If I could I would give this Taco Bell no star...I check in at the order menu for drive thru...when I got to the window there was some confusion about my order then Jessica told me I didn't check in at the window and I would have to pull to the side and wait and some one would bring out my order...I said wait I did check in and they even asked if my order looked correct on the screen...she again called me a liar...when I asked to cancel my order Jessica(the manager) told me I have to do it thru the app...the. closed the window on me. I wait until she return and ask her if she could please show me how to cancel on the app and gave her my phone...the manager then told me she doesn't know how to use the app because she has never used it. Hit or miss you never know with this Taco Bell. My orders have been correct but carelessly wrapped creating a mess at the bottom of the bag. I don't eat food from the bottom of a bag. Drive thru ordering is now a computer screen and voice that literally SCREAMS at you. It's ridiculous. I can't imagine how disturbing it must be to neighboring businesses. She audibly said "oh my god" annoyed when we asked if we could change an item in our order at the drive thru and threatened not to give me my food because I ordered it on the app for drive thru pick up while my friends ordered it at the drive thru in person, but said "she'd let it go this one time". My food has always met my Taco Bell standards The food: we ordered supreme crunch wrap, nacho fries, Doritos tacos, and cheese roll ups. All items had balanced ingredients, they did not lack any flavor. The food was hot. Luis gave me excellent and fast service. Soda drinks tasted good. Dined in, ordered not at the kiosk but with a worker at the register. Waited for 15-20 minutes while we watched other people get their orders and drive thru serve 5+ vehicles. Only for us to ask about our food and receive a "we don't have that order what did you order?" A special needs customer came in and said "excuse me" probably 10 times before someone acknowledged him. They told him to order at the kiosk and he let them know it's too hard for him, they are SO inconvenienced to do anything. I am so disappointed in the service of our Taco Bell manager. I went through the drive through and I ordered food only. When I got to the window, the manager Laura tries to hand me a Pepsi. I said I didn't order any drinks, I ordered food only. She waves the receipt at me arguing with me saying I ordered it. I said the last thing I said was a burrito Supreme. Dangerously slow service, even for a Taco Hell. You're not going to starve to death, but you ponder the notion, waiting for who knows what. This location is in a dying shopping center. Seriously, they might be the only tenant left on the property, and as towns on the 395 go, Bishop is one of the largest. The cognitive dissonance for coming here as an option to waiting in line at Schaat's is palpable. Heck, probably would have been better off getting hot food from the case across the street at Starbucks. I have to remember that Taco Bell is merely a vehicle for PepsiCo to sell their drinks, and never to order food here again. I feel like if you know what Taco Bell is, you can't be mad if that's what you get when you order it. I was raised on Taco Bell, so while I know it's an Americanized bastardization of Mexican food, I know that through the lens of nostalgia and childhood innocence. I just moved to the area and was relieved to see that there was a Taco Bell close to where I live. The thing is, since my childhood, I've become a more conscious eater and a vegetarian. I thought that spelled doom for my future with Taco Bell. Then I discovered that there can be vegetarian substitutions (Crunchwrap supreme with black beans still taste great) and that you can order from the Taco Bell app! So I used the app to order a vegetarian Crunchwrap, asked for a few packets of diablo sauce, and made my way over. I told them my name on the drive-through, they found my order, and since it was already paid for via the app, it was nearly contactless (they gave me my order by extending it on a serving tray). When I opened the bag, I saw that they gave me a GENEROUS handful of diablo sauce. Really pulled through! The Crunchwrap supreme was crunchy and extra hefty with the black beans substituting for the ground beef. Enjoyed my meal, have a stash of tb sauce at home, I'm a happy vegetarian camper.
