Starbucks never ceases to amaze me. This particular store is hit and miss, mostly miss. Store had lots of little crumbs and trash on floor and the staff doesn't seem to know how to make drinks properly. Time for Starbucks to retrain their crew on how to make drinks. read more

I conduct a lot of business meetings at coffee shops and whenever someone says "let's meet up" and I ask them "where?" The answer is always Starbucks. Can't these people be a little more original and think of other places to go? But alas when some people think coffee, they think Starbucks. Go figure. When I think of coffee, I think of something other than Starbucks but that's just me. I have to please the masses and the masses want Starbucks and the masses all congregate to this location. It's not the greatest location. Most Starbucks outdo themselves in terms of location, atmosphere, and decor. This one is tucked away behind the Del Taco in the Stater Bros shopping center. It's hard to give directions to this place unless you're coming down El Toro from the 5 and even then you won't see it until you're getting ready to pass it. I don't really get the drinks here and if I do, I opt for the signature hot chocolate and most recently, I've gotten the Strawberry Banana Vivanno which was served surprisingly lukewarm. It was very dense and chalky and when I took it up to the counter to inquire about the lukewarm dense taste I was told that I need to ask for it to be extra cold and without fiber powder. Huh? Someone please enlighten me. It's a smoothie! It's supposed to be cold! Not lukewarm! And apparently, you need to notify them about extra hot coffee too because that can be served lukewarm too. Wow, what a waste. Just a little tidbit I didn't want to have to remember but I guess I will for now. I'm still searching for drink replacements to make myself happy here. read more

I would give this place a 5 review IF i were rating the gentlemen who work here!! They ROCK!! BUT as it is, the past few visits I seem to get the D squad and these specific 2 gals who need to find a new job that does not require CUSTOMER SERVICE! We as customers are spending a good amount of $$ for a hand crafted beverage! So when I mobile order for convenience, it should at the very least come with a positive attitude. I get that people have many different things going on in life but when I train people as a customer service manager, I tell them to leave their private life at the door! The past 3 times I have come to spend money here and get my favorite drink, these girls do not either know how to read or are that thoughtless that they always make my drink wrong.. Whats the point of ordering ahead and checking all the boxes and especially paying an extra $0.50 for extra topping when they disregard it and then when you ask them, you get nothing but attitude and an eye roll while they asked if you want them to remake your drink LOL.. No silly girl, I want YOU to do it right the 1st time. If it happened once in awhile it wouldnt be such an issue BUT its EVERY single time so 1 and I would recommend a different store for anyone looking to have your drink order come out the right way and at least get a thank you for your business.. One of my favorite local stops for java in the morning; a good-humored and efficient crew that give the store its neighborly feel... They're fast and always considerate, and they make it a point to welcome back occasional customers (at least in my case). They may not know it, but I find their Pike Place roast to be stronger than some other stores, which is why I stop at this location more frequently... Perhaps it's their machine? Still, I love it. It's a small but comfy store located right off of Montcliff Dr and the El Toro Rd sidewalk, which makes it perfect for those who are hoofing it... Parking is sort of cluttered but there's usually a spot if you look around. The store is located in an accommodating restaurant complex and it always serves as a quick and easy stop for coffee, donuts, or whatever suits my fancy. read more

I frequently visit this Starbucks because it's near my house and it's convenient. The drinks unfortunately are not consistent and the service is really hit or miss depending on who is working. I stopped in today with my boyfriend to pick up our mobile order. There were only 3 customers in the store who had been helped and two employees working. No one said hi or acknowledged us. After waiting several minutes we had to ask for our drinks which were the only mobile drinks there. The drinks were ok. Definitely considering using a different location going forward. read more

Not typically a complainer- but.... Coffee is consistently cold. We live by this branch and try try try... Wife has spoken to manager about the cold coffee and all we get over the last year or more is ... the machine is broken and they tell me a new one is coming.... Same old story. Also they do not provide stoppers when needed- saying they are out. In comparison we do not have these same issues at other branches. I think management needs to improve or quality control needs to pay attention to fix these issues. Not sure. Also overall SB has gone down hill in service as compared to pre pandemic- I feel taken advantaged of... Cost cutting measures are ridiculous- they pour cream and skimp and never get it right while others let us pour our own cream, no stoppers etc.... All of these things saves them alot of money while we consumers pay full price with price hikes etc... I want to love SB but it is becoming more of an issue.... Poor customer service. More than a few times now I've had to wait an extremely long time for a mobile order. Today I walked out without a complete order. I have to go to work and I don't have the time to stand waiting 20+ minutes for a mobile phone order. Green iced tea, that's all. Then, a constant shout to those getting too close to the CVD shield "STAND BACK"... and I get to read the t-shirt of the worker bees touting their beliefs. How is it that you think your customers are on the same page as you? It's a big turn off. Starbucks should be neutral. Even tho this is around the corner from my house I won't be going back. There are two review addresses for this same location so they need to be combined Yelp. I go to a lot of Starbucks and this was by far one of the most disappointing. The furniture is dirty and need of repair, they are understaffed for the morning rush and no one seems happy that works there. Baristas do not make my drinks the same as other Starbucks season that is a problem. Won't go back to this one anytime soon. read more

