After visiting a client I inadvertently found this starbucks. It's pleasantly located right off of 880 so if you ever need a quick shot of caffeine, its literally on the freeway. The store looks new, has a different design than most of the other Starbucks I've been too. Layout of the counter n the bar is more curved, which gives it a more updated look and nice flow. Staff was friendly and quick. At most had to wait a total of 30 secs from the moment on stepping in and actually receiving my Red Eye. The seating area is located in it's own bubble separate from the entrance and away from the registers. I don't like sitting at a table and someone is standing right next to me waiting to order. Bathrooms are clean, separate Women and Men's...for those who care. It's a perfect place to come, get your java, and get your work done. read more

Here is my review. I go in person to order coffee, since you always have to wait a bit when going through the drive through. When I step inside, there were nobody except the staff members who were busy with the drive through orders. Many of them do greet me and I felt very welcomed. I ordered the pumpkin spice latte and the guy who was taking my order was prompt at providing the options. I stepped back and into the sitting area, and did notice that the music was quite loud. I was waiting for about 7 minutes, then I went up to see the status of my order, and there it was. I asked the chubby lady with square glasses to ask if this was the pumpkin spice latte, and all she literally said was 'yes' She did not call out my order, nor said anything else about it. No apologies, no nothing. When I go through the drive through though, the customer service is fantastic. I've had many good experiences with the other staff members whom were hospitable and had short memorable conversations. But all it had to take was this one lady to ruin absolutely everything. I'm just here to let everyone know that this is the degree of customer service that you should expect when coming into this Starbucks location. The ratings speaks for itself to be brutally honest. I just felt really bad for the rest of the staff members, they not only are working real hard but also are trying their best to provide the best customer service they can, but because of people like her, none of their efforts are often acknowledged and they as a team ultimately fail to provide the standard of customer service that goes beyond the boundaries. I will most definitely be back with much higher expectations but it would be up to that lady if she will even be ready or not. I love coming here because there's a drive through, and it's right by the 880. It's the perfect place to stop by for a quick coffee. They always make my drinks just right, and the service is very friendly. I've never had a rude barista at this location. Every time, I pull up to the window, it's a friendly face. They're pretty quick too, but it does get busy. read more

They always mess up your drink. Give attitude when they have to fix it or even repeat back your order. Customer service sucks. They have so much attitude. My preschoolers listen better than they do and the people at Starbucks get paid to do it. They suck and management sucks. This location needs help or should be closed. We went to starbucks and in the beginning we asked for 3 separate transactions and one of the employees, Figgy, was so easily confused. Then when we came to the window, he rudely told me "listen, i don't know if you know this, in the food industry saying you have seperate transactions in the beginning is helpful" I didn't appreciate being talked to like this when I spent my money here plenty of times and to get approached rudely by an employee is disappointing. read more

Convenient location as it's right off 880. The quality of drinks and food are consistent with other locations. The staff are nice, but not too friendly. They don't seem to have their flow down. It's a bit scattered from the ordering process to receiving your order. Sometimes they will place my order at the pick up area. Other times they kind of stand behind the cash register and hold it up to me, or set it on the counter beside the cash register. It's kind of confusing. It's a small location with not so many people lining up to order, but I never know where I am supposed to stand to wait and pick up my order. read more

