Mother's Day visit after a long time, sides were their usual great selves, staff was quick and friendly. But tri tip was anything but medium rare, very well done and leathery, as were the ribs. The meat was already showing signs of drying as if it had been left out on the dish for an extended period of time. So for Mother's Day, I had mashed potatoes and salad. Yesterday was my final straw! I have literally spent tens of thousands of dollars at this stonefire location over the last decade (multiple annual banquets with hundreds of attendees, catered business lunches, and my own personal orders), but I just can't justify it anymore. The customer service (specifically by the management staff) is terrible. I too had an online order placed yesterday (see the review by Greg. Shirley C.) for pick up at 430p. Arrived at 428p to have one of the young workers tell me the order wasn't scheduled to be ready until 530p. I pulled up my email confirmation to clearly show him it was for 430p. This "argument" continued for a couple minutes with him trying to show me the receipt his system printed showed 530p pick up, until he got smart and walked away to try and figure out how to get my order ready. Mind you this order was for over $100 worth of food. Next I see him talking to a manager (male), and it seemed they were starting to gather items for my order. I continue to stand there for 15 mins watching this kid now move onto delivering food to customers dining in the restaurant. Another manager (female) comes out and starts saying something about how they received three online orders and the times are wrong (she is saying this to some staff, but never comes over and addresses me as the customer). I then see the same kid who first started helping me talk to the female manager, they point my way and turn to look at me, and then turn back. He then comes over to tell me that they are waiting on the breadsticks for my order. Again, no apology, or update on how much longer! A few minutes later an entirely different young employee brings my order out and begins to walk through the order to ensure everything is there (completely unaware of the situation). I was totally disgusted by management's total lack of customer service, and the fact that they pawn off their 16 year old employees to deal with customer service issues, instead of having one of the managers come over, acknowledge their system wasn't working accurately, and hey...maybe even offer a free cookie or something as a gesture...but obviously my years of business isn't worth it to them! read more

Very good food. This place always seems to have a crowd. I have not tried all of the items on the menu but the chopped grilled salads are awesome. The pizza is also very good. Has a good atmosphere with a decent patio area. You order at the counter and they bring your food to you and check from time to time to make sure all is well. Always consistently good. We get the BBQ tri tip salad in family sized to go at least once a month. We always have to order an extra side of tri tip because the amount of meat in the salad could be greater. We wish you had some other veggies for kids so when we order a dinner, they would get something like peas or carrots. They haven't developed a taste for grilled veggies just yet. Always get your dressing on the side so you can have leftovers that don't turn to mush! read more

I love stone fire. Their food is very consistent and the service is always excellent. We had 6 kids with us last night and they loved it. The breadsticks were a cloud favorite, but there were on 14 so I never got one because the young skinny vultures grubbed down on them prior to my arrival. So my one question is how do you tip? Went there last Friday with my family, when ordering the cashier Jarod was very rude, and NOT helpful. When my order was final brought to table, 30 mins. for a chicken breast and side. the side was wrong . the server left before I could tell him that when he final came back, I told him and said that I should just take it because they are very busy and it will take about 15 mins. to bring back my side. I wasn't going to post a review, but it has been bugging me. The other night my wife picked up some take out for me for my birthday. Ordered the rib and tri tip combo, and she had the bbq chicken salad. The ribs had the texture and taste of just boiled. The 4 pieces of tri tip were not medium rare as ordered. Wife's bbq chicken salad had 3.25 ounces of chicken. ( the salad for two btw ) it looked so bad, she actually weighed it. I ordered the garlic mashed, not sure if the full clove of garlic should have been roasted first, but it was kind of overkill for nearly raw garlic. The only saving grace was the Amazing carrot cake. Hence the 2nd star. Hope this was a isolated incident. read more

