    Over cooked prime rib

We drive 30 minutes to try this place out. My friend wanted to go for her birthday.. it was very disappointing . We both got the prime rib dinner. Asked for medium rare. Both very over cooked. Tasted horrible. The corn on the cob was old. Looked like it had been sitting out all day. This place was a waste of time and money. Avoid this place. It's not worth it

Had a weekday breakfast here. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Your normal relaxed diner vibes.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Had the ham steak breakfast special. Came out as you'd expect - and do appreciate the ham wasn't super salty (which I feel happens at some diners). Would def come back (again)!

I have the most amazing neighbors, I'm truly blessed. Today they offered to share a pie with me from STOX and it was absolute heaven. It was a strawberry cream cheese pie. Hopefully I got the name of it right? The inside had a cream cheese custard without the usual thickness, & density that most cream cheese desserts have. If you want to opt for something lighter, while longing for that cream cheese flavor; this is a great alternative. It was topped with chunky strawberries and a fresh whipped cream. This is the second time I get the honor of tasting something from their bakery and I'm never disappointed.

Three carne asada tacos med rare w fresh guacamole.

From start to finish of my visit, I was pleasantly surprised. I came in on a night in which I thought all places had "Taco Tuesday" but not here. Here's the kicker... Angela my server was nice enough to offer a 3-taco plate although it wasn't offered on menu. Three carne asada tacos w the absolute freshest guacamole and heartiest portion of beef (Medium rare). [[HIGHLIGHT]]Food was amazing, service was even better and the environment which seemed to be made up of locals (due to the camaraderie) was awesome.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This definitely a place a will be returning to for good food, great company and awesome service!

Old style diner that serves breakfast and diner food. Got the Cuban pork and ham panini, served with a dill pickle and choice of side:I got potato salad. Good crunch on the bread. Melted cheese plus sweet mustard. My companions got the half daily sandwich (pulled pork dip) with rice and chicken soup in a cup and the Stox hamburger special. All sandwiches were well made. Very personable waitress Maria, she can often to check on drinks and refills for coffee ( I had two cups late afternoon!). [[HIGHLIGHT]]Quite empty dining room this afternoon. The place closes by 8 pm.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is a connecting bar that stays open later and also serves the entire menu if you're looking for food.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I took a peek in the bar and there was a sizable crowd at just a little past 4pm![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Looks like they have a number of regulars.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Took home several miniature pies : banana cream, lemon cream, blueberry cheesecake, cookies and a brownie.

    Yummy coffee!

Updated review was disappointed that you have to sit in the bar to get an alcohol beverage and false advertisement on Banner says happy hour but when I brought it to the waitress attention, she said yeah it's up there but we don't do that special anymore so they're advertising something and once they get you in the door, they don't honor it. She said you can speak to the manager, but they're having happy hour anymore, but it's been up there for months, the sign, and have yet to take it down. I feel like that's really sad to have you sit down moved twice locations and then not honor happy hour when there's a sign above outside advertised for over several months and is still there. I am very sad because this was my go to spot but since this experience, I have yet to return. Also, it says breakfast all day, but if you go in the afternoon, their breakfast was not good. Only ordered in the morning time tasted better when you order breakfast during dinner time it was not very tasteful.

We have been coming to Stox since I was born! It's consistent! That's what you want in a hometown Diner! I always get breakfast no matter the time of day because there's something about their eggs...they are rich and decadent! But the real reason we keep coming back is the homemade brownirs!!! OMGOODNESS...do not leave without one! Mine came home with a few bites missing The wait staff is very attentive and always kind!

I started with an Old Fashioned drink, which was solid - strong enough to pack a little punch but still taste good. We ordered a few appetizers - the Korean Beef Frachos were especially good and the Brussel sprouts were very solid. With so many appetizers, I went with a Caesar salad and two soft tacos (shrimp and fish). The Caesar salad was good and healthy sized, so I could share with others. It was a typical, but good, Caesar which didn't have anything fancy about it (no anchovies, egg yolk, etc), but nothing was really lacking either. Both soft/street tacos were good, respectable in size and very tasty. Other people in our party got burgers, goat cheese salad, chicken sandwiches, and everyone seemed very happy with their meals. Service was friendly and casual. Our server was the one who really recommenced the Frachos, which was a great call. I've been to Eurekas before and always been satisfied. I'd probably rate the typical location a 4-star experience, but this one seemed extra friendly and the food I enjoyed more than I expected, so a solid 5 star experience in my book.

Some of us had been to different Eureka! locations in Northern California and suggested to check this one, which was just across the parking lot from BJ's, out. I was glad we did. Not only was there no wait, they had a very chill covered outdoor patio as well. Their indoor area had more of a sports bar feel, which was cool, too. Staff were super friendly; our server told us about their loyalty program, and gave us some great recommendations on food and drinks. We're early enough to order quite a few things off the "Hoppy Hour" menu. I had the Wild Child cocktail, which had a pretty color, and was quite yummy. We shared 3 appetizers: Truffle Cheese Fries, Crispy Glazed Brussel Sprouts, Korean Beef Frachos. All 3 were delicious, and our favorite was the beef frachos, which was like an upgraded nachos, with very flavorful/tender ribeye steak pieces and mildly spicy seasonings with cheese over crispy potato wedges. It's truly the bomb! For my entree, I had the Al Pastor Fish Taco and the Blackened Shrimp Taco. Both were scrumptious, especially the shrimp one. My husband gave me some of his Caesar Salad, which was fresh and quite good. My sister-in-law shared some of her Napa Chicken Sandwich with me; it was delightful. Our daughter had the Goat Cheese Citrus Salad with added chicken and no pecans. She enjoyed it but said the amount of chicken she got wasn't worth the additional charge. Overall, we all enjoyed our food and had a great time. With the happy hour deals, I thought their prices were very reasonable. Would definitely consider coming here again for our next gathering.

The place comfy, the ambience is dark and bar-like, the drink vibes look chill, I have no complaints about the service. The service was good and the staff was nice. All this makes the steak disappointment that much worse for me. We ordered Ribeye and Shrimp Salmon Lobster Mac and Cheese Asparagus Lobster Roll (Sushi) A drink from the bar The Steak.. The steak came served on a cast-iron skillet. I ordered it medium-well. It arrived a little more medium than usual, but that was not an issue. What disappointed me was the puddle the steak was sitting in. Traditionally said puddle is a mixture of butter, thyme, and whatever seasonings you used on the steak when cooking it. In this case, that puddle was flavorless. It really tasted like the steak was just sitting in a flavorless oil. The steak was very bland, very difficult to think someone could send out a piece of meat out like that, especially when you find out what it costs. It was not worth it and not worth the final tab unfortunately. Really wanted to find a steak W for Downey but I don't see myself being interested in this place again.
