The food looked really good online and we ordered curbside pick up, food was ready in 35 minutes which is a little long but okay, however once we got home we realized the chicken wasn't cooked all the way. Since we ordered through postmates we couldn't put in a complaint or request a refund. The 2 stars is because their cheese pizza was pretty good and the salad was a good size. Wow! am I disappointed . This was once our favorite place to eat, but today was not StoneFire's day. Our bbq ribs were dry, my wife's salmon was "way over cooked!" . The bread sticks we're actually "sticks" seemed that they were day olds and warmed up & served again, the mashed potatoes were dry and tasteless. A servers was wiping down serving plates. He would wipe the inside of the plate and with the same towel, wipe down the bottom and then put on a piece of paper, between each plate. Wiping top and bottom with the same towel, is not very hygienic. That is how people get stomach illness. read more

One of my family members occasionally has lunch here. Sometimes I get food from here for dinner. Tonight my family member brought home a Mediterranean mixed salads. I had a little but then I immediately stopped when I found a HAIR in my mouth that was in the salad. I dumped the rest in the garbage for fear of getting sick. My family member once told me something similar happened before in the restaurant and the manager apologized or something. My family member continues to eat there despite this for reasons I don't know. But yeah, if it happened before it will happen again and apparently I was the victim this time. I guess this place is a franchise, but I had never heard of them. The layout is interesting. You place your order at a cashier, then they give you one of those square vibrating pagers. You get your soda/drink at the beverage station and then you sit wherever you want. However, the decor is much nicer than your average "order your food and take a number" joint. The booths and tables are similar to a Macaroni Grill or other sit down, waitress style restaurant. They bring the food to your table (even though you get a pager?). I had a personal size salad. It's plenty for one person for lunch, don't consider getting the small size. It was very good. The service was excellent, everyone was very friendly. I would definitely go back! read more

The food is okay... I don't eat meat but my family does. The taste was bland without the sauce. I loved the house salad and ranch it was perfect! The street corn was delicious! And the mashed potato was great but arrived a little dry (I ordered through DoorDash). The BREADSTICKS were DELICIOUS!!!!! I also had some Mac and cheese and again it was very plain the kids said it needed taste, and no I don't have COVID I can still taste everything. I have been to another Stonefire Grill in Northridge one time prior and really had a good experience ,so I figured I would bring my girlfriend to try it out. As we came in there was no line and ordered right away and sat down. We had the Tri-tip and lemon pepper chicken with a side of beans,garlic mashed potatoes,breadsticks and a petite Caesar salad. All the food was GREAT! Service was also very attentive and fast. Food came out within minutes of sitting down, Hot and Fresh. Tri-Tip and chicken were juicy and flavorful, mashed potatoes were yummy. Our only complaint were the beans, they lacked flavor and were more chili bean like (Just a note if that is what you're looking for). Price is also good for what you get. About 15 minutes into our meal and about half an hour before closing the "waiter" tells us he's going to clean up the drink dispenser area, so we better get drink refills now. He never inquired as to how our meal tasted or if we needed anything. We felt super rushed. The food was pretty good, like a B-, if I was going to grade it, so that's why the two stars. I can't say enough good things about their staff and food. I've been there a few times since moving back to California last year and always had a good experience. But last night I went in, with my MIL, husband and 2 teenagers. It was my birthday and we didn't get to go out until later. We realized just before walking in that they were closing in 20 min. I went in and asked (totally expecting and being okay with them saying no it was too close to closing). They welcomed us, they fed us quickly, and were super kind and helpful the whole time. My husband I just went to lunch today here. I ordered Chicken Tortilla soup and Cobb salad, son had cheese pizza,hubby had chicken pesto sandwich. This restaurant is absolutely delicious. Everything was made to order fresh. Also the portions are huge. And besides all of that Robby the manager came over and chatted with us. After hearing we had never been there before he insists we try their homemade carrot cake. He brings the huggest piece to us. It is hands down the best carrot cake I have ever had! This place has the best bbq chopped salad we have ever tasted; we could eat this every day! The interior design is modern yet comfortable. Noise level isn't too loud. Our server, Erick, is very personable. The manager even dropped by to check on us. Great service, great salad. But then ..... On 7/2/19, I was planning on a quick trip and was really disappointed. Ordered carrot cakes to go and waited 30 minutes!!!! Until I have to ask one of the lady who worked there. And then she checked and it seemed nobody had attend to the order even though they were lots of staff standing around the to go area. Weird! And the restaurant was not busy at all. Just poor time management. So, just be aware of this kind of problem. You just have to be proactive so they can get your order in timely manner. Food is good. I will definitely go again. FYI: Family Meal is definitely not enough for 4 people, envelope AFTER adding on a pizza. We had to get food from another place just to have enough to eat for everyone. The concept of standing around to view the menu and order in a sit down restaurant environment is lame, especially if you're going to charge sit-down and be served prices. 2. Don't make me go get my own drinks, utensils, or anything for that matter yet charge me full service prices. 3. The food is simply, not tasty. 4. The salads uninspired and flavorless, the tri-tip on my salad dry and simply not good. 5. The bacon on the Cobb salad tasted off, almost rancid grease flavor. 6. He was soooooo friendly, helpful, and patient with all of our endless questions. He had great feedback and was super informative. My future in-laws really appreciated how wonderful he was. We tried: Pesto Pasta: 5/5 SOOO good. It's a creamier pesto and was just wonderful. Hands down getting this again. Caesar Salad: 5/5 Everyone does a caesar salad, but not everyone does it right. Stonefire does. We always thought having a caesar for the wedding fare seemed kind of basic but their dressing really blew it out of the ball park. Everyone loved the caesar. Chopped Salad: 4/5 This is was another wonderful salad. Lots of crunch, lots of texture, and great all around flavor. Marinara Pasta: 3.8/5 This was a good pasta. Just a little on the tangy side. Tri tip: 4.5/5 We got both flavors, the bbq and the blue butter (I think that's what it was) and both were great. We couldn't decide which was better. The tri tip was cooked perfect - medium rare and it was tender. Definitely recommend. Mac and Cheese: 4/5 This was a solid mac and cheese. Also a winner with everyone. Overall, this place is fantastic at its price point and the service is 5/5. They won our business today and for sure at future family functions. Cheaper than Wood Ranch and way more options.
