Shared the jalapeño poppers and fried calamari as starters. Some of the poppers were quite spicy, but good. As entrees we chose the cowboy steak, the ribs, the burger and a Caesar's salad. Everyone likes their food, the steak was grilled the way I ordered it (medium raw) and the ribs were great too. Really liked the thick cut fries. Was a great ending after a day of hiking. Was actually on a solo road trip out here and found this place on Yelp after going up Angels Landing. So glad I did. Service: Sat by the bar and chatted with the guys till I left. Didn't feel like I was alone for a minute. Gave me a few suggestions on what to order because I was just too tired to think and even told me when their favorite time to go hiking was (during a full moon!). Food: Think I got the tuna tartar and zucchini fries along with a beer. I may have butchered the actual names of the dishes, but they were delicious. What a fun find Inside and out is intriguing to look at We were greeted with a smile of whom I'm assuming was a manager Super nice guy. We were seated in an area I'd call a sun room and handed menus. Just FYI It was 11:40am and we asked for lunch not breakfast menus and were told lunch was not served until 12, but were not offered to have menus to look at. So this was a really quaint little restaurant, and the staff was very friendly, but when I received my meal, I ordered the ribs, they were covered in barbecue sauce, so I didn't notice at first, and then, when I started eating them, I realized that they were very tough And dry, and then, after eating a couple of them I turned them over and realized they were completely burnt on the bottom. When I was almost done, I pointed this out to the waitress who asked if I wanted to get some other ribs to take home. I'm not sure why I would want to take home more of the same bas food. Descending to Southern Utah for a big regional pistol competition, me and my friends went to Stage Coach Grille for a hearty dinner after driving 12 hours straight based on recommendations lifted directly from Yelp. I was focused on getting their Cowgirl Rib Eye Steak dinner as I was really hunger. The rest of my friends had The Stage Coach Classic Burger, Linguini Alfredo, and more ribeye's for the rest, hehehe. An order of Jalapenos Pepper Popper also included for good appetizer measure. Stage Coach Grille is I guess just at the mouth of Zion National Park. The location feels like it's on an off beaten path but the décor, both inside and out, is uniquely Utah (country). The ribeye is delicious and tender. They did not quite get how I liked my steak (medium rare but got medium) but it was good. More importantly, did it pass the steak sauce test? Sorry Stage Coach, I needed a little A1 with my steak. My friend really did enjoy is burger which was good. It was unanimous though that we all enjoyed the jalapenos quite well. It is a delicious rendition I never had before: sweet yet spicy peppers with yummy filling; big plus on the poppers. A few caveats though. I was starching my head when they seated us in the terrace (and it seems like they want to fill it first before the inside dining place) when it was blowing hurricane winds that night? Also, no house bread to start things off? And lastly, the price is slightly on the high side, I would have had a very good steak dinner back here in the Bay Area. I went with a party of 5: 3 adults, 2 kids. The restaurant has an interesting fun artsy ambiance. While waiting for a table we ended up going around the front to look at the real interesting sculptures. The kids had some fun times playing I spy. (Our favorite are the eagles inside) We ordered for appetizers the Tzatziki dip and the calamari. Both the Tzatziki Dip and the Calamari were real satisfying. The calamari was not tough and rubbery; I was impressed by that because often it's overcooked. For entrees, we ordered Pork Chop, Stage Coach Chicken Fried Steak, and Smoked Ribs. All three entrees were well-prepared and were flavorful. Although, we had to wait quite a while for our pork chops but were told that Pork Chops take a long time to cook. It was a bit difficult to wait for pork chops and, in retrospect, wished the waiter had warned us about the long wait time. In the end, the Pork Chops was our party's favorite entree. We paid roughly $90 for this meal, excluding tip. But the waiter was excellent and we tipped him well for his kindness and comfort in handling the little ones. I am not kidding, I started to cry when I started eating the Tomahawk Steak. I cannot believe how amazing this experience was. The pricing may seem like a lot [we got a bigger steak, so our steak was $134] the QUALITY of the steak alone is worth it. If the steak isn't enough, you get a choice of potato, a choice of salad, and a side of sautéed veggies FOR TWO PEOPLE!! We went around 11am & wanted lunch, but they do not start serving lunch until 12pm. We left for almost 2 hours & I just knew I needed to go