This is one extremely busy location. Personally I prefer more quiet ones. Yet "when in Rome do as the Romans do." Did find a seat to enjoy a needed mocha frappe. Was so tired, and the caffeine infusion helped. It is time for corporate, to bring new coffee editions. A lot of the coffees are acid loaded. Great customer service. Employees are very friendly. When you have a bunch of gift cards from starbucks, you load them up on your app and find the nearest one to work. This location is located on route 1 near the Lowe's department store. I've been here before but never to really sit down and type away at my computer. Today was different as I wanted to find a place that I didn't have to search for parking and didn't charge me for parking. I came in the afternoon probably around 3:00 p.m. and sat near the wall with the closest outlet. There were probably about six or seven people inside the coffee shop and we're also working. It was relatively quiet and the staff was very friendly and efficient. I always have to think of what I want when I come to Starbucks because I try not to order the same things over and over. Today, I looked up at the menu and was reminded how much I had enjoyed the brown sugar espresso drink with oat milk, so that's what I ordered. Ordered two very simple drinks. A cold brew with a shot of espresso and an iced Americano. 20 minutes later, we get our drink and the Americano came with milk and the cold brew had cream. Give it back. 20 minutes later, get our drinks. Cold brew was watered down and Americano was full of ice. Been here three times, and each time was a different issue. I think that's it for me. This location has been consistent with poor quality. I'm unsure if it's due to lack of training or improper training. However, they try to maintain quickness, but unfortunately, you end up with low-mediocre drinks and foods. Maybe properly trained managers and staff could fix this, but it's frustrating the amount of money you spend. just to have a poorly made drink and cold centered sandwich. Please get the right people in here. This location is a step up from the Dunkin Donuts just down the hill. Which is absolutely awful. This particular Starbucks is located in the Beacon Center off of Richmond Highway, a few stores down from Giant. As other Starbucks, the menu offers various freshly-brewed hot and cold coffee, teas, bottled drinks, smoothies, handcrafted sodas, frappes, sandwiches, and pastries. I personally think the place feels a bit cramped, but the baristas here are usually great in making good drinks, perfectly, on a consistent basis. Staff are friendly, and there's plenty of parking in the shared plaza lot. I visited a few days ago, on a Sunday afternoon. There were a bunch of people seated but there was still plenty of seats left. This location is in a strip mall in a unit sandwiched between Giant and Lowe's Home Improvement, as well as nearby stores Marshalls, HomeGoods, Party Depot, and others. Plenty of parking out front, lots of seats inside, and well-lit and deliciously fragrant inside. No drive-thru but it was just a short walk from the parking spots. There was no one in line so I was helped by the only cashier right away. The cashier was extremely upbeat, friendly, and helpful when I asked her about purchasing a gift card. She showed me my options on design and I picked one and asked for $25 on it. I presented my Chase app to pay, and she competently knew that Chase Pay was accepted at Starbucks, knew how to ring it up, and scanned my app without asking for ID. She handed me to loaded card and enthusiastically told me to have a nice day. Her positive energy really made my day! This is a Starbucks I would visit if I lived in the area. read more

Clean, spacious, right next to Lowe's. Friendly staff, very quick service. I usually don't like Starbucks coffee ( to over roasted/ too bitter for me) so I tried cold brew on ice this time and it was pretty good - it was not too acidic and was a great cooking refreshment on a very hot day . My husband likes Starbucks because of the bitter taste. He had a double espresso on ice and liked it . I took a sip of it and it was in deed too bitter with a taste of burned beans. The service was TERRIBLE. I placed my order on the app at 0955, received my sandwich at approximately 1014 and received my drink at 1023. Apparently my drink was ready around the same time as my sandwich but was never placed on the counter for pickup. After 8 minutes of waiting with the other 19 people that had placed their orders I asked the barista about a drink that was sitting next to him. I asked him if the drink was mine, he looked at the label and handed it to me without speaking to me. I gave the rating of 2 stars because my sandwich was delicious but outside of that the drink was filled with ice to the top and the service was terrible. This Starbucks is unbelievably disrespectful, the service in the mornings is awful and the cashier can't take orders although she's been there for months. The morning manager is so rude and is always giving attitude. They have gotten my orders wrong in multiple cases and it's only when I come in the mornings. Huge Problems with making a return of a mug. their system declined a refund on my debit card after several tries, I called Customer Service and they stated a System Wide problem. This Starbucks would not give cash instead. Also, they kept my original receipt with another item purchased. You can not make returns w/o receipt and they failed to give mine. I came back apx a week later to get the receipt. Had to file a chargeback for the refund to a diff. card that did not show up, which was against their so called return policy. Received no apology and no free cup coffee, Keenen lookalike stated he does not offer anything for your inconvience and that they told him not to. I live in a diff. state had to expend time and gas to pickup my original receipt to prove my purchases. read more

