Strawberry goo and seeds.... Notice the color is different... that is never the same either.
Cindy S.

I come to this Starbucks often. I get the strawberry açaí refresher....this week I have had to have them remake my drink which is relatively simple. There should not be an inch of guck from the strawberry seeds and dust in my cup, yet each time this week it has been. There are only a handful of friendly workers, and they always prepare my drink right. Not worth $7 to drink seeds.

I found glass in my drink! I am 30 weeks pregnant and they tried giving me a 4 $ gift card! I want those employees fired! They didn't even care!!! I will sue if they don't fire them. My mouth is all cut up!! Starbucks needs to stop offering me gift cards!! I don't want that!!!!!!!!

Lovely drive-thru location with friendly service. Situated in the same plaza as Club Fitness which makes it super convenient for grabbing my PreWorkout morning Joe. There's plenty of seating both indoor & outside patio. Merchandise for purchase includes the typical overpriced Starbucks mugs, tumblers, coffee beans, brew systems and more. Cold case packed with grab & go lunch-a-bles, pastries, yogurt, fruit & so on. ~Christy

Finally stopped at this location for the first time on Sunday. We went thru the drive-thru and surprisingly there was no line. I love that they serve breakfast sandwhiches all day and they have a really nice variety of filling sandwiches. On our next visit I will definately be getting out the car and going in to check out the inside. The drive-thru experience went smoothly and the employee was very friendly. I want to bring the fur babies next visit so they can get the little cup of whipped cream. I ordered the caramel frappuccino grande and chocolate croissant which is served warm. Panera is usually my spot but I forgot how good Starbucks is. Yes, I will definately be returning.

Best Starbucks in St. Louis!

I come here just about every morning before work and get my "grande pikes in a venti" cup. The staff and manager are very friendly. They refer to me by name. I love the atmosphere. Food is great. ( of course coffee is too). I've been to a few Starbucks in the area and they seem to be dirty every time I'm there and just not friendly at all. But this location is always clean, including the bathrooms. If you want a place to relax with your friends or to study then I highly recommend this place. Its the best in St Louis in my opinion.

I've given this place so many chances, but the times I leave unsatisfied outweigh the times I leave happy. Every time I get my drink it seems to be made incorrectly or stingy on the amount. I went a few days ago and ordered a grande Starbucks double shot on ice. Didn't pay attention when I left. Turns it out was less than half way full. The majority was foam. I realize this is the case with those drinks but it's hard when you pay for a grande and I got less than a tall. Thought I would try this place one more time this morning. Ordered a venti double shot on ice today. Same thing, too much foam and made incorrectly. The drink usually comes with classic syrup to sweeten it up. No classic syrup and barely any skim milk. I love the staff, very friendly, but drinks are awful quality. We all know Starbucks is pricey and when you pay that much for a drink and it's made wrong or has half the amount in it, it's frustrating. I did have a few sips of the drink below, but it did fit in to my grande Starbucks mug. First bad review I've given. DRIVE THRU IS AWFUL. At 5:30 in the morning I shouldn't wait 18 minutes For a drink. Do not go here if you think you'll be in and out quickly. I could have ordered a dinner at restaurant and got my food quicker than I got my drink at the drive thru. And I was the second car in line.

