I wish the place was a bit brighter inside but it is very cozy because it's an older steak house with older decor, I also wish they had a host the day I went. I waited to be seated for a while because all the waiters were busy and I did not know if I could just seat myself as I did not see a sign saying so either. Came here for a birthday celebration and we were able to call and let them to know. They sat us in the back room which was perfect since we had a couple kids. Jordan was our server and shout out to him! He did forget that the potatoes were loaded but for taking 13 orders that was nothing. Food was really good and quick. All our food came out about the same time considering how many orders there were. They even stored our cake in the fridge and provided us with plates for it (thank you so much for that!) We'd been wanting to try out this spot for a while. It's only a mile from the house. So, today, we drove up on around 5:30 - PM. There is plenty of parking since it's in a large strip mall shopping center. Walked in, and got seated almost right away. I ordered the steak and shrimp with vegetables and mashed potatoes as the sides. She ordered the steak and ribs with a baked potato and a salad. We ordered two beers as well. We figured we'd share a bit of everything. The salad was your standard side salad. We got ranch and blue cheese on the side. The croutons were light and airy and well seasoned. The shrimp were nicely battered and breaded. The breading was pleasantly flavorful and light. The shrimp were juicy and flavorful. So the medium rare steak I got was a tiny bit overdone to me. I'd say it was more on the medium side, but that was fine with me. Her medium steak was just right. The steak was nicely flavored, and it was very nicely trimmed. I didn't get any large pieces of fat... in fact, I didn't get any at all other than what's in the meat naturally. The mashed potatoes were legit and not from powder. There were bits of potato in there but they were creamy overall. The vegetables were tender yet snappy. Her baked potato was nice and the sour cream really balanced things out. We saved most of the ribs for later, but they were tasty and nicely done. They didn't overload them with BBQ sauce which was nice. Ambience-wise it was good. The spot had a nice western vibe, and I love the exposed ductwork. There are a few screens that were showing the Dodgers/Royals game, and the Angels/Twins. There were lots of families eating and when we left, the waiting area was full. There is no bar, but they do have beer and wine. I got the 16 oz beer - the big stein would have been too much, but in hindsight, I did end up ordering a second beer. I'll definitely be back. I'd like to try their fish. The price per person was not bad especially for the amount of food you get. The food was nicely done and the servers and front of house were all very nice. Service was a bit slow, but the place had some larger parties in another section, and only 3-4 servers. It was worth the wait. So if it wasn't for the slowish service and my steak not as rare ask I like it, I'd definitely give 5 stars. I'll give them 4.5, but there's no way to do that. So check it out! read more

Ambiance: been here a few times. It's usually empty to lightly busy, never packed. So if you're looking for a quieter place to eat steak this might be for you. Seems like they can't decide if they want to be a steakhouse or be a place you can go catch the game. They have tvs around in weird spots but some times they aren't on. Seems like they don't have an identity yet. It be best for them to make a decision and roll with it. Definitely not upscale though. You'll stand out like a sore thumb if you go dressed up. Service: here's where they truly lack. When your server does come ask for everything you'll need right then and there because they come around scarcely. Needed utensils, condiments, refills, etc. had to ask a separate waitress for service since ours just disappeared to the back. Mind you they weren't busy. 3 other families in our area. If you're going to break, make sure you have someone covering your tables. Or maybe they weren't on break and just hung out in the back. Didn't notice a manager around so who knows what they're doing. But this is by far the biggest area of improvement. Food: food is decent. Salad needed more dressing. As you can see in the pictures attached, definitely felt shorted on my fries. Garlic bread was ok minus the part with the raw butter still on it. Steak was undercooked for what I asked for but no biggie, I'll eat it as long as it's cooked lol steak doesn't have much flavor to it though. Needed to use A1. Generally I like A1 so I don't mind using it but if a steak is seasoned properly you don't use it. Fries were ok. Nothing to write home about. My kids didn't even ask for more and they love fries. Overall: place is ok. A lot of room for improvement, but not terrible. It's in my opinion, not worth the price. It is a little pricey for the quality of service and food you receive. Not a lot of great steakhouses around me so I may be back to give it another shot but no time soon. read more

I've been coming here for years! Their food is always hot, fresh, and delicious! Service is great even when it's busy. The ambiance is definitely a steak house with an old western feel to it. If you're looking for the coldest beer in town, you've definitely found the right spot. The service was not great. When we entered, we had to wait for a whole since there was no workers in the front. When one young employee finally emerged from the back, he was standoffish and didn't maintain any eye contact. Barely spoke. He pointed at a table and left to the back, where he had a long conversation with another employee that we could slightly overhear. We waited for about 10 minutes without being asked for drinks nor an employee checking in on us. When a worker passed by, someone in my party flagged them down and asked for a server, and that's when we got one. As we waited for our drinks, another party came in and they were immediately helped and greeted by the same young employee from before. He was polite and greeted them enthusiastically, and even offered them a booth or a table. Where was that when we entered? When we finally received our food, which took a fairly long time, it was completely bland. Mashed potatoes, the chicken noodle soup, and several entrees were bland and had no flavor. We were excited to come here because a co-worker raved about this place, but it seems you have to fit a certain type of group for good food and service. First and last time coming here. It's a steak place. Very dated. Looks like 1985. I like the chili bean soup and dry bread sticks. The pepper steak is my go to because it's unique. Me, my wife and family have been coming here for many years. We believe this is one of the best places to have a good meal, a good steak. Of coarse someone will always have a complaint about one thing or another at any restaurant. Things aren't perfect every time we go but it's a good place for us. 90 times out of a hundred we will enjoy being here. Things happen at different times of the year for what ever reason and we know they do their best to help. Sure, they have new hires and they make mistakes but that happens everywhere.