This particular Starbucks is located in the same plaza as the Stater Bros. It is close to the Del Taco. The staff was nice here when I decided what I wanted. It came out rather quickly, although with a mobile order in between some of them. I wanted to try the curbside pickup through the app and I had a really nice experience at this location previously with Kota. I don't know the name of the employee I dealt with, I couldn't read his name tag. Started with an N. I ordered an iced vanilla latte with whip. The boy working brought it out hot. I let him know I ordered it iced, not hot. He seemed annoyed but still apologized and said he'd fix it. He came out almost instantly with what looked like an iced latte, at least in a clear cup with maybe a few ice cubes in it and the cup was already sweating, but no whip; which leads me to think he just poured the hot latte over some ice cubes which would actually water down the whole latte from the hot hot latte melting all that ice. So I reminded him that I ordered it with whipped cream, and he argued that the order didn't say that, but he'd put whip on it for me anyway. So I pulled my order up on my phone to show him, and sure enough, it said to add whipped cream to the drink. I asked why the drink felt warm and why there wasn't much ice in it, and told him I've never had an iced latte like that. He said the ice machine was broken and could only get out the last few cubes. I asked him to remake the whole drink because pouring a hot latte over ice is just going to water down the entire drink and that's not what I'm paying for. At this point he seemed really frustrated and stormed back inside. If you're gonna try to pull one over on me at least own it. From here I went inside to see if he'd actually remake the drink and not just put more ice in an already watered down latte. When I walked in he was complaining to the other girl working that I asked him to remake the drink. They remade it, and there was plenty of ice in the new drink. So I asked the boy how they were able to fix the ice machine so fast, then he said it wasn't broken it was just low on ice. Real cute. I spend more money than I should on Starbucks, but I refuse to pay for experiences like this. Considering the time we're in, that boy should be thanking his lucky stars he has a job. I know plenty of people looking for work who would be happy to take coffee orders all day. The latte still tasted awful. Won't be coming back read more

It's so disappointing that the staff here used to be great, when you ask for no ice or light ice you'd expect no ice or light ice. I went in for a venti coffee with light ice, I asked the girl that's prepared my drink if she could do it with no light ice. Instead of remaking it she takes out the ice and puts about 1/2 more milk into my coffee. Not to be rude but what the helk, it's a coffee. So I ask her to remake it she gives me my drink in the Venti cup which I purchased BUT she leaves it half way, I asked her why it's half way and she said that's Starbucks policy. So if you buy a grande expect a tall sized coffee and if you buy a venti expect a grande sized drink in your cup. Not only was she being rude but she was yelling at me while everyone in the Starbucks looked to see what was happening. I am saddened that this Starbucks has gone down the drain. Walked in this morning and there was not line, but it was obvious they were focused on filling a lot of phone in or app orders. There were 8 people running around the counter, and here I was, a simple walk-in ordering 2 cups of coffee and a sandwich that needed to be warmed up. They took my order, then delivered the coffees fairly quickly - in about 5 minutes. But i had to WAIT another 15 minutes for a simple sandwich that only required warmup and hand over to me. I think they lost track of my order. I reminded them several times I was still waiting, but they seemed annoyed. Finally, I got my sandwich after complaining several times. It seemed like they just didn't care. I am not doing business with this Starbucks any more - I plan to visit the Coffee Bean just up the street from now on. read more

It was Thanksgiving morning when my kids and I came here. This location is around the corner from my home so its convenient. It was rather busy, definiatly not a concern, I have no issue with waiting for our drinks. They were made right, I never got a bad attitude from the staff, they were pleasant. We come here because it's where the canyon road spills out. Once for a bathroom stop. Twice for coffee and cake. Other than it being at the mouth of Santiago Canyon, we have no reason to come. Employees are hit or miss in terms of either serving you or hating you for some arbitrary reason. Orders are generally accurate. Bathroom is filthy. Seating inside is plentiful though cramped. What happened with what Starbucks used to be? This one is coffee with an attitude, just the wrong one... I once read about Starbucks' third place philosophy, where after home and office this would be the place to be. First time I got "unrequestedly" lectured about my coffee I thought " this is just a hiccup, next time it should be back to normal". Second and third time I had a similarly unpleasant treatment I thought maybe 4th place is not that bad. This is my local Starbucks and I go pretty much every day. Someone wrote that drinks here are hit and miss, as a regular I have to agree. I can tell when the "seasoned" staff makes my drink or someone new. My husband and I order the same coffees every time and we recently have had to take some back. The staff is very good about it and never argues. They remake it with a friendly smile. I have had eye rolls from one of the employees about my drink bc she thinks it's complicated. To that I roll my eyes because she has worked at this store for quite awhile. She can be rather short and grumpy with customers. She didn't know I heard her mumbling and carrying on about my drink. I just laughed to myself. She is otherwise very friendly so I didn't it personally. I have to remember these employees have to deal with loads of crap everyday. They don't get paid enough for you to get upset with them, that being said I am spending loads on a coffee so I do expect to receive what I ordered. The staff here is very friendly, accommodating and upbeat. They try really hard to remember names and people's drinks. I give the staff credit. I do think everyone should learn to make the drinks the same however. It's not fun to return because your drink isn't correct. read more

