My husband and I went in February to test drive the CX-5 and we loved the car and our saleswoman Edita, the woman who helped us with the test drive. So of course when we went back this weekend to get the car we sought her out. I honestly think she made our car leasing experience amazing. She was fast, straight to the point, no bs, & gave us a great deal (I had done my research prior to going in). I loved that she wasn't pushy, and aggressive because that usually turns me off of getting a vehicle. She was also sensitive to the fact that I was 8 months pregnant and did everything she could to make me feel comfortable & get us out of there at a reasonable time. Unfortunately, he left not too long ago which had me a bit worried, but there is another guy at the service department named Allen Morgan. Ask for him if you get your car serviced at the dealer. I've been driving the same car for 17 years. I LOVED IT, but knew about two years plus ago I needed to get a new one. Well, this year my hand was forced and here we are. I didn't want to do this for many reasons, however, Ron Hudson made it a pleasurable experience. We went in (on Saturday night) to see what they had in the Mazda3 sedan category and drove a couple. I left these pretty much thinking i was going to go back the next day and get the second car I drove. When we got there and started walking around again, I saw a couple of Mazda6 sedans (also on the short list) that looked good. So I drove 3 of those. Ron was patient and never discouraged us from driving anything. I am visual so I needed to see them layed out. Ron printed out pages (I know, but I couldn't do a spreadsheet !!) so I could compare them side by side to make a decision. He is also pretty funny so that helps to get through the painful part! We were the last ones to leave that night with my beautiful new Mazda6. And, as Ron predicted, I keep getting compliments on how beautiful she is. After driving a boring car for years, I wanted a car that is fun to drive and has a manual transmission. I learned that the Mazda 3 comes in manual, but after calling around, I couldn't find any dealerships with a manual option. I called Kyle Groom at Star Mazda, and he immediately began working out a plan to set me up with my desired car within a week. From the initial phone call to the signing, Kyle was extremely helpful. I come from a background of Customer Service and I have to say that after dealing with other dealerships, I wont say who, (NISSAN-UNIVERSAL), this was the BEST EXPERIENCE. From start to finish, the experience was exceptional. I must say that our salesman, Nick Barber was extremely professional, helpful and very knowlegable of the Star fleet. The sales manager, Ruben Rivera was very pleasant as well. He was very thorough as he went over all of our concerns and answered every little question that we had promptly and professionally. I had an excellent experience buying my CX-5 Grand Touring through the Costco Auto Program. Kyle Groom, their Internet Sales Manager, was the salesman, and he was great in his knowledge of the car, and also working to find the car in terms of color choice, exterior and interior, and also the technology options that I wanted. We went through the process largely through cell phone text messages, and it also really made the process easy and relatively quick. The Costco program means the price is set, which takes a lot of the misery out of the car buying process. Kyle and the Finance Manager, Steve, were also terrific but not pushy, which was much appreciated. All in all, a great experience, and I highly recommend! read more

