Is it me or are their salmon lunch specials especially the salmon getting very small? Julia took my order, promised me a 15-minute turnaround instead of 25-30 minute turnaround because they're short staff. My lunch to go came as promised. Then I noticed the salmon and based on what I've gotten many times they gave me a huge piece! I called Julia, told her about the tiny salmon that it's only 4 ounces, she could tell I wasn't happy on the phone and connected me with a Mike, Manager, and he explained that certain cuts of the salmon reflect different sizes. Well remember the saying, "It's not what you think, it's how someone feels?" Mike never attempted to ask me to bring back the piece of salmon I was not happy about and replace it with a salmon piece I'd be happy with. Not a very good management call for Mike. read more

Just left the take out area, food is probably gonna be excellent but the fact that I placed my order at noon to pick up at 5:20 and when I got there the order was not ready so I waited,5 min, 10 min then asked to find out what was taking so long (mac and cheese) they find out that it has not even been started and had to wait another 10 min while the rest of my food just sat and sat and sat getting cold and colder BUT HEY on the bright side, the mac and cheese was hot. yum read more

I recently visited Stonefire with my mom and we got a Green Keen salad and the 20$ Tri Tip dinner for 2. I personally don't eat meat so the salad was me. I think it's awesome that they have vegetarian and vegan options for those of us that dont eat meat. They actually have quite a few options and it's not just salad. I saw one of the waiters walk by us with grilled cauliflower that looked amazing! Anyways, our food was delicious to say the least. I couldn't even finish my salad it was so big. And we had plenty of tri tip and sides to bring home. My mom got up to ask one of the servers for some lids for the cups and was kindly greeted by Erick. This young man went above and beyond to make sure my mom got what she needed. She asked for two lids and he kindly gave her three just in case she needed more. He ended up coming by our table to pick up our dishes and asked us if we needed a bag. A girl who walked by had already asked us if we needed a bag so we told Erick we didn't need one. We ended up waiting a couple minutes and Erick came back and handed us a bag. He said " I didn't see anyone getting a bag so I grabbed one for you!" That was super sweet and he honestly didn't have to do that for us. My mom and i were thrilled with the service and I would recommend Stone Fire to anyone that asks! read more

Stonefire grill is a wonderful place for parties, big meals, or small dates. Their Tri-tip salad is to die for and absolutely delicious, and their breadsticks are a guilty pleasure you just can't say no to. Many of the employees are friendly and outgoing. Just the other night I went for dessert and was helped by Justin who fixed my order for me and was very kind. I definitely recommend it if you are into American dining, it's a Santa Clarita classic and must have. Be careful if you are gluten free and wary of the menu options, but they do have a gf menu on request. Several of my friends work there, so I can personally assure you of the quality service you will receive from such wonderful people. read more

