I've been coming here for years and the food has always been great but this last experience was very disappointing. I placed an order for pick up 3 hours ahead of the pick time which was confirmed by Stonefire in the order email. I arrived a few minutes before the order was meant to be ready and the staff member let me know they were still finishing things up. 35 minutes later after watching 12 other cars pull up and leave I see them bring out my order, and place the order in someone else's car only to realize they've gone to the wrong person. Ordered hours ahead of time, order ready 35 minutes past scheduled pick up time, and placed in the wrong customers hands before being brought to me. Very disappointing experience. read more

I have been eating at Stonefire Grill with my family since I was a little kid and I always have a positive experience!! The employees are friendly, helpful, and professional. The managers are always polite, helpful, and genuine. I love love LOVE their food! My favorite is the BBQ tri-tip (medium rare) and their BBQ ribs! I am a very picky rib person and there are only 2 places that I have been to lately that have amazing ribs and one of them is Stonefire! They put just the right amount of BBQ sauce and the meat is super tender and moist! They also have an amazing BBQ chop salad. Sometimes we order it with chicken because we already have a lot of beef between the ribs and tri-tip but other times we do order it wtith the tri-tip. Either way, the salad is to die for! read more

I've seen this place a few time and I always wanted to try it. My aunt was coming over for dinner and she brought an ad with her for stonefire. Since we had never eaten there we got a special called the "Stimulus Package". It included tri-tip, pizza, salad and bread sticks. We also ordered a mac & cheese for my daughters. We all thought the tri-tip was good and we were surprised on how good the pizza was. The bread sticks were awesome. Mental note: next time order extra bread sticks. My daughters loved the mac & cheese but remember, the orders are very big. They could have both shared one order. Overall, the food was very good and the service was fast and friendly. I still like this place, but the last couple of times I've had their chicken breast, it's had a funny chemical taste to it. I don't know how to describe it, but it was enough to put a damper on my appetite. I've since watched them cook it. The chicken is apparently pre-cooked prior to being grilled. The weird part is... the cooked chicken is submerged in some sort of solution and stored there until it's ready to be grilled. I have no idea if any of this is relevant to the funny taste or not, but it definitely didn't look appealing to me and I've stopped ordering the chicken altogether. This is a real shame because when their chicken doesn't have the chemical flavor, it's excellent. Still, they have a great selection of salads, their breadsticks are tasty, and their pizzas aren't bad. They've also started to offer a pizza/salad combo that's a good deal. UPDATE: While I continue to shy away from the chicken, the salads and pizza keep me coming back for more. They're always delicious and the salads in particular are a real bargain given the amount of food you get. Try the BBQ chopped salad. read more

I'd been meaning to write a review for the Sonefire Grill for quite some time... I really like this place. The staff is friendly, the food is tasty, and the restaurant is really, really clean. Before yesterday, I would have given this place four stars... and the reason I would have given it four stars instead of five is because they don't have many vegetarian options... Why five stars then? Outstanding customer service. I was meeting my wife for lunch at College of the Canyons, so I placed a to-go order for two Golden State Kale salads (the best thing on the menu- a MUST TRY)... I sat in the waiting area and after a while noticed people that had placed to go orders after me were getting their food and leaving... I glanced at my receipt and noticed I'd been waiting for nearly 20 minutes. I went over and explained that I had to meet someone for lunch and I couldn't wait any longer... if the salads were being made, I would wait- but if they weren't, I just wanted a refund so I could go somewhere on the COC campus. The manager, LaShel, overheard the conversation and delivered the to-go salads personally... she explained the reason for the hold up, apologized, and then, WITHOUT BEING ASKED, refunded my money. I told her it wasn't necessary- it's just that I couldn't wait any longer for the salads because I had to get back. She insisted on refunding the money. I was so amazed at the great customer service- I'd give this place ten stars if I could... I'll be back for sure. read more

I don't write very many scathing reviews, but I feel this one is necessary. I've been a loyal patron of Stone Fire for years. Their tri-tip is delicious and their pizzas are even better. However, what has always disappointed me for the last four years is their service. It's terrible!!! My family and I dined at the restaurant for an early lunch and waited forever for our food, and it wasn't like they were very busy. Not even close. Not only were they super slow, but our order came out at three separate times! My father had his sandwich 15 minutes before my mother and wife had their salads. I didn't get my tri-tip for another ten minutes after my wife and mother got their salads. Really?! Why can't our entire order come out at once?! It's extremely awkward and uncomfortable to watch others eat their food . This happens every time we dine in! I let the manager know once that this was unacceptable, but things haven't changed. It's disappointing. That being said I would strongly urge patrons to order food "to go" and NOT dine in. read more