back. We were handed a lunch & dinner menu, and the second we saw the tomahawk -- we knew there was no other option. I could go on for ages. The herb compound butter??? Oh my god. ALSO, OUR SERVER WAS THE SWEETEST PERSON ON EARTH!!! She was just as excited about the steak as we were & she brought out the platter of the different steaks so that we could choose our own! This place is not bad, but it's extremely expensive for what you get. I paid $23 for a burger that was just okay. It cost $4 to add cheese and bacon to it. I felt immoral. I don't think it matters that it's wagyu when you grind it up and put it in a patty. Regular beef is just fine. I've had much better burgers for $10 or less. I thought about getting the Alfredo pasta ($20), but I wasn't willing to pay $17 extra dollars for shrimp. There were signs behind the hostess area that gave me a bad feeling about the place right away. One, in all caps and with many explanation points, demanding that employees NEVER look at their phone because they are all there to WORK HARD!!!! The service industry is not that serious. I'd prefer that my hostess/waitress is treated like an adult who can be trusted to do her job well (or as well as she is being paid to do) and also occasionally check the time or respond to a text during slow moments. It is creepy when management makes them do nothing and stare into space when there is no work to be done. It has a gross sweatshop feeling to it. The second sign listed all the side tasks that the hostess must do before she is allowed to leave. The tone of both of these messages was rude and demeaning. If these signs are in plain sight, it makes me think that employees are being treated 10x worse behind the scenes. I don't want to give my money to businesses that make working hours a living hell for their employees. Giving two stars because the fries were amazing and all of the staff were very polite, friendly, and helpful. The cowboy theme is cool. This place is good if you get to La Verkin late and have $100 to spend on food that is just okay. read more

I came here with my girlfriend as the 1st place to eat after a long drive from California. My girlfriend went inside and saw a white couple in front of her and they were seated instantly. My gf asked if there was a wait time and she was told an hour. At that point we were just confused as to what just happened. We were thinking of leaving but since it was really late and we didn't know where to stay we decided to stay. After 30 or so minutes we asked if we were going to be seated soon and they seated us that moment. For appetizers we ordered Onion rings with ranch which were really good! For my meal I had the baby back ribs which is my weakness at restaurants! Unfortunately, these were over cooked and burnt. You won't notice through my photos because it was layered with a lot of BBQ sauce on top. The meat didn't slide off the bone and the burnt parts were really annoying to eat (there was a lot). The mashed potatoes were good but I wish there was more. My girlfriend had the Chicken Marsala I think. I just remember it being layered with mushrooms. She thought it was solid but not great. Overall, I wouldn't mind coming back but the ratings sort of hyped both of us up to think this was going to be the best food around. I thought it was just okay since I've had better ribs. On the Harley's passing through ZION National Park. We arrived at this local burger joint, we just completed 200 miles on the Harley's, the outside the Bldg decor was attractive and eye catching. As you enter the restaurant the internal decor was modern western country, clean and attractive. Our group ordered Burgers, our plates arrive promptly, presentation was mouth watering and delicious, the burgers had full flavor definitely a hidden gem. We had just spent a couple hours in the magnificent Zion National Park, and were driving back to St. George at lunchtime. The Stage Coach Grille popped up on a search for a place to eat along our route. There are some statues outside the restaurant, including a stage coach with horses in a dramatic pose. Inside there was ample social distance between tables. Our waitress, Sulma, was attentive and good humored. My wife ordered a grilled ham and cheese which was, she said, wonderful. My Caesar salad had a generous amount of grilled chicken. My sister-in-law had a wedge salad that was beautiful and her husband ordered a "chicken fried chicken sandwich." Portions of everything were generous and we all agreed it was a lot of food for the price. Just before our meals were served, the owner came to the table, inquired where we were from. When he learned we were visiting from the upper Midwest, he told us he had helped all the Pizza Hut restaurants transition to delivery in Minnesota and surrounding states. I'd highly recommend this place if you're coming in/leaving from Zion National Park. We came in for dinner after doing a long Angel's Landing hike the morning