We stopped in here since we got to the airport early, and it was a great choice. Service was quick and our server was super friendly. This spot has been my "go to" for the past 5 years. The staff is excellent and most have been there since I started going. The food comes out quickly even when busy. I've never had a bad meal. My favorite is the Caesar Salad with grilled Mahi Mahi. It's seat yourself and the staff offers to avoid the bar code ordering if you prefer which I do. Service was ok, not overly friendly, but fast and they checked in frequently as drinks emptied. You'll get a beer for a painful $14 plus tip, but I guess that's a regular price for it at airports. The mixed drinks and food menu don't even show the prices, so you know it's pricey. The napkins they put under your beer immediately disintegrate and leave a mushy mess on the bar. Just get some coasters! For food you're better off going next door to a well-known burger joint. The food arrived about 10 minutes later, but still plenty of time to enjoy it before I had to run. Not the best pulled pork tacos I've ever had, but certainly edible and enjoyable. Their service allowed paying through my phone which made turnaround even faster. Located inside the Honolulu International Airport, you can't expect much. I read the reviews which mainly has either 1 or 4 stars in the last year. So I figure I'll give it a try and write my own review. You walk in and seat yourself. The waiter right away noticed and greeted me. When I sat down he was ready with the menu and utensils even though it was a little busy. He checked back a few minutes later, perfect timing. When he brought my crispy chicken Caesar I was ohh that does look 1 star in appearance. I love Romain hearts but where there is more vivid green leaves then whitish yellow ribs. The chicken wasn't a fillet but popcorn chicken, eww. (Looks and little green leaves is the reason for the minus 1 star) And then I ate the chicken and dipped into the dressing and my (mental) frown was turned upside down!! It was actually really good!! Plus they had chopsticks for my salad. Service was awesome and just makes the food taste better. He was slamming with customers during the lunch rush, constantly moving, but he still did a check in on me to make sure I didn't need anything else. Dropped in here while on a layover. I agree with others that it's one of the best places in the airport to relax while waiting for another flight if you don't have the privilege of waiting in an airline or credit card lounge. It's quieter in the area that looks like a patio outside of the main part of the restaurant. You can also easily look outside the windows that way, too. The food is overpriced and just okay--nothing special. I had a pulled pork sandwich with fries (at least it was better than yet another burger), and my wife had the blackened mahi mahi tacos, which were not spicy at all, but they were edible. Service was quick and friendly, so you shouldn't have much problem eating here and making your flight if there's no wait to get in and you have even 45 minutes to spare. All in all, I would consider stopping off here again and trying something else from the menu if I had a layover in this terminal, sufficient time, and no lounge with food to go hang out in (which is most of the time for me). :o) read more
