When you ask for decaf and when you get home, drink it, then realize it wasn't! I always specify decaf twice because regular is too strong for me. I noticed it when I felt like my heart was racing.... looked at the label, and sure enough nothing about decaf on there. They even repeated the order back saying decaf. Waste of a drink. I don't get the bad reviews for this place! I have gone to Starbucks in plenty of other areas, and this is BY FAR my favorite one! There's a lot of seating, parking is good, and it's tends to be pretty clean :) The service is always super friendly (shout out to Celine, who can make your day just while taking your order!) and as fast as can be, given the demand. There are a lot of mentions of slow service, especially in the drive thru, and I don't get why this is such a gripe- if there are a lot of people, and a lot of cars in the drive thru, you can't expect to get your drink ASAP. But I do think that all of the people who come to this location speaks to how awesome it is, and well the drinks are prepared, compared to other Starbucks! read more

I got the pumpkin cold brew and after seeing the foam made with regular foam I asked to for her to remake it ( I believe it was the shift lead ) she tried arguing with me about how she made it correctly and after asking her to remake it.. she slid the drink across the table. Wow! Terrible customer service. I ordered a box of coffee for a birthday party I was going to. After making me wait a half hour they told me they couldn't give it to me because the manager wasn't picking up their phone call and they didn't know how to charge me for it. What was even more ridiculous was that they had made the coffee and had packaged it but wouldn't sell it to me. I never write Yelp reviews but I really felt like this Starbucks deserves a little bit of hyping. I'm a Starbucks Partner myself and live an hour away from La Crescenta. I drive here usually on the weekends to visit someone every week and on my way stop here. The drive-thru is always INCREDIBLY fast and the staff is always very friendly and sweet. This used to be my favorite location to go to because it was closer to my house than any other location. When I would go through drive-thru I would have no problems, the people taking orders were usually friendly. However, there's one manager who takes orders now from time to time and she can be very condescending and sarcastic at times. I always try being nice to people who work in food or in this case making drinks because I get it can't be easy when it's busy all day every day. However, this manager doesn't need to give attitude all the time, no "Hi" or "how are you?" not even a "thank you" is said. I don't know why she's even taking orders in the drive-thru like that. Then don't get me started with ordering ahead at this location. They either make it super fast or super late. At times when I get there, my drinks are already half melted and they see me but don't even ask me what I ordered until I FINALLY get a barista's attention. Other times, I'm waiting there for a good 10 minutes. I'm pretty over the customer experience at this location, which is why sometimes I'll suck it up and drive further to another location. They also mess up drinks and then make it seem like a huge inconvenience to them when you ask them to make the drink you originally asked for. This is completely unacceptable. I did not pay almost $5 for a drink I didn't ask for. ALSO, the staff are ALWAYS talking among each other which is probably why they never get the orders correct. This is one my favorite locations. The workers are all mostly very friendly and always remember us and initiate conversations. They have a drive thru which is a big plus when your on the go. Many times they would even give free coffee to me saying it was accidentally made by error so they didn't want to throw it away. Here's something to think about when committing your crime- it's one at a time (i.e. someone is waiting!). Clean enough to do the business but not in the least bit relaxing with the door handle being jingled. 3.5 2. Washing up & Supplies: Plenty of TP and seat covers. Soap was full. Their hand air dryer which is cool and affective but no paper towels. 3.0 3. Ambience & Changing tables & practicality: They have a changing table for the young ones. The restroom is large enough you could easily take the baby stroller in with you if needed. M biggest concern is the door that needs to be unlocked and then opened with no paper towels to use. You get your hands nice and clean and then have to touch the door handle trusting the last smell leaving dude washed his hands. No thanks grab some napkins before hand. 1.0 4. Location- ins & outs: Parking is easy and the restroom is in the front and you can easily slip in and not have to buy something if you so choose. The code is on the door??? what sense does that make? Since having a code on the door would only stop a moron from using the bathroom is Starbucks discriminating against dumb people? The only consistent thing about this Starbucks is that they always forget the lemonade in my peach citrus white tea lemonade and they never, and I mean NEVER, shake your shaken iced teas/refreshers unless you specifically request them to. I used to go to a number of different locations in Contra Costa County and I never experienced this lack of consistency in getting my drink. It tastes different every single time. What an exciting morning it was for me. I had my daughter in the car with me and we decided to drive thru to place an order this seems like an easy no big deal convenient thing for most people but for me being hearing impaired and mainly lip read I only go through drive throughs if someone else is in the car to help listen when placing an order. Imagine my surprise to see a huge screen and a live person facing me when we were placing our order I didn't get his name but he was patient and easy to understand we then proceeded to the window to pay and I shared my excitement about this drive thru service. Update: Now that they have been open awhile it seems that they have gotten organized and are now running much more efficiently. It's a starbucks so I don't really need to comment of offerings. The only reason dinged the one star is parking. While there are plenty of spaces, during rush hours if you park in the back of lot you may get blocked in by drive through. While the drivers that refuse to let you out is not the fault of starbucks, it is more just a representation of the lot design. I like what they did with the old burger king space, but they seem very disorganized and not equipped to handle the load from a drive through and walk up orders. Long line and when finally make it up to front they tell me no cold brew which is the huge poster I have staring at for 10 minutes. No apology, just a don't have it. Somewhat annoyed. I know they are new. I'll update review when and if it streamlines and kinks worked out. Parking warning. Even though there is a large parking lot for a Starbucks, be warned if you park at the back of lot (it is always full at rush hours) you may get trapped by the long drive through lines. No I take that back. You will get trapped. The slow service at the windows and counters also ensures you will be stuck for a time. read more

