Every thing on their menu is delicious, specially the bbq chopped salad, with the yummy pieces of corn and tri tip and cute little black beans--i always have to ask for more ranch though because it never has enough. Never had any issues with taste, cleanliness, and there is always tables available. I gave 3 stars because of the time it took to receive my food. It took 10minutes for our drinks to come to the table and the only reason we received them is because we asked for them. Salad which was an entree was received in 5 minutes which was great but the other entree took about 20minutes. I asked staff why it took so long and they couldn't answer the question. The BBQ pizza with tri tip is AMAZING! The breadsticks are always warm, soft and perfectly seasoned and the south of the border salad is always fresh and loaded with great ingredients. Sometimes I wish they had Stonefire in other states, but I'm not sure other places would get it. A BBQ place with more choices of salad than meat? Lean cuts of meat and no pulled pork in sight? Veggies and sides that aren't doused in butter and salt? You betcha, and it all tastes delicious. Their tangy sauce is so delicious that I actually use it as dressing for their amazing chopped salad, which has everything from black beans to grilled corn and diced tomatoes, making it a light but totally satisfying option. They're also not afraid of garlic - their mashed potatoes and garlic chicken are loaded with the stuff and that is quite alright with me. The only thing I've tried that I didn't like was the beans - theirs are smokies and I prefer them on the tangier side (like the sauce). But I can forgive that given how great everything else is. What a terrific dinner my family and I had last night at the Chatsworth location! General manager Justin Lopez made sure we were well taken care of as my first visit to Stone Fire wasn't exemplary. I tried the grilled vegetable salad with balsamic vinaigrette, Delish! Loved the eggplant! My husband ordered the Caesar salad and adored the dressing so much he couldn't stop eating the appetizer. Instead of Mesquite BBQ Tri Tip (not a fan of their sauce, sorry folks) I chose the pepper garlic with gorgonzola butter! WOW! Now we are talking my language. Guess I really prefer savory over sweet! It was cooked to perfection, medium rare and the pepper garlic did not mask the flavor of the beef. The gorgonzola butter complemented the dish. The garlic mashed potatoes were the real deal, a little chunky speckled with cheese (cheddar I suspect) and scallions. We also ordered a whole chicken and we were able to get 1/2 BBQ and 1/2 lemon garlic so everyone was able content! Who would have thought? My girls were all smiles! Now...for the bread sticks, so yummy...............gone in 60 seconds! Since it was a Sunday night, I noticed the restaurant was well staffed as the place was packed. The servers couldn't have been nicer and more helpful. These folks work hard and are eager to please. I noticed some guests do not provide gratuity and I suppose since SG is not a true sit down restaurant with wait staff, folks feel "tipping" isn't necessary. However I disagree, the service was 110% and thus should be rewarded appropriately which we were happy to do! read more

I love Stonefire Grill and I am a regular at this location as well as the Valencia location. The difference between these two locations is customer service. The Chatsworth location has disappointing customer service. I will only talk about 2 separate occasions and then be on my way. One time I went to Stonefire and ordered a petite Caesar salad. I was more than halfway through my salad when I found a dead fly tucked in the lettuce. I called someone over to take the plate away and he quickly snatched it off the table. No apology, no offer for another plate, no complimentary entree, NOTHING. I was so upset that they basically just ignored the fact that there was a dead insect in my food. Since I work at The Gas Company nearby, I decided to go back to this location to see if I could have a better experience. On this occasion, as always, I asked for extra croutons on my salad. Call me OCD, but I like to have something crunch in every bite of my salad. If the lettuce is not crunchy, I at least need a crouton or sunflower seeds or SOMETHING. When my salad came out I noticed that there were like 4 croutons total in the whole salad. I told the server that I had ordered extra croutons since it seemed like they did opposite of what I asked for. The server came back and said, "My manager said that they already put extra croutons in your salad and that we shouldn't give you more but here are some croutons anyways." Her delivery of that line was just so rude and she rolled her eyes as she walked away. Seriously? Do you want me to pay you the $0.50 the dang croutons cost? Come on! It's called customer service! Needless to say, I won't be using their catering services for our company meetings anymore. They just lost a big account as far as I'm concerned. read more