of and this place puts the icing on the cake. I'd come back if I were to return to Zion. Food & Price: My boyfriend and I had the fried zucchini & tomahawk steak for 2 as a reward for the hike and it definitely felt like it, too. Food was cooked well, the fried zucchini felt like there was minimal oil and all the flavor was there. For the tomahawk steak, it was cooked to our liking, the server cut the steak in front of us to make sure it was how we liked it, and there was a great crust to it. On top of that the steak was grass fed, GMO free, I believe locally sourced, and some other things that I forgot. The garlic rosemary butter made it that much more better. In terms of price, some reviews say its pricey for what it is, but I disagree. comparing the menu to other places near Zion, I would say it is very reasonably priced. Comparing the price for the tomahawk to like places in LA, it is definitely worth it, considering all its attributes mentioned above. Experience: Our server, Kristina was such a sweetheart. She was prompt, payed attention to detail, and was very amiable. Pretty much the entire staff was amazing- the bus boy was attentive and made sure we had a good experience. Even the owner Rich stopped by to all the tables to make sure everything turned out great and there was even his own note to the customers in the menus. He told us the quality of the restuarant is owed to his staff- it was like a family there. You can tell there was heart in the restaurant and not just any other place vying for a tip (unlike a lot of restaurants lately). And as a plus, we had a view of beautiful horses. I just came from our hotel and icing my aching shoulder. Hostess seated my wife and I right under a blowing fan. I asked her If we could have the table for 4 in the corner away from the fans. She said we could not have the table for 4. She said all tables in the restaurant had blowing fans. I finally found a table for 2 in the front room somewhat alway from the blowing fan and she allowed us to seat there but provided no help in moving menus and table setting. I don't normally write reviews but I feel that this needs to be said to help any out of town visitors know what to expect when you come here. Ordered take out on a Friday night around 7 or so and wanted to just pay and leave due to covid. As soon as I got out of my car I knew it was going to be trouble as I saw some locals entering the restaurant without masks. I saw a sign by the restaurant that said masks are enforced so surely I thought the workers would enforce it. Nope. Zero enforcement. Some workers had masks on, some had face shields only, and some just had their face masks over their chin just chatting away with maskless customers. There didn't seem to be any social distancing in terms of indoor dining at the moment and every table was filled when I arrived. Take out orders had to be picked up by the bar area so I waved a waitress down to help me. Since she saw I had a mask she puts on her mask again to grab my order. She places my order by the bar area and some total stranger decides to grab my takeout order in an effort to be funny and the waitress jokingly scolds the customer to not do that. At this point I am just completely floored. Like did somebody seriously just touch my food? How is that at all okay at any time and especially during covid times!? The waitress just takes the food back from the stranger and hands it to me while I struggle to hold my food in one hand and sign the credit card receipt with the other. The atmosphere here and lack of any safety protocols is an automatic hard pass at this establishment. This is a really good steakhouse in the Hurricane (and sort of St. George) area. The service is great and if you like a place that feels like a steakhouse in the Southwest - this will give you that feel. It doesn't get 5 stars because, then what would you give a premier steakhouse. For the area, this is a great option. They appeared to have some rooms you could reserve for larger groups. Don't be afraid to make the journey out, you will be rewarded. As a steakhouse, I would stick with their steakhouse style dishes. Those at the table that had steakhouse fair loved their meal. Those that went with something non-steakhouse fair, were bummed they didn't get what some of us ordered. What a great find for us. We were visiting Zion NP (Springdale UT) and headed to Kolob Canyons but wanted to eat breakfast on the way. I pulled up Restaurants on G-Maps and this place was just south of the junction in La Verkin to head up to Kolob. We decided to give it a try.....wow. The food and friendly staff are 5-star. The portions are extremely large. Everything was fresh and flavorful. Out server Brittany was the best. It was so good that 2 days later when we were leaving Springdale to drive to Nevada we made it a point to stop again...DEJA VU....great food and service and Brittany was again our server. We only get up to Springdale every couple