A very chill place but beware - this place maintains a very cold temperature all year round and Wi-Fi goes very slow from time to time. Other than that, the staff is very friendly, on-site parking is spacious and seating are varying from sofas to work station high chairs. I've gone to this Starbucks while driving in the area my ENTIRE life. Each time I've been, I have a bad experience. Whether it's the rude staff that never seems to change or an order being wrong, then being told I'm wrong even though I know what I get every time. This time I went was insane, extremely rude barista telling me I was ordering my drinks "wrong" and I had to speak up every time I said something. Finally, when we got to the window, the supervisor came up to ask us why he heard yelling, as if we are children in a loud classroom and as if WE were the ones in trouble when his barista was being extremely rude and unhelpful. I've probably held my tongue for too long now. I only write this review in hopes that this particular Starbucks Management reads up on customer feedback because I feel a tighter ship needs to be run, and these problems may be more of a management issue and lack of leadership. I've come here about 12-15 times since this location opened. I can think of maybe 3 pleasant experiences. I thought my first few visits when this location opened was just them trying to figure it out. After a while now, today was the last straw for being consistently inconsistent. My previous visits have included: - very long waits, 10-15 mins on average and one at almost 20 mins - drinks that were incorrectly made - cold breakfast sandwiches - confusion from staff that don't know their own products - poor assignment of duties/tasks to their employees - and on, and on Today though, I ordered a bagel, a breakfast sandwich, and a grande Pike. There was about 7-8 people working inside and I still ended up waiting 15 mins for two breakfast items. One staff member asked what I ordered, he went to check and came back and wrote them on bags as if the order had never even been received. Then, went back to the person handling breakfast and said "when you get the chance". Sure, trying to be nice to his co-worker, but at that point, it should be "I need these next please." I canceled them after that because I assumed they weren't even in line to be made and got my refund for them. Only to find they finally had them ready, as i got the refund, but I didn't want them at that point anyways just due to continuous frustrations. Positives: - Grande Pike order was correct - Staff is friendly and energetic (aside from inexperience and long waits) I won't be back. I avoid this place at all cost. The Starbucks in Sunland-Tujunga down Foothill has not messed up once and drive-thru takes 10 mins or less when the line is at its longest out of 75+ visits. PLEASE, learn a thing or two from them. (Yes, I would go there but it's the complete opposite direction of where I need to go most of the time). read more

First things first, IM SO EXCITED THERE IS A DRIVE THRU STARBUCKS IN LA CRESCENTA! The very first time I came to this location, I was blown away with the customer service. They were so nice! And almost every time I've gone since then, the employees have been super nice and seem like they actually enjoy serving you (of course, they could be really good actors, and fooling me, but i don't care tbh). I'm giving it 4 stars only because sometimes the drinks are really good, and other times they didn't taste the best. And of course they sometimes are running slowly. But come on, if it's busy in the drive thru AND inside, what else do you expect!? Though, I have not been able to find the sweet time where the drive thru is nice and clear, but this place is new, so it makes sense. This is the worst Stabucks even when they are obviously wrong with no apology to make me wait for 10+ minutes to find out my online ordered sandwich is not available. I need to find out by asking the guy who prepares sandwiches in a very unprofessional way (stacking whole bunch on top of the oven and some fell off during my 10 min of observations) and a poor manner to start with. I get much better service at any nearby McDonalds, Jack in the box or Burger King or local pastry shops. This was my last time I will ever visit Starbucks again. read more
