I love to come to this Starbucks. This location is fairly large and I usually can find a place to sit when I come here. The baristas are also nice and patient compared to other locations I have been to. If the parking lot is full, it is really easy to find street parking as well. I usually never complain about service at Starbucks. I am very sympathetic to the hectic environment of coffee houses. However, today I was very disappointed with service at this new location. My friend and I each ordered a drink in two separate orders back-to-back. I had the new iced mocha coconut milk drink, she had a frappe. Mine came rather quickly as the place was dead (we were the only two that ordered for a span of three minutes). I was not offered or given a straw for my iced drink. The self service station had no straws. I politely stood at the end of the counter waiting for someone to come over so I could ask for a straw. Clearly I should have yelled at someone because no one paid attention to me. Finally someone acknowledged I was there and I politely (with a smile) asked for a straw. The guy's hands were wet from wringing out a wet cloth he used to wipe down the counter top. So my straw was wet from his hand. It grossed me out a bit, but I let it slide. If they don't have straws out, they should give you one instead of just leaving your drink at the counter. My major problem was with the poor service my friend encountered. Fifteen minutes after ordering and about ten minutes after I ordered the staff finally realized that her drink had been sitting on the counter. Two people had mobile orders and they were immediately acknowledged when they came in. Meanwhile we stood there patiently waiting to be called. The baristas talked what appeared to be regular customers and joked around without asking if we needed anything. We were basically ignored when clearly we were waiting. Several drinks were made for the drive thru and customers that came after us. Yet, we were not called. Finally one of the baristas noticed that a drink was ready and just waiting there. It took another three minutes before the guy calling out the orders just looked at us and slid the drink over. That is completely inexcusable service. If it had been a warm drink it would have been cold. They didn't even apologize or acknowledge their mistake. The barista just acted like it was no big deal. But it is. Fifteen to twenty minutes for a drink is not acceptable when there is no line and an order is not extremely complicated. There were four people working the counter and a fifth had just left duty. Someone should have seen it. A quick Starbucks trip turned into this bad experience. The smug and unfriendly attitude of these baristas really put me off. As a former stbx employee myself, I know what's supposed to be happening, and it ain't happening at this place. I've come here 4 times in the past week and half and every time, it's the same issue. Today, the barista forgot my drink and made the customer that ordered after me, 5 fraps. I waited 15-20 min before going up to the bar. I'm not sure who is in charge of ordering supplies for the running of this business but they always seem to be running out of drinks, and this is in the morning when they haven't even been open all day. I wish I could give this Starbucks zero stars. The days of "chill" Starbucks in Glendale ARE GONE! Just like the Starbucks in Sunland, service is horrible. I waited forever for a breakfast sandwich which was the wrong order. They were out of soy milk. Drink was filled too high and I burned my hand. It is LOUD inside. No one can hear you say, Excuse me. The workers are rushing around with headsets. No one is paying attention or giving any customer service to the counter. It's ALL about the drive through. If you are looking for normal-paced service like the old Glendale location, forget about it. Parking lot is horribly designed. Welcome to new McDonald's, people! Only redeemable thing about this location is that the bathroom is clean. So if you have to pee, stop in. But who knows how long the cleanliness will last. This Starbucks has a lot of potential, however, the floors and tables are always dirty. Customers bring their kids in like its a play center or daycare. The internet F***ing sucks. It took me 15 minutes to get connected and extremely slow. I had to use my iPhone's hot spot. I've been sitting here about 25 minutes now and still not one employee has cleaned a table or swept the floor.. Wow, this is one of the nicest and most spacious Starbucks location I have been to! Lots of room for seats, even a clean and shady patio area for those who want to sit outside. Lots and lots of parking too. Im really excited that this Starbucks opened for many reasons! It has a drive thru (the first one in this city) and it is so spacious with lots of outlets that I actually look forward to studying here in the future. Today seemed to be a pretty busy and hectic day for the staff, but they were so kind and greeted me with a friendly smile. I got my usual skinny vanilla latte here and the taste was consistent! Location, large patio and decor is great. Service was ridiculously bad. Recently moved store from another location but seemed there was no manager overseeing the chaos of mixed up food orders and terribly long wait for drinks. EVERYONE on the patio was complaining about not receiving their drinks after waiting 20-30 minutes, food (being heated) not being received (no names were taken on orders), entire group asked for refunds rather than waiting after 20 minutes-couple people left without getting a refund or their order. Not sure when Starbucks downsized food, but yogurt and other pastries are so small it isn't worth ordering. So.. if they get organized, still a great patio. read more

