I have a hard time placing my finger on this location... I have seen improvement over the past few months, but it's still hit or miss. My guess is that when the manager is present, the employee's will bring their A game, but there are still times when I go in and I wish I went across the street to the other Starbucks location to receive better service. Mediocre drinks. Went there today, Dec 1, 2019, and my latte tastes watery and not much egg nog flavor. This used to be the best Starbucks in Summerville but it quickly declined. Now the drinks are almost undrinkable. I think retraining of employees may be needed. read more

When I go to Starbucks I shouldn't feel like I am at Dunkin Donuts. That's how I felt today when the girl at the drive thru had a "Dunkin" attitude. Then I get my drink that is clearly wrong and there is no sense of urgency to get it right. When I decide to spend $6 on a coffee it want it perfect and the people serving it to me to have a smile. I ordered on app and my friend picked it up. It was the most disgusting ham and swiss I have ever had. Most of the breas was so hard I had to tear it away. As for the ham and swiss, there was next to nothing on the sandwich. Very disappointing! Waste of money. read more

So don't get me wrong I love some Starbucks but there's been a few occasions now that have just completely ruined it for me. If you want to be completely belittled by the baristas and treated like you should know how the drinks are made there, this is the place for you. This location is very convenient to where I live but they need an overhaul. Almost every time I go here my order is wrong. On two separate occasions when I tell them it's incorrect they insist I "try it anyway" because "I might like it". Just make the correct order! Went here earlier today and they tried to scam me with the wrong drink. When I brought it to their attention I was lied to and the young lady was extremely rude and dismissive about it. Tonight I had an awful encounter with a horrible person (who isn't even worth mentioning). I was visibly upset afterwards and angry at the way I was spoken to in front of my children by a random stranger. The young lady working the drive thru was very understanding as I calmed down enough to place my order (through tears). When I got to the window, she took a description of the person & their car, scanned the parking lot to make sure they were gone, & gave my daughter & I our drinks for free. Everything was clean! I came in to study. No one was loud. I ordered a Green Tea Lemonade with 10 classics. Delicious!!!!

I told them I wanted a regular chocolate frappe. Well I didn't even get that, they gave me a white chocolate frappe. Then they were rushing me before I was even done with my order, I didn't even drink it because I was so mad on how they were rushing me and didn't even get my order right. I went to this Starbucks in the morning. The service was adequate at best and the music playing was absolutely inappropriate for the atmosphere. A variety of high tempo music is not ideal for what is supposed to be a calm environment to get work done, talk, etc. I don't intend to come back here anytime soon. read more

I give this Starbucks 4 stars due to the service. I am mostly a mobile order customer. The times (not ever time) I have had food with my coffee i have waited quite a bit of time to receive it. The problem is not so much the wait but their response when I asked about the rest of my order. They are snappy and respond with we are very busy as you can see or it will be out soon so please be patient. Having worked for several years in retail and education I try to be very conscious of how I ask. Not all of the employees are snappy but most of them are. It's usually who is working as barristers at the time. I changed my 4 stars to a 3 stars as I watched them make my Hibiscus Berry tea in the cup they gave me when they are to use the shaker and it's mostly water. No measuring. One scoop of berries instead of two. This has happen in several times now. I have arrived early for my mobile order and watched them fix my drink the wrong way. read more

My boyfriend and I went inside to order and we ordered one black coffee and two bagels with cream cheese. Well, we never received our coffee so we had to re order it and our bagels didn't come with silverware or cream cheese. I waited at the counter for a couple minutes with no acknowledgement and finally spoke up and told one of the girls what we were missing. The girls are very ditzy and rather rude. The blonde girl who fixed our food had a very rude attitude as well. This was far from the best Starbucks service we've had. read more

Great place to relax or get work done, except sitting outside gets frustrating because people stand out there and smoke despite the non-smoking policy. (They'll stand next to the parking lot just outside the covered area as if we can't smell the smoke). They need to do a better job enforcing the no smoking policy. read more

One of the best Starbucks locations I've ever been too. Clean, modern, quick, and the staff is always extremely friendly and kind.

One thing I love about Starbucks is being able to sit outside and enjoy the fresh air, sometimes with our baby, thanks to Starbucks' NO SMOKING policy. The Nexton Starbucks, however, doesn't seem to enforce that policy. I've been there three times, and each time, people simply step a few feet away from the seating area and light up. Last time I was there with our baby, I counted five people standing around smoking within about 10 feet of the building. We mentioned it to the manager the first time and figured they'd enforce it, but we went back two more times and the same exact thing happened. One employee was sitting on the patio smoking (may have been vaping), and three people smoking ten feet from where we were sitting. So we left. They need more visible signage, and more importantly, they need to enforce the No Smoking policy. Until then, we'll go to Bigby or better yet, Coastal Coffee Roasters down the street. read more

Have been on several occasions and it tends to be very hit or miss. Last week my drink was lukewarm because the barista put it up by the mobile orders and didn't call my name. I saw it go up, but didn't check for the above stated reasons. Finally I went up to see what was happening, and he said, oh, yeah, that's the one over there. Then yesterday I ordered a cream cheese Danish with my latte. The latte again took some time, but the Danish was twice as long. Then when it did come out, she brought it with literally 5 other food orders, and mine was lukewarm (even though I had asked for it to be toasted). The cream cheese in the center was still cold, and frankly the pastry part of the pastry tasted more like bread. I would not waste my time or money on that again. The staff seemed very disorganized and came across unprofessional in their communication with each other (which was very easy to hear, even when you weren't trying to listen) and customers. One or two more experiences like this and I will find another place to have my meetings. read more
