Been coming here for years (from Lancaster). Left disappointed when we learned that they no longer offer weekday lunch specials.

Still great food but over priced. Great for families or special night out. Drinks are expensive. $25 for a family of 6 for drinks.

Not good to serve to guests. I ordered over 200 dollars worth of food for Xmas eve to serve to my family and friends. We picked up the food it was ready on time and everything seemed good. Then when we opened the containers it was so embarrassing. The tri tips were so small it looked like they had already been eaten from containers were so empty. The chicken looked just as empty and it was cold! Like it had come out of refrigerated area not a grill. The salads all soggy and also looked half full. The beans potatoes were full in plastic to go soup containers so those looked ok. The pizzas also cold like they had been sitting out for quite a while but we picked them up right on time. Ugh so embarrassing to serve to guests it made everyone feel like there wasn't enough food just a terrible experience. I've ordered from Rattlers before and it was all excellent and large order and great experience. My friend told me afterwards Stonefire are known to not be able to handle volume orders around holidays and now I know it firsthand. I usually get chi chis pizzas pastas and salad and rolls for less money and great food with plenty to go around. So I will never order from here again to serve any guests that's for sure.My guests saw it firsthand also as we opened all containers in front of everyone. Trust me it did not feel good to open containers that looked bad and didn't taste any better. Lots of other options around. read more

Stonefire is getting to be a go-to lunch spot. Their food is almost always great and when it's not it still has the feel of quality but not my cup of tea. They do a brisk high volume business but still maintain a standard of quality. Today I got the half chicken half tritip meal with cauliflower salad. The meat was excellent with the flavor that didn't hit you in the face. The cauliflower salad wasn't that appealing, the dressing just want for me. Breadsticks are always solid. The cheesecake with blueberries is worthy of poetry. "Ode to cheesecake " service can be a little off but this Stonefire is massively busy and still is quick and if they are slow they made up for it quickly when I mentioned it. The food is delicious unfortunately the service is the opposite. I come here at least once a month and when I dine in there is no problem. The one time I decide to order for takeout in person I end up waiting an extra 20 minutes for my order. Total wait was 35 minutes for salad, bbq chicken and a pizza. After patiently waiting I check and find out it's been sitting on the shelf for 20 minutes because no one bothered to call me - the only person sitting right in front of them. Also the kitchen didn't complete the order accurately and so I had to do extra work when I got home because my family won't eat it the way it's prepared. Also the pizza was not cut properly and was lop sided. You can tell that this was a rush job and there was no care in the preparation. This extra work causes me extra time and basically negates the convenience of eating out. Tonight Stone Fire was really Stoned Fire and sucked. I hope when I come back I can up your rating higher than two stars but for now you're only getting a two. Also the food was not as hot as it should be because I waited 20 minutes extra for it to and it cooled down because no one bothered to call me when I was sitting right in front of them. So the lesson I learned tonight was don't order in person for takeout because they don't have a process that will accurately deliver your order in time. read more

Unfortunately, Stonefire Grill is more bland, corporatized food without any distinction. This is the kind of place where people who eat to live will rave about. The food is safe, innocuous, edible pablum that does not inspire waxing ever poetic for those who live to eat. I ordered the Mesquite BBQ Tri Tip, and for true Barbeque aficionados, there is not much traditional Barbequing when it comes to cooking the Tri Tip at Stonefire. This is not BBQ Tri Tip that has been in the smoker for hours forming a "smoke ring". The meat seems precooked, slathered with a mesquite BBQ sauce glaze & put through a broiler to finish & caramelize the BBQ sauce. At best you could call it Faux BBQ. The Cartwheel Salad has its good points with mixed greens, black olives, red beets, garbanzo beans, tomato, radishes, tortilla chips, cilantro vinaigrette. This is a nice medley of vegetables in a light vinaigrette that does not overpower the salad ingredients. However, the big Grissini shaped bread is something that seems straight out of an Entenmann prepackaged baked good. The bread is lifeless with no scent nor taste of a flavourful yeast. The texture is fluffy yet dry...dead in the mouth of those who are discerning. This is the "Wonder Bread" of breadsticks which indicate billions of these must flow out of some nameless, faceless factory. I ordered the Alt Bier Ale which was light in body for an ale, slightly bready in body, slightly yeasty, with a touch of smokiness. It was good enough ale to pair with the faux BBQ. The restaurant system at StoneFire is smooth running using computer technology that melds ordering, execution of the comestibles in the kitchen, & finding the customer who has to find his own seating in one smooth operation. After ordering & paying, the customer is handed a transponder with a number on it so he/she can take it to their location of choice. The food then goes to a server who will be led to the proper customer through the use of the transponder. After ordering, be sure to go to the self serve section that has the flatware, napkins, drinks, sweet BBQ sauce before finding a seat so that when the server comes with your order, you will be able to dine right away. Otherwise, you have to get up from your food that was presented to go get the necessary accoutrements. In the meantime, your food is getting cold although here it may not matter too much. Nice set up, efficient but impersonal service, mediocre food = 2+ Yelp stars. read more

