Took the team out for Team Building. Overall what a wonderful experience. The food & service was excellent. We were there about 12:30pm on a Tuesday. It was so chill & such beautiful decor. I can't wait to return. Pros: - great food & service - such beautiful decor - bathrooms clean & spacious Cons: - maybe parking

Overall good experience. First time at this particular location. Greeting staff is nice along with waiters. Came for an early birthday dinner and saw online they had happy hour. Upon arrive for dinner reservations at 5:30p we were unaware we could order happy hour from our dinner table so we had to sit outside dinning (or bar which was full) to order off the happy hour then close out our table and head back to the front to be seated for our dinner reservations. I understand s they don't want people talking up dinner table just to order happy hour and leave having a smaller bill but maybe gauge the guest and allow it for dinner reservation guest in the feature as this made the dinner reservations feel very off And not at a fine dining restaurant like expected. For that reason we won't be back. Happy hour items a must: Lil brg & fries Wagyu tacos Not again: Wagyu meatballs (personal preference on taste) Margarita (way to sweet) Dinner items must: 14oz Ribeye (10 out of 10) chef style Wagyu fried rice (9 out of 10) Bacon Mac n cheese (9 out of 10)

Genesis was our server and she was really great. We enjoyed food from the happy hour menu and a complimentary dessert. Great experience and can't wait to come back!

I went with a group of 6 around 5pm on a Saturday without a reservation. We were seated outside for happy hour. Cocktails were $9 and bites ranged between $3-$9. I really enjoyed my STK Mule. We ordered oysters, the tots, tuna tartar tacos, lil burger with truffle fries and calamari. Our server was great and friendly. The food tasted great. I was surprised by the tots, they are not your typical tots. Near the restrooms is a complimentary video booth which was fun to do.

It's complicated. Did I like the food? Yes. Was the service friendly and attentive? Yes. So why wasn't I totally thrilled? Because even though I thoroughly enjoyed a top-notch cut of beef (10 oz. New York), accompanied by yummy fries and perfectly al dente asparagus with a citrus accent, the price was awfully high. Despite the quality of food and service (both excellent) I didn't think the price was entirely justified. I paid $176.94 for the above meal, including a nice glass of Oregon pinot noir, and a 22% tip for Craig, who definitely deserved it. Will I be back? Possibly, with beef-loving guests for a splurge, but STK won't be in my regular rotation. Something else to consider is the hipster vibe. The décor is eye-catching and very well done. Good use of neon. The soundscape reminded me of the 1980s Hi-NRG once heard in gay nightclubs. If that's your thing, you'll love it. But if a quiet conversation over dinner is more your speed, this might not be the place. Again, let me stress that everyone I interacted with at STK was delightful and the food was great. I just thought the price point was a bit high, and the ambience potentially a bit much. But if you really don't mind spending a lot of money, and a youthful, energetic vibe suits you, STK might be a good place to splurge.

Came here for the happy hour! I sat on the patio hoping for some quiet to unwind after a long work day with a light bite and a drink. Unfortunately, within minutes, a very "audibly excited" group was seated at the table right next to mine, which killed the zen vibe a bit. I ordered their award-winning Guava Berry Kiss cocktail to start, along with the Crab and Corn Fritters and the Lil' Brg & Truffle Fries. All the food came out fresh and hot. The Lil' Brg was a single, tiny slider--absolutely delicious and really cute, just smaller than I expected! I also found the fritters to be a bit too salty for my taste, but they had great flavor and were packed with real crab. I noticed the Surf and Turf for $19 is no longer on the menu. I wish I got to try it. Overall, a solid spot for happy hour food and drinks, even if the patio wasn't as peaceful as I'd hoped!

I came here with my friend to try there happy hour! It was very affordable, and the food was pretty good as well! We got the STK & Frites, STK Cheeseburger, and short rib quesadilla to share, which felt like a good amount of food for us. The food was delicious - well-cooked and not too salty. My friend also got one of the house cocktails, which she said was good. They also have complimentary blue cheese and butter bread with chive oil! Very nice addition to the meal. The service was great as well, and I enjoyed how they had decorated the interior! The signs, lights, and florals contributed to a nice, elevated vibe!