May birthday reward with 6/2 expiration date. Example #2

(Disclaimer: Sorry for the length, I'm heated/venting!) I normally would give this store a 5, but I had a TERRIBLE experience here this morning because of the shift? manager. I had called earlier to advise I was walking up with my dog from my neighborhood and asked if they were still bringing out online orders for curbside pickup. I was given 3 options on the phone (from the woman who answered). 1) I can come in with dog to place my order and wait outside for the beverage. 2) I can leave the dog outside and come inside to order/pickup. 3) I can go to the drive-thru window. I chose #1, because in the past I've been told you can't pick up orders in the drive-thru, as it's disruptive to the vehicles in line. When I walked in to place my order, everyone seemed friendly. No one else was in the store, except for employees. I forgot to put my face mask on, so as I was ordering my drink, I quickly took it out of my pocket and put it on. I was redeeming a birthday reward too, as my birthday was 5/19. The person ringing my order made a mistake and called a manager (I think her name was Meghan (blue/turquoise hair?)). She had to do a complete refund, which was fine by me, I was in no hurry. She did the refund, and when Meghan rang the drink up again, she claimed that my birthday redemption was nowhere to be found and it may have expired. I told her the reward gave me until 6/2. She argued with me that they typically expire within the end of the month of the birthday. I went to show her my screen with the expiration of 6/2 and she brushed me away saying "Just forget it, it's fine." I think she realized it was still May (May 30th). While they were making my drink, Meghan became increasingly passive-aggressive. She told me that unless my dog was a service dog, I'm really not supposed to bring him inside. As I was telling her I figured they would have told me that immediately when I walked in the store, she continued talking over me, telling me next time I need to use the drive-thru. I had been in there for about 5-10 mins at this point, and no one said a word to me about the dog, until that moment. I said I would be happy to wait outside, and they could bring the drink out to me. She told me to go outside, and that next time I need to use the drive-thru. Very nasty tone and demeanor. I don't know if she was upset she had to do the refund, that she was wrong about my birthday redemption, or if she was having a bad day, but her behavior was disrespectful, and frankly unacceptable. I'm a local resident to Rock Hill that's supported this location ever since I moved here, even through the pandemic. No one deserves to be treated this way, but especially local folks trying to support a local business. Oh, and they never brought out the pup cup I asked for either. So my dog gives them 1 star too!

But why would you want to eat food from a coffee shop? I've been visiting coffee shops on the reg for the past several weeks, and I've repeatedly made the mistake of ordering breakfast sandwiches, burritos and what have you. I have no one to blame for this but myself. I knew going in that it wasn't a good idea. I just couldn't help myself. This must be how people end up on drugs. There was a race going on nearby, when I visited 23 West yesterday. I wasn't involved, though I was there in a running capacity. My running group just happened to be meeting there. We ran a few miles in the neighborhood before our visit. By the time we got there, there was quite a crowd. The contrast between the sweaty, disheveled runners and the sleek, modern decor was striking. This place has an interior like some showroom where you're pressured into taking out a high-interest loan to purchase jewelry of questionable provenance. Are they in cahoots with the bank next door? Both buildings, I notice, have a similar facade. 23 West is painted the same shade of gray as a post-McPlayPlace-era McDonald's, when they started trying to look like a Chipotle. Some girls on apps prefer it if you didn't take them to get coffee. It's not expensive enough. If you can get one to agree to such a date, you might consider bringing them here. It's classy. The coffee is good too. I went with the Raspberry Cheesecake Cold Brew, a seasonal item. It was magnificent. I ordered mine to-go, so I could enjoy it at the tables out front, and in case 12 showed up. They give it to you in a tall plastic cup with no lid, filled to the point where it's nearly impossible to carry without spilling, presumably so you can sample the delicious cheesecake-like froth and probably get a little bit of it in your mustache. You can't really sip it with a straw. The coffee itself is surprisingly robust, given the depth of the raspberry flavor. It's an odd idea for a drink, and not something I'd usually order, but the execution was on point. I also went with a Cherry Almond Scone. I had to eat something, for emotional reasons, and it looked interesting. I'm no expert on scones, but I enjoyed it. It may have been the most dense baked good I've ever eaten, to the point where it could probably be used as a weapon, in a pinch. I know it's supposed to be similar to a biscuit and that in England, where they're consumed on the reg, a biscuit is known as a cookie (why?). It's a lot dryer than even the biscuits at a Lee's Famous Recipe, but intentionally so, I guess because it's designed to be eaten with a beverage. A hot beverage is probably ideal, but I made it work with a cold brew. It's the kind of thing you don't realize until after the fact. Next time I'll know. If and when I do return, I'll be dressed as a magician, possibly with a young lady in tow.

