First of all, Aileen is a very rude barista! I asked her for the code to the bathroom prior to ordering and she rolled her eyes and said the code in a very bothered way. Besides that, the bathroom was very dirty with urine in bowl and the floor very dirty. Second of all, Aileen was rude once again when my friend asked her if she can refill the creamer. Aileen didn't make eye contact at all not acknowledging my friend and rudely said "I'll get it when I'm done with this." It wasn't even busy! I always order mobile almost everyday and my drinks are made perfectly. The baristas really pay attention to the customized coffees my boyfriend and I gets. Sometimes little mistakes are made but it's totally fine. Like cold bakery items but you can always ask them to reheat it. Today I got a hot caramel brûlée drink when I ordered it to be iced. Probably my least favorite Starbucks to visit. I usually come here for the convenience since it's nearby, but I have experienced better service, drink quality and craft at other Starbucks. However, I must add that the space and seating arrangements have improved since the last time I came. GOODS: -probably the most "study friendly" starbucks I've seen: nice long tables and lots of seating to accompany any need--study, catch-up session, or alone time; most if not all seats have an outlet right underneath -free wifi, per usual, that is not spotty NOT-SO-GOODS: -worst customer service I've ever received from a Starbucks: every staff I have encountered here has an attitude, and are not willing to make it your best experience; they seem to want to get your order over with and get out -drink crafting: the drinks are never made right the first time; I had to ask them to make the Sweet Cream Cold Brew three times, until I gave up, since the barista at the 2nd time said "that's just how it's suppose to taste. Yes, I know, a Starbucks. We all know what to expect from a Starbucks, but what this one has that makes it stand out from most of the other ones in and around Cerritos is its location. It's located on South Street and Gridley Road, which is a major commercial intersection since part of it constitutes the Los Cerritos Center mall. It enjoys a prominent spot and can be seen easily if you're driving from any direction. The Italian-styled water fountain right outside on the patio is perhaps one of the best pieces of public art in the city. It definitely makes the corner more attractive and lends a certain European quality. There are lots of people who come here at night and you'd be hard pressed to find a seat inside or outside. You get a slew of people from all backgrounds mingling here and talking politics or drama. It's kind of hard to believe, but I actually saw Scarlett Johannson buy coffee here once. I was reading a newspaper and when I looked up, I saw her come in with a guy who was shorter than she was (and she's not that tall herself). It was a winter late afternoon and she was dressed in a green sweater. After buying her drink, she went to the napkins and condiments section to probably tinker a bit with her coffee. This made her directly stare at me, since I was sitting on the opposite side of this condiment island. We made brief eye contact and she smiled and she went back to touching up her coffee. I said "Scarlett!" kind of softly to see if she would react. Again, she looked at me and smiled as I waved at her. Obviously, being a celebrity, she didn't stick around to enjoy her coffee, she was probably was in the area to do a movie scene and passed by and saw this Starbucks Coffee shop prominently located at this busy intersection! read more