He took his time explained the whole process from beginning to end. He is honest and doesn't push you to buy a car. I had bad experiences at other dealers with the sales people being very pushy and rude, but Kyle has changed my outlook he really made me feel comfortable. Great experience at Star Mazda. Our sales associate Kyle Groom was the best! He walked us through several different models of the CX-5, including test drives, until we found the one for us. We had to wait for our car to be driven from another dealer but that's because we were picky about the color. We did Costco pricing and got a great price as well as a loyalty discount and good financing deals. Our trade in value was also a big help, which we also got a great price for. I just got home from buying a certified preowned (CPO) Mazda CX-5. I had an incredibly positive experience both with my salesperson Abiel and with the finance guy Ryan, who was super fun and nice. I had taken my previous car here for service before and the customer service there was outstanding as well. It's so comforting to know you have done business with a company and with people you feel comfortable with and who consistently go the extra mile (pun intended?) - If you are looking for an incredibly attentive, patient, and kind sale person, please don't hesitate to go see Abiel. I'm excited about my car but this review is for the dealership and the people. Not to mention, the Starbucks coffee and hot chocolate machine in the waiting area. :) The other sales people I have dealt with are Victor and Kyle and they are both top notch, you won't regret working with either of them. First service on my certified used car - oil change was quick, Nathon (sp?) was professional, warm, and smiling. They checked everything, and there was nothing extra! No tacked on fees, no crazy emergency fix that would cost a lot of money - just what I asked for. Happy to have a competent, calm service dept for my car. :-) Also I checked their prices on a few things and they're totally in line with my other mechanic's price points. The GM Marc had said a few months ago that they were working on improving their service dept. From my experience, they have done a great job. After spending 4 days Car Shopping in the LA Market. I wish I would have started at STAR MAZDA. This Dealership is by far the absolute VERY BEST. I would give them 6 stars, because 5 just isn't enough! The moment the sales manager came out to greet me and asked what I was looking for and I thought what a breath of fresh air to not have to deal with pushy/rude salespeople. He was really nice and listened to what my expectations were. I appreciate they never tried to make me raise my budget or weazel me into a car I would not have been happy with. I enjoyed working together with Eddie and he found me the car with everything I wanted at an amazing price. Im so so HAPPY!! Customer service is something hard to find these days especially in a fully populated city where people start to mean $$$ to others. I felt like they actually cared in finding me a car not just after money. I came in with financing from my credit union and they even beat that. Like i said i went to over 30 dealerships this weekend and no one could beat it, but STAR did. Im very impressed with this dealership and I would recommend to all my friends and family not to go anywhere else. They work hard to earn your business. *UPDATE* I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!! Star Mazda of Glendale misled me when I purchased a vehicle maintenance plan for my leased vehicle. I was told at the time of purchase I could cancel at any time and be refunded the full amount minus any claims I made using the plan. After having one $79 oil change, I cancelled the plan, and was told I would only be getting $467.81 of the $895.00 price I paid. I cancelled the plan having the vehicle for only 13 months and putting approx. 5,000 miles on it. I have called and emailed the manager Jon M. asking him to honor the conditions for cancellation as was explained to me, but have gotten no response. I recommend that you save your time and money, and shop for a vehicle elsewhere. read more

I don't ever write reviews but I'm incredibly disappointed in the service I had here. I have a Mazda 3 from 2010 (I did not buy it at this dealer) that had a product recall issued for a faulty dashboard that was obscuring my vision, so I went in to have the dashboard replaced free of charge per the instructions from Mazda. The service department was very aware of the issue and had clearly had a ton of customers come in for the same replacement in the past year so maybe they just don't care at this point. I was told it would only take 4 hours. Dropped my car off at 8:30 AM, finally was able to pick it up at 5:00 PM - almost 8 hours. They had washed the outside of the car, but to my dismay, my two front seats were blackened with grease stains and fingerprints, and there was dirt and crud all over the interior. My service advisor Chris tried to claim it had come in this way, and that he saw nothing wrong, he said "we don't have dirty mechanics here" which is putting words in my mouth and not what I was saying. Rude. I'm aware car interiors get dirty over time, but this was definitely not the case. I keep my car VERY clean, to a point where I'm obsessive about it, I don't allow food or drinks in my car besides water, no trash, nothing. I do not take this lightly, and I certainly would have noticed if my seats were like this before. I pay attention to these things more than the average person. My seats are a light color, and were in excellent condition two years ago when I bought the car, and they were still in excellent condition when I dropped it off for my appointment. I complained more to Chris, and he still tried to tell me I was imagining things. But I was insistent, so he did offer to clean it free of charge if I came back in 3 days when they had time to fit me in. So I brought it back 3 days later. Left it for the day. I asked him to give me some paperwork to sign (as you would for any service being done) and he laughed and said "don't you trust me" - I'm sorry but no, I don't. When I picked up my car the seats were JUST as bad. I can't tell if they even tried, they didn't have seat covers or anything and the seats were totally dry. When Chris saw my disappointment he again tried to tell me my car is just old and the stains were there before! NO THEY WERENT! As the pictures show, no improvement whatsover. I'm never going back here. If it weren't for Mazda's stupid manufacturing issues I wouldn't have needed to go at all, and now because of that I'm sitting on filthy seats. A little apology would have gone a long way, but I didn't even get that. At least they reimbursed me the $20 of Uber rides this cost me, the very least they could do read more

