This is the closest Starbucks near my house, so I frequent it often. The baristas here are pretty nice, with the exception of a few. There are two distinct seasons at this location. School season, and Off season. Many of the neighboring businesses have the same problem. Unfortunately the lot is super small which means it's always full with a line to get out of. However, when school is out, its a ghost town. The best part is that they are open until midnight, the only Starbucks I know of open that late. read more

The line is always long during the school year, however, there is no line during the summer. Last week, one of my friends wanted to drop off some paperwork at school and I decided to tag along. When we arrived, there was no line and the place empty. Which was perfect since I needed a table to study. During the school year, it is impossible to find a table, even the patio is crowded. The staffs are extremely friendly, even though they tended to get my orders wrong 1 out of 5. In my defend, my orders are always simple and easy to understand unlike other people. This is the preferred Starbucks for my coworkers and I. We are constantly ordering starbucks and for the most part, they are great. The ONE thing that happens super regularly and is very irritating is when we order a cold brew and add heavy cream, the heavy cream is consistently forgotten. It's hard for my driver to keep track because he's usually picking up several drinks, so he doesn't always catch it, but he shouldn't have to. The cold brew drink that I am always ordering for my boss has a few add-ins so I get that's it's a list of stuff, but that's the ONE thing they forget almost EVERY time. Other than that, it's a great starbucks and it seems like my driver doesn't usually have to wait for my mobile orders. I started going to this location more regularly over the summer and now it's my favorite stop on the way to and from campus! Even with the school crowd they get me out quickly, though I enjoy giving myself time to spare since they have seating again (I love sipping my drink on the patio in the morning). I now know most of the baristas by name but I have a couple faves; Frank is very sweet and Brennan with the curly hair is super friendly and helpful! He sure knows his coffee and everything that he's recommended I've ended up loving. Bravo! read more

Not sure about the negative reviews, but I can say, I visit Starbucks 1-2 times 7 days a week. This location at least for me, has been great in every regard. Warm smiles, proper tasting drinks, properly warmed up food and good caring staff that greets you by name with a smile. I think this is the best location by far, with Brea on Associated being second, this is for the the local area of course. out of the area, I have mixed reviews of various locations. Giving this place one star may be too much. I've ordered same drink 4 days in a row & each time it's tasted significantly different??? Service is slow, 1st day they gave me wrong size. The folks here are absolutely great. They greet everyone and make you feel welcomed. I stopped a Starbucks near my training facility and experienced the exact opposite. So I decided to drive a few extra miles to this location and I have been coming to this location every day. This is the last day of my training so back to work. The staff is very friendly, and when I do Mobil ordering it's normally ready when I go there. Sometimes can have a line but they are pretty quick. Not sure why there were negative reviews: there is no drive thru... so that person got it wrong. I visited this location on Saturday, August 10th. It was my first time at this specific location. I assumed that since they didn't have drive thru, that their speed would be pretty efficient, so I avoided using the pre order on the app. I worked at a Starbucks for two years, and I know what their standards are. This was easily the dirtiest Starbucks I've ever been in. Their condiment station was filthy and unstocked. The trash was coming out of a trash can, and the two trash drops built into that bar/condiment station. The floor looked like it hadn't been swept all day. When I went in there only appeared to be three people working, one person on the register, one barista making drinks, and someone doing something that wasn't clear. Obviously it wasn't cleaning. Terrible customer service...terrible. Methinks not indeed. I placed a breakfast order for about 15 a few days prior to when I needed it to make sure everything was ready. I chose this Starbucks since they were open early enough for me to grab breakfast and head over to the video shoot for work. When I get there, the doors are locked. There were already people working there so I knocked on the door. They looked at me and just continued working. I kept knocking but they ignored me. I finally had to call them and speak w/the manager. She came to open the door for me and I told her I had placed a large order earlier and was here to pick it up. W/a nasty attitude she told me no one came to open the store today. Ok... well what about my order? She just said sorry..and that was it.. um....yea.. so I was basically screwed.. and I had to feed 15 people at 5am.. what am I to do? Well don't ask the manager here cause she won't care. She said I should try another Starbucks. Gee , thanks . Thanks for royally screwing your customers over. It's not my fault no one came to open up your store. Thank goodness nearby Starbucks' are more responsible and have a much better idea of what good quality customer service is all about. This is the closest Starbucks to me, so I tend to stop in whether I want to or not - my feet have a mind of their own. If I had any control over them, it's likely I'd never walk into this particular Starbucks again. The product is fine, pretty standardized, but the service goes from ok to suck it pretty quickly. Once in a while, you get someone at the counter that seems pleasant enough, though I've never really received stellar service here, to be honest. Most of the time though, you're lucky if the person that takes your order is apathetic as opposed to a complete beast. I'll take apathy over bitchiness any day. Otherwise, the line moves pretty quickly, drinks usually come out quickly, and then I'm out the door before I get pissed off enough to ask to see the manager, so it seems to work out for all concerned lol. read more

