We always go to the Chatsworth location for lunch at once a week. The service is good and prompt. The food is consistent from visit to visit. There's a gentleman by the name of Sal who works there and who always makes sure our order is right and if there's something wrong, he fixes it. Having eaten at this Stonefire and the one on Fallbrook many times, this meal changes my opinion totally. In the past I've not been bowled over with delight but never a disappointed like this. Takeout order included the "Baked" Rigatoni. The menu picture looks meaty and saucy and baked. What I got was in a plastic takeout container (as expected) but looked and tasted like microwaved leftovers. I know what microwaved leftovers look and taste like. This used to be a good restaurant but has fallen in recent times. We went to Stonefire Grill today. The Sign said dine in or takeout so we decided to dine in. You would expect someone to wait on you at your table, but not here. We had to order at the register and the order taker, Sal was not very helpful at all. Sal didn't seem to care if we ordered or walked out. He was not very helpful explaining any of the items in the menu but all that aside we ordered. When we got our food, the food runner asked if we needed anything else, "yes pepper." There was no pepper in the table or in any other tables because I had gotten up earlier and looked. Nobody ever came back with the pepper. I have high blood pressure and edema and salt is the last thing I need and the food was in desperate need of something because it was flavorless and bland. I did not see one table with pepper on it so I got up and asked Sal for some. I told him there was no pepper in the table or on any others as far as I could see. Then I asked him had the price of pepper gone up that it was no longer affordable? Sal went to the one table that had pepper. Since the food runner never returned , I had to get up and go ask Sal for a doggie bag. He pointed to a closed cabinet and said go get one from there - really? a bit unprofessional. The restaurant was not kept very well and nobody who appeared to be an employee seemed to care much about their job, if they did they would have cleared the dishes off of the table that we walked past when we first arrived but didn't. Nor did anybody pick up the used napkin on the floor regardless how many times they walked by it. I wouldn't even use the bathroom in this establishment because if this is how they keep the dining part of the restaurant I was certain squalor awaits. Now let me make one more complaint - I ordered a shareable BBQ chopped salad with chicken and tri tip. The salad was $15.49 with the chicken but an additional $22.28 was charged for the tri tip - a little outrageous because obviously I was charged for a second salad but want given the extra lettuce and etc. This place is the kind of place I'd worry about some food related illness from employees not washing their hands. I am happy to report that even though they are only doing external dining, The place is immaculate and well I can never complain about their food. Went to stone fire grill yesterday and we ordered a shareable size bbq chicken salad. The bowl it came in was so tiny. It was the size of a standard (small) mixing bowl. We asked the waiters is this the shareable size? The waiter replied and said yes. My fiancé and I reluctantly ate the food. After waiting 10/15 minutes in the car and no food yet, I went inside, got in line and picked it up from the counter. Needs to be a little more organized. What happened? We haven't been here in about a year. Wow quality and customer service has diminished. I don't usually send back food but..,the French dip we ordered was inedible. It was full of fat and we couldn't bite through the meat. The entire piece of meat came along when we would make a bite into the sandwich and we had to pull it from our mouths. First DINE IN dinner we had in awhile and it was a huge disappointment. We went there last night 2/03/2021 for dinner. Before coming, I called and was told that it was actually their first day opening with dine in. We got there around 6pm. There wasn't a wait as it wasn't that packed. I placed my order at the counter as usual. However, I had a very difficult time hearing what the employer taking my order was saying. I kept on asking what he was saying and he didn't seem that friendly. The outdoor dining was spacious and not crowded because not many people dined in. We sat next to the exist. During our whole dinner, I noticed two different employees checking up on all the tables twice but just ignored our table. That's so rude! Despite the lack in the service we got, we were excited for the food. It was my fiancé first time eating at Stonefire Grill. We ordered the tri tip (half garlic butter and half bbq), pizza with mushroom and basil, pesto pasta, Caesar salad, and breadsticks. I don't know what happened but the food all tasted bland. The pesto pasta just tasted like boiled penne, not worth how much I paid for