We enjoyed the best zucchini appetizer's and fresh, hot burgers and fries for lunch. I know, burgers and fries can be fast food, but these sounded so good that we couldn't resist. Visiting from California (heading to Zion) for our honeymoon and MAN were the ribs absolutely incredible. Delicious, fall-off-the-bone type ribs with amazing home made bbq. I loved the extra touch of the owner's explanation of what this place means to them in the front of the menu. Had an awesome waitress with such a great personality. Overall, just a great experience. Nothing special here. Maybe I just didn't get the right doIt was pretty slow when we arrived into town looking to get a late lunch. Our waitress was nice enough but seemed distracted by guests at the bar. Never got any water refills. I got the crab cakes and tomato basil pasta. Crab cakes definitely not worth the $18, good portion but the sauce that they served with it was broken and the flavor was alright. The pasta is basically buttered noodles with cherry tomatoes and Basil mixed in and a large amount of garlic in big chunks. An edible meal after a long drive but you could probably get something better in La Verkin or a town nearby. read more

What a treat to have our final meal here after several days enjoying Zion. We read the other reviews before choosing to have dinner here and relived the very positive experiences we read about. The ambiance was warm and inviting. Kristina was our server and was delightful - very attentive, asked where we were from, couldn't have asked for more. Rich, the owner, stopped by on 2 occasions. First to say hello and then to check on about how we were enjoying the food. The food was wonderful - I had the salmon Oscar special and my partner had NY strip - done to perfection. Even the grilled veggies were delicious: flavorful and still slightly crisp. The stage coach mule was great as well. We didn't feel at all rushed yet our meal was finished after just an hour, which included a simple but delicious slice of chocolate cake! Other reviews mentioned steep prices so we were prepared to have sticker shock, but honestly the bill felt very appropriate. Great flavor and neat decor. It looked as if the weather was going to get bad up ahead so we stopped in this little town for the night. We were pleased to decide on this restaurant. I had the pot roast dinner and was well pleased with the amount of food as well as the flavor. My wife and our friend, both ordered the ribs. Both cleaned their plates... so I think they enjoyed their meals as well. Wine is available by the glass and be the bottle. I would return the next time I travel through. What a great place. We stopped here for lunch. So glad we did. So much carved woodwork. From the saloon-type entry door to the interesting woodwork and wall decor. Now for the food. Our experience was exactly what we were hoping for. Perhaps this was just luck, but we made a last minute reservation online on a Friday night for a party of 6. I was shocked not only to get a reservation within the hour, but to also get seated right away. The service was good, the food was great, and the atmosphere was nice. The owner made his rounds more than once while we were there. If you are comfortable spending some serious dough, get the tomahawk for two. We had such a great experience here. My husband and I shared the pot roast special, the Greek salad, and French onion soup. It was so much excellent food. A little more than we could finish but not for lack of trying. The pot roast was my absolute favorite. Juicy, savory, melt in your mouth. It was the ultimate comfort food which was just what we wanted to warm our bones after our sunset hike. If we lived close by we would be here all the time. Our server Ember was so nice and helpful. Went here with my lady!! Was greeted by nice hostess and our waiter was great. She was very attentive and help with suggestions. Sorry I don't remember her name. She was older Caucasian lady. Very nice and sweet. I ordered the ahi tuna with the veggies. Amazing. Cooked perfect the veggie that came with zucchini, onion, squash. The ahi tuna with sesame crust was great. For sure recommend. My lady got the rib eye steak and garden salad with ranch dressing. Steak was great cooked on medium. Delicious. Highly recommend! We will for sure be coming back when we visit Utah again!!!! The food is amazing, we came to visit Zion from SoCal, went on yelp and found this place, got here around 7pm, there was no wait, they took us in immediately. The food was bomb, everyone at whole table was really happy with the food, and the cheese cake was exquisite, very creamy, not too sweet, with a hint of salt. After 3 days in Zion I decided to treat myself to a hearty meal. The Stage Coach Grille not only had an amazing vibe, but the food was delicious. I did have to wait 15 minutes even though it was just me, and reservations are highly recommended. Regardless, I had the breadsticks, and Chicken Fried Chicken (yes, that's the name) with a side of onion rings as my entree. The breadsticks and onion rings were amazing!!! The chicken was just okay, but not quite seasoned right. The gravy helped, but I will definitely be trying something different. This place is easy to see from the main road, and is not only a local favorite, but a favorite among tourists as well. read more

The place looked amazing, and food as well. Too bad we could not enjoy any of that. We walked in saw whole bunch of tables empty and got excited that we got lucky. Unfortunately hostess informed us we need to wait 50min. I could not believe my ears. I asked few times if she can accommodate us, even at the bar, we did not care. We just wanted to have quick meal and drink and get on our way. She was very stubborn explaining she has other walkins. We went to bathroom, hung out for few in min. More tables got empty and no one was taking seats. I went in and counted tables that were empty: 8 tables of different sizes. That was half of their restaurant. Unbelievable. I work in Hospitality business for 20 years and know that this is beginning of the end of the perfectly good restaurant. Empty tables and unhappy customers. That hostess needs to be retrained or replaced because she made this restaurant loose quite some money. Plus compensation for other staffers in tips. We walked out. I had passed by Stage Coach Grille a number of times while working in the area, but tonight ultimately decided to treat myself to a nice ribeye steak and a few other items from the menu. The service was incredibly fast (had to wait only 15 minutes for my pickup order), but unfortunately the feature item (the cowboy ribeye) left a lot to be desired. The mashed potatoes and gravy were great, grilled vegetables fine, and Caesar salad pretty good. But the ribeye was a big big letdown. The carmelization on the exterior was great, but it had not been seasoned! The fat cap - which normally is one of the best parts of the ribeye (most tender parts) lacked both salt or any other seasoning. Really the only portion that had seasoning was a couple sections towards the outer edge, while the rest was rather bland and lacked flavorful. Really sad since this seems like a great place and I think maybe they just had an off order, but was really looking forward to something tasty and there was a lot to be desired :( read more

At first it looks like a typical tourist trap with crappy food. Well let me tell you that it is NOT. We ate here twice because the food quality was so good. Everything tastes like homemade and they had great customer service. The country fried steak was the best I have had West of the Mississippi and the ribs were decent. Breakfast was great as well. I loved the decor which was very fitting for the atmosphere. Get the cream cheese apple crisp for dessert. I totally recommend. Plus they serve alcohol ;) read more
