We are creatures of habit and almost always order the same thing, two half chickens with lemon garlic mashed potatoes and Greek salad with two drinks. All. The food is fresh and tasty. I like that you can pour your own BBQ sauce. The passion tea is a real bonus here. My husband and I had dinner here with his Aunt and we were very impressed. You can order individually or family style, dine in or take out. The food is fresh and there are a ton of options. They offer kids meals for the little ones as well as beer and wine for the adults. It really is a great place for the whole family. We opted to dine in family style and there was plenty of food for all 7 of our party. The family meal included a salad, a pizza, chicken, ribs, and breadsticks. The pizza we chose I believe was called the California and it has avocado as a topping. I would order this pizza again and again! The salad we chose had beets, which I'm not a huge fan of, but I was pleasantly surprised!i even had a second serving..Everything tasted great and the server was very attentive. My wife and I experimented with all the pizza places in Santa Clarita after moving from the eastcoast 10 yrs ago and after months of taste tests awarded Stonefire the gold medal. The menu offered enough variety to mix it up with pizza, bbq chicken, tri-tip, ribs and an assortment of salads which never disappointed w/plenty of fresh ingredients and great portions - petite size feeds two. Full disclosure, Vincenzo's and Tomato Joes placed bronze and silver with the pizza but Stonefire's menu blew theirs away. Long story short, wife got off wheat so bye-bye Stonefire pizza, hello Tomato Joes and Z-pizza. She resumed eating wheat about a year ago so returned to my fave Stonefire and could not get a consistently made pizza to save my life. Not a particularly difficult order...lg pepperoni w/heavy sauce, well-done, toppings to the edge ( pretty simple right???) but for whatever the reason it was hit or miss ( cashiers read order back each time so the screwups fall on the cooking staff) After multiple complaints Mgr. Tanya suggested that I place phone orders only thru shift mgrs to ensure quality control and its been working UNTIL this past Sunday. A visiting family member had a taste for pizza so after talking Stonefire up ("best pizza in town Mom, you're gonna love it!) I phoned in take out order and spoke to shift mgr as directed (don't recall her name but heavy accent) and she read it back to me and confirmed but pizza not only DID NOT have heavy sauce, it hardly had ANY sauce...crust was not only not well done, it was MUSHY and dry, dry, dry! UPDATE: I was contacted by Justin on behalf of Stonefire and I proposed a possible resolution which was ignored. It took me THIS long to write a review for stonefire?! Fine, to make up for my way delayed review of a family-fave restaurant, I bestow the honor of having my first review of 2014. What is stonefire great for? -Groups, especially medium-large groups. The food is all very shareable portions and the price is right for dining out for.... work party..... mini reunion with assorted friend categories... family get together.... casual birthday... and the list goes on. -Breadsticks. Just do it. The full basket. In the name of the garlic, toasty bread gods. -Tri tip BBQ salad. Tasty bowl of greens, corn, carrots, beans, tri tip pieces, etc. They claim the small feeds 1-2, we've personally been able to share between 3 people and STILL took leftovers home. I guess everyone eats a different amount of salad. -Lemon garlic chicken. It does come layered in a sauce of garlic goodness (okay, slightly greasy but it doesn't bother me). Always have had moist chicken, never lacking in flavor. The setup is different than most restaurants. It's not quite counter fast food service, but it's not quite sit down service either. You order from the counter and they'll bring the food to you. Up to you to find a table as well as serve yourself the plates and utensils and drink refills. Although there have been a few occasions where the staff starts policing the tables and helping with flow. To me the prices are fair. We are usually able to order enough food to feed our family of 4 for under $40, drinks included. It does tend to get busy and finding a table can get tricky. Especially prime time dinner time in awesometown where no one cooks for dinner. Best solutions? Beat the dinner rush, wait until after the dinner rush, or come for lunch. Or just be patient. Your choice ;] I'm glad Stonefire is so close to home and a great option for dining in or takeout. read more

Not often do I give a 5 star rating, Stonefire deserves it! This location, as well as the West Hills are both excellent! The food is incredible in flavor and there is plenty of variety. I love their tri-tip bbq style, but they offer a garlic butter version as well. Their Stonefire chopped salad is just fantastic. Their Cesar salad is one of the best and the dressing has strong parmesan and garlic tasting, which is my preference. I've had their bbq pork ribs and it is to die for. You ordered first and they bring you your food to your table. You fill your own drinks, grab your own plates and utensils, bbq sauce etc. I really don't mind, since you can save money in not tipping. Some people complain that this is like a cafeteria set up but since you serve yourself, you don't need to tip or as much as 15% at least so, consider it a discount on on your food price. They offer many different sizes for any appetite and the prices vary between $6 to $25. For two people to share a salad, get a full order of tri-tip some bread sticks and water will cost you about $25. Their pizza is great and my kids love it. Definitely my top 4 places to go and enjoy dinner. read more