it. The salad almost had no taste and the portion was smaller than it used to be. The tri tip had a lot of fat. I was very excited about the bbq sauce but it was too salty. The pizza and breadsticks was good. I have been coming to Stonefire for years now. I am so glad an old coworker of mine introduced me. Their tri tip is worth a visit alone! The breadsticks are also amazing, though I will admit sometimes they are a bit too greasy for my taste. The restaurant does a good job of getting your order then finding a seat for you, but honestly i prefer to either get my orders to go or to cater a meal from them. We used Stonefire for our housewarming party and let me tell you. When they say we had enough food for 20...they meant closer to 25 people. The portions were amazing! We came here for brunch today since I like Stonefire Tri tip steak. It's in a big plaza so finding parking is easy. When we walked in, there was a lot of people. I already knew what I wanted so we put in our order and found a table to sit at. The food came out in a decent time but they forgot the breadsticks. So I went back to the cashier and they brought me a plate with 6 breadsticks. The tri tip here is very good, my girlfriend got lemon garlic salmon and she said it was good. Food is always delicious as usual but this time the service is extraordinary. Kudos to Isaiah who stepped up to the plate when we needed help. 15 minutes has passed since we had asked a waitress for an order of carrot cake. Obviously, she had forgotten about us. Isaiah was making his rounds and asked if everything was good with our meal when my husband told him about the order we had placed fifteen minutes earlier. Isaiah was so very kind and brought us the carrot cake right away and saved the day. We were there to celebrate our son's birthday and with Isaiah made our visit all the better. Stonefire is totally underrated and it shouldn't be! The food is not only delicious, but affordable. The portions are huge and I always go home with left overs. I really like this location because it's close to me, the workers are all really nice, and the restaurant is pretty big! Stonefire is usually not crowded on weekdays, but I went here on a Sunday afternoon for lunch with my sister and the place definitely was crowded. Every time I go to stonefire, a must is always their tomesto pasta (half marinara and half pesto) which is the best of both worlds. My sister and I share a petite tomesto, because even though it says for 1 person... it practically feeds 3 people. I also usually get a sandwich from their menu, but I recently tried their BBQ pizza with tri tip. It wasn't amazing, but it was flavorful - the pizza was soggy and the cheese was a little plasticky. Also, to go with the pasta, i order a few breadsticks because they're buttery and garlicky and everything one should love. When I come here with my sister, we usually share 2 entrees and some breadsticks which fills us up completely and we end up taking a lot of left overs home. And the outcome is usually less than $20! A total deal because we both get a second meal out of it at home. This place is definitely underrated and should be more popular because the food quality and price is great! Spent $54 and this was our breadsticks my husband ordered the coleslaw for his side dish he sent it back because it was salty and had chunks of salt in it. The Tri-Tip is poorly cooked (we asked for Medium Rare and get Medium Well), their bread sticks that were always excellent are now mediocre at best, and they now apparently want to skimp on the BBQ sauce (they won't even give you any unless you ask for it). I'm a regular when it comes to Stone Fire grill! I usually get my order to go and it's the same thing the BBQ chicken chopped salad or the Golden State Kale Salad. About 2 weeks go I was having a party for my son's Birthday and decided to get food catered from Stonefire grill. We came on a Sunday afternoon and was greeted by Will. I told him that I'm having a party for an XXX amount of people. I wasn't really sure what to order and Will was so nice to assist me with the selection of food items and how much I should order. He was so kind to go over everything with me even though I asked him multiple times, he repeated my order and assured that my order would be ready by the date I needed it. We got our ordered delivered and everything was great, food tasted great and everyone loved it. Unfortunately being a party host I didn't have a chance to try the food on the day of the party so we went back a week later. We ended up running into Will again and he remembered me and asked how my catering order went. He was very personable and just overall a great person. I forgot to tell the girl who took my order that I wanted the dressing on the side and he was so kind to make me a new one. He definitely made my dining experience and just overall experience with Stonefire a good one. I will be back and will make sure to utilize Stonefire for my future catering and dining needs. read more
