I never thought I'd be writing a review for a Steak n Shake, but my family had such an awesome experience!! All of my kids finished their food, husband and I enjoyed our burgers!! Best of all, the service was amazing. Elle was SO attentive!! She immediately gave my kids toys and hats, was so helpful throughout the entire experience. I left with such a happy mood and taste! It's very rare to find a restaurant that offers a variety of vegetarian options (especially burgers), but here you can opt for a veggie patty on an any of their specialty burgers. I got a Jalapeño Crunch combo and I was surprised at the friendly service, quality, and FLAVOR. Not only was it yummy, but the fries were hot & crispy and the burger was HUGE...well worth the price. Found this fast food restaurant accidentally as we were actually trying to get elsewhere and making a u-turn when we noticed it and decided to stop for dinner. Honestly, after dining there, I was surprised with the low rating here on yelp. We ordered the bbq & bacon burger (forgot the exact name), the prime white truffle burger, a cup of chilli, and two shakes (peanut butter cup and oreo mint). Both burgers came with fries. The burgers were amazing! We both loved the truffle sauce on the prime burger and hubby also liked the bbq bacon burger that he got. The burger buns were good quality and so were the meat..certainly not McDonalds and the prices were very reasonable, comparable to McDonald's, but the food was more (bigger burger, bigger meat, More toppings) and the quality was so much better. The shakes were ok, we liked the oreo mint more than the pbc. The fries were crispy delicious and they had fries seasoning on the table if you want more flavors. The chilli also had a great flavor, and we asked for onion and they gave us the topping for free. Certainly a great find! And we will definitely dine here again if we're back in the area. read more

This is my first time at a Steak 'n Shake and it definitely won't be my last. Although it was busy, walking in we were able to order pretty quickly on one of the many order screens. And only waited less then 10 min for our food. The smash style burger was really good! Got a side of chili to dump on my cheese fries and I was in heaven. This place is really good. We had passed this restaurant up a few times while on our way to Laughlin. This day we decided to finally stop here and it was not a bad choice what so ever. They have a variety of different combos and their ambiance inside look like a 50's diner inside. We ordered the Frisco Melt combo with cheese fries. The burger was really good and the meat they hand make the patties there and the meat they use I really delicious. If you like nacho cheese I suggest the cheese fries. Also if you love shakes they had make their shakes as well and had a wide variety of different milk shakes. I would return again to this location for sure. Feeling basic for reviewing Steak 'n Shake, BUT hear me out! It's fast, fresh, and comparable to in-n-out, I promise! I usually go with the double steak burger and you can tell they're using better quality meat than most burger places around here. It's fully customizable and you can even order your burger in lettuce vs a bun. Their fries are thin and crispy and I love their pepper oil. They also have delicious milkshakes in a ton of flavors. They're also open at crazy hours, and you won't feel as sick as you would if you went to Taco Bell. read more

As locals, we are always looking for food options in YV and Steak N Shake has been on our to do list. As Z107.7 advertisers - what could go wrong? We ordered at the kiosk. (FYI, kiosk = loss of human jobs which is never a good thing). Placed our to go order that contained some customized burgers as the menu is a bit limited. Restuarant and drive thru were not busy so I am not sure why it took 12 minutes to get our order. Summary upon arriving the 3 minute trip home. One burger had cheese - ordered no cheese (this is super bad) One burger had no pickles - bummed about this No onion rings - knife in my heart Called the number on the receipt. No answer and no option to leave a message. Food was cold and I am not sure how this is a possibility, but pretty awful. Meat - thin, tasteless, visually unappealing and not edible as we couldn't force the burgers down. (My partner threw their burger out after 3 bites and microwaved a hot dog). Condiment on the burger sadly squirted on as an afterthought. Tomato, onion and lettuce - seemed fresh. Pickle - don't know didn't make an appearance. Bacon, thin, strange and salty. Chili - hard to find a positive or negative. Fries were cold. oily and smashed into a beverage cup.
