This Foodland Pukalani Starbucks is my go-to location. I love that I can conveniently pick up a beverage before/after I shop or head to town. The baristas here are personable and hard working in this fast paced environment. I appreciate when they recite my order back to me to ensure they have the correct beverage(s). This location does not currently offer dine-in due to the pandemic, however mobile ordering and take out are available. Touch less pay is available through the Starbucks app! Ahhhh the first cup of my day always starts with a cup from here. The flesh Venti Americano with room is the ultimate pick me up and I always need it. I venture to this location for it fresh Java in the wee hours of before dawn and the morning view of Palm tree's , volcano or ocean while sucking up the smell fresh ocean breeze through my nostrils while lounging on outside deck. Can you think of anything better then you hot cup of joe in the morning? Morning treats are always fresh & available to go with your Java so grab something. The drinks are great but the service there is not. Everyone that works there is amazing and very nice except for one of the ladies. She has short hair and a comb over and she is never in a good mood. Always gives us a hard time about adding Thai walls to a drink even though we pay and leave a tip. She just always has a terrible attitude and reflects it on the customers. Not only is seating extremely limited (only 5 tables) but every time I have come one of the tables has been occupied by a staff member on break. Stopped off here on the way to the Haleakalā crater. We were in desperate need of coffee and stopped in this town as it was the last chance before the big ascent. Usual deal: no other coffee options evident other than Starbucks which was doing a steady trade. My good friend 50c said his coffee here was the best he'd ever had from Starbucks. This happened quite by chance. He mistakenly picked up someone else's coffee, a four shot Expresso. He knows his coffee 50c. He said it was good. Usually one of my favorite locations to grab my coffee - today was out of the ordinary, but may drive me to getting my regular coffee closer to work. Cashier (name tag smudged) (0stars) was unnecessarily rude. Gave my order (two simple menu drinks) - she puts in one, doesn't enter the other or acknowledge it, then asks if I want anything else. Glad the barista was her saving grace (4 stars) - drinks were out quick and perfectly done. If management reads this - it was about 150pm on Sunday, February 09 - quick recap on customer service quality assurance needed for her. A regular customer with one drink minimum per day ($6-&7) each, seven days a week...adds up for a single location. Might not feel it in the pocketbook on your end as a loss - but another location will gain it in sales as well as the gift cards, guests I bring in and word of mouth traffic referrals. read more

What makes the situation even more frustrating to me, is that they are adjacent to Foodland, where one would suppose they could go buy a carton when in need, but their corporate policy doesn't allow! I may not be the best person to review this place as I hate coffee. But I love tea and am addicted to their chai latte I even get them with soy or almond milk sometimes. It is sweet and I have a sweet tooth. My husband loves coffee and gets coffee from them hot or cold. They have a huge selection of drinks mostly coffee. The place always smell real strongly of coffee. They also have some food or snacks you can buy along with your drink. The staff here is friendly and nice. The service is always nice and probably the first place that consistently gets my shaken ice green tea lemondae the way I like it! I've been going to this Starbucks for a while now. This time, I had to do a review. I used their app to make my order. It was supposed to be a hot coffee, but somehow they made it an iced coffee. I rechecked my order on my phone, and it was my usual order. I also ordered the lemon loaf cake and one side was hard like it was left out for way too long. For the money I put out, they really need to step up with their consistency. There are only a few individuals that work there that are consistent; and I will only order when those individuals are working. read more

The only reason I am giving 4 stars instead of five is because there is one lady that works here that is not friendly, doesn't write my drink order correctly on the cups (but she definitely charges $$ me right, if not more) and makes my experience uncomfortable. The men who work here: Great! The rest of the girls: Great! Everyone except that one girl always makes friendly conversations, smile genuinely (not smirk like the one employee) and most of the time remember my drink so I rarely ever have to even say my order. Most of the time they even greet me when I get in line before I'm even up to order. BY FAR the best Starbucks on island. I come here often since I live nearby. My drink is always delicious, their pastry case is always stocked, and the baristas are awesome and friendly. I can make small talk with them and not feel awkward at all. The only drawback is that they get busy and I usually have to wait in a line three deep to get my drink...but hey, more power to them.