I come here to study but it gets pretty crowded during the weekends. It's a pretty spacious Starbucks so you won't feel cramped when you're inside. I my only critique of this place is that they dont ask for you're name (like most Starbucks do). Today was the longest time I ever stayed in a Starbucks Coffee because I had to do a test with a study group which lasted for 4 hours! At this Starbucks, it was much larger than the ones I went to in the past. They had a lot more seats and tables, which in turn came with a lot more plugs for computers and cell phones. The staff members were somewhat shy and when they called out people's orders, they weren't loud enough. All Starbucks has it's occasional loud talking customers and obnoxious business men/women, and now with this frappe fad going, their blenders are no longer taking a break. My favorite overpriced beverages: - Java Chip Frappe - White Chocolate Mocha Frappe - Caramel Frappe - Cafe Misto w/ Soy - Caramel Machiato - Strawberries and Creme - Vanilla Bean - Black Coffee (which is a buck fifty...) After finishing my Protein Berry Workout, I was still in there for a good 3 hours, so since I was using Starbucks resources (and still recovering from a horrible hangover) I ordered their in season pumpkin latte. To make it simple and clean, it didn't taste like pumpkin at all, it was 350 for a short (8oz), it didn't taste good, and I'm not getting it again. You know, my experience with Starbucks is generally good, with the exception now and then of a horrid store. This one really took the cake in my opinion. I stopped one day, a couple months ago (catching up on my Yelping today) to do some work. Went inside and the few tables were taken. That's fine, perfectly happy to work outside in nice weather. I get my drink, head outside, and every table was open, so I picked one that was partially shaded from the sun, and started to unpack. An employee approached me and said the table was reserved for their hiring fair. I moved to another table, and he followed me and said the same thing. I looked at him and said, what table, out here, is available for me to sit and drink my beverage. He apologized and said they were ALL reserved for their hiring fair, despite the fact that only 1 table had about 6 Starbucks employees (managers) sitting at it and 1 other had an interview going on. I walked over to the table full of managers and said that it was disappointing that a regular customer couldn't sit and drink their coffee at one of the 6 unoccupied tables, because they were reserved for the hiring fair. One of them looked at me and she said, "We're sorry for the inconvenience, we hope you'll come back another time." HAH! I'll pass. That's what happens when you give 19 year old kids management jobs. This is my favorite Starbucks outside of Seattle. What makes this Starbucks special is the fact that you can chill outside and watch motorists get driving tickets at the red light cameras @ Gridley and South Street. Let me start by saying that the 2 stars are only due to the fact that I feel this location can be understaffed at times quite frequently. Which leads to pretty long wait times. Sunday mornings can be brutal. For such a central location in Cerritos in a busy shopping center, you'd think they'd staff appropriately. The location can be a bit hard to get to as the parking area is always packed. If it's not early morning, you might need to park closer to Target and walk. The Starbucks itself is quite large in size with a large indoor seating area and a large outdoor seating area. The outdoor seating area is next to the huge fountain. If it's not too hot outside, it's quite peaceful to sit outside and enjoy the sounds of he fountain. The staff here have always been pleasant to deal with and have yet to make a mistake in my orders. Even when it's crazy busy. So great job to the staff! Overall, a nice location with not much parking. Avoid the busy times of you don't like to wait. Otherwise sit back and enjoy the coffee and the fountain. read more

This is a spacious location that is more for the studious types and impromptu biz meetings--after all there are not many cozy seats but definitely plenty of tables and straight-angle chairs. You may want to know this:...not a ton of power outlet options... BUT this location is by far the BEST PATIO SEATING in any location I've seen. For a Wednesday night, this place was packed! There were no empty seats inside and sitting outside in the 50 degree weather did not sound so pleasant either. We came in and the cashier was ready to take the order for us, but I had no clue what the prices were (note to self: be sure to wear glasses for future reference). I ordered the green tea latte and though it was more milk than tea (can hardly taste the tea!). There were bits of the recipe not mixed in so well at the bottom of the cup (was it sugar? it was flakes of green stuff...) so I had to end up shaking it up myself. Never have had a bad experience. This is the location we all go to for work especially when doing a coffee run for the rest of our co-workers. I've come here at all hours and never felt like I was waiting too long. I even messed up my own order (forgot to ask for almond milk) and they were kind enough to remake it for me at no extra charge. I've been to a lot of Starbucks all over the country, and one thing is always true. Almost every Starbucks gets only 2 1/2--3 1/2 stars on Yelp, consistently. I find that odd. One of the great things about these Starbucks is that I know what I'm getting. They are consistently good, and that's why I frequent so many of them. They all maintain a certain level of quality, and in my experience on-line, all my complaints and concerns have been addressed adequately. I love that I can rely on any Starbucks I stop at, and I love the fact that they really are all over the place. It's just like that scene in Shrek where the giant gingerbread man destroys one coffee shop, and everyone runs, screaming, to the same coffee shop across the street. Everywhere I've gone, I've relied on the clean restrooms at Starbucks, their treats and drinks, and wifi. Yes, things vary because it's just the way it is. The same person can make the drinks a little differently depending on lots of factors. Fruit from the same tree will taste different depending on where it was, when it was picked, how it was handled, etc. Yes, sometimes it's slower, and sometimes its faster, but generally speaking, they're pretty fast. It's comfortable to visit. I love the reliability. As far as I'm concerned, they all deserve 4-5 stars. read more

I usually come to Starbucks at least once a week around 6:00pm to focus on my studies. It's a perfect social place for your friends and kids. It's fine for a casual date if you're looking to go there. The parking is very hectic at this time on the weekend. But other than that, it's fine. But, hopefully you arrive at the right time to grab yourself a parking slot. I have not encountered any problems during all my visits here.
