On June 29, 2021, I ordered a footlong BLT sandwich at this location. I was served by the manager. When I noticed he was putting too few strips of bacon on the sandwich--six instead of eight--I noted that the sandwich always comes with eight strips. (I've ordered the same sandwich at dozens of Subway outlets: the footlong always has eight strips of bacon.) The manager said the sandwich normally comes with only four strips and that he was "doing you a favor" by gratuitously adding two extra strips. I repeated that the sandwich is supposed to have eight strips, not six, but he refused to use eight strips. Although caught, the manager persisted in an outright lie. I have to conclude that at this location customers are cheated whenever he has the means to do so. read more

While in Bishop last Friday morning I needed a good, healthy breakfast. Stopped by this Subway and was not disappointed! I was greeted by a smiling woman who asked for my order, then she set about making me a delicious breakfast sandwich. I opted for the steak egg and cheese (pepper jack) on flatbread with tomato, green bell pepper, red onions, and jalapenos. Yum! Perfectly toasted, it was very tasty and hit the spot! This location is very clean and well organized. There's plenty of seating area and you'll be greeted by friendly employees. They're located in the Rite Aid shopping center, so pay attention when driving by or you might miss it! read more

I went in the other day to order a couple sandwiches. One of the staff was cleaning the floor and the other staff member was in the back. As soon as I walked in I was greater by the staff member cleaning the floor. She immediately stopped cleaning and went behind the counter and washed her hands before starting to take my order. She also called out for the other staff members assistance to expedite my order. Both staff members were extremely polite and cheerful. It was a Wonderful experience. read more

I wish there were negative stars for the rating system. The owner, Manny Singh, is the rudest, most sexist person I have ever encountered in the customer service industry. I placed an online order for sandwiches for my team and specified a pick up time. The order was not done when I arrived and the manager, Estella, was very nice but told me they did not make large orders until they got a verbal confirmation based on the owner's instructions. This was confusing as the order was paid in full. I was clearly upset and the experience made me 25 minutes late because I had to wait for the sandwiches. When Mr. Singh called me after I placed a complaint on the subway website, he was defensive, arrogant, unapologetic and I asked him to stop interrupting me 3 times. He raised his voice and told me he did not like the way I was speaking to him(??). He referred to me as LADY multiple times. When I asked if he cared or had any intention of recouping my business through a gift certificate or refund, he replied "I knew it. All you wanted this whole time was a refund." I was both shocked and offended. It was a matter of poor online systems and his self-imposed policies to make a profit, NOT to make customers happy. I encourage everyone to use Jersey Mikes in Lone Pine on the way in to town, Mahogany or ANY other sandwich shop. Subway has lost a customer for life because of this owner's attitude and behavior. Then the owner stepped up and told me that they were supposed to press redeem, not me. Food is always pretty good but I order on line and have trouble with the male server 0n my last three orders. I always add a message requesting that an initial be written on the sandwich ( ie T for Tuna etc) so that the right one is opened by the right person & also request napkins. This hasn't occurred and also I've had minor problems with the order itself ( ie wrong ingredients put on ). The Subway we used to go to in Bishop on the main drag is gone as they are remodeling the strip mall it used to be in. So I Yelped out this location which is off the beaten path. It's easy to get to, it's got AMPLE parking and it's totally local. Not crowded, friendly service and the same consistent quality of Subway sandos. 5'0" dark hair worker female shouldn't even got out of bed this morning. She knocked off several pieces of my chicken bacon ranch chicken pieces while adding cheese to the sandwich. All Subways are about the same but some assembly lines are faster/slower and some are competent/incompetent. This one is fast and competent. The store is also a little bigger than most of the ones I've been to, in case you want to eat in. read more

I love subway but I was disappointed in the service in this place. I was there this morning and their female staff was not very helpful. She was ignoring me as I was standing in front of her. At that time she looked busy preparing some buns to bake so I understand that. But after waiting til shes done working on her third tray of buns I politely asked her if shes ready to take my order. We passed through Bishop today during our cross country road trip and probably had the best Subway experience ever! Our server/cashier, Kim, greeted us with the utmost, sincere hospitality and was totally the highlight of our day. I would love to know what day the bread is baked. Today, ordered a sandwich the bread was so old it was falling apart while trying to eat the sandwich. Subway is a very nice place with good fresh food. They have good prices and very good cookies . I suggest they make bigger spaces for more customers. The first thing I was told when I walked in was that the toaster was broken, but I proceeded to order my turkey sandwich. I decided to also ask for raspberry cheesecake cookies only to be totally ignored by the lady at the cashier who gave me macadamia nut cookies. I proceeded to eat my sandwich and then found a piece of cardboard (or so it looked like) in my sandwich. I also asked for a water cup only to realize that there was no water at the soda fountain. So then what's the point of having a water cup? I am severely disappointed with this subway.
