First time actually dining in here. We had the tri tip for 2 with Caesar and cole slaw and breadsticks included, children's mac n cheese and a BBQ sandwich with beans. The food is good as usual. Total bill with 2 drinks (and 1 included with kids meal) was $42 and some change Pros -Good food served pretty quick -Good price for the amount of food we got. -Excellent service! The tri tip came out and the server stopped before setting it down and asked me to feel it as it looked cold to him. It was pretty like warm and he quickly took it away and brought us a nice hot serving. We were checked on often even thought it's technically not a "full service restaurant." Cons -it get really loud as the dinner rush started crowding in but it's a pretty family friendly place so it's not a deal breaker -ordering at the front was kind of chaotic with people in line and crowds picking up. They also don't have an option to leave tip at the front so bring cash for that. -the fountain drinks all tasted watered down. Not sure if that's always the case or just wasn't a serviced properly this time by the drink vendor. We tried various drinks and they all tasted a bit off. We are regulars here and I haven't done my review just yet but tonight was the perfect timing. Why? Because everything and anything that could have wrong did. We arrived as usual around 7 pm. We waited in line per policy. We DIDN'T get a table first. Then all of a sudden an Asian woman cuts in line and walks right in front of us. I thought maybe she was looking for someone but no actually she was cutting in line. Not only that but her 6 family members are were already inside seated. She lied to the hostess and said they were people in their party eating already. I tried politely telling her that she cut and that the policy is posted right out front. Then her daughter came to her defense which she right away was rude and made snarky comments. They moved behind us as the policy states. But then the hostess said we couldn't order yet since they didn't have a table for us. They are busy as usual on Sundays for dinner. So then they still moved up and went ahead of us. I was going to stay quiet and asked to speak to the manager. Tanya came over and talked to me she was simply the best and so caring. She said she is big on following the policies and took care of us. I was not expecting for her to go ABOVE AND BEYOND to take care of us. She had a table for us and dinner was on her. Wow I was NOT expecting that. Tanya thank you so much your a true definition of a manager. You truly care for your customers. I'll see you soon since we are regulars. You can never go wrong with Stonefire. Stonefire is my happy place thanks to Claire, the kindest manager in the world. This lady deserves a raise. I called her on the phone to complain about some missing ingredients on my to go order salads. I should have checked it as well before I got home. I eventually called the store and she was so very appreciative--refunded my entire orders. I did not expect that, but she graciously thanked me for the feedback. I imagine she has some training in psychology because I can assure you that I was not in the best of moods. Trust me, I had a bad day at work at the hospital. Claire turned what could have been a difficult encounter into one in which she is going to have her staff make sure that they include and check that everything actually gets added to the to go orders. The place is busy and it's because the food is awesome and fairly priced for sure. That said, it is also because it has excellent management and an amazing person named Claire working on the front lines. I will be back soon! read more

We haven't been able to eat hear for a few years due to distance. Passed through today to grab Lucy and it was just as good as I remembered. The BBQ sauce is amazing. We shared 1/4 lemon garlic chicken and tri-tip with BBQ. We each got a petite salad (which is huge by the way, but we wanted more greens) just beware that it is already large before you upgrade. What a drop in quality since I was last here. My Caesar salad was lacking in flavor, and the lettuce had dirt/sand in it. My BBQ chicken was rubbery and once I removed the skin, I had maybe 4-5 ounces left... at the most. Also, there were flies inside all over. It was not just one or two, but many flies. As crowded as this place is, I'm surprised it's only now getting a review. That probably has something to do with the clientele who frequent this place like it can do no wrong. Their meat is so mushy- it has to be boiled. It's almost prohibitively expensive to order for one. Everything seems to meld into the same taste after a while. I asked to speak to the manager only to find out they gave me someone else's old order they decided to cancel. According to the manager it "wasn't too old yet" and it was "still clean." After my crappy lunch at Arby's (wasn't my choosing), I reckon I had a pretty good appetite going. Me, my sis, along wiv her husband and me nephew & niece, went to the Stonefire Grill for a