Liars! They lost my drink order. After waiting a half hour I approach asking about my order. They told me there were people still in front of me that didn't receive their orders. I did not see one person that was in front of me still in the store and people well after me got their drinks. Then a few minutes later they brought me a drink that wasn't what I ordered. When I said I ordered a cold drink and this was a hot drink, they said they would remake it. I didn't have time to wait around so I took it. It was awful. Annoying customer service today! I visited this location to do some grading while I waited to meet a friend for dinner later. When I first arrived, I asked for the bathroom code and was told it's out of order but I could use one at Trader Joe's nearby. I did. Later, I saw people using it OFTEN and assumed it was now working. When I had to go again, I was given the same story (by a different employee). I then said that I've seen it being used and he asked the woman who gave me the BS story earlier. I told her I saw people using it and she said they must already know the code but stood by the "it's broken" story. So, when I saw a person go in next, I waited. When I went in, it was clean and WORKING. I told her as much and her only response was "that's strange." Giving her the benefit of the doubt, she might've thought it was broken. But me saying I saw people using it should've alerted her to check. She never did. I'll also add that there was never a sign on the doors saying the rest rooms were out of order. read more

The Redondo Village Starbucks on the corner of the bonkers parking lot. Of course you can park in the bigger lot, or the street parking, but I just like mentioning that the little parking lot is very poorly designed. This is a small Starbucks. The lines sometimes fills the store. There is not a lot of seating, so beware if you are going to hang out. Baristas are pretty good, no issues yet. Seems like all Starbucks raised their prices another $0.10 to $0.15 cents lately...I know it's pennies, but nowadays a latte is running $4.40, which is silly for 2 shots of coffee and steamed milk. I usually get brewed coffee anyway, but when I cheat and go to the Caramel Macchiato it's a $3 price difference which really eats into my Lululemon underwear budget. Plus if you drink too many lattes you cant fit into Lulu undies anyway...life is such a double-edged sword. Enjoy peoples..! read more

love this starbucks, great for people watching. very busy, espesh in the mornings, very busy. like waves coming in from the ocean. the bad!! thing is the chairs make a horrible piercing sound whenever someone moves them. unless they pick them up, which never happens. i have earphones on now and it still penetrates them. how about investing some of the starbucks fortune on some rubber leg couzzys so you don't have to have an ear piercing sound with your $10 unicorn frap. even tennis balls would work. thanks read more

If I had the option to give them zero stars, I definitely would! Today is February 26, 2022. The mask ordinance ended as of yesterday, which was February 25, 2022. I had just gone to Trader Joe's with no mask on and my vaccination card in my wallet in case anyone with authority needed to see it upon entrance into the store, no one harassed me no one bother me, I dropped my groceries into my car. I walked into Starbucks and waited in line, once it was my turn to order the barista asked me if I had a mask, I said no I don't, she then proceeded to try to give me one as I politely declined and should I could show her my vaccination card. Where then she declined, and proceeded that I needed to put a mask on and handed one to me, a barista who is not the one helping me was making snide remarks and comments while I was having interaction with the barista that was helping me at the cash register. Debris so then said that they are not allowed to ask for vaccination cards so therefore I need to keep a mascon meanwhile there's other people in their dining and eating with no mask on. In addition to that, when I politely declined taking their mask the barista at the register made stupid remarks immediately. Totally distasteful, super unprofessional, and definitely not a good look for the company. Proper etiquette when dealing with guests should be made a priority and should supersede a barista feeding their ego. That being said when both baristas began to make comments " so sorry we ruined tour day" and other petty comments I walked out and went to another Starbucks. read more

