I go to Starbucks nearly every day and get a cappuccino at least 50% of the time. I went to the Janss and Moorpark location today (not my regular spot) and the girl was so rude to me. The cappuccino was made wrong - no problem. they made it with 2 espresso shots and only foam, no milk and I asked for classic syrup and it had none) They were busy, it happens. Mo biggie. But I asked for her to remake it and she tried to "explain" to me what a cappuccino is - as if I don't order one 3 times a week. She very rudely told me to move (I was standing where mobile pick up is and it was crowded with people, I wasn't trying to stand close to her). When I asked for her to remake it with a little more milk - I specifically said "I don't want a latte, I would just like a little steamed milk" she rolled her eyes at me and then remade it into a latte. 80% milk. I don't go to this location often because they typically take forever to get orders out and I just don't usually have time to wait 10-15 minutes for a coffee. But I was on this side of town today so went. I have also never written a bad yelp review for any place. The girl was just so rude to me and kept yelling customers names out with an angry attitude in her voice. It's loud, they have to call out customers names - I get it. I go to Starbucks all the time - but this girl clearly does not like her job and maybe should find other employment if she is going to treat people like a giant inconvenience instead of a customer. read more

So...I've been here twice. It's definitely not my neighborhood Starbucks. The first time I went the staff were friendly enough. The second time, they looked hung-over and were not friendly. Both times, however, it smelled very strongly of alcoholic beverages. Like a bar with shots spilled all over it, disgusting. The seating is awkward, it just isn't a friendly environment. I've been coming to this location for about 10 years on and off and became a regular about 5 years ago. I know that some people don't like Starbucks because it is a mega chain but I really enjoy their coffee versus some other coffee places (and I've tried a lot). I've also have been to many different locations but this is my favorite. Not only is this 5 minutes from my home, but I like the people and atmosphere. When you're a regular, its very nice that the baristas knows your name and if you get the same coffee all the time, they start to make it before you order it so its ready but the time you pay for it. I feel like Norm from Cheers sometimes. :o) But I have thrown them off the past few weeks since they started their Fall Drinks (try the pumpkin lattes!). Atmosphere Its kinda chilly so bring a coat. Inside, outside, and the bathrooms are always clean. Even though their busy, I've noticed they check the tables, condiment counter, and the bathroom regularly so its tidy. Parking Lots of places to park since its in a small plaza. Its also near a lot of small shops, a gas station and places to eat. Customer Service - 5 Stars! Always friendly, helpful and prompt. :o) I recommend coming to this location. It's also great that they have free WiFi. Coffee snobs may have a lot to say about the big Starbucks chains, but at the end of the day, I love being able to find somewhere that I can plop myself down to read/study. Sure the coffee isn't out of this world, but this location has lots of parking, plenty of tables and seating inside/out and is nearby quite a few places where I can grab a quick bit. Add to that the friendly staff and familiar faces you'll run into throughout the week and you've got yourself a good time. The only downside is that like just about any Starbucks, they keep it pretty darn cold inside (sneaky...) so if you get cold easily layer up, or get something hot to drink. read more

I come to this Starbucks since it is currently in my morning route. This will change when my route changes. I come in for a drip coffee, nothing for the bar. Every time I come in here, the line is to the door and everyone seems to be moving fast behind the counter, but the line doesn't move at the same speed. I have been to 20 different Starbucks and this one seems to be the slowest. I believe some of the staff are more speedy than others an if you get two together, this will slow the rush hour. I agree with others that they have plenty of seating both inside and outside. There's also plenty of parking due to the shopping center. I come here every Monday-Friday and order the same thing. The staff is very polite and welcoming, especially Charlie. She is very helpful and is always in a great mood. I've had a couple of employees not in their greatest moods from time to time but she's always upbeat and ready to start the day. Very.. Odd customer service. 10:30 am on a Saturday and it seems some of the girls might have needed some more sleep this morning. The young woman working the register seemed confused, and had trouble making change. When she finally was able to get $1.05 together she just put it on the counter right in front of my outstretched hand and blinked at me. Strange girl. The young lady putting out ready drinks didn't seem too concerned with calling any names, she just set them down and left them for customers to guess. When I asked what the drinks were, to see if one was mine she just said "they're not for you" and then proceeded to set my drink down without another word. Decent store, there are some great employees like Meg and Brian, however the store manager of this location doesn't know how to staff. There is usually only 2 employees on the floor and they are always busy. This causes long waits, especially when they have a new employee who is not very fast because they are new. Corporate Starbucks needs to reevaluate this store manager because she doesn't know how to do her job and her employees suffer because of it. Expect your drink to take a while to be made and there to not be many employees because of lack of a good manager. read more

What can I say about Starbucks! I love the rewards program, I get a lot of free drinks because of the star program. Staff is friendly parking lot is accessible. If you are in a rush, use the app and order in advance- it's typicallywaiting for you by the time you arrive. This particular location is very accessible close to the 101 and 23 and has a Drive Thru. Staff here has always been very nice and friendly. I especially like the trash can as you pull out of line- I need to dump my old Starbucks cups to make room for my new one ! read more

I stopped by on a Sunday morning to get a quick brew and a bite before a long drive. I found that the staff was busy setting up and bit preoccupied. To be fair, they were setting up, and so I patiently waited in front to be attended. I was quickly given the blonde christmas roast, which I recommend for those who want something light in flavor. The reason the place was given four stars is simply because the place was not kept very clean at this hour, and I believe it should have been. This Thousand Oaks Starbucks only gets 2 stars. It's not a reflection on the other locations. My mother told me if I didn't have anything nice to say - not to say it...but, I cannot help myself from telling the truth. Most of the mentally challenged must work here. One pump raspberry please - in my coffee - please don't leave the pump of flavoring in the bottle, please um hello, hello!? can you please put that pump of flavor in my coffee? Charged for 1 pump - guess what?! No flavor was added. Personally I occasionally go to Starbucks to get "a coffee". I don't go to get an awesome cup of coffee, no. I have to get flavor because, well Starbucks over roasts their coffee and it tastes like burnt crap. So 1 pump of raspberry flavor aids in sweetening up the crappy coffee and makes it more palatable. Then I order a Gouda and bacon artisan sandwich, oh my - I'm starved...what's this no bacon??! Well let's make a phone call to make these people aware of my sandwich foible. Diane answers happily - but, then sounds really annoyed, at my relaying the bad news and tells me they will replace it. Can I just have the bacon? Eric will take care of it at 2:30pm for me she says. I get off at 2:30pm so another breakfast sandwich at 2:30pm is completely silly - but, whatever! I want the frikken bacon I paid for and didn't get. I'm out this way for work every other weekend. Why can't you just look in the sandwich and make sure everything is there? I know all you do is heat it. Why can't you put one pump of flavor (I paid for) in my coffee? I've been to this Starbucks many times and every single time I get horrible service or a horribly made drink. The last time was on Friday (which happened to be my birthday) and after the employees ringing us up had ignored us and got half our order wrong, the latte I had ordered spilled all over my new dress and when I asked the employee for napkins, she ignored me and just put a new lid on my drink. This is the slowest Starbucks ever. Is right near my school so it's the prime location yet I went in this morning at 7:25 and ordered an iced tea and coffee cake it took them 15 min to get it to me. There were only a few people in there. Absolutely no reason for then to be so slow. Every time I go, they are incredibly slow it's insane. The Starbucks at LAX is faster. Now I go to a farther Starbucks because I know they will get me my drink at a normal fast pace, and the drive there is literally faster than the pace they move at this Starbucks to get me an iced tea.
