I love Starbucks, I really do. But this location has disappointed me more times than I can count. Bogo brekki sandwich special and they ran out!!! Only croissants or ham?!?!? Disappointed! I use to come here often!! My work is near by... And my Americano is a disappointment (water tastes terrible making the espresso nasty), never that friendly here, rushed, and no stoppers for my coffee to-go?!? They have messed up my soy order with milk 2x now. Where is the quality control!? I don't understand how this location is so terrible compared to the one off Beat Street? Hands down the best Starbucks I have been to in Orange County. They always make the perfect drink! When you order an add shot YOU GET an add shot, other places tend to be horrible at getting add shots right. Service has always been impeccable each visit although they have a line generally out the door Monday-Friday's at 8AM. It is around business offices so tons of people come in early morning to get their coffee. When I've come in the afternoon the lines do not seem to be as bad. Overall I always have a pleasant experience, they do not take long making your drink after you order either. Perfect drinks, perfect service, definitely worth the trip. read more

To everyone I know, I'm a Starbucks guru (only because I'm here so often). This store! I love love love every single person that works here. They're WONDERFUL. I live across the street and work right behind here (lucky me, I know) so they see me frequently. They ALWAYS remember my name AND my order. And I know they do that with a lot of the customers. I always feel welcomed here and like they actually care about their customers. This is forever my favorite store. In fact, there's usually no one in front of me in line. This Starbucks has a lot of space, with plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. My family are frequent patrons of the Marriott across the street so when we're in need of a Starbucks fix, this one is conveniently located across the street. I've stopped a few times on the way home from a South Coast visit too. It used to be open and closed really weird hours. It would close early on weekends, etc. because it's in a largely business area, but thankfully now they have a schedule more like the other locations. Some other users have commented on the crowds because of the hotels nearby but I haven't experienced a really long line in any of my visits yet. As others have said, very friendly baristas here. The last time I went, the girl at the cashier accidentally charged me for a grande instead of a venti but told me not to worry about it. I love all of the outdoor seating they have too, more than a lot of other locations have. It's nice that it's a whole separate patio too, not shared with anything else. It's a good, much quieter location if you want to get some studying done. They're usually well stocked with everything too. Since it's in a business type complex, parking is always easy on weekends too. I have yet to go on a weekday so I can't speak to what it's like then. Some of the spots do have time limits though so be wary of that. Another reviewer mentioned a drive thru too but I don't believe this one has a drive thru. I was at the Marriot directly across from this location. I was really needing some breakfast, a bagel to be exact. After being told at the Marriot hotel cafe that a bagel would cost me $6 ... I looked into other near by options. Starbucks was there for me. I told my story to the cashier/barista who helped me and he felt my annoyance. The staff is really friendly but really am efficient, even though it was the top of the morning, the staff kept the line going and were uber friendly to each customer. I like this Starbucks a lot Pros: - Nice outdoor seating area - 4 indoor tables (2 with cord access to plug in) for using the internet and computing, and usually there's at least one of them available. - Nice staff - For me, it's walking distance from my apartment. Cons: - It can be COLD in here. I'm sitting here as we speak and it's nice enough for a t-shirt outside, but you need a jacket in here cuz they have the A/C cranked. Seems like it's been cold the last 4-5 times that I've been here. If you're prepared, no big deal, but if you wanted to sit around and weren't prepared, it's chilly. - Internet speed can be hit or miss, depending on how many people are there maybe? Although it is usually good! - Can get super busy in the morning and right after lunch with everyone (Experian people next door) coming in/back to work. Like I said, bottom line is that I like it here. Pros outweigh the cons, and at the end of the day: Starbucks is Starbucks and you know what you're getting. read more

My usual store messed up my cold brew (how, I wish I knew) so I brought in my messed up coffee to this store and asked if I could pay the difference for my usual afternoon drink (Violet drink). It feels silly saying this, but not all Starbucks are created equal. This Starbucks location isn't bad at all, but it IS inconsistent. I order the same two drinks every time (soy chai latte or soy London fog latte), and while they are usually phenomenal here, sometimes they're really... Not. I of course have a bit of a theory here: this Starbucks get busy. Very busy, with lines out the door. This of course means the baristas are a little more frazzled, and I imagine this is why the quality slips from time to time. With that said, even during the longest lines, I've always found the baristas so, so friendly. They take their jobs and their customer service seriously, and if I complain (I don't often), they've always been more than willing to remake my drink. That's why I give this Starbucks 4 stars instead of 3. In any case, because of the lines, you should definitely order on the app if you're going in any time between 8:45 and 9:30 and 10:30 and 11. read more

