I've given this place three chances, and every single time has been a disaster. Visit 1: They mixed up my drink sizes. When I politely pointed it out, the barista gave me major attitude, rolled her eyes, and literally stared me down while pouring the wrong drinks down the drain. When she finally handed over the correct sizes, it came with a side of pure disrespect. Visit 2: I specifically ordered my drink with coconut milk. They completely ignored it and gave me regular dairy instead. Visit 3 (Today): I recently found out I'm lactose intolerant, so getting my milk alternative right is a health necessity, not a preference. I asked for coconut milk again. What did they give me? 2% dairy milk. On top of that, they put a whole scoop of matcha powder into a tall cup without mixing it. The powder got all over my clothes, and when I took a sip, I ended up choking on ginormous clumps of dry matcha. It was absolutely disgusting. To top it all off, their online orders are never on time and take absolutely forever. The staff here is rude, the quality control is nonexistent, and they clearly don't care about customer safety or basic orders. Save your time and money and go somewhere else read more

This Starbucks location just did a major interior renovation. It is SO welcoming and eye-pleasing with muted, warm colors and various areas to sit. And, because it has furniture the interior noise level is low and you can actually carry on conversations ...just like in a real coffee shop! The coffee and food items are excellent. One of my new favorite Starbucks to go to! This Starbucks is at a corner plaza in Riviera Village and is one of the largest Starbucks in the area. I love how it is spacious. It is great for having coffee with a friend or simply relaxing and enjoying a quiet moment. Though they can get busy with lots of orders of coffee, they are quite efficient with getting drink orders out. With it's a convenient location (next to a Trader Joe's, a bank and some clothing stores); it's perfect spot to grab a good cup of Starbucks. read more

So I order tall decaf pike with splash of steamed half & half and worker tells me the price. So I say "oh I have one more drink to order", workers rolls his eyes. But honestly I paused because usually they are still typing in first order. So then order tall pike with splash of half & half "not steamed" and 1 sugar in the raw. Worker then tosses sugar on counter. So in my mind I'm like "ok guess do the sugar myself". When drinks come , I get two cups, one with steamed half & half and one with regular half & half. So literally I'm doing it all myself. I asked other worker, "is this how it is now? We do ourselves? " She said we can do on request. Omg this was ridiculous. They have really improved their outdoor patio at this location. There used to be absolutely no shade, but now they've built an extension to the roof with built in heaters, and there is also an awning that extends from that as well. With covid restrictions, they've removed all but three tables, but the built in long wooden benches are still in place, so three small groups can sit outside and enjoy their drink. There are also a couple benches off to the side, on the other side of the sidewalk; there's just isn't any shade there. Like all the other Starbucks, I recommend ordering ahead so you don't have to wait in line. There's plenty of parking. It's free on the side streets and in the small adjacent parking lot, but plenty of metered parking right in front and in the main parking lot. Cash or credit card accepted. read more

The baristas at this location in Riviera Village are always friendly whether you're a regular or a first timer. Staff recommendations are fun too, it's good to get off of the "usual". I go to the one in Redondo Bch in the Hollywood Riviera. They seem short staffed 2 days ago a few of us who didn't order on line order had to wait a while!!! One man left without his drink because it took to long. My drink was done wrong so I had to wait for another one. While in line a young women with 2 large back packs asked the Barista for the combo to the restroom, he gave it to her without her ordering. She then typed the number into her phone? She had 2 big back packs on also! Then there were people taking tables to charge their computers or phones and not ordering drinks?? Then outside these same men every morning gather and take most of the tables and chairs outside just to gather and visit forever.I wasn't the only one that day up set about how long we waited for our drinks and there was only one Barista making all the drinks! Especially with all the on line orders!!! We had to wait because of them!! Why don't they have one Barista during heavy times to do the on line orders and everyone else do the walk ins???? It seemed this young man was on his own and I don't know how he kept his COMPOSURE with all the orders including the walk ins!!! This was one of the first Starbucks to open in the South Bay. For those of us who remember way back when, this location used to be a Winchells Donuts. When this Starbucks first opened it basically just took over the space with very little changes. This left their outdoor seating very limited. Basically, there was just a row of chairs and tables out in front, leaving the customers totally exposed to the sun. This was the way it was for a lot of years. At least twenty. More recently, they did a complete redesign on the space, and they really made the outdoor patio area very nice; as well as they did a great job of re-designing the interior. In terms of what this Starbucks has to offer, it is your basic Starbucks. You get what Starbucks sells. Overall, as is the case with most Starbucks, the staff here all do their job pretty well. It's a nice place to grab a latte on the run or to sit back and enjoy a few moments which conversing with your friends. read more

