My son had the traditional Mexican street tacos with Al Pastor which came with rice and beans. I was in the mood for a tamale so I went with the $8 chef's special that consisted of one cheese enchilada and a pork tamale, rice and beans. The food came out fairly quick which was nice. My dish could have been a little warmer. The inside of my enchilada was not melted all the way and my tamale was lukewarm at best. The flavor was on point though. They say they have the best taco Tuesday in town so we will be back to check it out. Definitely worth a try.

Her tea was unsweetened instead of sweet, and when she bit into her chicken mini, she pulled out a long strand of hair from her mouth. At that point, we were completely disgusted and did not continue eating. This is absolutely unacceptable, especially for a brand known for service, accuracy, and cleanliness. Mistakes can happen, but repeated failures with order flow, food safety, and basic customer service should not. We will not be returning to this location unless there is significant improvement, which I highly doubt will happen.

I do have to make one negative comment about the Carpaccio, unfortunately- this was more of a salad on top of five small medallions of carpaccio. Definitely not enough meat. My wife and daughter split the braised short rib and it was delicious. I had the dry aged ribeye with the black truffle butter with the side of the wild mushrooms. It was good, but not great. I also had the Chardonnay mushroom soup. It reminded me of the soup from Sage restaurant that used to be over in Cape Canaveral. A little less creamy, but more mushroomy. If you miss that soup at Sage, this is a good substitute. All in all, we enjoyed our visit.

The owner of this establishment Ben Grace of vero beach is a narcissist piece of His balls are so tightly gripped by his wife he isn't even a man. Throwing accusations around to every employee, to hiring people who sexually harass other employees he doesn't do the required due diligence he should. From first hand experience watching him be racist, and homophobic person, to degrading his staff members in front of customers, and other staff members because people try to stand up for them selves they are quickly punished and pulled back down by Ben. Probably why his first marriage failed, and customers already know about his ways and personality traits, it won't be long until his business fails, and he takes himself back to vero to explore his next failure. Kiss Steak 'n Shake Viera good bye. They don't rotate food products, clean equipment, use the same dirty rags that fall on the floor to wipe down counters and the tables you sit at. From drug use in the back of the restaurant, to felons who've been recently arrested by the FBI working in the back. It shows the lack of care and professionalism that the owner actually has for this store. He can't even get corporate to fully sign the store over to him because the required improvements never improve. read more

Well it's time Steak 'n Shake learns a lesson for it's mistreatment of it's employees. If you work for Steak 'n Shake and your hours have been cut to under 28 you are eligible for partial unemployment. Does Steak 'n Shake have you work off the clock to avoid getting over 28 hours well then apply for your partial unemployment. Do they threaten to fire you if you are clocked in over 28 hours but yet keep you around to do work well then go get you some partial unemployment. You are entitled to that extra 100-200 a week in unemployment. I do not even work there and it makes me sick to see how there employees are treated from Management and Corporate. If you eat here I seriously think you should stop because this company is anti-american. Let's all boycott Steak 'n Shake and stop eating there while the employees all quit and start there lawsuits. All Steak n Shake workers should document all mistreatment from management and Corporate because Class Action Lawsuit is inevitable with the direction this company is heading. read more

Steak 'n Shake is a classic spot for burgers, fries, and shakes, and today's visit had a calm, low-key ambiance since the dining room was pretty empty. Ordering is fully self-service through the kiosk, and my food and drink came out quickly, which made the experience efficient and hassle-free. That said, the customer service felt minimal. There wasn't an opportunity to speak with anyone beyond my name being called when the order was ready. I prefer at least a quick greeting or a staff member checking in, because even one friendly interaction makes the restaurant feel more welcoming. Overall, it's a good option for a fast meal with a relaxed atmosphere, but the in-person hospitality could be improved. read more

**INITIAL REVIEW**…read more Out of all the restaurants still in business in the Melbourne/Palm Bay area of the Space Coast, the one that has truly lasted the test of time is The Burger Inn. Located on US-1, The Burger Inn is a testament to the city's history as the restaurant was first founded back in 1952. That was a time when Melbourne was the eastern point for cattle herding in Central Florida. US-1 was still a dirt road back then. As a matter of fact, The Burger Inn is one of the five-oldest restaurants still in business in Brevard County. By age, it is the second-youngest (Dixie Crossroads in Titusville, FL is younger while Ashley's, Lone Cabbage Fish Camp, and the Old Fish House Bar & Grille are older). The age The Burger Inn shows is more a testament to its delightfully tacky charm more so than be dated. In short, their age equates to experience and wisdom that still makes them a popular choice amongst restaurant-goers anywhere, both locals and tourists alike. The Burger Inn is located on the eastside of US-1, just a little ways north of the Eau Gallie Art District, but just a little ways south of the Big Orange roadside attraction. Take note that the entrance into The Burger Inn is a "right turn only," so patrons going south will need to turn in at the light before or after The Burger Inn and take the residential roads to it. The Burger Inn, as mentioned earlier, is delightfully tacky in its charm. It has the updated design of a 1960s drive-thru diner with its bright colors of the time. Think of a lot of red and yellow, neon lights, and black-and-white checker floors. If it further helps, think of movies like Grease. The majority of seating is outdoors with stone chairs and tables which were famously used in old-school garden parks of the 1970s with their tile mosaic designs. The seating is shaded and have roll-down canvas covers to block sunlight and wind just in case. The bar area is still intact with all the old-school cookery right in front of you. But take note people were "smaller" back then so if you are bigger or taller person, sitting at the bar will be uncomfortable. This is a burger dive bar so most of your food will be of that preference. But unlike other places, they still place precedence on their classic burgers, sides, and milkshakes. You can truly attest to the rest of their menu if their basics are delicious, and I will say their regular cheeseburger, fries, and shake are more than good, but have that satisfaction from eating a good ole' fast food meal back when such was done with actual care. That doesn't mean The Burger Inn has not kept with the times. They have updated their menu to include present day offerings such as chili-cheese fries, onion rings, mozerella cheese sticks, and much more. Finally on the food, they do have a challenge in which you eat a 10-patty cheeseburger, a large order of chili-cheese fries, and a 32 oz. shake in less than 30 minutes, you will get a free t-shirt and your meal is free. If you fail, you pay $40 for the attempt (which is not bad for a price if you think about it). Actually, everything on their menu is priced decently. A burger is about $5, which is fair given inflation, but worth it when you are eating a wholesome old-fashioned burger. Probably the only Issue worth addressing is the restroom. Remember how I said the bar seems to be made for people at a time when they were smaller. The same goes for the restroom. It is literally only a single unisex room that somehow is smaller than the space in a portable potty. The toilet literally runs under the sink. Talk about a tight squeeze. Despite that minute details, I have never been disappointed eating here at The Burger Inn. They've always been consistent with their food, especially during a time when specialty groups seem to naysay on what we can or cannot eat. Ergo, I am giving them five-out-of-five stars. Definitely give The Burger Inn a chance.
