Amazing burgers, awesome fries, and the milkshakes are out of this world. The food reminds me a lot of johnny rockets.

The food was very poor tonight. We ordered a couple cheeseburgers. The burgers were over cooked and cold. We should have went elsewhere. They use to be pretty good but not anymore, we wont be back. read more

Our hostess tried to force us to take someone else's food, then said "can't you just fix it your selves?" The food was great! Once I got it. The food was great but the service sucked!!!!! We ordered shakes and gave up and left. I told the manager the food was great but their service sucked. He never said anything. He did take the shakes off the bill but could have cared less. While we were eating I had said wished we had one of these at home. Absolutely the worst! They messed up my order and refused to replace it. I have my receipt and it had been less than 24 hours when I called. Now the manager is calling my place of business and harassing me and trying to get me fired. All because I complained about them putting mayo on my burger. read more

I would understand the wait time if the restaurant was crowded and/or few employees were working, but there were plenty of people working in the kitchen, plenty of waiters, and enough empty tables to seat us without waiting twenty minutes for a table and then an hour for our food, which was delivered to us mostly cold and without napkins or silverware, which we had to ask for more than once. Even the fries were so loaded with a ridiculous amount of salt that we could not eat them, which is the only food I even wanted for myself. This was my first experience at Steak 'n Shake, but my sisters (whom I was with during this visit) said they have had similar bad experiences. We were twice tempted to get up and leave before receiving our food. We had to pay for our uneaten food, and then we had to eat elsewhere. We will not be dining here again. read more

I have tried to give this place four chances over the past year, and last night was it for me. I will no longer go back to this location ever again. The wait staff is so incredibly slow. We hardly ever get refills, and 3 of the 4 times we went, the place was not packed. The food takes forever to come out and it just all tastes bland and salty. I will spend my money elsewhere. This place used to be great when I lived here 5 years ago, but upon moving back to the area it seems like it went downhill. Such a shame. read more

Love their burgers, fries and milkshake. On the flip side-DONT go through the drive thru- they are the slowest I've ever seen. But going inside is just as bad, the place smells and is always dirty. read more

Service is questionable at times, but the burgers are thin, crispy, and delicious - onion rings are good too. Super cheap as well.

Our server, Hannah, was very nice and the food was good except I prefer the buns they had before. The problem was with the manager, Paul and one of the employess who was supposed to be working in the kitchen. The manager was clueless and kept disappearing, it was obvious the servers were frustrated with their circumstances at work but were doing their best to take care of customers. The employee who was "working" in the kitchen ridiculed one server over her writing bringing the manager over to look at it who told her "in English, you're in America" - the server was Asian. If they couldn't read the writing ok, but it should have been addressed away from customers. The employee was then wallowing on female employees in the kitchen and then he told some of the female servers to "move your a__es". Not sure what he was supposed to be doing but all he appeared to be doing was harrassing other employees. I could never see his name tag. Before we left another customer was checking out and waiting for a bag, the employee was told by the manager to get a bag which he never did then the manager disappears to get the bag never came back, another employee finally brought the lady her bag, our server had to come and check us out, she apologized saying she thought the manager had taken care of us. I feel for the employees who were doing their best to be professional in their jobs but were having to cope with a worthless manager and a slimy lecherous coworker. This store has some good employees but it desperately needs management. We were there during lunch hour and the store was busy, I hope the good employees get the management they deserve, food service is not the easiest work and those that do it well deserve better support than what they are getting in this store. read more
