Pancakes

We came here for breakfast. It was an early morning so it wasn't that busy. Which is great! Our waitress got us seated and served right away. We shared whole wheat toast, bacon and pancakes. The ambiance was okay it's an airport dining area. So it was okay. You can also use the QR code for you to order your meals. But we chose to have the waitress. It mashed it more personable.

4th star for the comaradarrie oppotunity. It's an establishment in the airport. What can I say? I was impressed though with their friend noodles. Tasted good (very little if any MSG) and the spring rolls were pretty tasty as well. Side bar- didn't have any burger there but I saw a burger order pass our table and it looked pretty darn good If you find yourself in the HNL and you are meeting folk or hungry; then you want to stop in at Stinger Ray's Located in the concourse between Terminal 1 and on the way to Terminal 2. If you pass Starbucks' you've gone too far

Crispy Chicken BLT

I stopped by Stinger Ray's for a quick lunch before boarding my flight. I got the Crispy Chicken BLT. The service was pretty quick when I ordered, but I did sit down around 10:30a. It did start to get a little more crowded when I was leaving. The sandwich was great! The chicken wasn't oily or dry and the fries were nice and crispy. Stinger Ray's is a nice place for a quick meal before a flight.

Kalua Pig Nachos

We stopped in here since we got to the airport early, and it was a great choice. Service was quick and our server was super friendly. The food was good-- I got the Kalua Pig Nachos (just an appetizer) but they gave a lot! Really tasty. I'd definitely eat here again and recommend giving it a try.

The best thing they have is the Kalbi Short Ribs. Basically a Hawaiian plate lunch. It was pretty good.

The best thing they have is the Kalbi Short Ribs. Basically a Hawaiian plate lunch. It was pretty good. The Fried Noodles were flavorless. The Blue Moon beer tasted stale because they need to clean the lines.

Nice to see Terry K.

We received good and fast service here. The dishes are okay compared to all the airport restaurants I have tried before. We have the last table near the entrance. But the other part of the dining room looks very comfortable. I enjoyed my lunch here.

We had a long layover so we decided to get some lunch. We were able to sit anywhere, service very nice. Cute ambiance for Christmas, clean. Wait wasn't too long, big portion for the Kalbi. Food was yummy, but definitely paying Hawaii airport food pricey. Kalbi was 29.99, Mac salad good.

What's up Yelpies You and I know what to expect from airport food at least until you eat here. The service was great and the food was absolutely delicious. If you just landed and are not sure what to eat then stop off here and you won't be disappointed.

Kau'i N.

We needed to buy time, we landed about 2 hours before our son. We decided to eat here while we wait for him. Food: we had a sandwich, poke nachos and French fries. The food is pretty good, just ridiculously priced but we were not surprised- it's the airport Ambiance- it's pretty loud and busy. It's conveniently placed for people traveling and wanting a quick meal.

When you're at the airport, and just waiting for a flight, you want service to be quick and they delivered. This is a great flight to just grab a bite and drink while waiting.

Spicy Poke Nachos, Shishito peppers, and island Caesar.
Cyanne B.

Usually food in airport is overpriced. However, Stinger Ray's provided huge serving sizes for their portions. I ordered the poke nachos, the Caesar salad with mahi, and shishito peppers. We came during the afternoon and found Joann the waitress to be wonderful, and very attentive. Will definitely come back when flying thru.

Aloha Hop Lei IPA
Val S.

Service was ok, not overly friendly, but fast and they checked in frequently as drinks emptied. You'll get a beer for a painful $14 plus tip, but I guess that's a regular price for it at airports. The mixed drinks and food menu don't even show the prices, so you know it's pricey. The napkins they put under your beer immediately disintegrate and leave a mushy mess on the bar. Just get some coasters! For food you're better off going next door to a well-known burger joint. And for a more fun bar experience, go to the little pop-up one by gate A7 in the newer terminal part.

Their menu.
Will L.

I arrived in Terminal 1 and had about 25 minutes after arriving before my connecting flight started boarding. I asked the host at the entrance if their service was fast, and he said, "absolutely, very fast." I was starving, so took the chance. I ordered a 20 oz. beer--they didn't have much in the way of smaller options, which was annoying--and their 3 kalua pork tacos. The beer arrived instantly. The food arrived about 10 minutes later, but still plenty of time to enjoy it before I had to run. Not the best pulled pork tacos I've ever had, but certainly edible and enjoyable. Their service allowed paying through my phone which made turnaround even faster. So, if you're in Terminal 1 of the HNL airport, are hungry or thirsty, and have only a limited window to grab something, consider Stinger Ray's.

It was our first time dining here last night (7/11) and what a gem of a restaurant! Chris was our…read moreserver and let us know the specials of the day. He described everything with such care that it was hard not to order everything! I'd highly recommend a reservation as there was not an empty table the entire two hours we were there. The restaurant is on the smaller side so it can get quite loud but our table had great conversations and a overall lovely time. Appetizer: We ordered the konpachi hush puppies (apologies, they had a nicer name but this is how they were described to us) and they were delicious! I'm not a lover of fish, but these were so flavorful and the sauce paired perfectly with it. Drinks: I had the meringue di cedri to drink and it was akin to a lemon drop (10/10) it was sippable and lasted my whole meal. Husband had the Hana Koa Rice Breaker, which is one of his favorites as its smooth and pairs well with honestly anything. Entree: You will be missing out if you don't get the lemon risotto. I ordered it with the prosciutto and it may be one of the best meals I've had in Hawaii. The zucchini is done two ways in it: diced to be mixed in with the risotto and thinly sliced and grilled on top of the risotto. The panko crumbs on top really solidified the plate for me as top tier as risotto can get to be boring to eat after a few bites as they can lack texture, but not this risotto! Every bite was a journey and it was a very filling meal. My husband ordered the Korean steak and said it was better than some of the local steakhouses we had gone to. Our friend ordered the spaghetti carbonara and enjoyed it as well. Dessert: We were encouraged to try the Rocky Road ice cream and decided it was a must have when you visit. It was creamy, rich and delectable. We also opted to try the dessert special of the evening which was a Lilikoi cheesecake with a chocolate mousse. The cheesecake had a sour tang to it and the chocolate mousse partner with it to balance it out so it wasn't overly sweet. We loved it and I know in a few days we'll be craving this meal all over again!

