I know the workers here ultimately mean well, but holy cow I have completely been turned away from ever mobile ordering here again. Placed a mobile order earlier this afternoon- it took 25 minutes to make. I almost had to walk out because I was running late to work- I had no idea it would have taken that long. It has never ever taken this long to make a mobile at every other location I've been to, and I've placed mobile orders at many. I know sometimes the afternoons can get busy but the lull of customers had slowed when I was there and there seemed to be no sense of urgency behind the counter. I ended up being super late to work, left dashing out the door with my drink super anxious and very unhappy. I hope management sees this review and does something to improve this situation, because it seems that a handful of people have been dissatisfied by this as well. read more

The Clayton Station Starbuck shines during the morning hours. The drinks are well made, the Baristas are friendly, and all beverages are served in a timely manner. HOWEVER, avoid this Starbucks in the afternoon. Service is s-l-o-w and the Baristas are unfriendly (it is a different crew from the morning). You aren't greeted with a smile, in fact, you aren't greeted at all. And if you are ordering a latte, you need to be willing to wait until they fill all the blended drink orders first, including the ones placed after yours (we waited 20 mins for ours). read more

Staff is always friendly here, no complaints about quality, but they need more help! The mobile app will say your wait is 2-5 minutes, and multiply that by 4 on most days. They only have 2 people making drinks, one of them is pretty slow. I get my food like 10 minutes before my dAnd it's a super busy Starbucks. Just be prepared for a long wait in the morning even if you mobile ordered. There are always a crowd of people waiting for their orders. Well... not only was my drink not ready but I had to wait like 15 more minutes. And there was hardly anyone in there! I waited in line while the barista decided to chitchat with somebody she knew in front of me. I got sick of waiting went to the bathroom came back and they were still chitchatting. I waited a little bit longer she didn't even acknowledge me. If your going to socialize with customers that's fine, but at least help the others in line as you're talking so they don't have to wait for you. read more

Friendly staff. The negative is how dirty the place is. The floor at 8AM is filthy, bathrooms really bad. So when do they clean?!!? There is also a homeless guy sitting out front smoking and pouring alcohol into a cup that he got from Starbucks. Today there was a homeless woman inside, grossly dirty, twitching and talking to herself. Then she took her shoes off and sat in one of the big leather chairs, feet under neath her. I go to many different Starbucks throughout my weeks, but I wanted to leave a review for this one because I think they have the best staff! They also spelled my name correctly on my water cup. First off, I have to say that the staff is very nice and friendly and I've never had a problem here with them. They're fabulous and I wouldn't change a thing about them. Four stars for them!! This is definitely a neighborhood watering hole, judging by the number of folks that come by to congregate and talk. Lots and lots of regulars, from older retired types to well-to-do housewives and young couples and teens driving their Daddy's BMW. I've got nothing against that except for the fact that I've been given the evil eye, more than once, when I've presumably taken someone's "regular" seat. Sorry but unless your name is ON the damn chair, I got here first and I am. not. moving. Road warriors, telecommuters, freelancers beware. In the mornings, this is NOT the place to hunker down with a cup of coffee to work. The regulars here are very, very loyal to their Starbucks and take up a good chunk of the coffee shop on all days of the week. Which, I suppose, is what they're there for but if you're the type that loves working in coffee shops, this probably isn't the place for you. Fridays are the worst but Monday through Friday can be just as bad. You're not likely to find a seat during prime time (8:00 ~ 9:30AM) and even if you do, you risk getting the Evil Eye but one of the regulars. The rush generally gets better after 10:00AM on Monday through Wednesday but on Thursdays, you're far better off parking your telecommuting butt at the local library (free Wifi, lots of seating, no Starbucks obligation). Fridays, well, just get a cup of coffee and enjoy a few hours off, for once. And even if you DO get a seat, there aren't many outlets. All Starbucks are the same, since they have amazing quality control. The thing that makes this location stand out is their great customer service. I ordered a hot tea with some honey packets on the side and Ari, the guy I ordered from, offered to add the honey packets in for me. I've had a few business meetings inside this Starbucks. It's one of my favorite locations. It's well-lit, spacious and open, and has large tables available. It's very comfortable with friendly service. Plus, my drinks always come out fresh and delicious. I most recently had their shaken black iced tea. It was good, plus it's one of the cheapest things on the menu, and not very filling. I used one of the big tables for sitting down and working. It was clean and convenient. Great location! read more

