Just had a fabulous meal here! With the beautiful evening weather we sat outside. The inside was beautiful, though! We had the passion fruit lemon drop and a new drink, the spiced hibiscus. Both were really good. Andy, our server, was AWESOME! He gave excellent recommendations for food. We got the blackened salmon, which was cooked perfectly and so were the green beans with it. My wife wanted to come check out the new restaurant that recently opened in EG. So, I made a reservation for 6:45 on a Friday night hoping for a great meal. Once we got there we were told that we would have to wait for a table which could be 10-15 minutes. 30 minutes later, we finally got seated. Then we sat at our table for another 10 minutes before a waitress came over to take our drink order. The my dish was below average the Cajun crab Benedict eggs were over cooked and the crab seemed like the Cajun spices were sprinkled on the crab meat versus mixed in. Went here to celebrate my husband's BD. I made a reservation on their website for 5 PM on Sunday August 2nd for the 3 of us. I had tried calling several times but no one picks up and their recoding to leave a message is so generic and does not state it's Station 16, just says to leave a message. The day of I needed to change our reservation to 5:30 PM instead. I called several times and still no one answering. So I made a second reservation online, and no where did I see where I could cancel the 5 PM one so I wasn't able to. When we arrived the hostess could not find either reservation but was pleasant and found us a table. I explained I made the reservation on their website and I tried calling all day long. She said, "oh we are too busy to answer phones." Our waitress Nicole was wonderful. My daughter wanted crab instead of scallops (she is allergic to scallops) on a dish and she asked her what the extra cost would be. Nicole checked with the kitchen and they told her $20 extra for 2 crab legs which my daughter felt was reasonable so she ordered it. Then about 5 minutes later a manager came by and said, "sorry it's actually going to be $50 extra as we can't just give you crab legs, it has to be the whole crab." These are dungeness crabs not Alaskan King Crabs and felt the price was too high so my daughter was trying to figure out what she could order instead. Then the manager finally decided they could give my daughter the crab that's offered at lunch which is shredded. My daughter was ok with that. Fast forward an hour after dinner my daughter started getting sick, it was obvious she had food poisoning which lasted all night. The next day I called and again no one answered. I just wanted to let them know about the food poisoning from the crab (my hubby and I had eaten everything the same as our daughter except she was the only one who had the crab). I left a message on their generic recording and I did get a call back from an employee who said sorry and they'd pass the message along to a manager and they would call me. It's been 4 days and no call back. As an RN I felt food poisoning is something serious that required an owner or manager to be aware of so it would get looked into. I am concerned about public safety. I did not want to make a post like this, but seeing how a manager or owner have never called me back to address it, I decided to make the public aware. It's a beautiful restaurant, but we won't be back. The owners and managers need to step up and do their jobs. Hire someone to answer the phone, fix your genetic recoding so the public actually know they are leaving a message for Station 16. Call your customer back when a message like this needs to be addressed! Your lucky I have not called OSHA. read more

When she finally came, we told her we needed beverages, and we were forced to wait an additional ten minutes to even get them. We were already done with our meals at that point and ready to go home. I forgot our servers name, maybe Cynthia, but she did not provide us the best service. As a server myself, we were only checked on four times. In addition to that, our water wasn't refilled and we received slow service. I noticed that the flow of the restaurant had slowed down but we weren't assisted as needed. Initially, I gave her grace because this restaurant has given us great quality before. Really enjoyed this little gem. I was visiting from Florida and my cousin took me here. The ambience was very nice. The hostess was extremely pleasant and made sure we got to our table after sitting and having drinks and appetizers at the bar. (Wish I remembered her name). Our waitress was Wafaa (Spell check) and she was really kind and took great care of us. The bar tender suggested the crab cakes and boy did he under sell those, they were delicious and very flavorful. I had the steak and lobster the stake was tooled to perfection and the lobster tail was a lil on the small side for the price. (If not for that they would have gotten 5 stars). We ordered the shrimp cheviche, which comes with tortilla chips as an appetizer. Just enough for 2. I would've taken a picture, but we gobbled it down. The shrimp was juicy and the balance of chili's, tomatoes and onions was on point. We also got the Cajun pasta and lobster roll. The pasta had giant shrimp and sausage. My dining partner said it was very, very good and they have had a lot of cajun type pastas. It was the perfect amount of heat and savory flavor. I had the lobster roll, which comes with beautiful French fries. The lobster roll was on a soft bun and filled with big pieces of lobster. I've had lobster rolls in Maine and this honors those. I also got a Vietnamese coffee and it was decadent. Great service from or guy Andy. He recommended both the pasta and lobster roll. Elk grove finally has a nice dinner house.