Baristas, 5 stars thy were sweet and friendly. I came in to do some homework and there was no room. Two tables became available so we put the two tables together and a shift lead came and told us to get out of the way. We put the tables back and we stayed at one table. As people were leaving he comes back and moves one of our bags to the side and tells us "now you can move out of my walkway" First of all, if we're were blocking a safety hazard, I would understand and gladly move if he spoke to us properly. I did not like the way he spoke to us and the way he handled things. I came to up to speak to him and told him that it was not polite the way he handled the situation, and all he had to say was "well I told you to move out of my walkway". At the Starbucks where I work, a shift lead would never talk back. Simply apologize and explain politely what was the problem. If you do not want to lose more customers, hire people with better attitudes. read more

This is my first review. And frankly, i'm only writing this because of how horrible my experience was here. I was even further motivated when I read through past reviews to see similar complaints about the same person. This location tends to be busy, so I was waiting in a long line. It was around 2 or 3, so many high school kids were there ordering. Once it came time for me, a friendly barista waves me down to approach the register. Upon approaching, i'm yelled at by a different barista (who I was later told is a shift supervisor) named WES. "No not there, you are cutting! Get back over here!!" He yelled down at me as if I was a child. Apparently he was attempting to switch over to a system where you order at one register and pay at the next, yet his own employee was confused since she waved me over to her in the first place. Wes is completely rude and unapologetic about it. He has no respect for his customers, yet alone, other human beings, and is seemingly arrogant about his "status" at starbucks. This store is at an extremely convenient location for me, yet this condescending prick has ruined my desire to ever step foot in there again. read more

If you have the misfortune of being 'served' by him I feel very sorry for you. I am a regular here and has witnessed several times his distain for customers and for the people he works with. I am not certain of why he is so miserable but whatever the reason is he is pretty much a living, breathing incarnation of scrooge- except I am doubtful that his fellow employees would ever attempt to warn him from beyond the grave of how horrible he is. I always prefer this Starbucks over all the ones at CSUF (which are way too crowded and ridiculous to wait in). It can get busy with all the high school + college kids around afternoon but it's almost always a decent and quick line (excluding those wretched BOGO days). I've noticed all the male workers make it a goal to ask how my day is going or try to have a conversation, while all the girl workers don't really seem to care. I considered it to be a gender thing since I'm a girl, but it's the same for all my guy friends I've gone with here too. Other than the obvious long lines and wait times(because this is a Starbucks on a college campus.. What do you expect) my complaint is that I had to ask multiple times for someone to fix my order. I ordered two pastries and only got one. When I asked the worker who was making (and by making I mean heating up) the pastries to correct my order, he said that he would get right on it and bring it out to me. Waves of other pastry orders came out and I waited patiently for him making eye contact so that he would remember. He looked at me as well. When 9am rolled around his shift was finished so he was also done. He didn't bother to tell the shift after to make my pastry. I work in food service so I get that we all make mistakes sometimes. But NEVER do I make my customers ask more than ONCE for a mistake to be corrected. Learn something, pastry guy. read more

The Shift Leader by the name of Wes, was highly rude and disrespectful!!! When my friends and I first got there, we tried putting tables together because there is NO ROOM in that place and all the other tables were taken. So then he told us to move them back because other customers need a place to sit. Granted he was right, but the way he address the situation was unreasonable!! Even after we did what he said, with no problems he came around again and said that we were blocking the aisle way! Then he moved one of my friends bags and without asking. By right I could sue him, due to the fact that he touched my property without permission. This guy, WES, has no freaking respect for his customers, and is letting his Shift Leader position go to his head. I WILL NEVER COME BACK TO THE FREAKING PLACE, and this is BY FAR the worst treatment I've experienced from any Starbucks ever. PERSONAL SUGGESTION TO WES: Maybe you should think twice about how you treat your freaking customers. No one likes to be talked at in the manor that you talked to my friends and I. I just want you to know that your the reason that your store has lost customers. Your customer serious was unreasonable. You shouldn't be a "Shift Leader" if you don't know how to lead correctly!!