I've been coming to Stonefire for so long that I remember when it used to be called Wildfire. Anyways, the food here is consistently good. It's not your typical smoked meat barbecue. It's more of a "let's marinate and grill our meat in our backyard" kind of food. I don't know if it makes any sense, but it's as comfort food as it can get. It's definitely for anybody who is a "meat and potatoes" kind of person. Nevertheless, they do it well. Their menu items are generally meant for sharing. With that in mind, take your friends and family and share. Sharing is caring :) Generally, I stick to their roasted tri tip which is marinated perfectly. It's juicy, tender and delicious. Their other meats such as ribs and chicken are also tender and well marinated. The thing that puts these delicious meats over the top is their barbecue sauce. It's sweet, smoky and tangy. The sauce was made for grilled meats.....or perhaps meat was made for their barbecue sauce. It's just that good. Their side choices are just as delicious. I don't know how they make their breadsticks so yummy, but they just are. They usually come standard with whatever combo you order. As for sides, try the garlic mashed potatoes. They are freshly mashed with tender chunks of garlic cloves mixed inside. If your're more of a salad person, then go for a barbecue chop salad. It comes with your choice of chicken or tri tip. You won't be disappointed. It's the perfect blend of lettuce, black beans, roasted corn, tomatoes, carrots, cilantro, crunchy, tortilla strips and jack cheese. It comes with ranch on the side, but the secret to this salad is tossing it with ranch and the afore mentioned barbecue sauce. It really makes for a creamy yet zesty dressing. Lastly, Stonefire always comes through for my catering needs. I've used them several times for large orders (approximately 20 people), and they always have my order ready within the hour. Their orders have always been done correctly and on time. What more can I ask for? Well, say no more because the price is amazing too. We have always been HUGE fans of stonefire. Sadly, since Covid, the quality has gone down and the prices have gone up. Plus the restructuring of the menu and sizes...Especially the take out! The sizes of everything are smaller and way cost way more. Plus the quality of food is worse. Barely any meat on the salads. Tiny containers for salad dressing and bbq sauce. And asking for more is like pulling teeth...they give 2 more tiny containers. The ranch dressing for the biggest salad is practically a single serving. It's just so disappointing. Used to be our go to for hosting friends bc the quality was amazing and fed a lot people. Now my family of 4 is still hungry after our large salad with minimal meat and dressing and breadsticks with not enough sauce to dip in. Value for what you get has gone out the window. Plus, there is no lunch menu which they got rid of (I think). So, food is a bit pricey... What else can you ask for? Food wasn't that shabby either. Tri-tip was just okay. So does that mean I should have had a bad feeling or read deeper into that when I came here for what would be a pseudo-lunch date a couple of times. Was she really trying to drop some hints? Cause they seem to treat "family dining" as "do it your own fucking self!" This is what I consider the mixture between an Olive Garden and a Chipotle joint. A sort of happy medium where you pay in advance but it's got a good number of seats so you and your load of kids soccer team can come in and get a load of pasta, pizza or whatever is your poison choice of food. They have a sort of open view of the kitchen. Which is pretty nice to make sure that they're not spitting in your food when you come in here and act like your the bee's knees. I finally recognized one of the staff that I had asked, and stopped her again and said HI! REMEMBER ME?!? Another staff member walked over and took my husband's chair when he had stepped away for a minute. She didnt even ask...SHE JUST TOOK THE CHAIR for another table. I ordered food online this morning for evening pick up. I waited 30 min over pick up time because breadsticks were not done. I was unsatisfied with this since I ordered 6 hours ahead of time. However, managers were very attentive and apologetic. There was an issue with the oven which delayed my order. Managers credited my large breadstick order and gave me a gift card for the future. I understand issues and unforeseen circumstances happen but they made up for it with their excellent customer service and attentiveness. I will be back for sure! This was my first time at this location, have visited Chatsworth many times with much better results...I ordered tri tip medium rare, and was served medium WELL instead, ordered mashed potatoes and they were very dry, breadsticks were greasy and left oil on our hands. I sent the meat back...it came back medium and I decided to just accept that the chef and I have wildly different opinions of medium rare. Been coming here for 6 years and it's a restaurant where you get more bang for your buck. Every single thing I have here tastes amazing! The staff is so sweet! I recommend getting the tri-tip family meal if you're with 3-4 people. It comes with 8 breadsticks, medium salad (greek, cartwheel, traditional, etc), and a rack of tri-tip. If you're just getting a salad, then I recommend the BBQ chopped salad, it has chopped tri-tip pieces on top and tastes so so good! Eating a salad for one? Get the petite or small if you want a little extra. But with everything you order here, make sure you get breadsticks. They're only .50 cents a piece! P.s. Always get their signature BBQ sauce! Take one end of the spectrum where the workers are dressed formally, the prices are high, and the interior decor looks nice. Take the other end where you pay before your meal, take a number, sit down wherever there's an open table, display your number, and go fetch all your utensils, plates, drinks, togo boxes, etc... Now I would understand this concept maybe 2 years ago before they jacked up everything by at least $2, and passed the savings onto you, but now, it just gets old and somewhat insulting. Once I ordered a Chopped BBQ Salad for takeout and while eating discovered a black rock that resembled the beans that could've seriously damaged my teeth if I didn't notice it while beginning to chew. I called them up immediately and told the owner about the incident and she said she would send us some gift certificates and apologized for the matter. The kid behind the counter never looked to see if my order was ready and wouldn't even look up at me. Finally a manager saw me standing therefor a long time, and looked to see that my order had been ready since i arrived.
