    CEDAR PLANK SALMON
    RNelle S.

The bartenders at the Cumberland Mall location need in-service training from Tatum on what a stellar bartender looks like. Tatum greeted me promptly, was super engaging, and was extremely professional. This was the first time at the bar where served their "polished upscale environment" was matched with a "genuine sense of hospitality ." Tatum exceed my expectations. As per usual, the food was delicious. It was the first time I had the salmon and it was wonderful. Thank Tatum and everyone else who made this a great dining experience.

    Filet Medallions and Crab Cake

We made a reservation for a party of 4, during the week, for a birthday dinner. We were seated right away to a corner booth as requested. Our server was delightful and super fast. I asked for a sample of the soup before ordering it and loved it soooo much, I had to order a cup. The Lobster Bisque is fantastic and had real pieces of lobster on top. The complimentary rolls were also impressive as they were soft and flavorful with a slight sweet taste to them. I ordered the Filet Medallions with a Crab Cake and Roasted Cauliflower as my side. I was extremely impressed with the taste and texture of the Crab Cake. The Filet Medallions were about 2 oz each quantity 2. They were pretty good but not as good as my husband's Steak next to me. He ordered the Sweet Potato Casserole with it which was sweet and savory. For dessert, the birthday boy received a complimentary chocolate cake and we also ordered the Key Lime pie. I must say the Key Lime pie was exceptional!! The portion was shareable and the taste was perfection on a plate. We are looking forward to coming back here and highly recommend this restaurant!!

The moment I tried the sweet tea I just knew everything else was going to taste amazing and It did. Seriously, sweet tea doesn't taste the same everywhere. I love how our appetizer was presented. At first I thought it was too small but it was just enough for two people. The food was delicious and fresh. Our server was attentive during our meal and the Ambiance was perfect for an evening dinner.

The service was great but the food was not as good as I remembered. My salad had way too much dressing on it. The server took it back and had it remade and although it was a lot better, I was already full off the bread and appetizers since I had to eat something while waiting for my new salad. This was my first time visiting this location and I probably won't be back. I prefer the Cumberland location.

The ambience was great, the food was delicious, the only issue was that they do not make cocktails or flavored lemonades and me being a nun alcoholic drinker. I wanted something, sweet other than just regular tea and lemonade. I talked to the waiter. He went to the bartender to see if she could just add some type of flavor mango or blueberry. She refused and said she only does that for alcoholic drinks other than that, it was great.

"Stoney River never disappoints! The steak burger was juicy and cooked to perfection, and the artichoke dip was creamy, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. Great food and great experience overall!"

Ladies (and gents!), there are days when self-care looks like fried shrimp and French fries. Today was one of those days and I chose Stoney River for my outing. Here's why... It's quiet. There are lots of window seats. My servers are always kind. This time I had Naomi and she was a literal ray of sunshine. The platter checks all the boxes for crispy indulgence. See my picture! It's a convenient location - you'll find it at the intersection of Alpharetta Hwy and E Crossville Rd. Parking is super easy - there's a gigantic lot adjacent to the restaurant.

An absolutely perfect celebration setting for our dear friend/family. Zane was THE BEST server; attentive, professional, and on top of assuring we paid for dinner (the famous credit card "who can pay first game"). Lol! The ribeyes (Medium Rare) we ordered were perfect! Along with the NY strip, and fresh salads- everything was top notch! The fireplace was perfect for making the environment warm and inviting. The complimentary birthday dessert made the night; will definitely recommend to visit, but request Zane for an amazing experience!!!'

Everything I've had to eat here tastes made from scratch. These biscuits are the best "restaurant" biscuits I've ever eaten. Taste like ones from my Grandma's kitchen! The service was incredible and the atmosphere is upscale casual. The window views from many of the booths is a nice touch. I liked it so much I've been twice this week!

We love Stoney River! Every time we've gone, everyone has been so friendly. The staff is great! We love their deviled eggs for an appetizer & the salads are good too. I love the steak n' fries and my bf loves the chicken fingers. For sides, the sweet potato casserole is my favorite. And dessert, the carrot cake is delicious!