Stonefire has been a staple in my family for many years. Unforantely, though the customer service leaves much to be desired. After ordering food online tonight, and being told my food woud be ready at a specific time, I went to the restaurant 3 mins after the the estimated time of completion for my food. My food was not yet ready, and I was told by the staff that my food had not even entered the oven yet. I wasn't sure how long it would take for my food to be ready and was highly frustrated when I didn't get my food for an additional 20 minutes. The most frustrating part of this situation was not the service by the waiters/waitresses, rather the service provided by management. It was clear that there was a problem with my order and rather than having the lead manager approach me about the situation, to attempt to make it right, I was completely ignored. This seems to be a common occurrance with one specific manager at this location. With this restaurant being a staple in my family, I know each manager by name and I truly expected more from them. I was completely turned off by the way this situation was handled, and will second guess going back. read more

We choose to go here, solely based on its Yelp pictures. I'm not much of a meat eater but when I saw a pic of their Tri Tip and Garlic Mashed Potatoes. I had to get me some ... that day actually. I've tried a variety of their menu, basically enough to give me a decent idea of what their food is all about. Everything was good, served in large portions for the price. The tri tip was ok. I'm actually not much of a meat fan so I really don't know how to rate it. Other than it was edible but not something I would order again. I believe it looked better than it tasted, there that's it. But everything else I've had, I would order again. Especially their South of the Border salad. Which has quinoa as a protein choice. I was super excited about that, love quinoa. I also really liked their Pesto pasta. Mmmm delicious pesto. Keep in mind this isn't a fancy place. You go in, order at the counter, grab an empty seat, grab your own cutlery, drinks and tableware and then get your food. One of our favorite restaurants as a family. Our recent experience was amazing. We showed up with a group of 20 to celebrate my wife's birthday. The wait wasn't too long and the fact they were able to accommodate us was definitely appreciated. My favorite dish here is the Tri-Tip & the BBQ chopped chicken salad. Our kids love the pizza, always full of flavor, who am I kidding we all love the pizza! The sides are all great, we usually go with the Mashed Potatoes & the Colé Slaw. The Mac & Cheese is also bomb. I'll update my review next time with pics of the food. My only complaint would be the chicken, and I get it, trust me, I know how hard it is to make white meat juicy. Doesn't help that my grandfather is from Cincinnati and specializes in chicken. lol.. their chicken breast is way too dry tho. But that would be my only con. I ordered the mega feast on Valentine's Day. As expected, they were really busy when I picked up the order at 5:30. My order was complete. However, both chickens were raw. It took 30 minutes at 350 in the air fryer to fully cook both chickens. These pictures are actually after the first round at 15 minutes. I put the rest at another 15 minutes just to make sure it's fully cooked. I wonder how many people got food poisoning that night from eating raw chicken from their restaurant. read more

It's imperative I wrote this review and explain my reasoning. No order from Stonefire all the time and love there BBQ tri-tip chopped salad. I always order a massive salad so I can have extras for the next day. Before I explain my experience this evening I want to go on about the great food items I continue to enjoy. Their chicken tastes great, but needs to come with lots of either BBQ sauce or the lemon garlic sauce as it always seems to be a bit dry. Good, but dry... I ordered a combo of 1/4 chicken and tri-tip and it was truly the safest thing I've ever seen. It was a massive container for the smallest amount of chicken and tri-tip. I refused to take a pic since I thought it wouldn't be fair due to my great experience this evening. Moving on to the taste of the tri-tip and other items, I highly recommend ordering the tri-tip no matter what you're in the mood for. You can never go wrong. They always cook it to perfection. Same with the ribs as well. I can go through multiple pounds of both for days. Never a disappointment. Now for the pizza. The pizza is awesome, but must be eaten ASAP after you leave the restaurant of taking it to go. I feel like it doesn't have much life left after, but still pretty awesome tasting. Don't sleep on the bread sticks and don't think you are ordering too many. There is no such thing. Their bread sticks are the most addicting carbohydrate I've ever experienced. You could eat 10 by yourself and not even realize what happened. It's like you blackout on the amazingness that is the bread sticks and go into a trance until your stomach feels like it's going to pop. You will probably go for more after that point as well. Take my word for it..... Now for my evening experience. I ordered for Valentine's Day and was super excited to indulge in a feast. I ordered and had some specifics that I needed to make certain were put into place. Specifically, tri-tip nbq chopped salad tossed with dressing on the side and NO tortilla strips. Unfortunately, when I got there they brought me a salad tossed with dressing and tortilla strips inside and chicken.... Was a bit of a pain. However, I mention this not to talk about what wasn't done, but what was done about it. I was met personally by who I assume was the manager, Tyler, who was very professional, apologetic and helpful. He was so quick to make things right that I didn't even think twice and completely forgot that there was ever an issue. The professionalism and overall experience by the staff and specifically Tyler deserves to be acknowledged and rewarded. I will definitely continue to go back to eat there, specifically at this location due to my experience. Just to be clear, the food situation was a 4, unfortunately, but the customer service is a stellar 5. I look forward to an even better experience next time and look forward to changing my 4 star to a 5 star. read more

