One thing to note is that this coffee shop looks more upscale from the street than it does from inside the building or once you step in.... Then it seems like an in-office coffee shop. I kept it simple and ordered my usual cappuccino. The cappuccino was strong and you could taste the espresso for sure, but it wasn't overly great tasting... just OK. For me, this would only be something I go back for if I'm in a hurry and need something super easy. With that said, it's crowded and does take a good amount of time to get your coffee. Entering this location of Zibetto Espresso Bar in the West 50s felt like being in Europe. I ordered a Cortado and an apricot cookie and sat at a table so I could enjoy an afternoon Java break. There is ample seating and there were a number of customers enjoying their drinks. The barista was friendly but being alone one had to have patience. Assorted Italian cookies were in a display case. Here one can also get a card that accumulates points when a coffee purchase is made. There is no working restroom which makes this difficult for some people. read more

Stumbled on this coffee shop on my stroll through midtown. It looks very clean and sleek inside with relaxing vibes so thats a plus. Coffee is basically all you have to think about. It doesn't have that much of anything else. This is a fancy place meaning the Americano is the closest thing you can get to a drip or pretty much. It's $4 for a small cup. That's a lot. It's just the basic coffee. The fancier coffees like lattes are even more. As for the food there's not a whole lot. Mostly croissants and not much besides those. It's $3.50 for a croissant. The girl I met the previous night liked it or at least claimed to. It didn't look like anything special to me. The price of it was okay because it was a big one. Consider going somewhere a lot cheaper. It's not anything you can't get at Starbucks. The real catch here and why I rated it like this was - they have these little sandwiches that look like little burger sliders but with different topping in the front that look really appetizing. I was interested in one with salami. Guy at the cashier asks, "Toasted?" And I reply, "Sure!" When he brought it back - I was so baffled, I almost lost it in front of him. It was totally flattened. I love this place. There are plenty of serious coffee and espresso shops in the area, but Zibetto is a bit different as it reminds me of an Espresso shop you would find in Italy. Rather than the subdued vibe of most coffee shops, Zibetto is all white with a long white marble bar, high ceilings, dance music playing, a small case with treats and chocolates, and other stuff, too. Also, unlike a lot of coffee shops, there are ample places to sit at Zibetto. So, how is the espresso? The espresso is very good, not the best in the world, but is very solid.