It's so hard to even remember what this Starbucks used to look like before thanks to this clean, refined new floor plan. It brightened the place up and at least doubled the amount of people! I don't know what is better about this food display case but it draws me in more than other locations. Maybe because it is waiting to greet me at the end of the line before I even talk to someone, the whole pastry case is welcoming me by name whereas other locations we just kind of side right up to it. The servers are always friendly and the service has been quick for me (though I usually go to this location later in the day despite this morning visit). In my last review update, over a month ago, I called out the always dirty condiment bar. Always. Despite several employees on duty nobody wipes it down. Wet & dried sugary spills. Sugar granules all over. I would lay out a few napkins before even setting my cup down to add creamer. Early Christmas morning: ants crawling around on that counter. In December. Ants. I suppose that was inevitable. I told one of the employees, someone I'd never seen before, there are ants. She said, "OK we'll get them." Actually, no you won't at this point....without an exterminator. Shame. I've become accustomed to the coffee & it works. But the ants were the last straw (they should be banned). So I went to Coffee Bean across the street today. Very rude experience on Sunday March 13. I was born and raised in Redondo Beach and came to this location with a total of 8 of us. We all ordered things and proceeded to sit outside patio. After 15 minutes of receiving our order we were told we had to leave. This is at 8pm when we were told this but store closes at 8:30. We asked the male employee can we finish our drinks and he replied sure but Im going to be lifting the tables and chairs and will be sweeping around you. We said but you don't close for another 30 minutes. He didn't care and proceeded rudely to start turning tables over. This was the first time seeing our friend who just underwent open heart surgery 2 weeks prior. Not only was he extremely rude but the girl who took our order inside also. Being a business owner myself this is unacceptable. We will never be returning to this location again. read more

This has to be one of the friendliest and most pleasant staff groups in a coffee shop around the entire area! The first time I visited this establishment, I was floored at how happy and quick the staff was. Then I came back two more times and found the other staff workers to be just as kind and speedy, if not more so. I don't like Starbucks coffee because it's usually burnt so I only come here for the teas - which are absolutely delicious! If all Starbucks were run like this one, I would be much more inclined to frequent their establishment. Once again, I find myself reviewing a Starbucks, which always feels a bit odd. On occasion, I like to swing by a Starbucks on my way to work because they satisfy my craving for a warm beverage during the early hours of the day. I was unsatisfied with the other Starbucks on my route (because, of course, there is no short supply of Starbucks shops). I usually avoid this area because of the parking madness, but in the AM it's quite easy to park, and so I gave it a try. And I'm glad I did. The morning crew here is super friendly and helpful. They learn your name and preferences quickly, they handle the orders with swiftness and care (even when the line gets long), and always smile. It's basically the customer service you want to experience when forking over unreasonable amounts of money for a beverage. In short, if you're into Starbucks, this is the better Starbucks in the area, at least in the AM (for reference, I usually stop by around 5:45-6am). This is the location in the Village and I usually stop in here before heading over to Trader Joes. I found this location to be busy, but the staff was able to get me though the line in lightening speed. There are plenty of alternative snack choices (sandwiches and such) that looked very inviting. There are plenty of tables and seating for those who were there to compute the world's woes away or those on a break between shopping. We sat outside which provided the perfect place for people watching and hot chocolate sipping. For those who grew up in the South Bay, you are fully aware of the parking. The parking lot is indeed small but, the turnover is amazingly swift. If you want to park in the lot, then just drive two or three times around and you'll be able to find a spot. Many fail to mention that there is a HUGE lot across the street and you can always find parking there in a snap and wallk on over. read more

Is the manager/workers not going to do anything about the extremely loud and disrespectful young teens that come every single day? They ALSO BLOCK the walkway for people with wheelchairs. Not once have I seen a manager say stop. I have seen elderly folk pushed, yelled at and not to mention there's over 15 of them taking the chairs with the older folk having no where to sit. The el Segundo location put a stop to this when this occurred last summer. Awful iced coffees here. They skimp on the beans and they make their regular iced coffees taste like water. You can tell an awful iced coffee when you look through the cup and can see straight through it, Also it tastes like crap! If you like cold brew which is more standardized with its garbage cherry and chocolate undertones and over priced cost good for you. Regular iced coffee drinkers drive up to Diamond street. They have a pretty solid and consistent iced coffee there. read more

Liars! They lost my drink order. After waiting a half hour I approach asking about my order. They told me there were people still in front of me that didn't receive their orders. I did not see one person that was in front of me still in the store and people well after me got their drinks. Then a few minutes later they brought me a drink that wasn't what I ordered. When I said I ordered a cold drink and this was a hot drink, they said they would remake it. I didn't have time to wait around so I took it. It was awful.
