Yesterday I ordered an Iced Green Tea Latte and I could totally taste the powder chunks.. I really had to shake it by myself for aaaaaaaaaaaawhile... And today a super cheerful and positive barista named Al took my order. His attitude just brightened my day. He even gave me a high-five to wish me a luck for tomorrow's calculus final exam. I ordered 2 drinks (which I saw the person input into the computer) and bought a pound of coffee this afternoon from this Starbucks. I waited 20 minutes for my drinks. I got one of them. I asked if the second one was coming and the barista told me yes. I waited another 10 minutes for my drink and asked again. Then he tells me he doesn't see my order and wanted to know what I ordered. He took the time to go to the register and reprint my receipt to show me that the person that took my order "must have deleted it" according to the barista (but couldn't do that the first time I asked...just told me my drink was coming). Then had the nerve to ask me if I wanted to go back to the register to reorder my drink. So my husband decided he didn't want to wait again for the drink and to make matters even worse is the espresso in my flat white tastes burnt and disgusting so I didn't even want to drink the drink I got. read more

This place has the worst customer service. I live right down the street which is why I continue to go, but regret it every time. I order ahead of time on my mobile app, and my order is never ready when I go, I even wait an extra 10-15 min to give it more time in hopes it will be ready. On top of that, you have to stand at the mobile pickup counter for 5 min before someone even acknowledges you, and it's usually not in a friendly manner but very rushed manner. Once I tell them the name for my order, they hand over the drink (if it's ready) without a word, no thank you, nothing. Today I had ordered a bagel with my order so when they gave me my drink I still stood there and had to wait another 5 min to let them know I had a bagel too. Got home, and there was no cream cheese in the bag at all. If they can just train their staff to have better manners, smile and be friendly, an "I'll be right with you" wouldn't hurt either, than this place could be great. read more

I am shocked to read all the bad reviews for this location. I had an amazing experience here, better than the ones I have had at most Starbucks! First off, the remodel is great!! It looks soo much better. Second, the staff was fantastic. I believe my baristas name was Al, and he was one of the friendliest baristas I have ever had. All Starbucks to me are the same. As are all big chains, there isn't much difference between stores except maybe cleanliness and the staff. So since there usually isn't anything different about the drinks or food, I'm basing my review on just the store itself. For a location near the university, there really should be more space. It should be known by default that if you place a big name coffee shop like Starbucks near a college campus, it'll always be bombarded with students desperately looking for a chill place to study. Unfortunately, this location isn't it. Most of the seating can be found outside, which isn't bad but not the best place to sit when it's chilly. This location is constantly busy and the way the store is set up it's not the most organized way to get people in and out. The seating indoors are all shoved up against the walls to make room for the consistent line that forms. I'm giving an extra star for the staff. The baristas and supervisors are really friendly and helpful, even when they seem understaffed. Shout out to Dwayne, the friendliest guy the have on the staff! read more

I've never had a problem with this Starbucks until today... I came in and ordered a grande iced caramel macchiato upside down. The drink was given to me and as someone who loves caramel I was confused when I didn't see any at the top of the drink like I usually do. I waited until the guy who made my drink was not busy and asked him for the carame drizzle on top. Then he replied with an irked look on his face explaining to me that since it was ordered upside down the caramel was on the bottom. I APOLOGIZED to him saying I didn't see it as he continued to drown the top of the drink with caramel (which I'm not complaining about)... But I felt bad for apparently being such a bother! For those of you who complain about waiting for coffee at 8am, think about where you are going. This Starbucks is at the Bermuda Triangle of the 57/91 interchange, CSUF, Western Law, the Optometry College and people who want to stop on the way to Fullerton College -- of course it is going to be busy. And the parking ... well, it does suck. For you oldtimers, remember when it was just two businesses in the parking lot (Baxter's & Coco's), and they carved 9 businesses out of that. Yep, it's bad. But the baristas here are almost universally friendly. I do brave that 8am rush 3-4 times a week, and it's not like they are standing around chatting. But if you are running late, don't blame them that you slept in and still expect that latte before you jump on the freeway. They are trying to get you out the door as much as you want to leave. The only issue I have is probably with their GM or District Manager --- why must you make it an obstacle course?! Trying to get in line, i have to swerve around the Verismo monolith, skirt past 4-5 random displays without knocking something off (Christmas season was fun), try not to bump into the baskets, and carve out a tiny space on the register counter to pay. Do you really need 15 items to sell at the counter? It is literally only 6 inches wide sometimes at the counter. And PLEASE put some sort of cap on the bottom of your chairs -- the repeated scrape of metal on the tile fries your brain. For the massive volume this location does every day, the staff is pretty nice. I hear them talk to repeat customers often, and for speed, I see a lot of people just walk up and they are already writing out their order. So breathe deep, enjoy the fact that a service person actually smiles at you, and enjoy your coffee. read more

I stoped by at this location, and while I was in line I've notice barista named AL greed every customer by name, he knew their orders and was extra friendly with everyone. He made me feel that grounding my coffee was the best thing that happened today. This little experience made my day. Every time I go by this location, I think, why don't I go in to this one more often. Then on the rare occasion I swing in, I remember...too late of course. It's a tiny location with extras crammed in. They have some work tables packed in up front. If you want a seat they have some along the walls as long as you don't mind being "in line" with people because you will be. The people in line bump you and it really isn't a "get your mind clear" spot if that is what you are looking for. It's a busy location being next to CalState Fullerton and on a bustling intersection. I might forgive all of this if the service had any speed to it. I'll stick to one of the other 5...yesh...starbucks around me. read more

This is my go-to Starbucks location when I'm studying on campus. It's so convenient that it's in the library - all I have to do is go downstairs when I'm in need of caffeine! The lines get pretty long during the day but usually dies down a bit in the late afternoon. I've never had to wait too long to get my drink. read more

No place to sit to work which was my intention so we left with our drinks to another Starbucks. But I did try the sunset menu strawberry limeade thing. Not recommended. This location brings me back on a weekly basis sometimes daily. The staff here are always friendly and ready to help out a future coffee/tea lover. The drinks are always consistent and the quality of service is always a 10. The barista Al is always in a great mood and welcomes every person that walks into the store. His upbeat mood and friendliness makes coming to this Starbucks location special every time. Other locations in the area don't meet the customer service that I receive here. Obviously the store manager here has a great eye on selecting the staff. Whether you like or don't like your drink let the barista know so they can make it right. I have never had an issue with my drink personally but I know this location will always go above and beyond to make the experience from the first and last sip worth it. Yes technically you can go to any other coffee shop in the area but why spend money on just coffee when you can walk out with a custom beverage to your liking and a great experience. This location is in a busy shopping center filled with great selection of eateries. Located close to Cal State Fullerton. Parking can be a bit limited since the lot is shared and many of the college students and locals come here to grab a drink and study. read more

This location needs to re-train their baristas or something because their work habits do not align with those of their other locations on and off campus. This was my third visit to this location and my last. I ordered an Iced Caramel Macchiato and it tasted like caramel water, as did my prior drinks. I will not be visiting this location again. I also overheard a barista telling another barista that even when a customer gets a free drink (like a free reward drink) any extra add ons are charged... I have never heard that before.