Recently, I learned that STK offers happy hour daily--Monday to Friday from 2:30 to 6:30, and weekends from 2:30 to 5:30. I came with some friends and we were seated at the outdoor patio. I ordered their award-winning spiced watermelon margarita. We also ordered four appetizers to share and all of them were delicious. My favorite was the $3 crab and corn fritters--I was shocked when my friend told me it was $3 for four pieces. This is a must-order! We also tried their Lil' burger with truffle fries, beef tartare and calamari. Everything was excellent. Our waiter, Michael K., was very attentive. He checked on us periodically to make sure everything was okay. There's no parking in the area, so it's best to Uber or take public transit. I'll definitely be back for happy hour when I'm in the area.

Stopped by for happy hr, & it was perfect. Not just the prices, but the food itself. I enjoyed the oysters, tartare tacos, & my friend ordered the calamari, & popcorn chicken. The Wagyu tacos were ok... it could have been a bit more tender, instead of chewy though. Also, bummed that they didn't have the fritter or the arancini. Owell, next time. Ericka was great!! She was friendly, attentive, & helpful!! Ambiance was so pretty, def insta worthy!! Perfect lighting & decor!! I would rate this a 4.5

We visited on a Saturday afternoon when the restaurant was not very busy at all, with plenty of open tables both inside and outside, so we were surprised by how poor the service and food quality were. Our server took our order fairly quickly, although she couldn't answer some basic questions about the portion sizes of the happy hour specials. Thirty minutes later, she came back to tell us they were out of one of the drinks we had ordered. After waiting even longer, our food arrived first, and our drinks didn't arrive until all of our dishes were already being set on the table. Several items were cold by the time we received them. The Japanese Wagyu in the tacos was cold, overcooked, and far too chewy. For a restaurant that charges premium prices and heavily markets its steak, serving Wagyu in that condition was shocking. We ordered fried rice to share, but no serving spoon was provided. After asking for a serving spoon, a staff member brought us a utensil roll containing only a knife and fork, assured us a spoon was inside, and rushed away before we could point out that it wasn't. The mac and cheese triangles were also underwhelming and tasted and looked more like Kraft mac and cheese than something you'd expect from an upscale steakhouse. To make matters worse, our server informed us that we had been accidentally charged for sparkling water and said she would remove it from the bill. Unfortunately, the charge was never taken off. Because the service had already been so slow and we were rushing to make it to another event, we didn't catch the mistake until after we had paid, leaving us charged an extra $9 for something we never ordered. I also later realized that one of the cocktails was charged at $23 despite being listed at $19 on the happy hour menu. I remember the price specifically because we had discussed why it cost so much more than the other happy hour cocktails and assumed it might be a larger drink meant for sharing. Instead, it came in a tiny glass, and we were charged $4 more than the listed menu price. To make matters even stranger, the receipt listed the drink as "Spring Fever" even though it was listed as "Summer Fever" on the menu. Between the slow service, cold food, disappointing quality, and billing errors, this was a frustrating experience from start to finish.

Honestly, I waited a bit before writing this review because I was so disappointed in my visit. Disappointed in the menu, service, and food. I'll do my best to summarize my experience below. I made a birthday reservation via OpenTable. I called to confirm that the special date night menu would be available because it was such a good deal, and the representative also let me know to take advantage of the happy hour menu. The customer service call went well -- the plan was set. We arrived on time for our indoor reservation and were seated directly in front of an open door. It gets breezy in SF in the evenings, and it definitely was that night, so I asked to be seated at a nearby table instead and received some pushback. I was told things like, "this is the table you reserved," "those other tables are for other reservations," and "we may not be able to seat you somewhere else." It was odd and didn't make much sense. After 20 minutes of standing by our original table, and after speaking to 3-4 different employees, we were eventually seated at a nearby table. I immediately asked for the Special Date Night Menu. Our server said they had to go get it and never came back. A few minutes later, another server arrived, said she'd be taking over and asked what we'd like to order -- so I had to ask again for the special menu. She kindly informed me that because there was a convention in town, the special menu was not available. I then asked for the happy hour menu because I saw they had oysters and the rep suggested I get them and was told I'd have to stand at the bar to order them. Alright, 0 for 2 -- great way to start. We browsed the menu and placed our order, and I stepped aside to speak with the manager about the experience so far. To my surprise, he couldn't have cared less. He said there was nothing he could do to fix the menu issues and that the call center was based in Denver, so it wasn't his fault that the menu details weren't relayed to me correctly. He offered to buy a round of drinks for the table, but we weren't drinking, so that didn't help. He also suggested I sign up for the birthday rewards so next time I could get a $50 discount. Nothing useful there - Alright, back to the table I go. For dinner, we ordered Crispy Brussels Sprouts, Traditional Mac and Cheese, Asparagus, Miso Glazed Chilean Sea Bass, Free Range Chicken and Braised Beef Short Rib. I was very disappointed, to say the least. The chicken was pale and it lacked seasoning. The sea bass was tough and chewy. The braised short ribs were fine -- nothing particularly good or bad to say there. The best things we had were the Brussels sprouts (though they could've gone a little lighter on the glaze) and the Asparagus, which was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The Mac and Cheese was also okay, but very rich. To end the meal, they brought out a slice of cheesecake for the birthday guest, and it was pretty tasty. The graham cracker crust became soggy fairly quickly, but the cheesecake itself was good. Overall, this was a disappointing experience from start to finish, and unfortunately not somewhere I'd return to or recommend.x It's a beautiful restaurant though.