Stonefire catered my wedding in Simi Valley and they did a wonderful job. They showed up on time, set everything up exactly as planned and were ready to serve on time. They were very friendly and helpful. They even helped bus the tables which was not part of their responsibility- they really went above and beyond! I wish I would've hired them to do the cake cutting/serving as the servers were such hard workers and extremely efficient. Dinner could not have gone more smoothly. I had a different event service company handling the cake cutting and it was a disaster. Stonefire cleaned up the buffet lines and put away all of the extra food very neatly and labeled everything. The food of course was amazing (as always) and we had a ton of leftovers - all for such a reasonable price that really can't be beat! Quality service, quality food- awesome. I go to Stonefire pretty much 3 times a month for lunch with a co-worker. I usually get the petite salad with salmon. I've had bad experiences not with the food, but the lack of taste in the salad dressings. So, today I opted for the test kitchen Mediterranean Chicken Bowl. Everything was really flavorful which was a nice change! However, there was a little pile of what I thought was jalapenos, which I am okay with, but then found that it was Serrano chiles. WAY TOO HOT!!! I then immediately started to clear my throat a few times. I sneezed the rest of the way back to work. I am not allergic to anything, but I may have found something that I am now. There is something in the chicken patties that I may be allergic to. I would like to know the ingredients in them. I wasn't able to find the ingredients online. One more thing, I've order food that was supposed to come with avocado and I never get it. Just an FYI! read more

I catered Stone Fire for my husbands birthday last weekend and boy was the food a huge success. I ordered the "Elly's Choice" which consists of Chicken, Tri-tip, Garlic mashed potatoes, bread sticks and Salad. I also ordered a hot pesto pasta. I ordered for 30 people and the price was very reasonable. I think I could have fed 50 people with the amount of food they provide, so I think next time if I have 30 people, I will order for 20. They also provide you with extra Barbeque sauce, pesto sauce and also a huge container of salad dressing. I lived within the 10 mile radius so delivery was free. I paid by credit card and tipped in cash which I think the deliver/server appreciates. You can pay extra for the server to stay there and get everything going for you but I didn't choose that service. The chicken and trip-tip were moist and tender. I ordered the barbeque version. The salad was a Mexican Chopped Salad, everyone was going back for seconds on that. OMG the Garlic Mashed potatoes were to die for they were so good. The pesto pasta was cooked perfectly more al dente which I prefer to mushy pasta. So for your next party think Stone Fire, you will not be disappointed. This place is garbage. When I went with my friends I saw the waiters sneezing without covering their nose and it going all over the food. Disgusting!!!!! I wouldn't give this place a 0, I would give it more like a -5. Most of the waiters are disrespectful and are pure college kids who don't even know what to do with their life. They're supposed to be waiter but when you ask for something they tell you its "self serve." If everything is "self serve" why do they even have "waiters." Last night we celebrated a family birthday with a party of 19 people. My family loves the tri-tip so we headed there for our family celebration. I was hesitant because we were a large group with no reservation and it was a summer weekend. I knew the wait would be at least an hour. When we arrived, we were greeted by a young girl named Ruth. She told us she would check on the length of the wait, and returned to say it would be an hour at last, but that she and her co-worker would keep us updated. Then she brought us cups of water and told us as tables were vacated. After 40 minutes she told us we could be seated and she arranged to take our order on the side so we wouldn't have to wait in the line. She and th 2men seating people did an excellent job in making sure we were seated as fast as possible. My mother loved the tri-tip and mashed potatoes, and the pesto pasta was delicious. When we asked the young man for a side of ranch, he brought it immediately. The service was the best I've ever seen, and we'll be back soon! read more

Nope. Was there last night before the movie. Loud, unclean and staff seemed to all be showing an I dont care attitude. Had to flag someone down to clean our table before we could sit. This isnt usually a thing but there were no less than 6 other tables waiting to be bused and deserving of attention. Food was fair at best, tri tip had a little to much fat for me and very little actual BBQ sauce. When you could find a member of the wait staff they felt like you were bothering them requesting a little butter or the actual chicken that was suppose to come on the salad. Loud? yes the place was. Very. The parking lot was a nightmare getting around all their UHaul trucks that they use to bring food in and out of the place. There are other choices close by that can be chosen that dont have these same issues. Choose wisely. Looking at the photos below someone posted a photo of a bunch of breadsticks. This restaurant is the kind where you order at the counter and then someone brings it to your table. I usually have no problem with that but this place brings out the food piece by piece. I ordered the grilled chicken lunch special - which comes with a side, a breadstick, and a brownie). First they brought out the chicken and the side on separate plates. One of the plates the woman put in front of my friend although he ordered a pizza. A few minutes later they brought out the brownie and the small pizza my friend ordered. She put the pizza in the center of the table although it was just for one person. Finally, she brought out the breadstick. I think she forgot about it until the last minute. So, I ended up with 4 plates in front of me. The food was pretty good but they couldn't wait and bring out all the food together on the same plate? My friend joked that if he ordered a large pizza they might have brought it out by the slice. Once more thing, we sat on the patio which didn't seem to have any chairs that matched. I love Stonefire Grill's food! Although one of the server Matt was awesome and extremely friendly, there was one that wasn't. Her name, Alex, served us our salad. We asked for extra dressing and she gave me a dumbfounded look like she didn't understand me. My mother in law then asked her again and she just gave us a weird look and took off. We thought okay, she'll be back. She passed us a few times serving other parties. As we expected, we never saw her come back to our table. We had to flag down another waiter for extra dressing. After all our food arrived, Matt then asked if we needed anything else. We realized we didn't get any breadsticks but Matt apologized and got them right away. 10 minutes after, another waiter came by holding breadsticks and asked if we were table so and so. And I said yeah but we already got it. It was pretty busy that night but normally we don't have any problems. read more