proper dinner. The wait was pretty long, since it's Friday night, but we stuck it out. We finally got seated and both the tots were half asleep, which kinda worked out nice...JK. Once seated our server was very polite, nice, but a wee bit on the hyperactive side...which worked in our advantage, because she was extremely expeditious and constantly running back and forth to get us everything we needed, doing three things at once (kinda like a triathlete). Both me and my sis ordered the grilled chicken ceasar salad, Lleyton ordered the barbie chicken pizza, and we ordered the little ones mac & cheese and chicken strips. We figured if they eventually woke up, than they just might take a few nibbles of their food....that certainly didn't happen the way we anticipated. After I devoured my ceasar salad, the mac & cheese looked pretty doable; while Lleyton polished off the chicken strips...plus cold food is't good for kids :) I certainly didn't want to wake up me nephew to inform him that I was going to eat his kid's meal. I figured it would be better just to let him sleep, he's young and needs his rest. However, the food was great, the service was wicked fast, thanks to our triathlon server. Overall, very nice dinner. The food from here is surprisingly good! The menu is huge and I am always somewhat dubious of restaurants that have a mish mash of items on it. I tend to feel like restaurants should attempt to specialize in one thing and do it well rather than have every possible type of food you could think of on the menu! Well, Stonefire Grill blows my theory out of the water! I have had food from here on several occasions, all for family gatherings. Everything is always cooked perfectly, seasoned well, and the portions are huge. We normally order a bunch of different items and then share it. Here are a few of the highlights: The pizza is good but slightly greasy. The sauce tastes great and the crust appears to be cooked over an open flame but I could be wrong about that. I do love it though, especially how fresh and hot it is, even after getting it to go. Tasty stuff but be prepared to do a bit of blotting prior to eating it. The garlic mashed potatoes are FANTASTIC! They are so good and the garlic isn't too overwhelming. They are really good! Plus, I love when mashed potatoes are thick and somewhat lumpy. YUM! I have had a couple different salads from there and they are always great. All the veggies are always fresh and crispy. Plus, with the dressing on the side you can add however much you want. I love that! I love getting the Caesar Salad, the grated cheese is delicious and then I add my own non caesar dressing on it. Very good! The grilled veggies were the one item that I didn't like from there. I am not a fan of smoke flavored anything and these had a strong smokey flavor to them. The bread sticks are good, really garlicky! Good stuff! I know that Paul has tried several other items from there and has really liked everything. I think he has tried the tri tip and the chicken. He always goes back for seconds so he must enjoy it. I wouldn't go out of my way to go here, in fact I have only had take out from here but when we get it again, which I am sure we will for our next family gathering, I will be looking forward to it! I guess I will rate it 3.5 stars and possibly 4 because of how much everyone else in our family likes it! Honestly, if I could give this no stars I would. I'm saddened that one of my first reviews is for this place. I used to love Stonefire. They had great food, nice staff, pleasant atmosphere. I'm not sure what exactly changed, but today, I went in to pick up an order I placed on the phone. It was raining pretty hard, so naturally, I went to park in one of the pick up/to go spots out front, only problem was there wasn't a single spot open. 'Ok', I thought, 'it is raining, I'm sure there'll be plenty people in line waiting to pick up their orders and head home'. When I went in however, that was far from the truth. There was actually no one waiting in the pick up area of the restaurant. If they are letting sit down guests park there, which it seemed to be the case today, then I'm sorely disappointed. Next, was the service. I was told that my name would be called when my food was ready, lo and behold, they did not. My food sat for about 5 mins before I finally asked if it was my order, which it was. 