I went to Stonefire and really enjoyed it. We walked in and the restaurant was somewhat busy for the time of the night. I went to order the half slab of rib combo and the register operator (the receipt says Hannah) told me they were sold out according to the register but she would go check to make sure. She came back and told me they would be able to fulfill my order! Awesome!! Great customer service!! The food came and the servers who brought out our food were also very nice and made sure we didn't need anything else. The food looked amazing and tasted even better. The ribs fell off the bone and the rest of my party raved about how good their food was. Stonefire continues to impress and has a customer for life. We are frequent customers with Stone Fire and we love the food and atmosphere. And usually the good customer service. But today was by far the worst service EVER. We were in a hurry and had a short lunch so my fiancée thought to order take out and eat it at the restaurant. So as we were finishing our meal the same manager who processed our order decided to come up to us and let us know that for future " we can't have you order take out and eat it inside, because we take names" WOW. Nice of you to at least let us finish our meal. It was completely ruined, and probably the first we meal we DID NOT enjoy. Way to make your loyal patrons feel valued. We weren't just hanging out we paid for our meal just like everyone else. We totally considered using their catering service for our wedding but I wouldn't want to inconvenience them by sitting there. Not even worthy one star. So disappointed. read more

Placed a note for a request that no one noticed after the three times my simple order (4 items) was "checked on". Got so fed up waiting I didn't want to wait even longer for it to be fixed. It's been 2 years since I wrote a review and I needed to give some recognition to Micah yesterday! Yesterday's order from DoorDash was a disaster. It was the most I spent on DoorDash for a no-contact delivery as it was for my daughter's birthday but everything just went wrong. I only received the salad from my order but everything else was missing! I was trying to yell to the driver from my door (keeping my social distance) to let him know that the delivery was incomplete, but unfortunately he didn't hear me and he drove off. I went into full frantic panic mode cause the driver's contact info was no longer available once the delivery was done. I quickly got on the DoorDash chat to try and get some help while at the same time calling the restaurant. I spoke to Micah at the restaurant and explained everything that happened while I was still on frantic mode and Micah said he can remake the missing items for no charge and would need someone to pick it up. He said it in the calmest, most level headed tone. He did not raise his voice or give me attitude even though I was going crazy (and hungry)! I was teary eyed to just hear that he could fix our order. His kindness meant a lot to me. My husband went to pick up the food and they were so professional and apologetic. These are trying times right now and it's so important to be kind and nice and Micah exemplified that and more! This place will continue to have my business, pandemic or not! read more

However, I must complement this restaurant in its fine staff in but particular, EVAN who provided excellent services this evening. Evan warmly greeted us, has a very cheerful and professional demeanor. Evan demonstrated excellent public relations skills, when he noticed how disappointed I was that I couldn't no longer order the cauliflower salad. I don't know who the manager is running this location or who was the manager the night we went but they deserve a raise as does the entire staff. The service was great and the cashier was very patient with my grandmother when she was ordering. My grandmother can be a bit of spit fire. our order came out fast, hot, delicious and correct! I will say this, it's busy here but that's why it was 5 stars because despite it being super busy our food came out quick. Great for families or a celebration for a family member. I have been going to Stone Fire since they opened and I love the food and the friendly service. Today four of us met to have their luncheon special and catch up. We met the nicest man who said his name was Dan and that he was the Manager. He assisted our server with the delivery of our food and asked each of us our names. He checked with us to make sure everything was to our liking and called us each by our name when speaking to us. He was very charming and we were thrilled that he remembered our names. In all my years coming to Stone Fire I have never had a manager introduce themself, follow up to insure we had a great dining experience and treat as though we're VIP'S or family. Dan is a tremendous asset to your business and should be commended, Stone Fire is now our favorite lunch spot read more

Our top place to eat at in Santa Clarita, we live in the area and when we do go out, this is our first choice. We like to eat healthy and find that their salads are the best around. The quantities are quite substantial, so my wife and I normally share one small salad and perhaps another appetizer and that is adequate. For around $20 we get a great meal and a nice atmosphere. It is normally quite busy, but the wait is never long and when the weather is nice then the outdoors is very nice place to sit. All in all a good choice read more

Visited this place on June 8, 2019 with two friends. Two of the meals were terrible. Waited for the other meal more than 25 minutes and that was after asking about it several times. The tri tip was dry - like it was leftover from the day before and was put in the microwave to warm slightly. The ribs were cold and the little bbq sauce that was on it was watery. We went here after spending the day at Magic Mountain. It usually gets busy so it's definitely recommended to call ahead, especially if you're with a large group. The ordering method was kind of odd--you get in line to order first and then you're seated. Regardless, we were able to be seated within 20 mins since we called ahead.