Monday Happy Hour, We made a reservation for two at 4:30 p.m. and happy hour goes until 6:30 p.m.. I love the vibe at STK, fun, classy, and cool. They have so many photo ops too, definitely Graam worthy. For bites we ordered several happy hour items starting with the oysters which were good I really liked the two sauces that came with them, a vinegar sauce and a cocktail sauce. All we needed was Crystal's hot sauce. We also ordered tots and the wagyu meatballs, They were okay, a little dry and needed sauce. Next up we ordered the be ef quesadillas, steak and frites, and popcorn chicken. I enjoyed the quesadillas the most. The popcorn chicken was okay, I think the bbq sauce made them better. The steak was good but the frites had a truffle flavor and I cannot eat that. Our server was friendly and checked on us regularly. The other servers were attentive and made sure our plates were cleared and we had fresh plates and utensils. Anywho, I would like to go back and have the regular dinner menu. Since I've only ever had the happy hour menu items.

Came for happy hour and loved the vibe. The cocktails were yummy, oysters were fresh, and all the small plates came out super flavorful and well presented. Definitely more of a trendy/lounge steakhouse feel, which made it fun for drinks and apps with friends. Service was great too and we didn't wait long for anything. I would come back for happy hour again.

    Yes

Im planning a birthday dinner next month is there any specific attire required?

I think business casual would be appropriate

Is it good for business dinners? What's the noise level?

Peak dinner time gets very loud unless you reserve the back room for more privacy

Depends on time of day. If you go for dinner, get a reservation for family/kids by 6:00. Any later and you'll be dealing with a club scene :)

Which cut of wagyu is used for your stk burger? Where can I find the nutrition and allergen guide?

    Are small dogs allowed outside?

My friend just ate outside with her dog last week

Is this a kid friendly restaurant?

Maybe earlier in the evening, but at night it definitely an adult vibe. I probably wouldn't bring my kids there when they were little (just my thoughts), but the food and atmosphere is really a night out vibe. Good luck!

Is there valet parking? What's the parking situations and where can one park and how far of a walk from the garage parking if available

Parking is not great, but fortunately we found a park about a block away. I believe I may have seen a valet "booth" but it wasn't staffed. I recommend calling to confirm.

We also had the curry chicken croquettes, citrus caesar, confit octopus, and gnocchi - all fantastic. And the drinks - next level. I had the Sam Fernando and it was dangerously drinkable, I had to order a second. My partner's Bird of Paradise bamboozled us with its clarified coconut milk - so wild to drink something CLEAR that tasted so much like a piña colada! Our other two party members had NA drinks that were also nuanced and delicious. I will very eagerly come back whenever I have the opportunity!

A charming little bistro inspired by the Marlowe cows, I'm assuming, managed to stun us with several memorable dishes. The warm deviled eggs were an excellent start. Savory yet delicate enough to not weigh us down right at the beginning of our meal. The horseradish aioli wasn't for me, but I can see its appeal for a certain audience. You give me a Calabrian chili sauce and it's guaranteed to make me happy and this shrimp with sweet corn was no exception. Again, light but a punchy flavor that was enjoyable. I could go on and on about the different dishes we tried but the real standout of the night was the pork tenderloin with chorizo and peaches. The sweetness from the peaches somehow managed to enhance the flavor of the chorizo. This dish gives you a bold, savory and sweet bite all together but still won't have you feeling super heavy. The portion size is perfect. Im hoping to return soon for another exquisite meal.