Oh my goodness the tri tip is amazing I am from Texas and BBQ we're all about the mesquite wood. This place reminded me of home I was impressed!! Super busy. Crowded. I didn't care for the atmosphere. But the food was amazing. Took it to go. Everyone friendly and professional. Seems like everyone enjoyed their job. So I've come to Stonefire Grill a few times to meet my best friend for dinner, mainly out of convenience because we can stay a long time, and our boy's can sit at another table and hang out with each other while we catch up. That is definitely one of the ups to this place. Plus, they do have an extensive menu with pretty reasonable prices. And their wine menu is fine and acceptable. The down side is that I haven't been crazy about the food the few times I've been there. The first time I got the bbq chicken wrap, and it was pretty good, so I decided to go for that again the second time around. This time the chicken was undercooked. Very undercooked. I sent it back, and it took over 25 minutes for them to get me a new wrap. However the manager did approach me to apologize and offered to bring me something in the meantime so I asked for a small quinoa salad with the Dijon mustard vinaigrette. I actually enjoyed the salad way more than the wrap. The wrap came back with the chicken cooked, but the tortilla was super soggy. I had asked for no tomatoes and to add shredded cheese. It came back with tomatoes and no shredded cheese. I can't complain too much though because it was nice that they gave me the free salad. My bestie had their French dip Aus Jus, and she liked it. My son had the bbq ribs, and they were ok. His side of mashed potatoes were just ok too. Under seasoned and bland. Like I said, the food was just mediocre overall. It does have a nice ambience, and people seem to like it because it's always packed. I ate here with my family today. My wife got a salad. I got the same salad wrapped with chicken added. my son got the chicken strips. When I got my wrap I ate a few bites and smelled a foul odor. I put the wrap down, thought it was some thing else . I smelled the wrap and it had the foul odor. My wife had the same salad with out chicken and she did not have the foul odor from her salad. It was the chicken!! i went to the front cashier and explained the situations. She called the manager but would not smell for them selves. The manager comes, I explained the situation again, would, not smell it. Both had a blank look on their faces. The manager asked if I wanted something else. I said yes! But said he could give me a wrap with out chicken. He brought out a new wrap offered a refund for the chicken added. Grand total of 2.18.. my wife couldn't finish her meal same salad. Son had chicken. They couldn't eat and I couldn't eat the same wrap I ate spoiled chicken with the foul odor. We left hungry and I am worried if I am going to get sick from eating foul chicken! I usually don't have a problem with Stonefire, but tonight was different. I ordered my food online and was told it would be 45 minutes until it was ready. When I arrived at the estimated time it would be ready, I was told it would be another 10 minutes. Now naturally you'd think if you wait an extra 10 minutes it's because the food is still cooking...not so much. Our meat was cold and over cooked (bbq chicken and tri-tip), the Gorgonzola butter "sauce" was gross-paste like, the Brussels sprouts were cold, the salad was wilted, and the breadsticks were hard as a rock! My family was pretty unhappy with the dinner. We don't plan to be ordering from there again. I should've ordered Thai food. read more

There is really only one thing I come here for (though to be fair the other menu items are yummy), the South of the Border salad with both chicken and tri trip is my go to order. I like to add bbq to the salad dressing and when it all comes together there is just an explosion if flavor. I love it. The garlic breadsticks are a nice addition if you're looking to make your meal a little filling. The roasted veggies have a good char and nice flavor profile as well. A favorite spot for our family, recently we had a disappointing meal-their normally delicious meal was "meh". They forgot the sauces, didn't put much dressing on the salad, the chicken wasn't great- not at all what we have come to expect from Stonefire. I called the manager and explained how disappointed we were- 5 Stars for Excellent customer service! I LOVE THIS PLACE Stonefire has the best salads, garlic bread sticks, and bbq sauce. I have always been served promptly and greeted with smiles. This restraunt is more of a self serve place with a little bit of help from staff just checking on you to see that everything is ok. It looks great, it's always busy and has absolutly the greatest food. I mentioned it to my boyfriend one time and he was skeptical about how good it could possibly be and once he had the french dip here, he laughed and said that was the best french dip sandwhich he had ever had....haha Its a great place, family oriented and quick service. I absolutely LOVE Stone Fire Grill food. I come here pretty often and I always get the same thing. BBQ chicken Salad tossed NO ONIONS. Pretty simple. My husband and I decided to stop there for dinner last night. On the way there i phoned in and ordered my usual. We were literally 2 mins away but we were starving and wanted to expedite the process. She said it would be about 15mins until it was ready. That seemed like a very long time for a small chicken salad, but whatever its worth it. So we get there 2mins later at 9:03 (yes im watching the clock because i can not wait my mouth is drooling at this point im so hungry) and my husband goes in while i wait in the car and he decides to order a sandwich as well. Its coming up on 9:25pm and im like WHERE IS MY FOOD? So I decide to go inside to see if maybe the workers don't realize that our food is ready and just sitting there. Because that has happened to me before. I see my husband, who by the way is very laid back and happy go lucky, is obviously frustrated and being handed his food. We walk to our car and its 9:35pm! My husband told me that he asked one of the guys there 3 different times if our order was ready and he said no. And it wasn't until a sweet cashier took notice and double checked and saw that our food had been sitting there for almost 10 minutes ugh! On top of that the manager apparently was just laughing it up having a good ol time with the employees and didn't even step in to give apologies, compensation, help, NOTHING. So irritating. Then i get home and there are ONIONS tossed in my salad!! I couldn't even eat my food!! The only reason I didn't give a lower rating is because the food is always AMAZING and the service of that sweet girl. read more