Ok, I've been in this Starbucks before and I'm sure that most of the time it is fine, but I need to complain about what happened today. I went to Starbucks in the AM with a friend and we ordered. It's a Starbucks, your experience is supposed to be pretty standard right? But it wasn't. My friend ordered a chai and I got a green tea creme frappucino. I've had the green tea thing before at other Starbucks, so I know how it is supposed to taste. We were waiting in line and the cashier was still ringing up someone else's order when a blonde barista shouted at us from some other part of the serving area. So like, she was taking our order in a haphazard way. When I ordered my green tea creme frappucino, I was surprised when the server asked if I wanted "sugar syrup in that?" Um what? I've been to lots of Starbucks before and they've never asked me that. I was confused. "They said, "It's basically sugar and water" I then said, "I'd like it the regular way, please." They took my name for the order. So, we waited for our drinks and kept hearing them call out some other woman's name. Then I realized when I saw the drinks that they were ours because there sat the chai and the green tea drink, a pretty specific order. They had gotten our name for our order wrong. When we tasted the drinks, they were completely awful. They were filled with this horrible sickeningly sweet syrup, seriously, I've never had anything like that at a Starbucks before. Like I said, I've ordered that drink before at other Starbucks locations and it never tasted like that. It was filled with artificial sweetener, in a higher concentration than I've basically ever tasted. Imagine having a sip of corn syrup or aspartame? That's what this was like. My friend complained cause her drink had the weird syrup too. It also had heavy whipped cream in it which she hadn't ordered. I considered my drink to be inedible and had to toss it out after a few sips. My friend drank hers and then said she felt sick. She got a head ache and a stomach ache. We would have gone back to complain but we didn't have time because we had somewhere else to be. Seriously, it's the worst experience at a Starbucks that I've ever had. (Can't say that I've ever had a bad one before this). I realize that this particular location might be ok most of the time. This might have been flukey, but frankly, the staff at this location need a serious talking to from the management. Either the girl who took my order was really sloppy or she was deliberately screwing with the drinks. Unacceptable. I'm giving this place 1 Star based on this experience today. That doesn't mean it is always 1 Star everyday, but I wouldn't wish today's experience on anyone. Fortunately I don't have any underlying health conditions but I know that some people do, which is why I feel the need to complain like this. For someone with high blood pressure or diabetes, a mistake like that could really hurt them. On professionalism: Cashier (tall, thin, bald man) greeted me with, "What can I get you man?" (Uh, I'm female, can't you tell by my frilly blouse and breasts?). I gave him my order. When he asked me for clarification on part of my drink, I told him my order, and he said, "yah yah, I got it" as if I were nagging him. WTF? While waiting, I watched as the Barista (older man) looked at what the cashier had written on the cup. He had to ask for clarification from the cashier and looked as if he was irritated that he had to make my high maintenance coffee. They didn't seem to work well with each other and neither one of them seemed like they want to be there. I didn't get a friendly vibe from this location. I think that this is the best Starbucks in my area and I have been to many. The people are friendly and my ice decaf coffee with soy milk is always right. I have know idea why however all if the staff makes it the same. Plus the Starbucks is not small like some of the others in my area. and there are a lot of outlets to plus my laptop in for power. This location is a coffee shop. It sells coffee. Like previous reviewers, I too have passed through this location lots of times (including today), usually only around the butt crack of dawn on way to work or late at night on way back from, but have to admit I usually get polite, good service. It is usually not too bad of a wait, but comparable to the Panera Bread just down the street from it in the same shopping complex. I kinda prefer the Krispy Kreme farther up the road for coffee and a sneaky donut(s). :/ I've been to "better" Starbucks locations, but this one is usually fairly crowded and next to impossible to get sat down in, especially on weekends. I've never had an issue with the wrong drink given me, or the coffee tasting horrible, so no complaints there. I have to admit though that I'm a straight-forward coffee drinker. Not to say variety isn't the spice of life, but I have no clue what all the other drinks are that other reviewers have mentioned in their reviews before me. All I know is a strong, potent, black coffee. A good ol' Americano. At least though I realize now that if ever I wish to experiment with my caffeine of choice, I should carefully consider whether it will be in this specific location or not. read more

I ended up with a latte and it was fine, if not what I asked for. "I'd like a cafe au lait," I said. "A what?" "A cafe au lait." "Let me ask the manager." "That's the same thing as a latte," the manager said. "No it isn't," I said. "At Starbucks it is," she said. I wasn't going to argue. I have no need to prove I am right. Just give me a drink that consists of coffee with milk. A latte is close enough and it was fine. But don't tell me what I want when I disagree with you and don't try to cover up your own ignorance with insistence that someone else is wrong. It is fine to not know and ask how a customer likes something made. But how can you run a coffee shop and not know what a cafe au lait is? I've been to many Starbucks in my day but this may be the worst. My instincts told me to turn around but I thought it couldn't be bad just because two crack heads were arguing outside the door. I ordered a spinach wrap which looked fine but as I got to the middle, the egg was cold. I ate it because I don't like to return half eaten good and plus it is already pre cooked. Then I tasted the coffee. Tall caramel macchiato. Awful! It tasted like warm mill with a little caramel flavor. If had enough so I took it and asked for another shot because all I tasted was milk. He asked if I usually get it somewhere else and that they make theirs a little different. They have me an extra shot and it still tastes like garbage.