Mid week group dinner for 11. Maybe it was an off night for them, but the service was terrible! There were two items we ordered that we had to ask for several times before they were brought to us. Positives: the tri-tip was good, the pizza was great, and the salads were decent. Negatives: The pesto pasta was mediocre--really bland for the potential that dish has. The chicken was not very good, it had almost a almost mealy texture. The only dessert available was carrot cake (others in the party had that and seemed to enjoy it), but everything else was sold out. Slow service. We waited and asked three times for our roasted vegetables, which finally arrived after we were finished with the meal, and we had to inquire about the slice of carrot cake after it hadn't arrived for 22 minutes. And then still had to wait longer for it--which and served refrigerator cold. I've been there before and had better food and service. read more

Was very disappointed at the service i received when i was there to pick up the order my daughter has placed with them for pick up. I was surprised to see few high school kids working on the cashier and ordering desk. The person approached me and asked what is the name of to order. I replies the name, I asked what was the order and how much. He told me the name of the order and price of $150 I asked what the order included. The just told me the name and expected me to know and kind of disturbed why i would ask that. I asked again and he told me items in the order. I told him this is what i wanted to know and gave him my credit card, as he ran my card he throw the card on the counter on the angry way why I had to say that I assume. I was pretty upset and did not like the unprofessional attitude he had. I asked to see the manager as I did not want to go ahead with a purchase and asked them to refund my money back to my card. The manager came a more mature lady who wanted to know what the problem was as I was explaining behind her the guy started to make faces behind her on me and other kids that work there were also laughing as I told the manager the fact that they were doing this behind her. She said she will have a talk with the employee and I left. I was here with my friends last night and everything was amazing. The food was amazing, and the staff was extra friendly. We received our food in great quality, and Jazmin, the manager, was consistent in asking us if we needed everything. She was really nice and really helpful, and not just towards us but to everyone in the restaurant. She was asking all the customers if everything was okay, and really builds relationships with the people. All in all, food was great and Jazmin was so nice and caring, very genuine. My sister ordered food here for my bridal shower yesterday. We figured everyone loves stonefire so we would have nothing to worry about when concerning my friends and family. But I was disappointed in the amount of money that was spent yesterday with the quality of the food. The lemon garlic chicken was dry, had no flavor, and was all stuck together. The tri tip was good as usual but all stuck together. I heard a few complaints about this from our guests since it was difficult to serve ourselves. Macaroni and cheese had nothing special. And for the amount of money you spend, you should be able to select the salad of your choice. If given the chance, I probably won't make a big order like this ever again. It's not worth it to me as the quality of yesterday's meal disappointed me. Not what I normally expect out of Stonefire. read more

My family and I had an unfortunate encounter with a server named Bridgette who clearly needed to be reeducated on customer service. We didn't appreciate the attitude filled lecture we were given about "how things were done at that location"...we apparently were inconveniencing her for cleaning the table because we did not make a reservation for our party of 7 when she was ready with our food. I informed her that their was mention of our party size multiple times at the register and to other servers. She told us that no one was standing at the front to take our party size down because it was dead inside. So confused, if it was dead then the more someone should have been available to help with seating a party of 7 (which isn't even that large of a party). After having to deal with her attitude she stomped off like an angry toddler. The ugly attitude and service by Bridgette was enough to make sure we do not ever return to the Chatsworth location. read more

this place is awesome. i think theyre known for their tri-tip...thats what i usually get when i go. perfect for a large group or family. they have something called a stonefire's favorite. it comes with two choices of either ribs, chicken or tri tip...salad, breadsticks, pizza or two large sides. its a crap load of food. the bleu cheese garlic tri tip is really good. definitely check this place out. its cheap and its good! read more

I only went there once. It took like a few minutes for someone to even come to the counter to wait on me. Finally, they did, and I ordered the cobb salad to go. I think it was called a 'chopped' cobb salad. It took about 15 minutes for them to make it and jeepers, was it ever unimpressive. Iceberg lettuce, bacon, blue cheese, tomatoes, and egg, all neatly organized in their own compartments on the plate - presumably so I could mix them all up on my own. No avocado was included, so it wasn't a true cobb anyway. it was something like 8-9 bucks. Not even a breadstick to go with it. Nice of them to include ranch dressing though. I doubt i'll go back; I'm not willing to wait 15 minutes for a salad when it takes The Habit Burger right across the way about 5 minutes for any to-go order. Perhaps sometime I'll try the sit-down experience at Stonefire, although barbecued chicken/ribs and tri-tip and mashed potatoes n coleslaw aren't really my thing.