'I'm a little frustrated, but at least the food will be good like I remember.' Sadly, that was one of the most disappointing parts. The pizza box, felt cool, a bit damp, (which of course I knew was from trying to get into my car while in the rain). It gets worse, the actual pizza, was cold. Yes, cold. Not warm, not warmish, not even just cooled. Cold. And I'm pretty sure that's what I was waiting for when I arrived at the restaurant. The chicken I ordered, also not warm. I heated up two pieces of the pizza in the microwave, it was too chewy and left me feeling regretful. I haven't tried my brownie, yet. They used to be great, so I hope they haven't changed the recipe. I know Stonefire is so much better than this! Had a great experience here you order before you sit down. Everything is very smooth to the food coming out and the staff is very friendly. I had Caesar salad and my son had cheese pizza which I had a slice. Salad tip notch and the pizza is fantastic. The sauce had great flavor different then what I have tasted at other places. Cold food? Kids more interested in chatting than serving? Twice I've come in and the heck with that dang tip! Can I suggest to them to EARN IT!!!! My fiance and I came here a couple of days ago for lunch..... yeah not good. I ordered the tri tip with a Cesar salad and mac and cheese. My fiance ordered the ribs and chicken with a side of cole slaw. I got my salad first, so far so good..... then his food came out, then mine. When I touched the plate, it was ice cold, and of course when I took the first bite of my medium rare tri tip, it was completely cold. So of course, I sent it back. When I gave it to the waitress and advised her that it was cold, she stated "I'm so sorry let me bring you a NEW one". And so I waited, and waited and waited some more. My fiancee was almost completely done with his meal when my plate arrived. This is why they get 2 stars. It was the same exact plate, the same exact cut of meat. They never made me a new one. The different is that now it was more cooked, the plate was hot and my meat was no longer medium rare. The reason why I know it was the same piece is because I focused of a piece and sure enough, it was the same piece coming back 25 minutes later. The kicker of the story, the bigger pieces were still cold!!!!!!! Yeah no thanks, I'll pass..... I'll go to good old Rattlers over this place any day. Oh and a big pet peeve of my fiancee's which I figured I'd mention since he doesn't have a Yelp account..... Restaurants should be forbidden from serving ribs with papers napkins. By the time you are done with the rack, half of your napkin is stuck to your fingers and the other half you've probably already ingested since it kept getting stuck to the bbq sauce. This place is terrible. Don't order the steak and cheese sandwich, the sandwhich had zero flavor and was dry. The took forever to bring out 1 sandwich then forgot my side orders. I reminded the staff about forgetting my side order then they forgot again SMH! TERRIBLE. Don't waste your money or time going to this place not sure if they just plain forgot or the fact that I'm Mexican yup that just happened. That's the feeling out entire table got from this place. I repeat DONT COME TO THIS PLACE!!! EDIT: Justin I do appreciate the follow up. However, when you mentioned our terrible service was a result of our ethnicity let me explain that every single person in our party of 10 felt this vibe. 3 out of the 10 don't speak English and we were translating their order while the person taking our order kept rolling their eyes almost as they wanted us to hurry shut up and sit down. Now granted the restaurant was busy so we didn't think anything of it. Then we were constantly having to remind the runners about our orders not being correct. Some of the people in our tried waiving down the runners about the missing food and were ignored. Our food took 30 minutes or so which wasn't bad but the additional 45 minutes of waiting for our sides was unacceptable. We did address our concerns with the manager and she attempted to offer us a desert comp which we declined then we never saw her again. I apologize you feel like my statement wasn't called for but things like this happen and people need to know. Now I know every business has a mission to provide quality service and food to all but I have read other very negative reviews about this restaurant so please don't think I'm making this up. When you have multiple negative reviews it kind of goes against every apology it have read and means nothing. 3/10/11 I went to Stone Fire Grill yesterday and I will never go back again! It was a group of us and we were coming from a location scout all good an hungry and was referred! Well, The person at the register needs some more training. No one told us that you have to grab your own plates and utinsiles. Anyway, I am from the south and we pride our self on great BBQ and Baked Beans. I was expected at least decent food. I decided to order the Half Chicken and Baked Beans.... I took two bites of the beans..... My first comments was oh hell no these are not baked beans. I immedialtey took them to the counter and told the lady at the register I did not know what these were but they were not BAKED BEANS...tey were not good at all. She immediately suggested the mashed potatos and Ithought ok this will be better. THEY WEREN'T and further more the chicken was not seasoned beyone having the BBQ sauce on it and that was not good either. The food was just flavorless! I think the owner maybe she was the managr came over to ask if everything was okay ..I lied and said yes because my friends did not want me to say anything as they had not gotten their food.
