First of all, our bartender was Chandler, who provided perfect service during our visit. Efficient service along with awesome personality. We recognized him from a stop from the night before at his other bar gig. The HH deals were great ($5 wine and beer and food specials), and his drinks were fantastic. I hope he is behind the bar when you go here. I really liked the crab dip. Plenty of bread, and tasty dip. I enjoyed my burger, as I had heard it was a go-to. It makes an appearance on my favorite burger list. Solid, and I would recommend. The wife had the Caesar, which was not as good, but tough to compare the salad with my burger. This place is the restaurant of the Dream Hotel, and the atmosphere was great, and the location is obviously in a great area. We had a wonderful dinner at Stateside Kitchen. From the moment we were seated, our every need was attended to. Jess, our server, recommended the crab dip and he didn't steer us wrong. A large bowl of melty cheese full of chunks of succulent crabmeat was served with warm bread. When we order an dip, we're usually frustrated because we never seem to get enough of the "dipper" - the crudités, crackers or, in this case, bread. Stateside does their dip right by including two thinly sliced crunchy baguettes. This is a large app that could easily be shared by a table of four. For my entree, I ordered the Jumbo Prawn Pasta. The large bowl of pasta with an almost creamy pesto was served with four large shrimp and a sliced ball of creamy burrata cheese. It was delicious and way too much for me to finish. My husband ordered the pan seared salmon. Served with a surprisingly good parsnip purée and fingerling potatoes, the salmon had a good sear and was moist and flaky. We were stuffed though the dessert menu was very enticing with eggnog crème brûlée and hot toffee pudding among the offerings. There is a cocktail list with a variety of unique libations such as a blackberry margarita (highly recommended) and several fall inspired concoctions. There were a couple of drinks that sounded like they'd make an incredible dessert. Our service was spot on. Even though the restaurant was mostly empty, it was rather loud and I'm sure a crowd would have made it a little more difficult to talk. Considering quality and size of the meals, prices were reasonable. We chose Stateside Kitchen only because it was in our hotel. I would choose it again because everything was terrific. read more

My family thoroughly enjoyed dinner at Stateside Kitchen Saturday before a show at TPAC. The gentleman serving us was attentive and professional without being dry. He inserted the right amount of conversation to engage my family. We started wtih an excellent crab dip app. Warm fresh bread and the crab dip hot, we were almost blocking each other out. Two of us had the burger, one the French Dip, and my wife had Ahi Tuna. All plates were very good. The staff are well-trained, attentive and appreciative of our business. I came here during brunch hours to celebrate a friend's birthday , so we came in with the best intentions to enjoy this establishment. This is the WORST restaurant I have ever been to. The ambiance was fine , they decorated for the holidays . That was the only half decent part of the experience, and that's just for the looks . The actual experience however was TERRIBLE. Having experience as a server i try to be understanding when going out , but listen when I tell you the service was so bad words can't explain .We sat for hours waiting on our server to come back, just to at least (bare minimum) check on us . We literally had to flag 4 different servers for drinks and food. Chilllllleeee talk about pissed . When we finally got food we literally sat for another 45 minutes and all I needed was ketchup and ranch and couldn't get anything because literally NO ONE has come to check on us. My food sat and got cold because I was waiting on service. By the time the food got cold we were over it . I finally see the original server and tried to get her attention. She ignored me , Then other staff said she was busy and they would cash us out and give us boxes , with to go ranch and ketchup just so sad smh. When I got home and warmed my food (in oven) I was even more dissatisfied after tasting it. Id make a better burger using spam . So 3 hours that only consisted of only 2 drinks (that took forever to get to the table) food I didn't enjoy (at home because mind you i patiently tried to wait for condiments to enjoy at the restaurant ) . To be honest it wasn't worth the money I spent (57$ that I shouldn't have paid.) The only reason I kept peace was out of respect for my friends birthday but ,If you have absolutely nothing to do, with no standards , and don't care how the food comes out this is the perfect place . My friend and I came to Stateside Kitchen after running the Nashville half marathon--tired, hungry, and with no reservation and the staff couldn't have been more welcoming. The brunch vibe was on point: upbeat, stylish, and super friendly. They were offering free beer to runners that day, so we each got two beers on the house, which was such a nice surprise! It also happened to be my birthday, and our waitress, Diana, was truly exceptional. She was incredibly attentive, kind, and genuinely made us feel celebrated. She went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. Management even stopped by to check in and make sure we were having a great time, which really added a personal touch. Very creepy vibes. Went there on a weekday afternoon for lunch. Host said he needed my full name or he could not seat me. There were plenty of nice open tables but sat me right next to the only people in there next to the bar. I asked if I can be seated at another table, he said no and walked away. The server was nice and let me move. While eating, another worker stared at me and was pacing back and forth by my table. I've wanted to try this place since I moved here. Came here around 12:15 for lunch. I was out of there by 1. I was seated very quickly and my food was brought very fast too. The decor is great. I love the big skylight, makes it feel very open. The tile work and greenery really brings the place together. The staff was very nice and gave very good recommendations. Birds of paradise cocktail: 3.75/5. Tasty drink. Wish I could taste more of the passionfruit but that's just me. It has some acidity too which I liked. Balanced the sweetness. I technically didn't even order this specific drink. I asked my server what she recommended in the sweet drink realm and she brought me this. Definitely not mad at it. I would probably try something else when I come back just to see what other drinks they have. They have a huge liquor selection so I'm sure you could order off menu as well. Pan seared salmon: 4.75/5. This one surprised me, not gonna lie. I was skeptical about the parsnip purée, but the sweetness of it paired really well with the salmon. The potatoes were pretty good too. Nice and crispy. The salmon could've used some more salt which is why this isn't a 5/5. I still cleaned the plate tho ngl. Delicious! Overall, definitely recommend! If you come during the week it doesn't seem too crowded, but one of the workers told me brunch is packed. Brunch is Fri-Sun, 10-3. I requested "easy over" with rye toast, apple chicken sausage (not in the mood for bacon) & roasted potatoes. The potatoes & jam were the best part of the order. We went on a Sunday with a reservation and tables were definitely full. once checked in for our party of 8, we were taken to our table within minutes. They had someone there playong live music. We were expecting dj vibes but it was still nice to have some music playing. They offer "bottomless" mimosa, frose, and bloody Mary's. You able able to exchange between them. Food came out quick. I had the salmon ceaser and it was one of the best cooked salmon pieces I've never had. They do add a 20% gratuity (which our wawaitress definitely deserved). It was nice to not feel rushed and enjoy the company with good food. They recognized the delays and made it worth our while. This place was a little gem in the Dream Hotel. I forgot to take photos of our appetizers but they were also wonderful. Spinach dip was full of flavor and a nice consistency. Crab dip was surprisingly good, usually they taste fake to me but not this one. Artichoke hearts these were also good but a little difficult to eat as a shared appetizer. I could see this being a good one person dish with something small. Caesar salad was a pretty standard but the croutons were well made. The short rib was the star for me, tender and full of flavor.