Having attended several weddings catered by Stonefire Grill, I would wager we settled on them as a caterer for ours before we even got engaged. We're both totally in love with the Thousand Oaks location, so having the Valencia restaurant out by our venue (Piru, CA) was spectacular. We had their Rattler's Bar B Que location cater our delicious appetizers (Mmm, BBQ meatballs) while Stonefire brought our main course. To be honest, I don't quite remember what our exact order was as we tried for a mix of everything, but it was all superb. There's so many options to chose from, I'm pretty sure anyone can find their perfect menu here. The tri-tip and lemon garlic chicken were our mains, for sure, I could never forget that! My go-to meal at the restaurant is always the tri-tip chicken combination. Though, I may have used slightly too much barbecue sauce... if there is such a thing. The staff was extremely organized and courteous in handling during a wedding. We also opted for the plate scraping service, as the venue we were using did not provide clean up. After a long night of dancing, I'm fairly certain we were all extremely thankful for them helping with that and would consider if way worth it. I'd recommend them, but I don't think I have to! We had countless people comment on the food in the following weeks; the great food and equally great service pretty much recommend themselves. read more

We had dinner there on Thursday evening and almost wish we hadn't. The food was good, but the dining room was filthy. EVERY booth and many of the tables had dirty dishes. It was disgusting. The place was not busy either. There were about four other tables filled with diners. None of the workers seemed in any hurry to do any cleaning. It's not like we showed up after lunch rush. After about 45 minutes it looked like the manager came out and started to clear a couple of the tables. read more

The food was (as always) delicious and, even though we had a complicated order with a lot of special requests, everything came out just right. I was also super impressed with how amazing the staff at the takeout/catering counter were! The team member who helped me was so thorough and I really appreciated that she went item by item with me and made sure we had everything before I left -- I wish all catering places did that! The 4 of us had a late dinner here last night. It was so packed! We were lucky to find a table. I ordered the tri-tip BBQ sandwich, which by the way comes with NOTHING! So, if you want anything besides BBQ meat and a dry roll, please remember to order it, I didn't. It was a total disappointment. The roll was dry and tasteless. The meat was so fatty and tough, I could barely chew it. I kept removing pieces of meat to remove the fat so I could eat. If there's a next time on this sandwich, I'll ask for mayo, lettuce, maybe cheese, etc and maybe a side. Boring! My daughter's kid pizza was okay. She enjoyed it for the most part. There was a lot of crust with no sauce or cheese, so had to go get a side of Ranch for dipping. My hubby got a small Chicken Caesar salad, which we all had bites of. The chicken had a good flavor, but was pretty dry, as was the salad. I should've got an extra side of dressing. My other daughter's pesto pasta was the best tasting of all. We all had bites. This is only our 3rd time at a Stonefire ever. For the price, I totally think they could do better! Usually love everything about this place from there perfectly sized and proportioned salads to their tri-tip offered two ways. I only gave them 4 stars for their inconsistency and how they cook meat. When you order two tri-tip dinners both exactly the same and request medium well one of them comes perfectly medium well and the other one was so rare it was bleeding into my dish. I discovered this 30 minutes after driving home with my take-out order I would have sent it back if I could. Other than that this place has always excelled in quality and service. read more

You place your order at the register where the line moves quickly and then they give you a number for your self seat table. Food comes quickly straight from the open view kitchen. Great system if actually work. We had an order of burger and tri tip meal with mash potatoes and 2 bread sticks. The burger came and I think they forgot the tri tip because 15 mins later, staff came and asked if we got everything, clearly only one of us is eating. So I mentioned I'm still waiting for my tri tip, nice girl went and finally I got my tri tip and mash potatoes but everything was barely warm, borderline cold.