The menu reads like a greatest hits of comfort food - steak, burger, truffle fries, mac & cheese…read more But there's a recurring theme here: a shocking fear of salt. Filet Mignon is Medium Rare Perfection... Beautiful pink center, warm red ring, crust that had a nice sear. The Bordelaise sauce was rich, slightly sweet, and had that deep red-wine reduction thing going on. But the steak itself had zero salt. The sauce tried its best, but a steak shouldn't need to be drowned to have flavor. M&L Burger. Juicy, But Also... Juicy? That's It. But again: no seasoning. The beef itself was bland. There was a bacon jam or sauce on it that added some smokiness, but when I took a bite without it (just to test), I was met with... nothing. Just wet, unseasoned meat. Parmesan Truffle Fries were legit, crispy, hot, tossed in enough parmesan and truffle. The portion was huge (feeds 2-3 easily). Black Truffle Mac & Cheese. First few bites? Creamy, luxurious, black truffle shavings. But by the fourth or fifth forkful, it got heavy. Missing acid. A little hit of something sour like lemon, would have saved it. Also, the pasta was overcooked. Peaches & Crème Tart was Aggressively sour. The peaches were fine, but the yuzu sauce underneath was so overwhelmingly acidic that it felt like a prank. My face scrunched up like I'd bitten into a live battery. The crème was there somewhere, but it got completely bulldozed. One bite was enough. I left the rest. My dentist would approve. If you do go, order the fries, bring your own salt grinder, and skip the tart unless you enjoy punishment. Service was great btw.

The food was definitely elevated, but not so much that your bulgogi comes in foam form. Banchan: Some free banchan at the beginning of the meal and more (mostly kimchi variants) throughout. All complex and full of flavor. I especially liked the cold tofu at the beginning, so much flavor. Shrimp and Squash Pancake: What was most striking was how little pancake there was in this pancake. The shrimp and squash were dominant, with a tiny bit of binding material to bring it all together and make it crispy. Quite a departure from more generic Korean joints where it's mostly batter with a little bit of filling. Really appreciated this. Savory Egg Soufflé: Loved the pageantry of scooping the delicate egg into a bowl, pouring over the broth and drizzling on the sauce. It really created a lot of layered flavors and textures. I'm normally not a fan of anchovies, but the anchovy broth tasted amazing. Galbi Mandu (add-on): I acknowledge the Prix Fixe House Menu is a lot of food, but I needed to splurge on this add-on since it looked so cool. Sure enough, the delicate lattice between dumplings was really great. Also, the dumplings themselves were fun with thin ground beef lines wrapped in elongated dumplings. Jebi Churi: Beef neck doesn't sound that appealing at first flush. However, understanding that it's a muscle that's just a small fraction of the cow and that it's filled with collagen inside is more intriguing. Seems to be a signature dish here. Was really great with all the different leaves and sauces. I found the sesame leaf the most interesting, somewhat spicy even. The green sauce was the most delicious since I love cilantro. Marinated Grilled Beef Cheeks: Same leaves and sauces leftover from the beef neck. The beef cheeks, in contrast were heavily marinated. So marinated that they stuck to the grill a bit. They also had a less muscular texture, almost reminding me of foie gras texture. Much richer and great in the leaf wraps. Butter Mushrooms: Came between the grilled meats. With the heavy amount of melted button instead the mushroom it kinda reminded me of escargot. Especially since the mushroom tasted nice and meaty. Beef Shank Jeongol with Knife-Cut Wheat Noodle: Loved the rich delicate broth. Remind me of beef pho, but with fewer spices and more attention to the beef bone infused flavor. It starts out without noodles, so you can focus on the tender beef slices, thin enoki mushrooms and various greens. I liked that there was a flavorful dipping sauce separate from the broth. Halfway though they brought out some noodles and more broth. At that point I was getting pretty full, but I just couldn't resist more intense broth and those chewy noodles. Soft Serve Ice Cream: There were two choices and we shared both. The strawberry drizzle on yogurt ice cream was a classic refreshing summery treat. The black sesame huckleberry was notable because of the vibrant and generous huckleberry throughout, especially the cache at the bottom. Omija Spritz: The soju flavor was dominant, not watered down by strawberry despite being so red. More sophisticated that some strawberry soda style cocktail. It surprised me. Fort Point, "Ganada", Korean-Style Lager: Made specifically for San Ho Won, this was indeed the perfect pairing to all the grilled meats. Paired nicely *and* cleansed the palate between bites. Also, liked the nice touch of being served in an ice frosted glass.
