My family went there for lunch and we were pretty disappointed. We got there around 1 PM, and the buffet looked like it had been sitting for a while and not touched. I went up to get my son some food and decided not to even order the buffet. The menu left a lot to be desired, and after seeing the prices on the menu, and the quality of good on the buffet, I didn't want to order anything. I settled for a bowl of gumbo, and it was nothing impressive. It lacked flavor, and just wasn't good. My 6 year old daughter even mentioned that the food wasn't good. Prices are a little high for the comfort food they serve. If you order from the menu it takes forever. Four of us ate multiple servings from the buffet and the baked tilapia still had not shown up. On the buffet the tomato soup was awful as was the fettuccine. The fettuccine was bitter. That was the only flavor it had. The ranch dressing was some kind of bottled flavor---definitely not a home made kind. The fried fish snd chicken strips were good. The salad bar was adequate. Horrible! Horrible! Horrible! This place used to be a staple for the locals around Branson. Unfortunately they have changed the buffet and turned it into a tourist trap. Food is way overpriced for what you get. When the crab was unlimited I could justify paying 35 per person. But now the price is not worth it. I go to whipper snappers now. We saw the buffet sign thinking there's our place! While there were not many in the parking lot...we should have taken that as our sign. Walking in, we noticed a musty smell and were seated by a nice waitress at a table where the A/C intake was dripping condensation in our food. The food was dumped out of a can, minimal choice and only one choice of seafood. We should have just left but joined in on the buffet bar. One plate we were out of there. Well, we thought we were. The only thing that saved this place was the crab legs, oh my they were awesome. They cracked perfect almost every time. The only time we had to use the crackers were for the claws. TERRIBLE! This place is run down and very disappointing! My son and I got the "all you can eat seafood buffet" and we felt so cheated! After paying over $70 for 3 of us I felt disgusted and scammed. Almost everything on the seafood buffet was heavily breaded and greasy. The shrimp and calamari was very disgusting and the rest of the food was so-so. My wife had the pot roast and said it was actually pretty good but the gravy was disgusting. We all felt terrible and sick the whole day after. Just had dinner here with my family. It was sub par at best. My wife ordered the peel and eat shrimp and in the description it said it was boiled and seasoned, no other description. When it came out it was really spicy, too spicy. And we weren't expecting it to be spicy at all since it wasn't even mentioned. We were going to to send it back and we spoke with the manager, and she had the most condescending attitude. She was down right rude. This is our favorite place to eat in Branson! Cajun buffet but the crab legs that are all you can eat are not on the bar...they bring them hot and fresh to your table everytime your ready and they are always fantastic!!! I cannot recommend this restaurant in good conscience. The food here is NOT cooked well. I ordered a sirloin (medium rare), a baked potato and red beans and rice. The steak came almost RAW...literally squishy and bright red inside. The baked potato was over cooked to the point where the skin was crunchy and I couldn't even scrape the hard potato away from the skin. I asked if I could exchange the steak for something else, like a chicken breast and they WERE accommodating about that but the chicken breast they brought was over cooked and very chewy. . They comped my meal, which was good (and they should) but as we paid for my husband's meal at the front and were leaving the cashier asked how everything was. When we politely told her what had happened, she DID NOT SAY ONE WORD. ??? If you don't want to hear the truth about how the food was why did you ask?!? We went in and sat down to be informed that the crab legs, frog legs, and mud bugs were no longer on the buffet. We ate here before at a different location. This was the first time at this location for the breakfast buffet. It was also better before. This time it was only mediocre. The gravy for the biscuits and gravy tasted like it came out of a can. Not much flavor. The scrambled eggs were runny. The wait staff was indifferent. My wife as for some toast and she had to ask for it twice and it came out burned. The pancakes were luke warm and the hot syrup was cold. I asked the owner about this and he said the burner was out and would be fixed next week. I asked why they didn't heat it in the kitchen in a pan of hot water and he just ignored the suggestion. I just went there tonight with my Wife & Father in law & Mother in law... I haven't been to Branson since I was a kid but have enjoyed it thoroughly until we all went to Starvin Marvins. My Mother in law & I got the buffet & my Wife & her dad ordered off the menu. It was going good until I grabbed some crawfish & soon realized it was overcooked & I told the waitress about it & she didn't do anything about it & when we went to pay the ticket I told the cashier that the crawfish was overcooked & all I got was a hmmm well I'm sorry... My father in laws chicken fried steak was tough also. I WILL NOT RECOMMEND GOING HERE NOR WILL I BE BACK. I don't expect a lot from a place when I tell them about an "issue" with their food but when I don't get even the simplest visit from the manager at the facility at the time asking me the problem that's when it's a issue for me & when I lose respect for the facility. This is a great place to eat especially in Branson. A lot of times, restaurants claim to be "best in town" in tourist cities such as Branson. But not here. The buffet offers great food. It's only $11 a person and includes everything from salads to fried fish and blackberry cobbler to pasta. Super good food, friendly service, and fast! read more

Absolutely, positively, the WORST restaurant food I've ever eaten (and I'm in my 50's). What a total waste of money. They encourage you to buy the buffet, but I ordered off the menu because I was in the mood for some food with some zest. So, I ordered the Cajun Alfredo Fettuccine with shrimp. It was the most bland fettuccine I've ever tasted. It looked/tasted like a gravy you'd get at with biscuits for breakfast, but much blander. My wife got the buffet (without crab legs) and it was horrible as well. The shrimp was extremely soggy and the frog legs were as bland as bland gets. So my family and I visited this place to eat dinner before a show which was our first mistake, the second was when we all got the buffett. There was only one table for the buffett and the cooks could hardly keep the 5 main items filled so the line is always. The food has hardly any taste what soever. When we got the check we were very shocked by the total of $130! Each person cost $20!! I don't have a problem paying that much for good food but this wasn't even close to being good.