I pretty much go here for the take out and it's pretty good. A few years ago they started a "recession buster" meal deal. It used to be for just $20 you could get a choice of 1 lb. of tri tip (BBQ or pepper garlic) or whole chicken (lemon garlic or BBQ), a 12″ two-topping pizza, salad (garden, Caesar, Greek or cartwheel pasta) and eight freshly baked bread sticks. Great! Apparently the economy has improved so it came out to around $25 - 30. Hmmm Well it is a tasty order and super easy to get. Just wish they kept the price down. Still FWIW it seems to be a better deal than Wood Ranch's take out deals. Order on the phone and pick it on the way home - BOOM, dinner is served. The deal has something for everyone. The tri tip is marinated nicely and juicy. Chicken is fall off the bone tender. Bread sticks are delicious, always a favorite! The caesar salad is very complimentary to the meal with the dressing not overpowering everything. Pizza is just whatever but not bad. Any extra sides like mashed potatoes will up the total by $5. Oh and note this is always slammed busy, especially at dinner time. Call ahead to avoid wait times. read more

What a wonderful experience. I called Stone Fire Grill to find out how their delivery service worked. I live in Sacramento and was ordering for a friend that lives in Santa Clarita that is going through a rough patch! The Staff was very helpful and advised me to go on the Stone Fire Grill website to order for delivery. I chose, delivery with a third party option to be delivery at 6 pm. I ordered Grilled Lemon Chicken, Garlic Mash Potato's, Whole Roasted Cauliflower w/ Tahini Sauce, and Bread Sticks. My friend received her meal at 5:48 pm. I know because they sent me a text indicating when the order was delivered. My friend was very pleased and the Roasted Cauliflower was the star of the show!! Wow, this place gets 5 stars just for portion size. We ordered "Our Favorite" which comes with 18 delicious garlic bread sticks, a whole chicken, a choice of tri tip or ribs, large salad, and a choice of two sides or a two topping pizza. You order first and then sit which seems to be the right call at this establishment to quickly turn tables, particularly for big groups and celebrations. Everything came out super quickly and at around the same time so that you didn't get full off of a few items. I love family style meals and this definitely did not disappoint. The breadsticks were sooo delicious with the perfect amount of garlic and I loved the amount of garlic-y kick in the salad. Tri tip was cooked to perfection but I will say I enjoyed the bbq flavor more. The chicken was a bit fatty and probably my least favorite of everything. I actually would prefer Popeyes or KFC. It would've been nice to grab a bit of extra sauce on the side. For sides, the mashed potatoes and quinoa were yummy. The cauliflower is excluded from your options for he favorite meal. Overall, this is well worth the money for the service, quality, and amount of food. I will definitely be back to try their petite versions of meals and can't wait for the leftovers. read more

Somehow they manage every single time I've gone to incorrectly prepare my protein or forget about something altogether. If this was a one time thing I wouldn't mind but they are consistently bad. There is plenty of seating and there's a convenient waiting area specifically for carry out, so not everyone has to wait together. Their lunch specials are such a good deal. Well, it's official..We're breaking up with Stonefire. :( We used to crave the juicy delicious lemon garlic chicken, tri-tip meals and Cartwheel salad. We'd eat there probably once a month. Sadly, the last several times we've been, the food quality has continuously gone south. We've also been really bummed about the Cartwheel salad being taken off the menu as we LOVED that! The last time we went though sealed the deal. I got garlic butter tri-tip, baked beans and rigatoni + breadsticks. The breadsticks were bland and pretty hard. The baked beans were okay. The rigatoni was kind of blah...still decent. The tri-tip though...it's what I came for and wow. Completely inedible. It was a very small portion, lots of rubbery texture and it was actually cold. I tried to eat it but each bite I embarrassingly had to spit into a napkin...gross. The server asked how everything was and I told him about the meat. He very nicely offered to get me a new one. It wound up being the same kind of tiny slices of meat brought back, just slightly heated on the top. The underneath slices were cold again and still just as rubbery. Dang! I was so bummed. I miss the meat they used to use, the original portions, the original texture, flavor, juiciness, etc...It's just nothing like it used to be and it's VERY noticeable. Huge bummer. They did take the cost of the meat off my bill which I was glad about, (after I told them it wasn't edible again). Sadly, we will be leaving Stonefire behind and looking elsewhere for a great, hearty meal. : / read more

What a disappointment. We went to Stonefire this weekend with friends and out of 5 of us, only 2 enjoyed their meal. Most of the dishes were very bland. The menu has changed and shrunk and you are left with just a few options in each category. We ordered salads, sandwiches ad, tacos and chicken tenders and all except 2 left unsatisfied. The wait staff was friendly but not actually helpful and we waited an extra 10-15 minutes for the last plate to come out. We will be crossing Stonefire off our list of go to restaurants. read more