The staff here is very friendly. There have been maybe two staff members who have been a little less than cheerful and I am willing to chock it up to a rough morning. Pretty much every barista makes a concerted effort to remember my regular drink.. and my name. Having worked at Starbucks before, I can tell you it's somewhat part of your job to remember people's names, but it's not an easy thing to do. Imagine how many people you see every day of your working life there! Add in their usual drink, etc, and I'd say it's a marketable skill! Of all the Starbucks I have been to, this one consistently gets my drink to taste good. I generally have a weird order: Tall Americano, half water - half steamed soy, 3 pumps mocha, 3 pumps hazelnut. Every once in a while it's not perfect, but I am a forgiving person. ;P Even when the lines are long, the staff manages to remain friendly and efficient and not let it frazzle them. I have seen other stores where baristas start getting surly after a while. I know I never wanted to work the early morning shift because I would not have been able to handle those morning people who require coffee to become human. The store is clean and has usually enough tables for people to sit outside or inside even when it's busy. It's in a convenient location with a Del Taco and a State Bros, along with various and sundry other eateries and such. Also, they really hold up a standard of quality. If you are not 100% satisfied with your food or drink order, they make it again for you, no questions asked. And if for some reason it's just not coming out right, they have given a free drink voucher or something. It's nice to know they are so willing to keep us happy! read more

This is such a nice location and neighborhood spot, it pains me to leave less than satisfied review. Everybody has a bad day, but this spot really needs to up their game. A friend came here yesterday and returned with her drink leaking all over due to it being made too quickly, and they forgot to add her extra caramel. I came in later the afternoon, my drink was also made incorrectly. They were a little rude. Out of napkins, customers were restocking napkins and sugar themselves from under the counter. Came in this morning with not one customer in line, thinking I would have great luck today. Wrong. Ahh! Wow what a bad experience by far the worst experience at Starbucks I've had 1. When i ordered i asked for the sausage sandwich the barista said they ran out so i ordered the wrap instead then after i paid, i heard the customer behind me order the same sausage sandwich to a different barista and they said coming right up.... oh so now you have sausage sandwich?? 2. They took forever to get our drink order 3. Our drink order was wrong when we asked for them to remake it, it took twice as long and they gave it to us as a tall when we returned it was a venti (how you go from a venti to a tall i don't know) 4. We ordered 2 spinach wraps they gave us only one when we told them we ordered 2 they gave us another one but it was ice cold they didn't even bother to heat it up!! I live right next to this starbucks. So it is always super convenient using the mobile app and just picking it right up in the morning before work. I really have to say Thank You to AUDRI!. She is always so nice when i go in and remembers customers. I was in a rush one morning and ordered off a wrong starbucks. I came into this Starbucks earlier tonight, probably around 7pm (Friday, October 12th), and the baristas working at that time were beyond incredible at their jobs. The male barista at the register was attentive and listened to a minor problem I had, and turned the situation into one I left happy and satisfied with. The female on the bar (making drinks) was so extremely kind and seemed to enjoy and take pride in preparing the Chai tea lattes I was bringing home to my family. As a previous barista, who also happened to have worked at a couple of Starbucks' for a bit, and actually worked at this location in 2014 (lol), I definitely understand the company's vision and model of exceptional customer service and people, this was it. Oh god they ruined this place with the remodel! What was a warm, inviting hub of the community now feels like a crowded subway platform. When you arrive you run straight into the crowd of people waiting for their drinks (the counter is literally RIGHT THERE AT THE DOOR), you have to navigate your way around the new high tables in the middle to reach the very back of the store to order, the ever-popular pair of comfy chairs is gone, the decor is lifeless... only bright spot is the new outdoor furniture: greater number of smaller tables will help and the chairs are okay. I watched people enter and try to line up behind the crowd waiting for drinks because with everyone right in the doorway you can't readily tell you're in the wrong spot, nor easily get past them. What this place really needed was an awning over the outdoor area and more over the street-side windows. read more

I love coffee and enjoy an extra hot cup every day. I walk to this location with my kids every week and my husband joins us on the weekends. Half the staff knows me and my 3 girl and are extremely friendly! My only request would be for this location to add an extra table outside - seems like more and more often my daughter and I can find a chair or two but no empty tables. read more

Bummed about my experience here today. I come here every single morning. Usually it's a lack luster experience, nothing extraordinary but also nothing worth complaining about. However, today, I walk in to pick up my mobile order and there were no customers. The barista was just standing there, doing nothing. I politely asked for a bag and a large ice water. I even said WHEN YOU HAVE A CHANCE. The barista sighed. Actually sighed. First of all, maybe I wouldn't have to ask you for a bag if you had just put my THREE FOOD ITEMS in a bag in the first place?? Second, customer service is your job. She did not say ONE word to me, even after she sighed at me and I still smiled and said "have a nice day!". Not. One. Word.
