From start to finish, I had a great experience with Stephens. I reached out via Yelp to get an inspection and estimate for a broken heater in my home. The inspectors showed up the very next day, and they were very forthcoming that my heater needed to be fully replaced and that repairs would just be a money pit. They gave me an estimate that was lower than other vendors. I was able to book a day for them to come out and replace the heater within just a couple days. The day of the installation, Freddie and Eric showed up promptly and worked quickly, efficiently and in a very clean way. They explained each step of the process and kept the work area very tidy. They were done quickly and spent time making sure everything was fully functional. During the process I was regularly in touch with the office. I can pretty confidently say that Stephens is my go-to for HVAC needs (I haven't needed plumbing support). Oscar came out to look at my furnace a couple of months ago, and saved me a bunch of money. Another company had recommended I get a new furnace, so I had called Stephens for a second opinion. When inspecting it, Oscar thought the issue was fixable. He could describe to me what my furnace was trying to do and accurately predicted what it would do next. He ended up replacing a part and it fixed my furnace! He told me I could replace the furnace itself ($$$), but really didn't need to - it works, and he's seen ones in worse shape than mine continuing to run well. He gave me some tips to ensure it continues to run well, answered all my questions, didn't pressure me to buy anything, and just all around seemed like a really knowledgeable guy. I called Stephens again, yesterday, since one of my bathroom fans was running, but it wasn't sucking any moisture out. Oscar came out again, inspected, and essentially cleaned my fan :facepalm:, again telling me it was still running pretty well, explained my options if I did want to replace it, but didn't pressure me into buying anything new. Definitely recommend Stephens, they've been able to get someone to my place quickly, Oscar has always come with booties (I have a "no shoes inside" home, so this is huge), super respectful and knowledgeable. Third updated review. I just love this company. Oscar came out to inspect a crushed duct and to apply some sealant on a unit. He came out, applied the sealant, checked out the duct, and then even removed some blockage on another vent while he was here. Oscar is always so nice when he gets here, even had a great fun conversation with my kids. I also really like that Ryan is so responsive to emails, not every company will operate that way. I had a VERY DISAPPOINTING experience with Stephen's Plumbing. They were late for our scheduled appointment, which already started things off POORLY and showed a LACK OF RESPECT for customers' time. After the visit, I was told I would receive a quote, but I had to call FOUR DAYS in a row just to follow up. Each time there was NO UPDATE OR COMMUNICATION. What's even more frustrating is that the quote was only prepared while I was on the phone with them after repeatedly calling. This level of DISORGANIZATION and LACK OF FOLLOW-THROUGH is EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL. They clearly don't respect your time and expect customers to do all the follow-up themselves. Good communication and reliability are the BARE MINIMUM for a service business, and unfortunately this company FAILED on both. Based on this experience, I will never consider using them. Oscar came out the day after I yelp requested (at night). The company set up an appointment quickly around 8am and was flexible with my schedule. They offered multiple windows and I chose the one best suited for me. They called 30 min prior to arrival. Oscar was nice, efficient, and helpful! When my walls were opened up in the ceiling and exposed pipes, they were found later by another company not to be water pipes, but to be air ducks. Poncho was very punctual, polite, professional, an expert in his field, and knows how to explain technical information to his customers in a way that they will understand. He comes with 30+ years of experience in the field, so he knows what he is talking about. My wife and I were very pleased with his visit, the valuable information he had to share regarding he estimate, the equipment, warranty information, installation, and unique considerations specific to our home and lifestyle. Another small tidbit is respect for our home. He already came equipped with booties and every time he entered our home (he went in and out a couple of time), booties came on over his shoes. I have had other contractors (from other companies for other projects) just use booties outside, get them soiled and continually enter my home or just wear their dirty shoes/boots in my home and walk all the place. They showed up to repair my broken water main. Repairman left to go to the office to get some supplies and get me a price. Never heard from him again. By the time I got hold of another repairman at Stephan's it was after hours and he wanted to charge me emergency charges, and of course he didn't know what those charges were. The first repairman was evidently blaming me for not approving the estimate... that I never got! I'm going without water for a night at which point I'll hire someone else. Bad communications on their part, not mine. I called multiple times and just got their service. Good luck if you use them. Edit: my 1 star somehow turned to a 5 star?! I checked that the water main was turned all of the way off and it wasn't! This caused all of the additional problems. While I turned the main 90 degrees, that doesn't turn it all of the way off (I didn't know that). If the "professional' plumber had checked it most of the problem would have been much simpler. read more

After a different company quoted us several thousand for some work mid-job that left us without a toilet and with a hole in the floor, Nick came out and quoted us a fraction of the price and assured us he could get it done without immediately doing the more invasive work suggested by the other plumber - while letting us know that we would eventually have to do the bigger job. He came in, installed two new toilets and bidets, it all works perfectly. A warm toilet seat is the most underrated thing I didn't know I needed. Everything was left neat and impeccably clean. You can tell they take pride in their work. We had a small glitch after the fact, and they came back and fixed it for us asap. The prices are very fair, and the work is well done. This was my first time using Stephen's plumbing , I have used them to install a new air conditioner a few years back (They were great ) so I decided to call them for plumbing . They sent out Miguel today to fix my plugged up shower. Miguel was very professional and knowledgeable. He went right in and started working snaking the pugged drain, after a while he told me he was going to go on the roof and do it from there . When he came down he told me He was able to unplug the pipe. Miguel worked really hard and stayed at it till it was fixed . He cleaned up the shower and left no mess for me . For all the work he did it was very affordable. First, I want to commend whoever sends out the adorable thank you cards. Receiving an "old fashioned" thank you card from a business is a classy move, and because of it, I had easy access for an emergency water leak. I called in because the city warned me that we had a constant stream of water since Oct 10. Williams from Stephens came out the same day, and once he crawled under the house, he reported a small pond growing under my kitchen. Williams said he would need to come back with a water proof suit to get closer to the source. Williams returned the next day with Robert and the two of them investigated my tricky Floorplan until they found the culprit. Williams and Robert were very respectful of my home. They didn't leave any evidence of crawling in mud when they came back up from the crawl space. Now, we're in the position of trying to figure out how to repipe my bathroom, but I would highly suggest Stephens now for both plumbing and HVAC needs. read more