years but this will be a must go place for us. Since we were new to the Southern Utah area and being our 55th Wedding Anniversary, we were looking for some place Special to celebrate. We have traveled the entire United States at one time or another...dined at the Atlantic Fish Co. in Boston, Neil DeVaughn's Fish & Steak House in Monterey CA. to Cowboy's Tex-Mex in Florida...while the Service at the Stagecoach was as expected and should be, the food, especially considering the prices, was far less than we expected. A restaurant does not need to charge such exorbitant prices to convince customers that the food is edible. Honestly, it is apparent that the owners of the Stagecoach's primary goal is not to make money but to convince customers that it is perfectly honest to pay that much for a meal, regardless of the taste or where the beef came from, in order to enjoy it. Over-delivering is the Hallmark of Fine Dining...that not only applies to the Quantity of the product but is an absolute essential to the Quality of the product. FYI: As a reformed "drinker" it is not possible to distinguish between Wagyu Beef and Burger King after even one beer. So, if you are relying on drinkers to provide your feedback for the quality of your food...you are in for lots of great reviews. The atmosphere, both outside and inside, portrays a Tex-Mex style of menu...not this eclectic crap served here. As a visitor to this part of the world, a menu at least slightly Utahan might provide that visitor with the flavor of the local taste...not a reminder of where that visitor came from... We sent back to the kitchen...two Chicken Fried Steaks...the first one...Rare, the 2nd medium Rare...The plates (steaks) were covered with a thick, flavorless gravy which made the dish itself very unappealing and basically covered up the crime of raw meat...it does not take a connoisseur or chef to know that Chicken fried steak is a simple dish which does not require a Rare, Medium or Well done label. It is apparent that the Owners, Gen. Manager or Kitchen Manager, Cooks (can't call them Chefs) are confused about the Identity of this eating establishment...is it a Bar serving food or is it a Fine Diner or something else. A "word to the wise"...Chefs are Specialty cooks...this place has no "Signature" Dish or Signature Menu of any kind...leading me to believe there is no Chef. A Chef would not allow this kind of eclectic menu in his building. A final thought...the locals of this community love to support local businesses. However, the median income of this community is a little over $51,000...those Travelers visiting from around the US average income is around $93,000..The bottom line is that locals will not spend and do not have the kind of money they are asked to spend at this eating establishment more than once (they will give it a try but...)...hence, no local support but lots and lots of "one time" visitors...who rarely come back...over a short period of time this place will die (again) and look for new owners. read more

My man & I were on a mini vacation & we decided to visit Zion. We ended up staying in La Verkin & while finding places to eat we saw this place & decided to eat here. It took awhile to get a waitress to assist us & when we finally did my man ordered a burger w/ mushrooms & I ordered the Greek Salad w/ added chicken. For beverages I got an Arnold Palmer & my man got a lemonade. My man really liked his burger not a fan of the lemonade though & I enjoyed the salad definetly not the Arnold Palmer. After a long day hiking the Narrows, Stagecoach Grille was EXACTLY what we were looking for. It's hard to get good food out in Utah if you're not a beef-eater (though Stagecoach certainly had a large beef-based selection), but this was some good, hearty, HUGE portioned grub. Seriously, huge: no need to worry about ordering an appetizer that was expensive and turned out to be small. We had thought we might need to order multiple entrees given how hungry we were after hiking all day! Something really special about the place: waiters and waitresses were respectfully efficient, and extremely friendly. The owner Rich came around during our meal and chatted briefly with us. He clearly loves his restaurant and cares deeply about his service. He looked so happy to see us having a great date. The staff are also clearly happy, skilled, and extremely knowledgeable. Oh, and the restaurant is just so cute. The western theme is quirky and fun. We got the calamari (I know - in Utah? Yes. Among the best I've had), smoked ribs (they had a excellent spiced rub), and the Shrimp Scampi (they didn't skimp on the shrimp, that's for sure!). Go support local establishments. The food is over priced nothing under $25 and very bland. They don't season anything. They have "wagyu" burgers which are just regular burgers. The waitress never checked on us besides bringing water and food then proceeded to charge us a mandatory 20% when she did not deserve it.