France meets Italy - meets Hawaii. I'm still dreaming of this. The burger features a thick, juicy, 8-ounce grass-fed patty made from a custom house-selected blend of short rib, chuck roast, and brisket. Get it with the crispy potatoes. You will thank me. Risotto on point. Luxuriously rich, creamy texture. The rice retains a slight al dente bite in the center, giving it structure rather than letting it become mushy. Prosciutto adds a perfect salty, savory crunch to break up the rich risotto. The only misstep was the fries served with the quinoa burger. They were chalky, served at room temperature, limp, and underseasoned. Excellent friendly informal service. Park at the municipal parking on Bethel St just 1/2 block away. Happy Eating!!

From start to finish, the experience was amazing. Everything tasted great, and the student who served us made us feel very comfortable. They checked in often to see how the food was and whether we needed drink refills. The service was truly five-star. We loved every dish, especially because the flavors were well balanced and never overpowering. The blueberry scones were not too sweet and paired perfectly with the cream cheese. The salad starter was fresh, and the phyllo was crunchy and flavorful on its own. The crab was delicious and well prepared. For the main course, I had the pork loin with apricot and prune. The sweet and savory flavors worked beautifully together, and the meat was perfectly cooked and not dry at all. For dessert, I ordered the Pots de Crème au Chocolate. It was rich and indulgent without being overly sweet -- the perfect ending to the meal. Overall, this was a five-star experience, and I will definitely be booking another reservation again.

I could choose what I want to eat and I could go back for seconds if I want lol. Our waiter was great, he changed our silverware and topped off our drinks without us asking. Was perfect timing, hungry, never eat breakfast. Felt bad cuz was kind of parking right in front his food truck, felt like I was blocking, so we checked it out. Found out they was previously located on Cartwright Road in Waikiki between Paoakalani and Kapahulu, right by job, and I never bothered. I find it so coincidental to come across it in the boonies of kalihi lol Any way, no can go wrong with Wagyu. Not much choices, simple menu, but I ended up ordering a mini number 1, regular steak plate, and the wife ordered the number 4. I would say, was not bad. Like any other fast food steak joint like Blazin steaks. Did its job, fed the belly to make happy opu. Oh yeah, we ended up smashing right outside the truck, there's a cute little utility shelf with couple bar stools around for table. Made ourselves comfortable, and smashed. Yeah, was not bad. The reason why missing a star is cuz the wife said she paid, gave the money, I guess he got busy and must've forgot, but she was waiting for her change, and he never gave it. She even put a $10 bill in his tip jar, and even while we were outside of his truck eating, no change. But all good. Was only small change anyway, but still. Anyway, if u hungry for steak in the kalihi area, and like eat something else besides McDonald's sand island and Alicia's, check em out. Looks like they open from 8AM to 2PM M-F, 9-2 on Saturday and closed Sundays.

Don't drive too fast or you could miss it, but there's a sign on right side saying Pearl Country Club to turn into their private driveway. Free parking is plentiful and you can either enter from porte cochere or by the white vinyl fencing which is the way we enter- there's ADA parking stalls and then we walk along the pathway next to building til you get to their lanai. The view is spectacular of Pearl Harbor and greens. We love sitting on the lanai and its seat-yourself so a server will come out to give menus. The place has been bought so a complete renovation with lovely new chairs, tables, couches, even a fire pit! Inside there are TVs abound and a nice full bar with 10 seats and TV. The breakfast menu is pretty darn good and hats off to their chef! It's healthy, delicious, nice portions! We love the $17 fish breakfast with a nice piece of salmon, rice, two eggs and fruit garnish. Perfectly prepared each time! My daughter and I also enjoy the omelette which has choices of meats, veggies so we always get the vegetarian one and boy is it fat and ono! Comes with rice, potatoes or toast. What's also special is their complimentary cornbread per guest - each of us receive our own plate of two squares with butter and jelly. Service is always excellent! You'll be lucky to have either Annie, Nette or Jazlyn - Annie and Nette been there for a long time and made the switch to those newfangled-techie-handheld computers - they take our order with such grace that I'm proud of them lol Jazlyn is very sweet too and takes care of us old folks like we were her own parents. Our 2-year old granddaughter enjoys eating there too and looks forward to seeing Annie, Nette and now Jazlyn! They bring two new crayons and a cute picture of dinosaurs golfing to keep her occupied while us grownups chat. Usually not very busy if you go before the first round of golfers pau. Bathrooms are right around the corner - no stairs to access. Their pro shop is upstairs if you care to check it out. The only thing I wish they had is papaya. They do have a nice little fruit cup for $5 chock full of strawberries, cantaloupe, honeydew melon, and grapes. They are having an Easter Brunch on April 20 with an extensive buffet (posted pic of menu) for $75 adults, $45 for ages 4-12 and free for kids 3 and under. This is our first time attending so will be back with a review.