I ordered via the UberEats app. The drink and snack I ordered was delivered promptly and accurately. The staff went above and beyond to write a personalized message on the delivery bag. The staff at the Riviera is the best of any local Starbucks. Try going to another location nearby and you will see the difference. I love the location and I'm usually very happy with this Starbucks, it's definitely one of the best branches in the So Bay. Why I'm unsatisfied is because, I've had issues with an employee putting her hands/fingers on the area where you would drink. When I told her that I would like to put the lid on myself because I did not want her to put her hands on the mouth area of the drink, she became upset. This is probably my favorite Starbucks in the South Bay! All of the employees that work here are so helpful and kind. Big shout out to Eileen and Ryan, they're the best and will make your drinks to perfection! This location also has plentiful seating, and has just been remodeled. There aren't too many teenagers here like the Palos Verdes location because it isn't by a high school. I prefer to come here to work because it's quieter and more spacious. There is plenty of parking in a small lot out front that is free, and there is also more spots surrounding the area that are metered. read more

Even during slow times its extremely likely you'll wait at least 5 to 10 mins passed your pick up order for mobile. They are always out of basic things like splenda. read more

I hadn't been here in a long time, but apparently they remodeled in July, and this place looks so nice now! It's brighter, it's cleaner, and it feels more comfortable and spacious. There's even an outdoor patio area, as well as "bar seating" at the end of the coffee bar, so you can watch the baristas make drinks if you so wish. The baristas are friendly and efficient--I was there during a mid-afternoon rush, but the line went by quickly and everybody got their drinks promptly. Parking can be difficult, as Starbucks shares a small lot with a number of other stores in the plaza. But there is a larger public parking with meters across the street. read more

What could be better than a Starbucks located in the beautiful Riviera Village in South Redondo? Well, not much, because that's pretty damned awesome in and of itself. It is a little small, which leads inevitably to long lines at the expected times of the day--if you are a coffee junkie like me, you know what I am talking about. The barristas don't have a lot of working room at this location, but in spite of that, they are always in a good mood. They glide by each other, bustling orders, etc., and manage to get people their fancy foo-foo and frapp drinks without the line getting out the door. Gets pretty close, but they work their system pretty well, which includes being staffed at the right times. The scenery is beautiful and yet casual (is that right?). Benches, flowers, trees, the merry go round parking lot by the trader Joes, and Verizon, Cardea Too. If I can, I prefer to walk down from where we live to this Starbucks instread of dealing with that aforementioned parking lot. Honestly, it can try ones' patience if you need to go round twice in order to get a spot---! Good attitudes, good quality, and good service. That's all I need from Starbucks, and these folks hit the marks. read more

Unfortunately I have a typical Starbucks story. My daughter went in to order a tall flat white, while I stayed in the car. It was 545pm on 12/09 in riviera Village Redondo Beach and the place was empty. After 14 min I got out of the car to find out what the fuck was taking so long? The Barista said they were busy re calculating the espresso machine. She said it rather "as a matter of fact" and I should somehow be familiar with the general maintenance of their espresso machine. On top of that the lack of empathy, in her attitude was shocking. She was the poster child for boycotting Starbucks and there snooty, "I've been there before"employees behind the counter. Do yourself a favour and go somewhere else if you're in the need for a quick shot of coffee. read more

This was my 3rd time at this location since the remodel. I never complain about the parking space or even if the drink is made incorrectly, all I care about is service, service, service. I can In to have a cup of coffee and read the paper, I needed to use the bathroom and when asking the oriental manager on duty at 8:07am politely for the bathroom code "excuse me, what is the code to the restroom?" The service is fast, and the staff is friendly so the low rating is not towards the staff. Instead, it is for the space of this Starbucks. It is fairly small, and I find myself cramped in this place. The set up of this Starbucks is not friendly for those who would like to study or work here for a long period of time. Because of the small space, we can clearly hear the sound of coffee being made, and blenders being washed. I find it to be very disruptive. Given that there are so many other Starbucks nearby, as well as another coffee shop across the street (Coffee Bean), I would recommend going to a different coffee shop if you were planning on doing work. read more