This review is for Taylor who assisted me at the drive thru last week. She went above and beyond to ensure I was completely satisfied with my experience. She knew exactly what I needed before I could even ask her for it. For example, I ordered a grande hot chocolate for my kids and when I got to the window, I asked her for a second cup. Without hesitation, she split the drink for me and handed me to. She knew I was going to split the drinks, but she just did it for me whereas any other employee would have just handed it me. I really love the location. The workers have always been great and while I feel like it was sort of an adjustment when they made the move, they do their best to accommodate you. The lines can be long so be aware if you go during any of their rush hours. The workers, make a effort to get to know you an your preference's especially when you go as much as I do. The place here is busy with many people and the vibe is great here. The baristas are always welcoming and kind to every guest. I just wish that they can fix some things around the shop. This includes fixing electrical plugs on the bench, prevent tables shacking cause it's not balanced, and keep a better maintenance on the sink in the restrooms. My local Starbucks is right down my street on Foothill and Willalaee. I love the new location, closer to my house and a new, modern, and clean look. But the work that the employees do is just terrible! Let me explain, I take the drive thru most of the time while I head to work or if I'm home and need some coffee. I mostly order ice drinks, and the same drinks such as a vanilla ice coffee with sweet cream, or an upside down caramel mocciodo. But every time I order the drinks they are handed to me in a mess. Coffee dripping from the sides, or the drinks are overfilled and tapped clean by the barista and handing to you all sticky and wet. Recently I wanted a caramel frappuccino on a hot day and again took the drive thru to get one. No one was at the drive thru so I ordered my drink and waited at the window for it. The barista made my drink and when handed to me, the drink was spilling out of the cup over my lap and in my car cup holder. The barista took the next oder on the headset not concerned on the situation and closed the window and walked away. My car was all filled with sticky caramel and the drink was non stop dripping all over my car. The frap left wet white spots on the car mats and sticky marks on the dashboard. No napkins were offered by the barista or a "sorry, let me make a new one" or a "sorry, let me get a new clean cup for you." That was only one of many of the many times of this same situation that happens at this same Starbucks. I am very disappointed on this situation. I try not to be one of those customers that holds up the line because I don't get the service all of us deserve or be that "mean" or "annoying customer" but I feel like it has come to that point to be that one customer after this situation! read more

This is a nice spacious Starbucks with a lot of seating good for studying and it's own parking lot so easy to find parking. It just gets a little busy during the morning rush but mostly the drive thru line gets long. However this is my first time here and it was fairly quiet. But after 10am you get groups of house wives that are pretty loud, which is fine cause my music helped drown out most of the noise. But all of a sudden the wifi stopped working while I was taking a timed test! I restarted my computer and checked my phone (it wasn't working on my phone either). I asked others around me. Another customer confirmed that the wifi wasn't working. That's fine. But when I went to the bar and spoke to a worker, she was very rude saying that it must be my phone and I should reset my phone. When I explained that is was my computer she said she didn't know. Then I went on to ask if she could get someone who could help me. She used her radio head set to say something but no one came to help at all. That worker just resumed working and avoided my stares. It's fine if the free wifi has issues but ignoring a customer is horrible. I'll probably give it another try and MIGHT update my review but we'll see. It's the first time I had issues with Starbucks wifi. Otherwise I would've given this business a better rating. read more