This is a very busy location! Most of the people who live in Clayton visit this location, since it is at the main exit of the town. It is busy, but you don't wait long after you order. The drinks come out right, and the service is friendly and efficient. There's a good deal of seating, both indoor and out. However, you may have to fight for it, as many of the regulars sit down for hours at a time. It's a nice place to enjoy the sun on a lazy morning, when you have the time. read more

I ordered a tall soy chai latte, and blueberry muffin, in which both were incorrect. I was erroneously given a blueberry scone. I took it back to the lady who took my order, and she ended up giving me the correct item. I went to sip my soy chai latte, and realized it was coffee, which I do not drink. Again, I took it back to the lady who took my order, and asked for a refund as I was not able to wait around for them to make me another drink. The lady refunded me a partial refund. I explained that she charged more for my drink, due to it being made with soy, and would like refunded what I paid. There seemed to be some confusion, but after explaining it a couple of times, she went and got someone from the back to assist. I am disappointed that she, nor the lady who came out from the back to help, didn't apologize, or offer me a gift card to enjoy a tea on them, at another time. read more

I'm a loyal SB coffee drinker and when I pay almost $5 for a coffee via mobile app, I expect someone to acknowledge me when I walk in to pick up my mobile order. I hope this SB realizes that since they keep the drinks behind the counter, they do need to pay attention and help us. . I don't think I should have to wait 4 minutes for you to finish stocking cups and taking inventory and baking in the oven to only walk over to the mobile area and completely ignore me. And then when I ask for my order WHICH IS RIGHT IN FRONT OFF YOU, you can't even look at me and you tell me you will be right with me and walk away to help the customers at the register who JUST GOT THERE!! You definitely saw me standing there as well as so did all the other girls but Chelsea was right next to my drink. I was SUPER ANGRY AND FRUSTRATED with CHELSEA for treating me that way. Of course, I'm a minority and the 2 girls at the register were Caucasian. I'm not saying she's racist, but all she had to do was literally extend her arm and pass me my drink that was right in front of her. My drink was the only one there too! There were 4 girls there behind the counter talking to each other while stocking cups, taking inventory, and baking (Chelsea). Actually one of the girls was busy making drinks. You think one of them could have acknowledged me for my mobile order.....NOPE! And to Chelsea....if you don't want to provide customer service or work with the public then you should look for a desk job where you can sit, stare at the walls all day, and pick your nose wondering why you treated a human being the way you treated me. . It's total BS that you come to work at Starbucks to treat a customer that way. Me being a loyal customer is what pays your salary!!! And because of the way you treated me, I will never go back there. I think Starbucks could have a store on Mars or the Moon, and after an adjustment for the gravity you would feel like you were at your local Starbucks. I mean. However, we have to set a minimum of 20 mins on our schedule if we want to stop at Starbucks on our way into town. Props for preparing my favorite, off-menu salted caramel hot chocolate. But this was a bummer: The hours posted on yelp said this location was open until 9:30pm. I was surprised when 9pm came and the young, blond, female barista with glasses approached our cozy corner, interrupted our conversation and said, "You need to leave we're closing." She proceeded to stand there and watch us gather our things and then herd us all out the door. I've been in retail/restaurants for 12 years and I have never approached a guest/client and told them to leave. Especially not before the posted closing time. Our coffee purchase was not enough to allow us to enjoy the ambiance of our favorite Clayton Station Starbucks. I don't usually go to this Starbucks because of the bad customer service in the past but today I decided to try again because it had been awhile. I wish I didn't go. The cashier at the front (a taller girl with brownish hair and a red bandanna wrapped around her head) was very rude. I seated myself at a table so I could take a quick second to decide what I wanted and moments later when I approached the counter to order she let out a sassy "are you ready now?" I let it go and proceed to asked if a certain drink had milk in it...she looked at me like I was an idiot and said "whole milk" again with an attitude. I should have left at that moment. I obviously asked because I'm unaware of how they make it (or have dietary restrictions). After finishing my order she gave the cups to the other girl who was making the drinks and turned around. She didn't bother to tell me when it was okay to put my card in or ask if I wanted a receipt. I paid for my drinks and stepped to the side. She didn't want anything to do with me. Starbucks if you see this...offer the employees at this location a customer service crash course. read more

It's been a long time since I have been to Starbucks & when I looked up to see the drink choices on the menu I had no idea what any of those drinks were. One of their workers noticed that I was struggling and recommended what she said was one of the holiday drinks. I just went along and went with her recommendation and I'm so glad I did because it was exactly what I needed. Leslie also helped me add my starbucks card so I could start earning points and pay through my phone.