I got food poisoning here last Sunday from a black iced coffee. And, the previous weekend they gave me sweetened black ice coffee when I asked for unsweetened black, but they were so slow I didn't exchange it, just took a few sips and threw it away. A few months ago there was a fly feeding on one of the display breakfast sandwiches. I was jokingly going to ask how much extra for the fly, but didn't. Great location though. Very friendly staff, however something very strange happened with one of the employees. I ordered a venti latte and a warm old fashion donut, which I have ordered 100 times at Starbucks around the nation. I was charged for my order and while waiting for the donut, one of the employees dispatching the pastries and sandwiches refused to heat up the donut claiming it would break apart, which was not acceptable to customers. I explained to her that's how I ordered every single time and that there was never an issue. Again, she refused to warm the donut up. So I was forced to order something else... One last point, that same day I flew to Chicago and the following day to Miami ordering the same thing, no issues warming up a glazed donut at either place. Simply weird! read more

The shop is small and busy but even with long lines service is fast. 4.If you have to drive, park on the street or in the lot next to the small center as the Trader Joe's lot is always packed with TJ customers and is hard to get in and out of---fender benders everywhere. 5. The shape of this particular Starbucks can make moving around a little difficult (it's somewhat narrow) but other than that it's a Starbucks so nothing really changes. There are two options to enter/exit and that does make the transition nice. No complaints, I got exactly what I ordered without any delay. :D read more

I want to thank an amazing employee named Matt. He saved Christmas! My daughter asked her elf 3 days before Christmasfor a gingerbread house. My daughter akes her elf because she has numerous allergies and we had never seen a safe one before. I spent hours researching when I found out the Starbucks gingerbread house was safe for her! I quickly ordered it on my Starbucks app and rushed to the store to pick up... only to find when I got there that they were sold out. As were all the other stores near me. I was crushed, I didn't want my daughter crushed too. At this point Matt took my number and said he would find one and bring it to the store. I was very appreciative but not too hopeful since he had already called a couple of stores and they were also sold out. Then at 7:50 that night Matt called to tell me he had found one and that I could come pick it up! My daughter received a note from her elf in her advent calender to open a specially wrapped gift under the tree. She screamed and cried with joy that her elf had gotten a safe gingerbread house from Santa. I want to thank Matt for going above and beyond to make my little girl's dreams come true. One of my favorite places to meet friends for coffee. Less busy earlier in the week, so the free parking lot usually has open spaces or they open up frequently. The large lot has metered parking. Came in here a few weeks ago with family. We were originally planning to get it to go so only put in 50 cents on the meter outside. We placed our order and about $25 bucks later we decide to grab a seat outside and then go for a stroll in the village. So I walked back in and asked if they could change a few bucks for the meters outside (about 15 feet from their door). The girl at the register straight up refused the money and says "sorry we don't give change". I was holding my drink in my hand and said to her "really? I just spent $25 a few minutes ago so I am a paying customer." She then said "Sorry. I can't open the register". I walk out and go into Jamba Juice and Yogurtland and get the same reply. I go to the Hallmark store next to Yogurtland and the girl there gladly gives me change. We kinda laughed about their policy. I mean, how can we patronize your stores if we can't even get change to pay the meters? I can walk in off the street, not buy a single thing and use your restrooms and sit on your chairs but god forbid if I buy something and need change for your meters. Lol. read more

Recently remodeled location with very nice modern open concept. I enjoy walking to this location since it's close to RAT Beach and the Riviera Village. I love the staff and their enthusiasm! They are always accommodating to my kids when we ask them to split a venti into two talks for my kids. Check them out! This Starbucks is a bit more of a destination location because it is in the Village. The service has always been friendly and competent. (I noticed that after visiting two local Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf locations.) If you live around South Redondo you will probably see people you know. It can be a scene. The only negative is that some of the patrons are total tools. I've told people in line in front of me, "Get of your phone and be ready to order. I gotta get to work." That has offended some people. But, they are the inconsiderate, self centered douches holding up the line. read more
