I came here for a drink and apps with a friend. I've been here before but it's been a while. The place has great decor and nicely decorated with a rustic feel. They have a lot of beers on tap and cocktails. The cocktail I had was delicious. One of the best I've had in a while. They had a happy hour so we ordered some food. Loaded potato skins were great they were twice baked. They were very filling. Waitress was friendly and helpful. There is a large parking lot in the back which is helpful in a busy town. I will definitely be back!

Good food, good drinks and good service! We sat outside in the patio area, it was quiet and peaceful. We had a great time!

I found this place when looking for a new brunch spot and was so happy I came across it! I rarely find myself in Glen Rock but will definitely be coming back for this place. It's located in a shopping center, but don't be thrown off- the interior is very trendy! My friends and I each had a mimosa flight and loved them! The three options were all delicious and the perfect portions. It made it very easy for me to decide what I would order next time. I also had the breakfast tostadas and loved them. We will definitely be back!

This was my second time at Stone and Rail. Although I really enjoyed the atmosphere, as well as the location itself; the first time I would say that I was definitely underwhelmed with my meal.. and in short, I knew that I would not return for steak here again... So, when my friend suggested that we come here for lunch, I wasn't even familiar with the name until we pulled up... and open-mindedly gave it another shot. I'm so glad that I did! I did see gluten-free options clearly marked on the menu, but as I was not sure if gluten-free buns were available, I decided to ask. And they were! I'm not sure where they source their bread from, but it was definitely one of the better gluten-free buns I've had. Once I knew that that was an option, I decided on the bacon blue burger, and was very happy with my decision. Being cooked to a nice medium rare, the patty itself had flavor, which is not something that I find often. The toppings were fresh, and the shoestring fries were a good accompaniment. My lunchmates were also happy with their meals, as well as our drinks all around. I could see myself returning to see what other gems the menu has to offer!

When we attended an event earlier this year we had a major issue with the manager. After contacting the owner, he went out of his way to make things right for our social group. He hosted a lovely event for us and the food and drinks were wonderful.

Fun, sports-type bar with some events like trivia night. Hot honey pepperoni was really good.

A gastropub with some interesting food and drink options We stopped in for brunch and we're pleased with the brunch options. The egg breakfast was good, especially the thick sourdough bread and the fact they you got two sausage links and a nice helping of bacon; the potatoes were a bit underdone. The breakfast tacos were tasty but the taco shell kept falling apart once you lifted it from the plate; while the dish cohesion could have been a little better, I still liked it. The service was pretty good; it seems like a fun spot to visit in normal times. They're right next to the nj transit train line. I enjoyed it and would return!

The food was fresh (how did they find a flawless avocado in the middle of winter???) and the flavors delicious. The service was outstanding -- weekend brunch was packed, and they put your name on a list in case you want to walk around town while you're waiting. Don't go too far, because somehow they're able to move the tables without making folks feel rushed. Each person we encountered -- the host, the folks at the counter, our server -- was nicer than the last. I got a bowl that had slightly cooked spinach, poached eggs, sweet potatoes and that GOHgeous avocado I mentioned above. One thing I really liked about this bowl is that it didn't have rice in it -- something that would've made it too overwhelming. This was the perfect combo and portion size. Someone else in our small group got the avocado toast (more avocado!!) and also said it was excellent. Definitely plan to return!

What an adorable restaurant! If you are looking for a cozy, beautiful brunch spot, this is…read moredefinitely it. They do offer quite an array of brunch items. When we sat down, the server brought a small bowl of complimentary popcorn, which was a welcoming touch. My nephew ordered the short rib benny and he cleaned off the plate. He thought it was a savory bomb. I had him try their horchata, which was his first time trying, and he loved it. I ordered the Thai chicken salad. I like that they use Goffle Road chicken and it came out nice and tender. The veggies were fresh and good quality. I also thought the portion size was perfect. I asked for the dressing on the side and the dressing came in two small cups. One seemed to be a mix of soy and oil, I think there was a bit of sesame oil too. The other was a creamy dressing. I was expecting, nutty, sweet and savory dressing, but it was kind of bland mayo like dressing. The dressing would have also benefited from acid like lime juice. While I liked the salad, the dressing was a let down, so I'm not sure if I would order that dish again, The service was wonderful, everyone was smiling and our server was attentive. I would definitely try again and next time, looking forward to trying some of their brunch/breakfast dishes.

Everything here is clearly made fresh, which absolutely shows in the quality and flavor. The mulled cider is incredible, and their soups are truly to die for (comforting, rich, and perfectly done)!! I'm giving it four stars only because if you're in a hurry, this probably isn't the spot. Service takes a bit of time, but that's the trade-off for how fresh everything is. If you're looking to slow down, enjoy the ambiance, and have a delicious meal, this place is definitely worth it.

THE GOOD ----------------…read more+ PHENOMENAL FOOD!!!!! ++++ Miso Marinated Salmon - Was absolutely delicious. Salmon was cooked perfectly, wasn't dry and still moist. The citrus scented wild rice was excellent too. ++++ Truffle Burger - Honestly, one of the BEST burgers I've had in a longggggg, longgggg time. Everything was perfect about it - the caramelized onions, gruyere on top, bacon, truffle aioli, and, of course, the burger itself. The patty was dripppping with juices with every single bite and cooked to medium excellence. Oh, and those truffle fries that came with it? To die for! Loved the thinness of them and there was PLENTY of it to go around. ++++ Kids Macaroni & Cheese with Fruit - Relatively simple, but the creamy kind of mac and cheese. Kids absolutely loved it. The fruits were just grapes and a few little slices of pineapple, which we would have liked a bit more of. ++++ Kids Cheeseburger and Fries - Burger was DEFINITELY, without a doubt cooked well-done. It was a bit on the tiny side, but we still split it between the kids. Once again, fries were fantastic and there was more than enough to share. ++++ Banana-Rama Smoothie - Strawberry, banana goodness. Could definitely tell this was not artificial from the "true" flavor of the smoothie. It wasn't super sweet. + Service was very good throughout the evening. ++++ Food came out shockingly fast and fresh. ++++ Our waiter was friendly, on point and came by to check on us a few times. + Plenty of space inside of the restaurant, including an outdoor-indoor tent that is heated. + Decor was modern and contemporary, very clean inside. + Ambiance for dinner was dark and intimate, which caught me off guard because I thought it would be more casual, but perfect for group gatherings still and casual dine-ins. + PLENTY of parking in the large lot in front and to the side of the restaurant, which is shared within a little strip mall. + They take reservations online. THE NOT SO GOOD ---------------------------- - Nada! MIXED THOUGHTS --------------------------- = Nada! RANDOM OBSERVATIONS -------------------------------------- = Dined from 5:45 - 7:15 PM on a Friday and most of the evening crowd was older and there weren't many families with kids. There were maybe 2-3 families with kids, but they left by 6:15 PM. Most of the groups were groups of 4, seemingly catching up during a nice meal. CONCLUSION -------------------- = I was pleasantly surprised by the experience we had here. I figured this would be a super casual Friday after work/school dinner with the fam, but this turned out to be one of the best meals we've had in North Jersey in a while. Food, service and ambiance here was excellent. Wish they had .5 stars on Yelp because Saddle River Cafe is as close to perfection as it can get at 4.5 stars!
