I've had an average experience here before, but this time was the worst visit I've had at any Subway. If you are looking for fast and friendly service, avoid this location. I was here on a Saturday at 1:30 and there was a long waiting line. The two girls working at that time were having trouble managing about 5 customers. After it had been about ten minutes of me waiting, one the employees went on break. Now there was only one employee managing an even longer line. Another couple of minutes went by until it was my time to order. There were seven people behind me waiting. Some people left the line due to the wait. The employees working that time need better training in serving customers faster. Took my kids there for the Gravity falls kids meal today and the A/C was turned off when it was 99* out. My kids where sweaty and i was pissed about that. I love this subway each and every time I am there ! There is a young women named "Tori" I believe and she is there every time I am there . This tells me that she's a hard worker and not only ...... She impresses me and other customers on how fast and efficient she is ! Everytime I take my break there for lunch my eyes are on her . The man there is very sweet kind and caring . This is the BEST Subway in Elk Grove! They make the sandwiches just how we order them, and they are so clean! The other Subways around here are dirty inside, and as soon as we went in and saw the sticky, dirty floors and un-wiped tables, we turned right around and left. We live closest to this store, and sometimes would go to another store, and now drive all the way back to this one! I like the gave that they all wear gloves when the make the sandwiches, and have a different person ring you up so they aren't touching the dirty money and the food at the same time. The ONLY thing I can complain about is, I wish they would answer their phones so we could place orders ahead of time, and I wish they were open later because we have tried to get sandwiches after nine, and had to settle for burgers instead. read more

Probably the cleanest and most efficient subway I've ever been to over the last few years. The prep area is always completely clean with no ingredients spilling over into other areas--no pieces of tomato in the lettuce or jalapeños in the cheese, etc. The employees are always SO friendly, polite, efficient, they make recommendations, etc. Yesterday I added jalapeños, pepper jack cheese, and a little ranch to my tuna sandwich for the first time and now I cannot wait to go back. My wife and I usually get our subway sandwiches here. They are a hit or miss depending on who is making them. Yesterday, a new manager (I think her name is Jerica) made our sandwiches really well! She wasn't sloppy and just tossing this and that just to hurry up the line. She took her time and carefully made each sandwich. She didn't even give me a hard time for using a coupon. They usually say, " this coupon isn't for our store" and give me a hard time for using it. She looked at it and simply said you have to buy a drink with that too. What can I say... Marie not only made the 3 sandwiches and chopped salad that I ordered all by herself, she also made my day. She greeted me as I came thru the door. She asked for my order and I only had to say it once because she actually listened to my answer. She made each sandwich quickly and flawlessly. I wish every employee could conduct themselves the way this young lady does. I stopped at this Subway a few months ago for a takeout breakfast and found a clean restaurant with fresh food and friendly service (when I mentioned it was my first time having breakfast at Subway, I was given a complimentary coffee to thank me for coming in). When I decided to stop for breakfast this morning, I found myself traveling out of my way to return to the Subway location. I again found the store clean, the service efficient and friendly, and the food was fresh and well prepared. I will definitely return. read more

Worse subway service. I went there today and ordered 2 sandwiches. The girl who made our sandwiches was rude and not friendly. We usually go to this Subway because it is nearer to my house at 8145 Elk Grove Blvd, next to the Chevron station, which is about the same quality food as the other locations we have visited in Elk Grove. Today this Subway told us the manager does not want to honor the TV ads, specifically this months Customer Appreciation special subs for $2.00. We left and went to the Subway located by Burger King, 8639 Elk Grove Blvd and they were friendly and honored the promotion. We will no longer visit this Subway and take our business to the other side of Hwy 99, even though it is about 1 mile further down the road. read more

Thank goodness there are so many Subway locations in Elk Grove, because it will be worth the extra drive to always skip this location and never eat here again. The person making our sandwich was not at all friendly (I think he was the owner). My husband got the herb bread and I had the wheat bread, both were hard, NOT FRESH! The veggies didn't look very fresh and he was very stingy with the meat and cheese (prob because he was the owner) but it didn't even look like the minimum amount. We did not finish our rock hard sandwiches. Save your money and drive onto the next Subway. Trust me! I believe it may not have been the owner, but the Manager and his name is Nadir. We stopped by this subway on our way home from a trip the other night. I didn't catch his name but there was a tall skinny guy working. He is probably the best subway employee I have ever encountered, at any location. He was incredibly upbeat and friendly and made small talk while he stocked the chips. The girl who was actually making my sandwich was very sweet as well. They made exactly what I ordered, without issues or confusion. Great customer service! Staff if friendly! The food is consistent. Great value at 5.00 for a good sandwhich. I eat at this location often due to the great experience. For some reason, this is the most expensive Subway in the Elk Grove and South Sac areas. I went in and ordered a Turkey Italiano, which I get at other locations all the time, but when I went to pay, I was informed it was $2.50 more than other locations! Every other location offered the T.I. at the same price point as the Italian B.M.T., but this location chose to sell the T.I. as a "Premium" sandwich, even though the only difference is turkey instead of ham! Almost refused to pay for my order and just walk out, but I had things to do and needed to eat right then. On top of that, while my sandwich was being made, the guy had to ask me three or four different times what kind of sandwich he was making. Won't ever be going back. read more

Basic Subway, but nothing special to make it above average, and one major thing to make it below average, as far as the customer experience. I went in to the store to grab a quick sandwich on my way out of elk grove. There was a long line of multiple people who were being helped by only one employee, continuously helping two people at the same time & trying to get both of their sandwich orders correct. I was impressed by this guy at first sight, but that level of admiration decreased by the minute after watching and hearing all of the mistakes he was making. Constantly mixing up the guy who wanted no lettuce with the guy who wanted only lettuce, the guy who wants no mustard and the guy who wants heavy mustard, and having to start all over because the customer demanded it. My fury began when I noticed a second employee, standing off to the side, hidden away from all the customers, who was casually leaning against the we all, texting on his phone. REALLY?!?! This is what you're doing while your coworker is struggling to get even one sandwich right because he is handling two people at once?!?! Ridiculous. At least my sandwich came out okay, because I took my time and didn't rush the already flustered "Sandwich Artist", but it was disappointing that this "quick stop" took MUCH more time than I would have hoped, all because one employee likes slacking off. read more

This Subway location DOES NOT HONOR the buy one get one free deal that is advertised across Subway's commercials and website. The store manager was working the sandwich line today and was pointing out to customers that the deal means that only a six inch sub was available for being free. On Subway's website it specifically says, "Today Only! National sandwich day! Get a free sub when you buy any sub and drink. Free sub of equal or lesser value." Other customers tried to buy a footlong to get a footlong for free, but the manager wouldn't allow it. So my brother and i tried to buy a footlong and get a six inch sub for free. But the manager tells us that in order to get the deal we have to specifically buy a six inch sub to get a six inch for free. Even though we were trying to pay more money for a larger size, the manager refused to let us participate in the deal. read more