This is my favorite Starbucks location. The employees are welcoming, friendly and most importantly, work really really fast ;) My co-worker and I usually drop in a couple of times a week and we're always out in a couple of minutes--tops! The drinks are always consistent and we've never experienced a mistake on any of our orders. The main reason why I love this location so much is that it is never really busy. Compared to the other locations in the area (the one on Bristol and the couple on Baker), this one is relatively empty and quiet. I honestly feel that it's one of the more "hidden" locations, but shhhh! Don't tell anyone! I guess that kills the purpose of this review, right? This sbux is located in the heart of the the business empire across from South Coast Plaza. It's nestled at the end of Anton blvd, almost in a no-man's land of nothingness. It stands next to a large, looming building and is accompanied by a Robeks and a Quizno's. The only other buildings are a few hotels (Westin, Marriott) and apartment homes. It's pretty much isolated from all other retail establishments. I don't go to sbux often but when I was a student, I used to frequent such coffee establishments for their free wifi and would greedily take up their table space. The worst part about spending hours at a sbux or coffee house is that you literally reek of coffee at the end of the day. You pull out your lap top, pull that sleek baby open and what hits you? A strong whoomph of coffee aroma. Fabulous. The smell clings to you - your clothes, your hair and it even permeates your skin. Ack. Well, I guess this is better than the smell of charcoaly korean bbq. Or is it? Anyway, I typically come here when I'm tired of panting over dazzling jewels, luxe wear and delicious accessories at the famous and ravishingly expensive South Coast Plaza while I await for the end of the day for when L gets off work. I sit myself down at one of the many available tables (every time I come here, there is never a paucity of seating) and pull out a book (I'm currently re-reading Murakami's Hard-boiled Wonderland and the End of the World) or fool around on the internet (aka Facebook, Yelp, blogs, forums, etc.) Patrons are almost all business men and women. They walk over from their chilly office buildings to stretch their legs and get an afternoon pick-me-up. I see a few people chilling by themselves, reading or studying, or couples tete-a-tete over one of the smaller tables deep in conversation. The whir of a blender sometimes cuts through the soft music playing in the background. But otherwise it's one of the quieter sbux. Most likely because this is one of the few I frequent where children aren't, or very rarely, present. The bathrooms are big and clean, the staff is friendly and there is an expansive outdoor patio. The only downside to this place is the lack of outlets. Otherwise, this may be one of the fave sbuxes. read more

Wow I had the pleasure of going to this Starbucks waiting for someone. Upon entering this Starbucks, I must say this location is very very clean! I'm not surprised considering that it is in Irvine in the middle of businesses. I ordered a green tea lemonade and they made it perfectly! It was somewhat slow but the barista took my order and also made it for me. She was super friendly and very knowledgeable! I had to get a refill to get her name to be honest. If I had to come here again, I do hope she is working! This place layout is somewhat off but I like how they have chairs like in the front so it's peaceful! And the AC definitely feels really nice regardless of sitting next to the door. Note: you have to pass the light and make an immediate right since you can't enter the other way. Cheers! read more

I had inadvertently ordered a Strawberry Refresher instead of a Pink Drink. The barista could have easily added coconut milk to the drink to remake it and I would ha e gladly paid the difference because it was my mistake. I told her I did not want the drink. She said she could either give it to me or toss it. I asked her to toss it, and then I had to pay again for the drink that I wanted. This all could've been avoided if she had been more generous with her time and not been so rude about me ordering online incorrectly. read more

I live right across the street from this Starbucks and my husband and I go here often. I'm not going to rate the coffee because it's pretty standard everywhere but the staff here is amazing! They are so polite and professional and one of them even remembers everyone's name! One of the best Starbucks locations I've routinely gone to. Great service and the drinks are always made right. The baristas are very friendly and quickly remember the regulars and their orders. This locations is very close to many office buildings and therefore is generally staffed with quite a few baristas at any one time. This makes the locations very fast at filling orders, very clean, and a very pleasant place to relax at if that's your pleasure. The only drawback is how busy it can get before office's open in the mornings. At this time they usually have four or more people working and even with more than ten customers at a time you will usually get in and out within ten minutes.
