Good evening folks, tonight's dinner we will be celebrating a Birthday of a great friend Nichole,…read moreoh to be 25 again lol. This was our first time for us at Bourbon & Bones so hoping for a good experience, we didn't wait long to be seated and immediately our drink order was taken . It wasn't long and our dinner order was taken. We ordered several items and decided to share each so we could try a little of everything, our choices were perfect and everything was good. We all had a good time and would say the staff was very helpful and friendly with any questions we had, the Ambiance was very nice, the decor was nicely done as well, I will put this as one of my top 3 to go to for a nice evening out. Thanks Bourbon & Bones for a good evening out with friends.

Disappointing Anniversary Dinner - Expected More for the Price…read more My wife and I decided to celebrate our anniversary here after getting recommendations from friends who spoke highly of the place. Since we're in the Gilbert area, we loved the idea of a great steakhouse without the drive to Scottsdale. We went in with high expectations -- we're no strangers to special occasion dining, so we knew what we were hoping for. Unfortunately, the experience fell short in almost every way. The ambience and service felt more like a polished chain restaurant than the upscale dining experience the prices suggest. For a $300-$400 dinner for two, you expect a certain level of attentiveness and flow -- and we just didn't get it. After our appetizers, we noticed we never received the pretzel bread everyone raves about. When I asked our waiter, he said they had just finished baking a fresh batch. When it arrived, it was cold -- so that clearly wasn't the case. We also had to flag our waiter down to take our entrée order, which shouldn't happen at this price point. My steak was fine -- just fine. My wife's fish was the same. Nothing memorable, nothing that made us feel like the bill was justified. By the end of the meal we were both ready to leave. Our waiter did offer a complimentary dessert for our anniversary, which was a nice gesture, but we were already checked out mentally and chose to go somewhere else to finish the evening on a better note. If you're in the East Valley looking for a truly special dinner, I'd honestly just make the drive to Mastro's Oceans Club or Steak 44.

Honestly the best steakhouse for the price, especially for birthdays. And I mean great quality for…read morethe price! We usually come here for birthdays due to their loyalty deal and it's totally worth it. We always order steak and we've tried a few of them. However this time around we chose very similar steaks to keep the price the same and use the deal. Both New York Strip. The baked potato is so good! I highly recommend this and make sure to say yes to the bread before dinner. The hosts and servers are very well trained, respectful and attentive. No complaints from me. Also the interior and decor is classy but not over the top or old and gothic for a steakhouse. Also tables are isolated enough so it's not super loud and pretty good privacy between other groups The only recommendations I can make is to ask the lady at the table next to us with the pungent perfume to take it easy jk! You can tell the management cares and are very involved. It's nice to go a restaurant that's properly and well managed. It's just an easy and low stress experience.

I got the peppercorn steak with a baked potato. The kiddos got their kids meal. One with cheesy pasta as they call it but it's really just Mac and cheese. My other son got chicken tenders. Their kids meal is a great deal as they get a veggie tray which has carrots, celery and crackers, their choice of an entree, a drink, and even ice cream! I wish I could just come and order a kids meal. The best part is the ciabatta bread that comes to your table before the meal arrives. If used to be sourdough but unfortunately they changed it. It's still good bread though! Service was on point and food came out fast! It's a nice restaurant and lightly dimmed inside.

We were served by Ana who took time to explain the drinks and items we were interested on the menu. She was just absolutely great! We started with the Guacamole n chips and the Elote. Both were delicious and the chips are made in house I believe. We then had the short rib Birria and man it was onolicious! The beef just fell apart and the marrow with chips was lip smacking good! It fed the both of us just right. For dessert we had the Tres Leches cake and man we loved it too. The cake was moist and sweet but the ice cream was mild so it went perfect with the cake. We were stuffed! We will definately be back again to try more dishes and we look forward to seeing Ana again!

We tried the chicharonnes, which we did enjoy, but the avocado purée that accompanied it tasted very preserved - Possibly with citrus or something else? The tortillas also did not have much flavor. They tasted almost like something pre-packaged that you could purchase in the store. I expect more robust flavor profiles for House-made tortillas. We also tried the ribeye which we ordered medium rare but it came out medium well+. When we told our server about the steak, she did offer to have it remade but we hate wasting food so we declined the offer. We wanted to try the tres Leches cake because we saw another table order it and it looked so interesting. We didn't want the ice cream on top so we asked if there was anyway they could sub out the scoop of ice cream for a single small churro. Our server told us if we purchased the churros, she would give us the Tres Leches on the house to make up for the steak mishap. We accepted the deal though I don't think it appropriately addressed the issue. The tres leches was dense and firm, not like any other that tres leches I've ever had. The churros had a filling (either cajeta or dulce de leche - I really couldn't distinguish) that in my opinion, did not add value. I would've preferred a percentage off the bill or some other proposal to make it right. It just really wasn't there for me. I've talked to several people in the East Valley about this restaurant since I dined there, and seems my experience was shared among those people too.

They were not just confirming the reservation but asking which type of table we'd like, any mobility issues (as there is seating upstairs as well as the main floor) and what, if any, was the occasion. When we arrived for our 5pm reservation, we were instantly seated and met our AMAZING server Kay. She was an absolute gem. Our daughters have Celiac which Kay was incredibly attentive to. She was kind, funny and helpful. We'll definitely be sitting in her section again! The ambiance is beautiful and bright allowing the natural sunlight in. The live piano player was fantastic, calming and not too loud. The food was top notch. We've been to other steakhouses and the salt used, has always made us feel bloated and swollen walking out especially in the AZ heat. Elliot's was refreshing and none of us felt the need to hydrate after. We'll be coming back soon. Whether it's just a date night for my husband and I or an entire family celebration, Elliot's has become our go to. PS: the manager went above and beyond for us. Our daughter purchased my husband and I a gift certificate at Christmas. She didn't e-claim the certificate and we had intended to use it towards our family dinner. After calling the restaurant, the manager went through the 60 transactions of gift certificates on the date ours was purchased and applied it prior to us arriving. Service at every level was warm, welcoming and kind.

We went to Elliott's for my birthday dinner and overall had a very enjoyable evening…read more We started with cocktails--my Old Fashioned was made with Old Forester 1910, one of my favorite bourbons, and was excellent. My partner had a French 75 that she really enjoyed. For dinner, we both ordered the 6 oz filet medium. She chose the demi-glace and I had the bone marrow butter, which was absolutely delicious. We also shared the French fries, and they were excellent. The only disappointment was that both of our steaks came out closer to medium-rare than medium. The flavor was very good, but the undercooking left the filets a little chewier than we prefer and they were missing that tender, almost melt-in-your-mouth texture we expect from a properly cooked filet. That said, we enjoyed the atmosphere, cocktails, sauces and sides, and had a very nice birthday dinner. There was a lot to like about Elliott's. I'd definitely give them another visit--I'd just be a little more specific about the steak temperature next time.
