We just love this place. Great food atmosphere and the staff are excellent. What's really great for us is it's location is at the south western end of town so most tourists jump off at the early seen places leaving this jewel to those whom know. We had a simple late lunch. The Ola Boys Fish Katsu Samdwich with yellow fin Ahi on a sweet bun. It had a wonderful aioli and a little shredded cabbage on a sweet bun. Probably the best fish sandwich ever. A fresh salad with a white balsamic vinaigrette dressing. Of course great veggies in it. Crispy calamari of course tubes and those crispy tentacles. With an excellent siracha aioli with lemon juice. Chicken wings on fire with a great bite and ranch dressings. Not overly breaded or heavy nice and light. Ok they didn't have my tamura sauce but were great. read more

We had our NSCF annual Ladies Christmas brunch and food was catered by Stonefish. We LOVED this restaurant on the North Shore! The entrance to the restaurant is actually located around back. Once you find your way in to the restaurant, we were greeted with a smile at the hostess stand. When our table was ready, we were seated and our server, Kerry C. greeted us warmly. Hubby ordered the Ola Boys Fish Katsu Sandwich with French fries and I ordered the Blue Cheese Chop Salad. Both of these selections were amazing!! The fish sandwich with curly fries was excellent. The blue cheese chop salad was as beautiful as it was delicious and it was so huge! The decor and the vibe of the restaurant was beautiful and amazing! Kerry was so delightful and she took excellent care of us. First thing that morning we completed a 6 mile / 3 hour hike at Ka'ena Point Trail so we were very thirsty and she kept our water glasses filled. Thanks for trying to rectify the issue. The time is correct. I checked into Life 360 and checked the time we were about to walk out. Maybe the waiter didn't put in our order right away but we were there for an hour & a half. I think we weren't the normal clientele that ate there. It was our first stop before going around the island. I also asked for white rice but got the fried rice, if you look on the order ticket. My friend and I came here for breakfast after a recommendation. We ordered the lilikoi kamikaze, it was strong giving us a slight buzz while we waited for our food. For breakfast, we ordered the cinna toast, French toast styled cinnamon rolls and a spinach and bacon burrito. The cinna toast was crispy on the outside with inside pastry softness. The accompanied brûlée sauce had perfect sweetness. The burrito was quite delicious, with crispy bacon and eggs cooked perfectly inside. Warm ambiance and friendly staff. Service was a little slow but I didn't mind and the waitress apologized stating the place was trying get back up from COVID restrictions. This place is fantastic with affordable prices. Randomly picked a spot to grab lunch while visiting the north shore and the universe is obviously on our side since this was one of the best meals of our two week trip. Service was so kind and fun. Nice restaurant with cozy, wooden/rattan decor. Big space inside and outside -- perfect for a couple, or for a couple of friends! Fish katsu sandwich was pretty standard. Grilled chicken sandwich was super moist, but also super messy because of the BBQ and honey mustard sauces. Tasted good, but definitely glad I didn't wear a white shirt and that the bathroom was right there to wash my hands after lol. Crab cake salad was interesting, a little acidic but works well because of the seafood. The mule was nice, as was the mai tai. Super cute restaurant on the north shore. I was expecting it to be pretty tourist-oriented given the location but I was pleasantly surprised! There were some obvious travelers dining but mostly local families which I always view as a good sign. Food was pretty tasty and service was wonderful. I would absolutely go here again and try more items on the menu. Two of us got the fish sandwich which was easy and yummy and two of us got Philly cheese steaks, we just wanted a quick lunch. Our drive back from the North Shore brought us here. We were so happy they were able to accommodate our party of 8 last minute. The food was A-ok. Loved the concept of Prime Rib Poke! This was actually the best service I had in Hawaii during my trip. All of the staff were super attentive and genuinely kind. Celeste was my server, she also acts as the bartender, and she was extremely welcoming and sweet. I felt like the food prices were very reasonable for the area and the quality of service. We decided to visit based on a recommendation from a friend. Nice space with limited indoor and outdoor seating. We had a party of 6, and we were placed on a large beautiful wood table with a pillar, awkwardly located in between two party members. We ordered calamari, which was a bit salty, beets, and garlic shrimp as starters. The catch of the day, which didn't have as much flavor, bakchoy with dirt still on the inner leaves. The crunch was no joke. Salmon, which was dry, but we liked the unique bed of udon. Will definitely try that at home. Not likely to visit again. read more

We had just finished our passport appointment at the Waialua post office when the sudden urge of a cocktail hit so we decided to spend some time in Haleiwa. Using Yelp, we found Stonefish Grill nearby. They have a fun cocktail menu so I started with the Haleiwa Sunset, made with bourbon, amaretto, orange juice, club soda, and a splash of grenadine. Now that the cocktail craving was satisfied, it was onto the food. We ordered the calamari, onion rings, and chicken wings. They also have a kid's menu which is always great for families. For our entrees we ordered two of the Stonefish sandwiches which were delicious! I've heard since then that the Prime Cheesesteak is amazing and a definite must order so we will try that next time. We were actually so close to ordering it, but my husband and I both were feeling the local catch. Stonefish Grill is locally owned and operated and located in Haleiwa Town Center. They are open daily from 7:30am offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  They also have live music on Aloha Fridays! A great sit down dining option in Haleiwa! read more

The ambience is so relaxing yet stylish .. From the oh so cute basket lights to the seating both inside and outside . Our server was prompt with arriving at our table .. Very pleasant.. My husband had ordered the salad wedge as an appetizer along with a glass of wine while I had passed on appetizers... We also knew what we choose as our main entree so she put in our orders for the Tuscan Salmon and fish piccata .. While enjoying his salad .. Our main courses were on their way out .. When they arrived at our table .. a crab cake salad was placed in front of me & a bit confused was I .. We had gone over the order twice & thought I had said the Tuscan dish quite clearly .. A mistake on both sides... Thru apologizes & laughter.. Somehow they thought I had ordered the crab cake salad & despite the mistake .. They offered it to me at no charge since it was already prepared and they were currently preparing my salmon . Omg ... What a great food experience it turned out for me as the salad was simply amazing :)!! I have never been a big fan of crab but this salad was over the top ! It was so fresh filled with salad greens & a warm crab cake on top that when my entree came out .. I truly had no room left in the body to consume more food ! So they boxed up all of our leftovers to take home & they were just as amazing the next day ! Bree the head chef came out and spoke with us .. What an intelligent sweet young woman she is .. Explained the dishes to us & was simply a joy speaking with her :) So if you are up the North Shore way in Haleiwa.. I was skeptical that this would be a run-of-the-mill type place by the looks of it, but was pleasantly surprised. My wife wanted fish and she said the fish she had here was some of the best she ever had. They were out of the fish katsu sandwich so I got calamari and clam chowder. Both were really good. The calamari wasn't chewy, soggy, or bad in any way. The clam chowder was really good and tasted fresh and hearty. I would eat here again for sure. read more

Came here for lunch. It was vert busy. We ordered the fish and chips and the fish katsu sandwich. The food was...eh. We found a long hair in the salad, which happens. Not a huge deal. We didn't make a fuss and asked for a new one. The fish and chips were bad. The batter was soggy and sloughing off the pieces of fish. Also, never had sailfish before which is what they used for the fish and chips. It's very meaty, almost like a tough piece of chicken. The fries were soggy. The katsu fish sandwich was delicious. Our server and the hostesses were all very nice, but it was so busy that we didn't get checked on. Maybe when it's not so busy, this place may be worth checking out. read more