They made a fresh pot of coffee and even went the extra mile to go get ice as we came in later in the evening and they had run out. I did tell them they didn't need to, but he insisted which I thought was outstanding. This quaint little café is so charming inside. It allows people to gather eat a sweet treat and have general conversation conversations where you can actually hear one another. They do have outside seating too. The chocolate cake was soft and as a non-cake lover I found this very delicious. Definitely worthy of sharing. I ordered a quiche to go. I had mentioned they didn't have the spinach feta pastry that I had before. The gentleman stated we have some in the back, I'm happy to get you one. So I ordered that too. And although this was only our second time coming, the fact that they'll make a fresh pot of coffee in my opinion is key to a great café. I will keep this in my rotation of places to go.

There are no misses on the restaurant menu, everything is delicious, and if I had the stomach capacity I would want to order everything in one sitting to eat. The Cilbir is one of my favorites because of the yogurt and the eggs once mixed together is so delicious together with the bread they provide. However the Sendvic is another classic in our household, either with the sudzuka or the beef bacon added. Honestly everything on their menu is amazing. One thing to note is you are supposed to order first before sitting down since they assign you your seat/table. Sadly, I'd say this restaurant is actually a star worse than BTB. Let's start with the positives: this place has a cool vibe. It's industrial with a bit of the warmth from the attached Rolling Ridge Nursery below. The downside of the industrial vibe is that the chairs are painful and there could be more seating. The food wasn't bad by any means, but it didn't knock our socks off. My Mom got the Breakfast Sendvic, which is essentially an Egg Sandwich on crispy bread with an herb aioli. She added Beef Bacon. I understand they don't serve pork here, but the Beef Bacon was not her favorite. I got the Breakfast Pide. I thought I ordered sausage on top, but instead received something similar to Pepperoni. Regardless, I enjoyed my meal. The service was definitely the weakest part of our experience. We did not encounter one "friendly" staff member. They all ranged from cordial to rude. That being said, I think we'd give Telva another chance a few months from now.

Pricing is really reasonable... which allows you to indulge in some additional baked goods or one of their fun merchandise items like homemade dog treats, t-shirts, mugs, etc. I also like that they have a small shelf of books, records, and games if you want a little BFF time - with your bestie or for just yourself! I ordered one of their March specials, the Peanut Butter Guts, as I love coffee and peanut butter together. I also ordered a cookie from Cookie Hustle (which I think is like a sister business housed under the same roof) -- a pumpkin snickerdoodle. Sounded so good! I enjoyed my coffee drink. Eventually, I'd run out of money and be forced to live out of doors, perhaps in a tent in the park across the street. It would almost be worth it. Kentzo Koffee is not without its flaws, but it's a good place to have a coffee ("koffee") and a light breakfast. It's not clear to me how long it's been around, but it's possible they have a few issues that just need ironing out. A guy from my running group who lives nearby was running down the litany of businesses that have been in this space. Is this location cursed? Was a Native American killed there? This is no fault of Kentzo, but there was some confusion as to whether the breakfast bowl comes with eggs. I could have sworn that it doesn't and that the menu made this clear, but a few members of my group, who are girls with whom I'm not inclined to outwardly disagree, insisted that it does. It seems like it should anyway, right? What's a breakfast bowl without eggs? You could just as easily have such a bowl for lunch. That's unacceptable. This place had umpteen baristas, including one dressed like she was working for tips in a place frequented by bikers (she looked amazing), but they were barely keeping up with orders. This was fine with me. I didn't have anywhere to be, and my drink--an iced vanilla latte, natch--was good when it finally came out. But this is not the kind of place to stop and grab a quick drink on your way to work. There was only one guy making food, as far as I can tell, and he was on it. He made my Breakfast Bowl w/ Bacon and brought it out before I got my drink. He warned me that the bowl was hot, but he was holding it with his bare hand. He must think that I'm actually *from* Maplewood. I had to have the girl who handed me my drink fetch my cinnamon roll. Were they supposed to hand it to me when I ordered? Were they hoping I'd just forget? The cinnamon roll was cold, like maybe it sat in a refrigerator overnight. It occurred to me that it almost certainly wasn't made that day, but it didn't seem particularly stale or prepackaged. It cost more than I paid for most meals in the pre-Brandon era, and it occurred to me that they could just give you a bit less, not charge as much, and I'd be fine with that. Did I devour the whole thing in a few bites anyway, like I just got out of jail? Yes. Yes, I did.