Really convenient location and have had consistent quality each time I visited. I would recommend ordering mobile during rush hours cause it can take up to 15mins for your drink at times. The team works hard behind the counter, thank you guys! I'm a big coffee fan, but not at starbucks so my go-to here are matcha, teas, and sweeter drinks. Cold brews are great with their toppings, downside is an aftertaste. But hey, it gets me to enjoy my cup and gets me through the day. Matcha drinks hot or cold are refreshing. I get mine with soy and it has not disappointed at this location. Others have messed up many times. Lemonade Teas are great refreshers for days I'm not craving caffeine but want a cup of love. *This review is only for the Drive-Thru. I've been here quite a few times over the past month. I've been working a lot of OT lately so I needed a little kick start to my mornings. This is the second Starbucks Drive-thru in Milpitas. And I personally like this one better than the one on Calaveras because it's conveniently close to where I work. The only time I really go to Starbucks is for work or when I'm running errands. I noticed that the service at this drive-thru is great, fast and it's not on a busy street as the other one so it's not as packed. Pretty much all of my drive-thru experiences are fast, but maybe because there are like only 2 or 3 cars ahead of me. I've been one time where there were more cars in front of me and it took awhile to get to the front. Also, it's much faster when someone pays from their Starbucks App, like myself. Gotta maintain that Gold Membership yo! So I'm in and out FAST. I'll continue to go here for a quick drink on the way to work! Thanks to all the drive-thru staff here for being so nice and friendly! But it seems that the staff really focuses on the Drive through, not the people inside. Sad especially since there was a decent amount of people inside. I've only been inside to order twice, and it actually took longer than it does when I go through the drive-through. I think this may be because they focus more on the drive-through orders? It's the oasis you dream about! This was one of the first Starbucks drive-thru's that opened in the bay area. It truly was like an oasis on the side of 880 when we drove passed. I remember thinking to myself, 'wow, a coffee drive thru? What a great concept!' And I'm so glad that Starbucks has expanded that idea and more and more continue to pop up. The line moves pretty fast (but then again, it depends on 'when' you come through). Located right next to Chevron and easy access to 880. First time at this location and placed a mobile order. When I got inside I had to wait longer than the app's projected time (which is fine) but then I overheard the barista complaining about making my mobile order... maybe they are not aware you can hear their conversations while waiting for your coffee or maybe this why it took an abnormally long time to receive my order. Okay so I'm reviewing this particular Starbucks not for their coffee, service, location, etc. but rather their CUPCAKES and other food goodies. I was told by a co-worker that they sell cupcakes here and by golly they do! I love their red velvet cuppies and soooo cheap the price!!! I also like the perfect oatmeal, the fruit and cheese plate, yogurt cups, and sandwiches (especially the Proscuitto/Ricotta sandwich...ask for it warmed up). The madeline cookies have always been a hit with my kids. Sure there is always a long line in the drivethru and service is a hit or miss, but we frequent this joint quite often so we must like it here somehow. read more

So let me qualify my review by saying, I'm one of those Starbucks once daily (sometimes twice daily if I'm evil from being overly tired) people. I frequent many a Starbucks and completely disagree that all Starbucks are created equal. I'll agree that the coffee is generally consistent, but the attention to detail (like 190 degrees), the cleanliness of the store, whether they can keep drip coffee made, how fast they can make drinks, ability to not lose drinks etc is all over the board. This Starbucks is a pretty good one: it's always clean, the folks are always nice, plus it has a drive-thru. B/c it has a drive-thru, sometimes it can affect the timing, and I think drinks take a little longer, but it's worth it to not have to get out of the car if it's pouring rain or I'm lazy. I've had 2 extra special experiences at this one: first is when I was sick, I ordered a chai tea latte extra strong with no milk (190 degrees), and they didn't charge me the latte price; I thought that was really thoughtful and nice. The second is that I got a free drink once here, b/c I got selected for a survey. Lucky me at this lucky Starbucks. read more

It's the people that make this Starbucks rock. This crew rocks here. They know your name, your drink, they are fast, and yet never make you feel rushed or imposing. The drinks here seem to be very consistent and my quad venti skinny vanilla lattes are always rockin. Very clean location too and is quite organized. So if you haven't figured it out I come here for the awesome crew and how good they make you feel. Otherwise I am not a fan of where the location is physically located. Sure it is right off the freeway but getting in and out on California Circle is borderline dangerous. You have to be careful as a subway, a chevron, and an office building all share the same driveway. Add some construction vehicles that feel they can park wherever and you have yourself an adventure. So do come here, hang with an awesome crew, just drive safe! read more

I stop at this drive-thru when I drive my car to work and lately it's just awful. They completely changed thier food menu and nothing is the same. No more lowfat cinnamon coffee cake, etc. I tried a carrot muffin this morning and it was super greasy and raw in the middle. Then a damn hair in my last bite. A good 1 inch blonde effing hair!!! I need to find another place off the freeway. This used to be so convenient but I will not come here anymore - gross! And besides, most of the time you have to endure the nasty rotten garbage smell from the dump that blankets the area. read more

