I made the mistake of going through the drive-through this morning now I feel trapped and I can't get out. Why isn't the line moving

I give them three stars for the past good times, but I won't be returning to this store. First, one time the Starbucks app said they closed at 9:30 pm, so I roll by at 9:09 pm they didn't serve me. I let that pass, who knows maybe they were understaffed and had to close early and it happens, it's understandable. But the second and last time happened yesterday. I put in an order for a venti Caramel Macchiato and other things. It took longer than usual, I was finally given the drinks, the venti was dripping from the side and was sticky to the touch. They forgot to give me the pastry I ordered, I had to remind them so they would hang it to me. I go home and give the venti to my sibling and she told me it had no flavor. I took a sip and it turned out it had absolutely no caramel flavor. It was like a cafe latte without any sweet. For $6+ that's pretty disappointing. Good thing I had some caramel syrup at home and sweetened it myself, but that shouldn't be. They must have been very busy because they seemed kind of flustered at the drive thru. But no syrup pumps on the coffee. I hope they don't do these kind of mistakes to other customers. read more

C'mon people! I truly dislike writing negative reviews but, unfortunately, this one could not be avoided. Went through the drive through for an after school treat with my #1 kid. At the window, I was feeling jolly (''tis the season and all!) so I told the barista to keep the change after paying. [As an aside, I dislike tipping BEFORE service but "oh well", I thought..."what could possibly go wrong?"] Everything went wrong after that. We ordered two drinks and two cake pops. Cake pops were handed out the window, no sweat. Then came the chocolate milk. I grabbed the cup and as soon as I got the drink into the car a good 20% of baptized me in the name of the Father, the Son, and Holy Mocha. The lid had been placed on top of the cup, but was in no way, shape, or form ATTACHED to the cup. I let loose with some colorful expletives and saw, out of the corner of my eye, the barista staring- mouth agape. I then secured the lid, making sure I heard the snapping sound indicating I had a good seal, put the cup in the cup holder, and looked over to the barista who, with the enthusiasm of someone getting a root canal, said he was 'so sorry about that' while shoving a handful of napkins in my direction. Thanks but I think I need a mop and bucket. "Can we get a clean up in aisle 7?" I'm sopping up the mess as best as I can and he then hands me my other drink. At this point, I'm really expecting him to hand me a refund. Maybe a card with the manager's number so they can pay for my dry-cleaning? How often are they allowing customers to get doused with the drinks they paid for that the barista's reaction was so nonplussed? Like, 'Yep, just another day here.' I like Starbucks a lot and this is the time of year where I splurge on expensive fancy coffee more because I just ADORE the caramel brûlée lattes. But dang...if this is the kind of service I can expect, there's another Starbucks just a few streets away! read more

By the time I parked to eat my oatmeal, I noticed my oatmeal did not come with any of the blueberries and the agave. I would've got something else if this location was all out. This one has been convenient and consistent with drinks but im getting sick and tired of their rudeness. They r slow yet rude to me because they r slow? No....sick of this. Placed a mobile order .. about 5 to 6 min later I go up.. and they rudely mention to give them 10 minutes that I barely Placed it. We'll other places usually take about 5 min but okay. For the record I am an avid Starbucks consumer. My kids come to school near here. So we come here very often. At least 10 times a month at this location. So after school on treat day 3/11/2025 at 6:00 PM. It's raining heavily. We decided on Starbucks to have a warm drink on our LONG drive home. I live in Riverside. But I've still preferred this location. I sent him inside while I go through the drive through to avoid the rain as I have a smaller child in the car. He comes back out and says "mom they won't let me use the restroom unless you make a purchase." I'm like I'm coming through the drive through!!! So I sent him back. He comes out again literally all upset and in obvious distress... " Mom they said NO!" So I have him sit with his brother, I go inside and literally like HEY can he use the restroom. JOSEPH the supervisor on duty says I'm sorry I'm just following the rules. I'm like what rules? I'm buying something. He says AFTER your purchase he can use the bathroom. I explained to him of all my years being a a Starbucks patron this was the most rude, and inhumane treatment of a child with his parent. Are you serious? Is it because he was a black male wearing a hoodie because it's raining? He was obviously NOT alone. He was being supervised and not only were we going to purchase something. We continuously purchase things here but NOT if JOSEPH cannot treat people with common courtesy, RESPECT, empathy, and human decency. Well went back to this location after about a year. Garbage. Asked for hot bold drip extra hot steamed milk. Received a lukewarm drink. It's in the name, hot coffee, extra hot steamed milk. I took one sip, discovered it was lukewarm, and promptly deposited it in the trash and drove across town to Mestizas coffee on Holt and Euclid. As we know prices are high already and for that reason im choosing to limit spending out and about . But once in a while i go to Starbucks for a simple pastry or coffee. This day i go in drive thru and buy a simple pastry and at payment im asked " to answer question" (tip) before tapping my debit card. That is crazy to me. A simple item and expecting a tip. Starbucks does this a lot, putting tip questions to your face and it makes it uncomfortable. I dont want to tip because im already paying for the items on the go . The workers are great but i feel if someone wants to tip they will ask , but shouldn't be put on you without client asking. Of course if i place large order or something like that i would consider tipping . But in general Tips on "percentages" are getting out of hand. My new favorite location in the vicinity! Sometimes the drive thru gets pretty long which can only be blamed on the location being in such a great spot. Workers here are always friendly and prompt with their service. I always come to this location before I go to work because no one is ever really there. Never had a bad experience until this morning. I pull into the drive through and order a white chocolate mocha. The girl asked me if there was anything else. I said no that's all and she said see you at the window. On the screen my total shows $6.45. I get to the window and waited a little. No big deal. She opens the window and doesn't say my total but scans my card. She comes back and tells me owe $9 more. I was confused. I asked her why when I ordered I only one drink. She said guy ordered two. I said no I only ordered one. She rolled her eyes and looked at the screen and told me you ordered a mango dragonfruit or something like that and I said no I didn't. She rolled her eyes for like the third time and at this point I was annoyed. Because why are you arguing with me. The place has been going down hill. Mobile ordering is always disabled. They've gotten my order wrong a few times and try to blame me for ordering it wrong when I order the same thing each time.
