Great little Italian joint and I love their variety of pizzas! If an Italian from Napoli says Stefano's jalapeño pepperoni pizza isn't real pizza, then too bad for them. And don't miss out on the spaghetti either!

I don't really like to give an "ok" to a place, since what can be worse than mediocrity? However, the only thing I loved about it was its location - come here at sunset, and you'll have a great view! (and there is outside seating) Four of us had different things for dinner (and none of it was pizza), and the food was good, but nothing impressive or extraordinary at all. Be aware of smaller portions (more of European size), concise menu, and for some reason pretentious waiters. The place got quite busy by 6 o'clock on a Saturday, but what do you expect if it's located in such a prime location as the new Santa Monica Mall? My honest opinion - try something else. Alas!

The service is quick and efficient! My pepperoni and mushrooms slice came quickly and warm!

They have metal tables and chairs with loud speakers blasting music that echoes throughout the space. Add in loud crowds and kids dropping utensils, and it makes the whole environment pretty unpleasant. As for the food, we ordered the garlic knots, a croissant, the hanger steak, the peach and hot honey pizza, and the wood-fired vanilla bean pound cake for dessert. We covered a good amount of their key items. The main takeaway is that while everything is cooked well, but the dishes really lack flavor. I dine out to get flavors that are not easily made at home, and unfortunately, I did not find them here. The food lacks depth, and frankly, it needs salt to make it stand out. The pizza dough is actually really well prepped, easily as good as Pizzeria Sei, which is the best pizza place in LA, period. But again, it just lacks flavor. Also, as a small side note, there is a 4% employee health insurance surcharge added to the final bill. I probably just missed it listed on the menu somewhere, but oh well. Overall, it is a decent place, but I would not go out of my way to come back here.

We landed on the back patio, which is the move -- string lights, trees, really cute. Your other options are a few tables out restaurant-side or a boxed-in area on the street side. Just know it's all outside, and even with heaters around it gets chilly at night. We came for the pizza and that's exactly where the focus should stay: * Cacio e pepe pizza: Surprisingly delicious. Not a 1-1 with the pasta you're familiar with, but still really good and worth ordering. * Diavola: Spicy and always my favorite. * Margherita: Classic and solid, always worth having. * Rigatoni with pink vodka sauce: Server's rec for most popular sauce, and it delivered. * Little gem salad: Super herbaceous and delicious. * Arancini: Skip it. Middling for the price point... put that money toward another pizza. Pizzas and pastas run $25-29. FYI there's a 3% Healthy LA fee on your bill. Payment is handled tableside on a touchpad (card, Apple Pay, etc.). Vibe is cute, service was helpful, and I'd definitely return to lean even harder into the pizza menu. I had no idea it even existed since the front seating gets all the attention, but the patio feels like a little oasis--quiet, charming, and perfect for a relaxed lunch break. Great food, great value, and an unexpectedly lovely atmosphere. Definitely adding this to my regular rotation.

My first time trying it and even if you hate lima beans (these are similar in shape but so much nicer), you will crave this creamy, savory dish. I'm still salivating over the Caesar salad with white anchovies; don't be discouraged just because anchovies have a bad rap for being fishy. The white ones are vinegar-y and fresh and they use bread crumbs instead of croutons. I love the addition of the slightly bitter but crunchy radicchio. For the main, we shared the guanciale white pizza (no tomato sauce) and the crust is thin and bubbly like you would get in Naples. And for dessert, we chose the Basque-like cheesecake with sour cherry compote. Hubby and I don't drink alcohol anymore so there are three mocktail choices along with a zero-proof IPA that's very hoppy. I chose the hibiscus mocktail and it was perfectly icey, tart and fragrant. Honestly the best meal I've had in a long while and the prices are affordable and ideal for a first date or a business meeting.

Hostess Dani (female) is a terrible representative for this beautiful restaurant…read more I had bookmarked this restaurant & when I happened to pass this area, we dropped in at 515 pm without a reservation. Since it was still early and a Monday, the restaurant was empty. The first person we encountered was the female hostess Danni. I was happy to try the place out finally but unfortunately she started the experience terribly. Danni stared at my daughter and me when we walked up. No fake smile, nothing. She looked sour and annoyed. Definitely not welcoming or gracious whatsoever. She asked if we had a reservation. Told her no. I ignored her demeanor at that point. Another female employee was standing next to her. Danni turned her back to us to whisper to her. It was odd and awkward. Bad vibes. The other woman walked us to the back of the restaurant and seated us inside, at a table by an open exterior door directly in the sun and close to the sidewalk. I asked if we could be seated elsewhere & the young lady said, "I was told to seat you here." I asked her to ask if we could sit elsewhere since the entire large restaurant and patio were completely open and it was only 5:15 on a Monday. Only after I raised these points did the girl finally say she'd ask Danni. We stood there while she walked back, she and Danni talked, they looked at us for awhile and the girl came back to finally seat us elsewhere. Our waiter was wonderful and the meatballs were deliciously unique so I gave two stars for them. My daughter and I ordered the lemon pasta, two orders of the meatballs, salad and carbonara. The whole experience was ruined by how it started so unpleasantly, making us feel very unwelcome for some inexplicable reason. The entire time we were there, only a couple of parties had come in to dine. The majority of tables were available throughout the entire time. The unpleasant interaction with Danni made me feel really uncomfortable and it was hard to relax and enjoy the dinner. At the end of the dinner, I asked a female employee for the hostess' name and rather than giving me her name, she said she'd go get her. I watched her walk to the hostess, they both talked, looked at us and the hostess stood there staring at me. I approached her and asked her to chat if she had a minute. I did not want to resort to writing a review without giving her a chance first. I told her the way she started our dinner was really distasteful and I wanted her to be aware how her behavior makes customers feel and colors their experience at the restaurant. I tried to discuss it with her but saw that her attitude was not going to change. Super disappointing. I hope others don't experience this and I don't understand why she behaved this way. Complete waste of my time and money. I unfortunately cannot recommend this place based on my experience.