We ate here for the first time at 7:00 p.m. on New Year's Eve. The place was packed. My roommate and I ordered the Tri-Tip and Ribs meal. His tri-tip was cold and not made as he asked. I flagged down a server and told her the problem, and she responded with "I'll tell the Manager." Oh great I thought, it will be quite a while before we hear from anyone - if ever (they were that busy). To our surprise a Manager was at our table in less than 2 minutes. We explained what was wrong and she offered to get him a correctly cooked and hot tri-tip, we accepted. LESS than 5 minutes later she was back with fresh, properly cooked and HOT tri-tip. We were very surprised, and they let us take the incorrect food home, which I had for lunch a day later. We were VERY PLEASED at the service, quality of the food, and the price for the amount. I visited Stonefire for my first ever last week and fell in love with their food. The lemon garlic chicken was very tasty, tender and juicy. The best chicken I ever had. If you are trying to eat healthier this is an awesome place to go. They have such a huge variety of creative salads I will never get tired of trying them. I have always liked the south of the border salad but now I am loving the Golden State Kale. It's so good it doesn't even need dressing IMO. Of course the tri tip is good but a big surprise to me was how fabulous the Salmon was. And a great deal. Their desserts are excellent as well, the brownie is better than any brownie should be. It's a little noisy for my tastes inside so I go on nice days and sit outside on the lovely patio. read more

My girlfriend and I usually order the Stimulus Package which includes chicken or tri tip, a large two topping pizza, 8 breadsticks and your choice of 3 salads. We always upgrade to the BBQ chopped chicken salad which is so amazing. This whole meal cost us $27 and lasts us for a couple days. For the price this meal is a steal. The only problem is its take out only. We come in at least once every week and every time they surpass my expectations. The staff here works quickly, and is always very friendly. We've been eating here for years. We've even had multiple celebrations here. The food is always fresh, the customer service is great, and the place is always clean. The only time we've ever had an issue, we called and the manager, Tanya, immediately apologized and resolved the problem without hassle. It was very crowded this past Friday. It was our first visit to a Stonefire grill. You order first at the counter and go pick a spot to sit. You also get the silverware you want. Its pretty much self serve and the waiters just bring the food for you. I got the chicken grill sandwich and it was pretty good. Wife got the veggie salad and the portions were huge. yep, totally a fan. We come here a couple of times a month for the salads and French Dip. I always get the BBQ chopped while my hubs gets the Grilled. I have noticed the last several times that there is almost NO corn in that BBQ salad anymore...shame...I love the roasted corn pieces and there was about 3 kernels. The amount of chicken in the salad also varies each time we go. My salad last night had maybe 1/4 cup of chicken while my husbands had twice as much?? I hate to complain, as it is one of our favorite places, but I will probably say something next time. Even with the Grilled salad, sometimes lots of hunks of artichoke, but last night there was only 2 petal pieces. Also, I don't know what happened to the carrot cake recipe, but last night's was no better than a grocery store bakery piece. I used to rave to people about their cake, but I can no longer recommend it. In the past...LOTS of actual carrot pieces, pineapple, hunks of walnut...no more. Over the last year or so I have ordered a piece at different times thinking the previous one was just a bad piece, but apparently not. The frosting is great, but the cake was no more than a sort of spice cake. I didn't see one piece of carrot, no pineapple(hasn't been for awhile), and not one walnut in the cake. Boo. Bring back the old recipe! I'm willing to pay more for a slice if that's the issue! Again, we love the place...friendly staff and the price is right, but the amount of ingredients in the items we love has been lacking recently. read more

This is mine and my husbands favorite place! They make many of their sauces and dressings from scratch. There are so many good items so it's hard to choose what to order. We love the tri-tip, the incredibly tender chicken, the garlic mashed potatoes, the coleslaw, their pizzas, the best ever bread sticks, and I think my favorite is the chicken pesto sandwich. The chicken is so tender and the homemade pesto is absolutely delicious. They use the best tasting bread too. Oh, I can't forget to mention the Caesar salad and how amazing their dressing is. That is made from scratch as well and it just happens to taste exactly like my homemade Caesar dressing I make at home. It's not a traditional dressing but it's more of a thick, creamy one. I get that every single time. My favorite dessert are the brownies. What's so funny is that their brownies also taste just like my own homemade brownies. The employees are all so friendly too, and it seems like they all have a high morale and great work ethic. If I could give the owner a little bit of advice, I would suggest providing a choice of a sweeter BBQ sauce. Other than that, everything is so perfect! read more
