You get your soda/drink at the beverage station and then you sit wherever you want. However, the decor is much nicer than your average "order your food and take a number" joint. The booths and tables are similar to a Macaroni Grill or other sit down, waitress style restaurant. They bring the food to your table (even though you get a pager?). I had a personal size salad. We came here about an hour before closing on a Saturday night. The staff was sooo ready to go home. We received no welcome or directions on how to order (it was our first time there). About 15 minutes into our meal and about half an hour before closing the "waiter" tells us he's going to clean up the drink dispenser area, so we better get drink refills now. As we came in there was no line and ordered right away and sat down. We had the Tri-tip and lemon pepper chicken with a side of beans,garlic mashed potatoes,breadsticks and a petite Caesar salad. All the food was GREAT! Service was also very attentive and fast. Food came out within minutes of sitting down, Hot and Fresh. I can't say enough good things about their staff and food. I've been there a few times since moving back to California last year and always had a good experience. But last night I went in, with my MIL, husband and 2 teenagers. It was my birthday and we didn't get to go out until later. We realized just before walking in that they were closing in 20 min. My husband I just went to lunch today here. I ordered Chicken Tortilla soup and Cobb salad, son had cheese pizza,hubby had chicken pesto sandwich. This restaurant is absolutely delicious. Everything was made to order fresh. Also the portions are huge. And besides all of that Robby the manager came over and chatted with us. We tried: Pesto Pasta: 5/5 SOOO good. It's a creamier pesto and was just wonderful. Hands down getting this again. Caesar Salad: 5/5 Everyone does a caesar salad, but not everyone does it right. Stonefire does. We always thought having a caesar for the wedding fare seemed kind of basic but their dressing really blew it out of the ball park. Everyone loved the caesar. Chopped Salad: 4/5 This is was another wonderful salad. Lots of crunch, lots of texture, and great all around flavor. Marinara Pasta: 3.8/5 This was a good pasta. Just a little on the tangy side. Tri tip: 4.5/5 We got both flavors, the bbq and the blue butter (I think that's what it was) and both were great. We couldn't decide which was better. The tri tip was cooked perfect - medium rare and it was tender. Definitely recommend. Mac and Cheese: 4/5 This was a solid mac and cheese. Also a winner with everyone. Overall, this place is fantastic at its price point and the service is 5/5. They won our business today and for sure at future family functions. Cheaper than Wood Ranch and way more options.