,We leased a 2021 CX5. The ride was extremely uncomfortable. We felt every bump in the road and it felt like you were in a stagecoach. I took it back and the service dept (on the invoice)noted that they test drove it-no problem-. They also checked the tires-no problem. I then took it to my tire dealer who I have known for years. The tires were over inflated to 55psi and that the sensors should have gone off. I called John Mac. mgr. and notified him. He said they would p/u the car and give us a loaner to check the sensors and tires. Last week a repair person called thinking I needed a oil change. The mgr told me they don't tell the repair people what's wrong with the car. Wouldn't you know better than to give an oil change on a car 2 mos. old? The repair person said he would talk to the mgr and call back. NO CALL. I called the mgr of the service dept. He said someone would call. NO CALL. I called again and left a message. NO CALL. Now I'm going to write Mazda headquarters. I've had two CX5's with no problem. This is the worst service. Just void the lease, take the car back and we'll call it quits. They don't support their customers who have been customers for years. That's very sad. read more

He called me a Lyft and my car was ready sooner than expected . He sent another Lyft for me and even managed to wash my car and clean it from the inside ! read more

Went there in Nov 2020 to check my 2015 Mazda 6. They indeed did a mechanic check for me, but the process was not pleasing. First, the guy who was responsible for my car was nowhere to find during the process. Then, after the check, they recommended me to do some unnecessary "maintenance" of my car, which would cost more than $1300. I went to another reliable mechanic shop for a second opinion, and they suggested not to do something that works just fine. Not recommend this place for mechanic check. read more

Waste of my time and a bad experience with the service department. I had a warranty recall that needed to be repaired and made an appointment, when I arrived they told me it would be an hour and a half to diagnose the problem even though I knew what was wrong with the car because it was part of a recall and I had spoken to Mazda and set everything up before I got there. The service manager hates his job and shows it by being rude and condescending to customers. He should not be working in a field where he has direct contact with customers. read more

ZERO STARS!!! This review is for my dad. Long story short, he brought his car to Star Mazda on a tow bed as it was having battery issues. Charge wouldnt last even with recharge and that was causing other electrical issues. He said he was not checked for service as that usually happens at least when I go to Puente Hills for my Mazda. Thought that was odd. His car was dropped around 1pm on Thursday July 28 NO ONE called my dad on Thursday, Friday or Saturday to give any update. He finally called on Saturday to ask if his car was ready and it was but why did he have to call. Where is the customer service? Since he wasnt checked in he didnt any paperwork until he picked up his car. Paperwork said No issue was found. None of this made sense to me when I read the paperwork and I regret not accompanying my 82 year old dad. Since he had no answer as to what issues his car could have, he was nervous and insecure to drice his new car. I took matters into my own hands and took my dad to Puente Hills Mazda where I get excellent and professional service for my mazda. Allan listened to us and couldnt believe the lack of service received from Star Mazda. After a few hours he confirmed to us with an update call to say it was the battery and so they replaced it. Star Mazda shame on all your awful service. How could you treat your mazda customer like thisi? I hope your team gets customer service training as well as your mechanics might be needing some training as well. My brother and I will be purchasing new Mazda SUV's in the coming months and I can assure you we will be going to Puente Hills Mazda who knows how to treat their customers. read more

I had a great experience with Star Mazda. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and I didn't feel like I was being sold something I didn't want ( one of my fears when purchasing a car). What set the foundation for my experience was approaching the dealer through my financial institution (USAA), with agreement on the specific vehicle I wanted and the price prior to arriving for the test drive with my loan in hand. I had completed extensive research on the vehicle I preferred, and arrived with questions, which were all answered by my sales representative, Kyle. My test drive confirmed the features of the vehicle I wished, and showed me the way the car handled, which was the last thing I needed before my final decision to purchase. My sales representative was able to accommodate all of the driving experiences I requested (acceleration over 60mph, parking features). We also walked through becoming familiar with the car's technology features and dashboard layout. I felt welcomed and included by all the persons assisting us, and even those who were not, while on the showroom floor. The purchasing experience, while long as expected (waited somewhere between 1-2 hours to finalize the financing), went smoothly and positively as well.