I don't make it a point to leave reviews for chains, but this Starbucks deserves one. It's conveniently located right off of the 880 freeway and has a drive thru (but that's not why it deserves a review). I want to comment on their cozy seating area (which is complete with wireless chargers and lounging chairs) and also on the fact that they have legitimate bathrooms. By legitimate, I mean that they don't just have one bathroom for everyone to use. Not even just one bathroom for each gender. There are actual stalls (as in multiple toilets), and the bathrooms are clean. This Starbucks wins. read more

Not sure what happened today but went through the drive-thru because I needed something to wake me up for the drive to Castro Valley. I also didn't want to get out of my car because of the heat, so I figured this drive-thru should help. I ordered a tall Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew. The person who took my ordered repeated it back to me. As soon as I pulled up to the window, I received a Grande Mocha hot drink. I was in rush, so the 6+ mins delay hurt me. I'm just not sure what happened since I thought the employee and I were on the same page. The drink was good though :) Would give a 3.5 if I could but I'll give a 4 since even though the whole incident was an inconvenient to both me and the employee, it was still handled professionally. read more

I've gone to many Starbucks & probably should review each & everyone but.... you'd be bored I'm sure. I'm pleased to say that I'm thoroughly enjoying sitting in this particular location right now. to my surprise, I feel so comfy in this room off to the side that I just HAD to review it now :-) The baristas were friendly and made my drink super speedy like lol. The last SB I was at took over 20 minutes because the baristas were taking their sweet time - ugh.. which reminds me to review that one! LOL Oh yeah, the bathrooms! There's 2 stalls and it's stocked with items. Can you believe that?! Normally there's little to no toilet paper as well as paper towels. While I was washing my hands (there was soap!!), an employee was refilling the paper towels. How awesome! OK.. back to my venti iced caramel machhiatto.. This is the worst Starbucks. The staff is rude and do not acknowledge you when you walk up to place an order. They just stare at you. I waited for my coffee for the longest time and the girl handing it out was beyond rude and made a comment about me under her breath that only her co worker heard and he laughed. CAN'T believe I have not written a review for this one yet!!!! This is by far my favorite Starbucks! The workers here are SO friendly! I love them! The service here is just wonderful. And it also has a convenient location right off of 880 and next to a few office buildings. The only downside is that the parking lot is..... VERY hard to get in and out of (no, I'm not just saying that because I'm Asian!) if there are no parking spots left, there is always a drive thru! The drive thru is very quick and efficient! I love coming here for my Starbucks, to study, anything! UPDATE: The cashiers may sometimes be a bit absent minded and unobservant when business is super slow! I had to wait a good 5 minutes until being helped. But that aspect is not enough to take off a star! :)! UPDATE: The cashiers may be absent minded sometimes, but I LOVE THE STAFF!!!! Very close to freeway 880 and gas station. AND there is a drive through just in case you don't want to get out of the car. Lines are never a problem considering that the location is in the deep back where some people won't be able to find. But, for those who do find it, they can get a quick btl (black tea lemonade) for a blink of an eye. The staff is very friendly and the customers that are there are usually those who desire for a quiet place to study with out the whole hustle and bustle of cars driving and people talking. read more

Dirtiest and unsanitary Starbucks store I've ever been in. I hope their manager reads their reviews. Came here the morning of Dec 15th about 10am on a Sunday morning and the hygiene of store was already severely compromised. Skid marks in women's toilet, no toilet paper in one stall, debris on in all the door mats like it hadn't been vacuumed for days, sugar, coffee spills on the condiment counter and dirty floors. I told the Starbucks employee about the issue so they should not be surprised reading this review. If you have a choice in another closer store, go there;do not pick this one. One of if not the Best Starbucks around. The girls are pretty, the drinks are quick, and the regulars are friendly. The baristas know their stuff, theyre fast, smile, and will remember your drink if your there often enough. The assistant manager is a cool guy but you know hes in charge. Hes friendly but makes sure things get done. The environment is relaxing and you can usually find me chinese chessing. read more