I'll start by saying our meals were good, but we all thought the restaurant over-rated. One can take or leave my assessment -- I'm more of a hole-in-the-wall Asian restaurant kind of person. But the other two? They loooove prime rib. Ambience is clubby, cozy and comfortable, perfect on a cold winter's day. Service is sublime. And the little rolls they start you off with are really good. We asked if two salads would be adequate for the three of us as a starter. "Oh yes!" assured our waitress. Technically, one salad is plenty. They're big. I requested my salmon be cooked medium-rare. It arrived medium-well. To their credit, the server insisted on preparing another. I realized while I was eating that the lemon glaze or whatever was noted on the menu, was undetectable. (The salmon tasted no different than what I cook at home.) The fish came with broccoli al dente -- that's good; I hate mushy -- and a big baked potato. One in my party enjoyed his prime rib. The other said it wasn't juicy. Can't comment; didn't try it. As we're prone to do, we paid the corkage fee -- $25 per bottle -- and brought our own wine. On Saturday afternoon, it was a pleasant, unhurried meal. But will I return? Probably not.

Valet parking directly in back which is a basic requirement for me in this area. Seated on time for a reservation made through Open Table. A little tight inside because these converted homes are limited in space, so you have to wind between tables to get to yours. Not a big deal for us since they seated us in a back room near the bar, which meant there was a little less traffic by our table when we were seated. Two large tables of rowdy groups made for a louder vibe than anticipated, but once they left, it was much less noisy in the small space. They do have outdoor seating but the weather was iffy so I opted for inside. Started with some Gouda fritters. Dinner was fish tacos and the burratta chicken sandwich. Topped off the meal with a yummy slice of carrot cake. Everything was delicious! Service was solid and friendly. Will definitely be back!

We had the sliders for an appetizer and the risotto balls. The sliders were on the special menu and they were so good. They came out very fresh and hot whereas our entrées took a little bit to come out and this was a little like lukewarm. Overall, the food was good I would just recommend more sauce on the sandwiches. I did feel like after the appetizers came out that the service did go down a little, but the manager did come out and talk to us to see things were. He was very friendly easy to talk to and open to our recommendations. One thing to note is there is very limited parking around here, but they do offer valet that is included if you eat there.

Got our table immediately after opting for the valet outside. Once we sat down we ordered some drinks and then of course had to get the corn bread and chicken salad croquets. She had zero personality and barely a voice. At one point, she asked my husband if he'd like another Old Fashioned but never asked if I wanted another glass of wine, even though my empty glass was sitting right there. She brought his drink, dropped it off, and walked away again without asking. I ended up going without another drink altogether. Honestly, she sounded sick enough that they probably should've sent her home and had someone cover her shift. I ordered the steak, which came with roasted fingerling potatoes. I would've preferred mashed potatoes, but the fingerlings were perfectly acceptable. My husband ordered the fried chicken, assuming it would come with mashed potatoes since that's pretty standard with fried chicken. We were told mashed potatoes are only served on Wednesdays. That was just weird. They're mashed potatoes--not a once-a-week specialty item. Really? Since my husband wanted potatoes with his chicken, he asked if he could substitute the side it came with for the same roasted fingerling potatoes that were already being served with my steak. The waitress said she would have to ask the chef. She came back and told us the chef said NO. That made even less sense. The potatoes were obviously already being prepared and served in the restaurant, so why couldn't they simply be substituted as a side? He ended up with the very different fingerling potato salad with peas in it instead. He got his potatoes I suppose. The fried chicken itself was very good, as was my steak, which is why I'm still giving the restaurant four stars. But between mashed potatoes apparently being a Wednesday-only event, the chef refusing a very simple side substitution, and inattentive service that left me sitting with an empty wine glass, the whole experience was unnecessarily strange. Great food, but the service and inflexibility were an epic fail. This could've been a five-star experience.
