What an awful parking lot/drive thru area. A morning order can easily take 15 minutes. Some people park and go in then they can't back out because of the way the lot is set up and over crowded. They really need to do something about their drive thru, which is always WAY TOO SLOW. I feel like it always takes 10 minutes or longer to get through their drive thru. Store itself seems messy compared to other Starbucks locations, although baristas are nice people. Often had problems connecting to their wireless as well. Overall, not the best Starbucks in the area (to say the least). Very long line at 7 am in the morning. 15+ min wait, but it's on the way and it's convenient. I always get the ham artisan breakfast sandwich and iced Americano, which turns out to be about 6-7 bucks every morning. After waiting in the drive-thru for 12 minutes and with only 1 car in front of me, I finally arrived to the window to pay only for the cashier to tell me they don't accept anything over a twenty! This Starbucks. Oh lawd. I've been coming to this locations for years now, and beginning a few months ago something has been off. I don't know what is up with their baristas and trainers, but the drinks are always watered down! Even after asking for a new one (which I really hate to be that person but I paid for a coffee drink not coffee flavored water). Not only that but there is one worker at the drive through that always sounds like he hates his job and it's a "what would you like to order....ok pull up to the window" deal...what kind of...? 1 Don't come here if you're on a time crunch. As in, have to be down the street within the next 30 minutes. It ain't happening here. 2. Super irritated and I'm not even hard to please at a damn Starbucks. So I went through drive thru around lunch (11:40ish) to get myself some coffee to get me through the rest of my day. It LITERALLY took an entire 20-25 minutes to get through and I was like the 4th or 5th car in line. I've been to my fair share of Starbucks/drive thrus and this was probably my worst experience ever. Some cars were served much quicker than others and I cannot understand why. When I pulled up, my drink was NOT even made yet and with prior experience with drive thrus, YOU FOCUS ON THE DRIVE THRU because those people are generally on a time limit (if not too lazy). However, this was not even my biggest concern... My biggest concern was that they didn't even make my drink right. Not ONLY was it not even started on when I got to the drive thru, but I watched as they made it. Even though it was my first time trying this drink, I'm definitely sure it was NOT made correctly after the many reviews I have read as well as the recipe. I ordered the Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew and I anticipated it being slightly less sweet and stronger but it was SUPER BITTER. I thought maybe this is how it's supposed to taste so I decided to reread some reviews and it looked NOTHING like how it was supposed to and they obviously did not add any condensed milk or vanilla cream. I saw the girl pick up some milk to pour it in and I had already left back for work as I took a sip and was HIGHLY disappointed. DEFINITELY DO NOT recommend this place for anyone, especially if you're in a rush. I don't mind if I have to wait some time but if you can't even get my order made correctly (and it's just one drink) it's kind of annoying. The thing that bothers me the most about the Starbucks is the inconsistency. It seems like every time I come there's a new issue, whether it be the line that is wrapping around or the lack of service, or simply the lack of desire to prioritize the customer. Don't even think about ordering anything before hand because they have it all marked off like all the options are not available. Which Truly defeats the purpose of mobile ordering. They've taken away the meaning of convenience when it comes to Starbucks and I've honestly seen people leave the Starbucks line and go down the street to Dunkin' Donuts. Now if you know coffee or caffeine in general, you'll usually prefer a Starbucks over at Dunkin but at this point the service is so awful that people are just going for what's around it. The service is slow, the mobile ordering doesn't work, when you call they don't answer, some days they have the inside open other days they have it closed but the part that's most disappointing at the Starbucks is not any of those things that I just listed but the fact that they have no people skills and lack customer service. And example of this would be one time I came in, and usually the customer is a priority but sometimes you get busy, and I understand that. But this is a Starbucks and not your local bar where you just yell at each other for items or lack of supplies. Yelling across Venti cups 5 times loud and getting snarky about it at the end With one of your own team members, you just have to do better than that. I'm only speaking from experience because I used to be a Starbucks employee and I know that it can be stressful but you have to be aware of your surroundings. read more

Filthy and rude. The only reason this place stays busy is because of its location. They tried to charge me for a reward drink. Telling me that they knew what they were doing, and that they had no control over the fee. Not five minutes later, I went to another Starbucks on Holcombe and Stella Link. I was not charged the extra fee. so, obviously they don't know what they're doing at this location. 5 Stars for service! The staff was cheerful, smiling and greeted me as I walked in (it even seemed a little genuine!). We told them that we literally could not park anywhere else but the handicap space because of a huge 18 wheeler blocking all of their parking and they just smiled and said "It's fine, just watch for the cops and park in a different spot when you can". I know this doesn't sound like a big deal but they just felt truly understanding. My Iced Chai Latte tasted like it was supposed to be and it came out quickly. Try this place. The line is killer but that is the fun part. You get to check on emails and text people to annoy the hell out of them early in the morning. I see a lot of people at this location and yes parking can be difficult since the drive thru typically wraps around the street. If your not coffee buff go for the oatmeal. Tried ordering a secrete menu Purple Drink and it was awful. The barista had no idea what I was ordering, so I had to list the ingredients and it tasted horrible. This particular Starbucks is one of the busier location so it took about 13mins to make it through the drive up. I've been here more than a few times and would say in comparison to some other Starbucks that I frequent, this one is meh. The morning crew is usually great! Especially when you have a mobile order...but order at any other time and they seem to have no sense of urgency. This location is a bit on the small side, so if you're coming to sit/study/meet, etc keep that in mind. And it's very unfortunate that the parking lot is just as small--always creates issues with those trying to park and those trying to wait in the drive-thru. read more

It took me 30 minutes from the time I pulled into the parking lot of the South Main Starbucks until I finally got back out on the street. I had one drink order, a venti (what should've been iced, but wasn't, the order wasn't read back to me or else I would have caught it there) vanilla latte due to poor staffing (NOT poor staff -- the three people there at the time were moving as fast as they could), poor parking and poor placement of this Starbucks. Every now and then, I'll go to this Starbucks and get the wrong drink or have a wait, but never both at the same time. I haven't seen it this bad anywhere else -- I've been to my share of Starbucks and have been a gold member since 2010. Since this location is still this bad, I doubt anyone has taken the time to notice the Yelp reviews or the Google reviews on this location, let alone even attempt to fix it by hiring more staff, or just buying the empty lot next door to increase parking. It's extremely disappointing that this Starbucks seems to be raking in the money, but not really doing much to improve the hit and miss service. I happily drive 5 miles out of my way now to go to other Starbucks with better service and consistency, just to avoid the stress of this one. read more

Between bad customer service that is slow and running out of everything or just making it wrong, I have never had a completly positive experience here. They lost my order once and when I asked about it, the kid behind the counter said he wasnt doing cold drinks and went back to ignoring me. That was a month ago.
